It was as if a god had opened his eyes and looked down upon all living beings.
On the third floor of the building, the two assassins, still trapped there, were met with a fierce and relentless attack from the sniper operator Stormeye.
With silver hair and silver eyes, Stormeye effortlessly conjured two arrows, swung his arm to form them, drew his bow to its fullest extent, and the arrows flew away.
The two assassins, skilled in close combat, were pinned down by a hail of arrows and unable to move. Every time they tried to take a step, one or two arrows would suddenly burst forth with irresistible force, almost pinning them to the wall.
Even if the assassins don't know what pain is, they still can't survive with their heads shattered.
Stormeye calmly drew his bow and shot an arrow, just like his codename, Eye of the Storm.
The calmer the eye of the storm, the more turbulent the cloud walls become!
On the sixth floor of the building, Guardian Operator Sharp and Caster Operator Pith fight side by side.
Despite being outnumbered, the two elite operators showed no fear in the face of four assassins.
Sharp held a shield in his right hand and a Rhodes Island standard longsword in his left. Black goggles obscured his eyes, but could not conceal his sharpness.
Beside him stood Pith, a petite Liberian mage operator.
She carried a staff-shaped Originium Arts trigger device that was as tall as herself. She looked somewhat frail, but she spoke quite rudely.
"I'll take three, and you can have one?"
Pith's tone was completely flat, as if he were stating something extremely simple.
"……no."
Sharp, who is not good at expressing himself verbally, chooses to let his actions speak for themselves.
He launched his charge, and with a flick of his wrist, his 1.2-meter-long black steel blade flashed with a crimson arc.
Show your sword!
What suicide squads? I'm the kind of people who fight suicide squads!
Pith watched Sharp rush forward and take on three opponents single-handedly. She pouted and muttered, "Silent type."
The remaining assassin seized the opportunity to attack her. Even though his rationality had crumbled under the influence of the drugs, his martial spirit remained. His sensory abilities were amplified by the poison, and he could tell at a glance that she was a sorcerer!
As everyone knows, sorcerers are light and flexible and easy to push over.
Basically, once it comes to close combat, there's no chance to fight back; they're at the mercy of the enemy.
The assassin's speed was like that of a wild horse, covering a distance of 100 meters in just a few seconds, bypassing Sharp and attacking the seemingly harmless Pith.
Sharp didn't even glance at him.
He knew that this man's fate would be extremely tragic.
The next moment, a deep blue luster containing countless mysteries condensed out of thin air and directly hit the assassin, bursting into dazzling flames.
The assassin, who had been blasted ten meters away and rolled seven or eight times upon landing, stopped moving. After only three breaths, he convulsively stood up. The effects of the drug were far stronger than expected; even though his internal organs were almost shattered, he was still able to stand up fearlessly.
This poison is banned in Yan Kingdom precisely because those with malicious intentions can use it to commit all sorts of evil deeds.
"Armor with spell resistance... They must be rich."
Pith said casually, but she continued to cast the spell without taking it seriously.
The deep blue foxfire illuminated the surroundings, and the flames were stretched by an invisible hand, condensing into three intersecting rings of light spears.
"See what I see."
The spear of light continued to split, its rings overlapping and instantly filling a large area of space.
Pith stood with his staff upright, his dark robe, which covered his standard armor, fluttering in the wind, and his braids fell over his shoulders.
She glanced at Sharp, who was as fierce as a wild wolf, and then at the three crazed assassins he was facing. Sharp's surging attack seemed to be losing ground. Pith's thin lips, hidden beneath her mask, pressed tightly together, and she silently snorted.
"Do what I want!"
A rain of light fell, and a sky full of radiance descended upon the horde of assassins.
The dazzling light shattered all the windows on the sixth floor of the building, and the impact shook the entire building.
Sharp retreated helplessly. He had worked with Pith for more than a year or two, and he always had to put up with her bad temper. Even Ace was unwilling to act with her, not to mention Stormeye. As a sniper operator, he could be accidentally shot by Pith even if he stood in the back.
This is probably the downside of having a group of mages; spells don't discriminate, they explode wherever they land.
