Bray turned his body and raised his greatsword.

The broad blade of the greatsword blocked all the hidden weapons, producing a crisp clanging sound.

"Ugh!!!! Ugh!!!!" Marlene clung tightly to Bray's waist, trying her best not to fall.

Marlene suddenly realized that Bray was probably a very dangerous individual.

Bray shifted his position, his greatsword moved horizontally, and he began to slow down.

Within moments, the Bray had successfully braked, but the railcar was still speeding forward, and it was unclear when it would slow down.

Katrina's eyes gleamed with a strange light, her face filled with excitement.

"Isn't this big news?!"

"It seems the Empire and the Federation have something to do; it's time to start investigating."

"What an interesting young man," Katrina, huddled in the corner, licked her lips and gave a seductive smile.

Katrina watched the busy men in black with amusement before disappearing into the darkness.

"Quickly silence everyone in the carriage." The leader of the men in black struggled to his feet and gave the order to his men.

However, because of the forced movement, the wound was torn open, and excruciating pain surged into the leader of the men in black's brain.

"That guy held back..." The leader of the men in black guessed that if the other party hadn't held back, he might not have been able to withstand even one sword strike.

However, he was overthinking it. Bray's sword didn't have the power to instantly kill the leader of the men in black after slicing through his inner armor. Ultimately, it was due to insufficient strength, and the leader of the men in black's inner armor was not cheap.

"Understood!" The men in black scattered like shadows.

Screams echoed throughout the carriage, but they did nothing to make the leader of the men in black happy.

“That guy…” The leader of the men in black touched the horrifying wound on his chest and felt a sharp pain.

Just then, a bird flew out of the carriage and soared into the sky.

"A bird?" the leader of the men in black asked in confusion.

Why are there birds in the carriage? Then the leader of the men in black suddenly realized something and threw the dagger in his hand hard at the bird.

The dagger, like a streak of light, struck the bird.

However, the bird nimbly turned its small body and narrowly dodged the attack.

"Who is it..." The leader of the men in black certainly didn't believe that the bird was real.

Transfiguration magic is not uncommon; at least the leader of the men in black knows several masters of it.

The leader of the men in black suddenly realized that this incident was no longer simply a private matter between the Empire and the Federation.

The birds fluttered in the air and cried out a few times before finally flying to a grove of trees far away from the railway tracks.

The bird landed on a tree branch and then transformed into a woman.

Katrina stretched and groaned.

"Honestly, the railway tracks are so bare, it's really hard to show myself." Katrina had mastered a master-level transformation spell, so turning into a bird was a piece of cake for her.

However, I didn't expect the leader of the men in black to be so accurate; he was almost hit by the dagger.

"That was close, that was close." Katrina patted her chest.

Katrina felt she should take a trip to the Federation.

“The interesting things are beginning—” In a mansion in the empire, a middle-aged man looked worried.

This is the Empire's Chief of Staff—Whitewell.

The man, who is in his fifties, has been having a lot of worries lately.

"Those guys have made things so complicated again." The recent incident with the railcar has been giving White a terrible headache.

Although the investigation was ordered by Bai Wei, the personnel were not chosen by Bai Wei himself.

Who was out of their mind to choose that brutal guy to search...?

What gave White a headache was the death of the Zeig officer in the railcar incident.

Zeg is absolutely useful on the battlefield, but his brutality makes him unsuitable for investigative missions.

"Which idiot sent Zeg out?" Bai Wei roared.

“Chief of Staff, it was Lieutenant General Michel who sent Lord Zeger on this mission,” said a junior staff officer standing next to Bai Wei.

“Michelle…” That guy who’s always clamoring to go to war with the Federation.

But even Michelle should know what she should and shouldn't do.

"Captain Zeg obtained the opportunity to go on the mission by threatening Major General Michel," the junior staff officer said.

“Personal matters…that idiot.” Bai Wei was, to be honest, a little angry.

And you, a lieutenant general, were threatened with being demoted to colonel?! Aren't you ashamed?!

"Summon all officers of major general rank and above. I want them to know just how serious this incident is!!!!" Bai Wei slammed his fist on the table.

"Then I'll give an explanation to the outside world in my name. I don't need to go into details, right?" Bai Wei looked at the junior staff officer after catching his breath.

"Understood!" The junior staff officer straightened up and saluted.

"By the way, how's the capture operation that the Marshal ordered going?" Bai Wei suddenly remembered something and asked.

"The mission has started successfully!"

