Shirou, who returned from the Fairy Kingdom

Author: Spica

Introduction:

Having unified Britain and established the Fairy Kingdom, Shirou returned to Japan in 1993.

"Fuyuki, what a peaceful city..."

Shirou thought he could live out the rest of his life in peace, but he unexpectedly saw a familiar figure.

"Morgan!! When did you arrive?"

The blonde girl exclaimed, "Just now, a madman mistook me for Joan of Arc, and now... how can anyone possibly confuse me with my sister? I am King Arthur!"

Shirou: "Laughable. You're King Arthur? Then who am I?"

Volume 1, Chapter 001: Shirou Amamiya

Let me tell you a story about a boy.

The story of a boy who yearns for justice more than anyone else, but is also more cruel than anyone else because of it.

That boy's dream was very simple.

I have always longed for the creation of an ideal country free from strife.

It was originally just a dream borrowed from someone.

At the tender age of seven, he drifted to a distant and unfamiliar other world.

Discovered, deceived, captured... and ultimately became human slaves of the indigenous fairies.

For several years afterward, the boy suffered endless humiliation and abuse.

At the end of his despair and misery, a girl known as a witch rescued him.

The boy was kept by the witch of the Land of Rain and became her first companion.

When exactly did she begin to want to realize her dream?

Perhaps it was to repay the debt of saving his life.

Perhaps he was attracted by her beauty.

Or perhaps, the boy's reason was actually the same as the witch's—he simply wanted a "place to stay".

A boy with nowhere to go.

A witch with nowhere to go.

The two took action to create their own ideal world.

On this land, wars between peoples and unknown calamities have raged for six thousand years.

They ward off calamities, they mediate disputes.

However, after each achievement, they were treated as a nuisance and rejected.

In the beginning, they could only lick each other's wounds.

Later, she met trustworthy partners, and even the stubborn witch gradually learned to be tactful.

Over the years, the two have overcome countless victories and defeats, setbacks and betrayals, arguments and reconciliations.

In the process, they realized that their enemies were not only calamities, but also the fairies they wanted to protect.

The boy and the witch both became cruel and ruthless, and their methods began to escalate.

They overcame all calamities, suppressed all opponents, and conquered all clans.

In the end, the dream finally came true.

However, just as they unified the islands and clans, established capitals and order, and their ideal world was within reach—

The boy realized that his lifespan was coming to an end.

Unlike witches or fairies, he was a human with a short lifespan.

The boy had been using magic to prolong his life, relying on hibernation, physical modification, and other means to live through three thousand years, but he forgot that he was ultimately a human soul.

He forgot that there would ultimately be no place for him in this world.

In the first year of the Queen's calendar, the boy ended his life on the eve of his coronation.

His tombstone reads:

"The magician from another land, son of Orkney, fairy knight Arthur, ancestral king of Britain, husband of Queen Morgan—"

The nameless king rests here.

He was once a king, and he will return as a king.

……

……

……

"Haa...haa...haa...haa...!"

Shirou Amamiya got up from the wooden bed, panting heavily.

What comes into view is a clean and bright space.

This is the Prydwen coffin that Morgan specially made for me. It's so spacious... Wait! Shouldn't I be dead already!?

Shirou looked around blankly, bewildered.

What did I do here? Is this still the land of fairies?

The scene before me seemed somewhat familiar.

This is the children's welfare home where I used to live!

I'm back?

Back in Fuyuki from Britain!?

Look down at your own body.

Thin, short, slender, and frail.

I looked up at my reflection in the glass.

The baby face that was often teased about has now become the face of a real child.

Does this mean that I've not only returned to Fuyuki, but my body has also reverted to the state of a 7-year-old?

how come……

Could it be that what I just experienced was actually a dream?

The girl named "Morgan" and the other world called "Britain"... neither exist?

Random speculation is meaningless.

During his long pilgrimage, Shirou learned a valuable lesson: only through practice can one draw conclusions.

Close your eyes, concentrate your mind, and feel the circuits buried within your body.

Shirou softly recited the incantation.

"------"

In an instant, the entire room was filled with a fluorescent green glow.

After the light faded, a golden short sword with a luxurious appearance appeared in Shirou's palm.

"...It's not a dream."

The boy stared blankly at the demonic sword Cruadin in his hand.

This is the sword of Grimm, one of his companions in the Fairy Kingdom.

The fact that the demonic sword could be successfully projected proves that the journey was real, not a dream or a figment of the imagination.

Thinking of this, Shirou's eyes welled up with tears.

"Speaking of which, the children's welfare home..."

Amamiya Shirou is an orphan.

He lost both his parents at a very young age and is now in an orphanage waiting to be adopted by a kind uncle.

Although he appears to be a 7-year-old boy, the soul living inside is actually very old.

"You're all old men, it would be too much of a shame for you to stay here and freeload... Goodbye."

With that thought in mind, Shirou sneaked out of the room.

It's no wonder it's a child's body; it's so light.

Although his strength and magic power were less than one-tenth of what they were at their peak, his dexterity was unchanged, and even slightly better.

"This level of protective measures is utterly insignificant compared to the 'court' I've stayed in before."

The red-haired boy slipped through the corridor unnoticed.

Just then, a caregiver appeared in front of them.

If it's discovered, I might have to be sent back to the ward... It's not a big problem.

Instead of hiding, Shirou quickly followed after him.

He followed closely behind the caregiver.

The distance between the two was no more than 10cm, and Shirou followed closely without hesitation.

There was a time when, in order to quell a war in a certain territory as quickly as possible, Shirou developed many technologies that terrified the enemy.

Mimicry, infiltration, lock picking, torture, ambush, assassination, sniping, poisoning, explosives...

Despite being a knight, he was utterly ruthless and lacked any dignity befitting a knight. He was despicably called the "Fairy Slayer" and became a red nightmare hanging over Britain.

"Um……?"

Although Shirou didn't make a sound, perhaps it was instinct, the caregiver suddenly turned around!

Of course, she saw nothing.

If it were the old Shirou, he would have skillfully dodged the attack with movements almost like a gymnast, and then triumphantly shouted, "Easy peasy!"

However, Shirou is only 7 years old now, and the two are so close that he is right in the other's blind spot.

"Is it an illusion..."

The caregiver, seeing nothing, muttered something and continued on his way.

Without much effort, Shirou easily escaped the children's welfare home.

"The blue sky..."

The boy tilted his head back blankly.

Having grown accustomed to the twilight skies of the Fairy Kingdom, it is only now that I realize I once lived under a blue sky.

This was the most surprising thing for Shirou Amamiya after his return.

Volume 1, Chapter 002: Not a Partner of Justice

He bowed deeply to the orphanage that, though it didn't feel real, had indeed raised him for several years, and then headed towards the streets of Fuyuki without hesitation.

On the clean streets, vehicles flowed endlessly, and pedestrians dressed in clean clothes walked briskly with indifferent expressions, as if there was an invisible thick barrier between them.

Looking at the scene before him, Shirou felt no emotion at returning to his hometown; instead, he was filled with a strong sense of alienation.