Not to mention, Pith's spell was comparable to light pollution; the bursting flames triggered a secondary reaction, contracting and coalescing before exploding again, shaking the entire building. Beams of light erupted, but fortunately, Lin, observing from afar with his spiritual domain, saw everything as numerical data; otherwise, he would have been blinded.
This is why Sharp wears a pair of black protective glasses indoors during the day.
Dozens of seconds later, the dazzling light dissipated, and half of the sixth floor collapsed, leaving dense cracks everywhere.
"Zizzizi..."
It was like water being poured into a boiling oil pan, with thick black smoke billowing out.
The assassins had large swaths of flesh and blood worn away, with half their skeletons exposed, yet they still let out mournful roars.
This goes far beyond the effects of poison; it involves being forced to ingest large quantities of Western Region Gu worms during the inhumane training of these assassins, drastically shortening their lifespans. These assassins, destined to be expendable resources, have their lives used as disposable fuel, squandered to their fullest extent.
Sharp leaped into the air, his longsword flashing red, and with a turn and a powerful swing, slashed heavily at the assassin's temple. Blade flashed and, amidst a chilling sound of bones grinding together, half of the assassin's head flew into the air, revealing his still-beating brain, half of which had been severed.
Yes, it's still pulsating.
Black insects surged from the severed brain; the assassin was not stiff after death, and could even move!
The next moment, the assassin's claws struck Sharp's chest.
"don't want!!"
Pith involuntarily cried out; she had just cast a finishing spell and was in a state where the old power hadn't dissipated and the new power hadn't been generated. But she stubbornly raised her staff, enduring the headache, and cast the spell again. Spheres of light, barely condensing, were swiftly projected out, repelling the attacking assassins and giving Sharp a chance to retreat.
Unexpectedly, Sharp did not retreat. Instead, he stood still and advanced, his longsword, glowing red, piercing the assassin's chest. He then slashed upwards, leaving a deep gash. The assassin's remaining half-head was split in two. Sharp charged forward with his shield raised, slamming the assassin's body back to the ground and cleaving him in two at the waist.
When we meet on a narrow road, the brave one wins!
"Were you in a hurry just now?"
Sharp, clutching his torn three-layered protective suit, managed to barely withstand the attack using the standard protective gear of an elite operator.
He looked down at Pith, who was only about waist-high to him, paused briefly, gathered his thoughts, analyzed the situation calmly, and pondered intensely.
Sharp, suddenly enlightened, said earnestly, "What you're doing isn't good. Using magic in a moment of panic will not only damage your brain but also leave hidden dangers that will affect you in the future. The magic you cast will also be weak, doing more harm than good. You can't do that again."
"I……"
Pith clenched his small fist and slammed his staff into the ground, causing it to glow with dazzling arcane light.
"I'm not a child anymore!!"
With the girl's stern shout, a blinding light surged from the sixth floor of the building once more. The cracked floorboards could not withstand the magic's power and collapsed completely.
Stormeye, the sniper operator on the third floor of the building, couldn't help but admire the Doctor's planning upon hearing the series of loud explosions coming from above. The Doctor had not only considered the enemy's combat strength and the advantages and disadvantages of different professions, but also the impact of damage inflicted by friendly personnel, in order to avoid unnecessary casualties.
No wonder he has a doctorate.
They easily accomplished what we couldn't.
Chapter 251 Like an Apocalypse
Outer ring road of Longmen, Rhode Island Pharmaceuticals Building.
The leader of the assassins and a veteran assassin who had survived three missions without fail finally arrived at the laboratory on the ninth floor.
A brown-haired man wearing Rhodes Island standard armor stood in front of them, smiling at them.
"Sorry, this road is blocked. You still have a chance to leave."
ACE raised the heavy hammer in his hand and gently tapped the tower shield on his left hand, producing a muffled sound that sent chills down one's spine.
Just by standing there, he exudes an aura of pressure, like a mountain blocking one's way.
Isn't Rhode Island a pharmaceutical company?
How could such a master be here?!
The leader of the assassins cursed inwardly, but before he could utter a sound, the old assassin next to him excitedly raised his head, and red light appeared in the empty eye sockets of his mask.