"Well, that's good. At least there's one thing that's going well." The chief of staff lit a cigarette and started smoking.

In Clinton’s underground.

A young man wearing black-rimmed glasses calmly looked at the soldiers surrounding him.

"What brings you here?" the bespectacled man said softly, showing no surprise at the group of strangers who had barged into his lab.

Rivi is a mage who studies various mystical things and has a certain reputation in the capital.

"The Imperial military suspects you of having ties to the Federation. Please come with us!" An officer stepped forward, his tone relatively friendly.

“I see.” Levi looked at the soldiers around him.

"If we've been discovered, this will be troublesome," Levi muttered to himself, then took a step back.

"Please don't move. If you take another step, the dozen or so magic guns behind me might open fire on you," the officer sighed and said to Rivi.

"ping!!!!"

The sound of shattering glass rang out.

A monster, made entirely of flesh and blood, pounced out from behind Levi.

It resembles a human in appearance, but it lacks the features that can be described as human.

Without a moment's hesitation, the Imperial soldiers unleashed a barrage of bullets.

The magic bullet hit the monster, but only knocked off some debris.

“GUAAAAAAAAA!!” the monster growled.

"Is this all you're relying on, Mr. Reeves?" the officer sighed.

“My name is Reihart, and I am an Imperial Brigadier General.” The officer’s eyes turned cold the next moment.

"Target resists, kill permitted." After saying this, Reihart took a step forward.

"Huanghu Fist"!

A roar even more terrifying than the monster's growl rang out as Reihart's fist sank into the deformed body.

"A chimera, and a type I've never seen before," Reihart muttered to himself, slowly withdrawing his fist.

Its body shattered, and the monster collapsed to the ground, without even a twitch, completely dead.

"..." Revi raised his hands and looked at Reihart expressionlessly.

"I'll go with you."

“Take him away, no need to be so polite.” Reihart took out a handkerchief and wiped his fist.

In no time, the soldiers had tied up Rivi.

"Don't let him use magic, he's a mage," Reihart reminded the soldier, causing Levi's face to darken.

Reeves, who had originally planned to feign surrender and then take the opportunity to escape, sighed.

All of Reihart's attempts were seen through.

But after thinking about this, Levi not only felt no frustration, but instead laughed.

"Behave yourself!" shouted one of the soldiers who had grabbed Reeves.

"Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!" Levi, who had maintained his composure throughout, suddenly burst into wild laughter.

He gave everyone the impression of having a split personality.

Reihart clenched his fists and stared intently at Revi.

This was not the first time Reihart had encountered such a situation during his years of military service.

If it weren't for the strong demands from above, Reihart would have already punched him.

Even a lieutenant general has to take orders from his superiors.

“I advise you not to have any wicked ideas,” Reihart snapped.

"A crooked idea?" Levi's smile vanished.

Such a sudden change in expression is very uncomfortable to watch.

This behavior made Reihart even more vigilant.

“I guarantee I can kill you before you can even pronounce the full name of the spell,” Reihart said.

“Of course I know.” Reeves squinted at Reihart.

"That's definitely a crooked idea, hahaha!!!"

"You haven't even seen a corner of this world clearly, yet you're so self-righteous. How laughable!"

“Seeing your ignorance makes me laugh,” Levi laughed, even laughing until tears streamed down his face.

Do you know the difference between high and low varieties?

“What do you want to say?” Reihart replied, narrowing his eyes.

"Pfft—" Levi couldn't help but laugh out loud, as if Reihart's remarks were so ridiculous.

"Hahahahahahahaha!!!" Levi laughed again.

Then the laughter stopped abruptly.

"As expected!! Hahahaha!!! How wise I am!! My knowledge surpasses that of so many people!!"

Then, in the next moment, Levi's voice turned cold.

Goodbye, you fool.

"Boom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The sound of the explosion echoed throughout the research lab.

Instead of saying the name of the spell aloud, Levi cast it using the code words from their previous conversation.

Even Reihart hadn't thought of this.

After the smoke cleared, the research lab was completely destroyed, and the ordinary soldiers were scattered all over the place; none of them survived.

Reeves scattered a few pieces on the ground.

Only his upper body was intact.

"Hahaha!! Cough cough!!! Hahaha!!!!!!!!! Aragami!!!"

"How I wish I could witness that figure with my own eyes!!"

See you next time.

The sound gradually faded, and Reeves died completely.

Only Brigadier General Reihart is still alive.