The old assassin raised his hand and pointed directly at ACE, saying excitedly, "You! Although it's faint, you—you have that child's scent on you."
"Nonsense! I, A, have never engaged in pedophilia! Where did this childishness come from!"
ACE's lips twitched slightly, a hint of impatience creeping in.
What is this? Opening with slander, trying to cause social death?
"Hehe, hehehe..."
The old assassin's cheeks twitched so hard they almost flew to the sky, and his mask flew off as he convulsed.
"I'm talking about that child! The remnant of Yan and Victoria, the little girl who should have died, must be a beautiful young woman now, right? Was it lucky or unlucky for her not to die that night? I really want to see!"
The old assassin's reason had long been eroded, but the memories etched deep in his mind made him involuntarily sigh.
"...I take back what I said before."
ACE twisted his neck, making a loud cracking sound.
Behind the goggles, his eyes were cold and sharp. ACE's expression was solemn as he raised the shield in his left hand and charged forward.
"You have no chance to leave."

Rhode Island Pharmaceuticals Building Office.
Medic Touch was ready to support the elite operators at any time, but as time passed, she still didn't get a chance to appear.
She went from being nervous at first to idly finding a chair to sit obediently and waiting, almost falling asleep while trying to close her eyes to rest. Until she was startled by a loud bang and sat up straight, a series of earthquakes shaking the building, Touch clutching her staff and looking around nervously.
She only breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Dr. Kal'tsit calmly organizing paper documents not far away.
Dr. Kal'tsit is the pillar of strength for all medical operators on Rhodes Island, and her prestige even surpasses that of the Doctor and Amiya.
Basically, every medical operator is Dr. Kal'tsit's student. She guides them through their weekly training sessions, and they all feel a sense of dependence and reverence towards her, much like they would towards a teacher. Seeing Dr. Kal'tsit's unwavering composure even in the face of a collapsing mountain, Touch suddenly felt much more at ease, relaxing her tense body. After repeatedly confirming that the Doctor hadn't given any orders, she comfortably rested her head on her staff and closed her eyes again.
It's so much fun to slack off!
If every task were like this, that would be great.
The big shots charge into battle, and I'm cheering them on from behind—that's my apocalypse.
God said, "Touch it."
Touch felt increasingly pleasurable, and he was practically drooling.
"boom!!"
The next moment, another tremor shook the entire building, and Touch was so frightened that he almost fell off his chair.
Seriously? Pith's angry again?
Touch blinked, then suddenly frowned.
No, the tremor came from very close by; it didn't feel like it was coming from the sixth floor, but more like it was coming from right under our feet!
Touch closed his eyes, his mental energy spreading out, quickly sensing the impending intense impact.
She instinctively called out, "Dr. Kal'tsit!"
The dark green Mon3tr appeared out of thin air, its strong arms pulling her into its embrace, and she floated in the air.
Touch had clearly seen Mon3tr before; she showed no panic, instead turning her gaze toward Kal'tsit.
Cracks appeared in the floor, and the fissures spread rapidly, causing the entire building to tremble and groan. Accompanied by a series of chilling sounds, a pillar of fire shot into the sky, breaching the building's foundation and engulfing half of the office almost instantly.
Kal'tsit stood at the edge of the collapsed area, the heat wave blowing against the hem of her clothes and causing her white coat to billow backward.
With a calm expression, she threw the thick stack of documents in her hand into the pillar of fire, where they turned to ashes and scattered in the wind.
"So handsome!"
Touch couldn't help but exclaim in amazement.
Mon3tr let out a muffled groan, deeply agreeing.
As the flames subsided, a pungent stench filled the air, and blackened stains covered the entire office ceiling. Ironically, the Rhode Island Pharmaceuticals Building's fire safety system hadn't responded at all; it had been nothing more than decoration from the start.
This is the courtesy and attitude of Longmen.
Touch looked down and could vaguely see ACE, who was simultaneously fighting against the leader of the Death Squad and the Old Death Squad, at the bottom of the large hole that was five meters long and wide.
