What a twist! The loser heroine!

Recalling what happened two weeks ago when Ayano came to the Literature Club to borrow books, he even brought Asahi and Yashio along to the club office. Komari looked a little surprised, but didn't say anything more.
Tsukino-senpai later directly referred to Ayano as the "harem protagonist," although she kept staring at Nukumizu and President Tamaki while saying this, leaving them both somewhat confused.
Someone who behaves like this even in the arts club probably doesn't realize the feelings of the girls around them at other times...
Kazuhiko Wenshui sighed, reached out, and patted Mitsuki Ayano on the shoulder.
"My mission is complete. You'd better remember to avoid Asahi-kun."
"Make your choice carefully, lucky guy."
After finishing his sentence, Kazuhiko Wenshui left, leaving Mitsuki Ayano alone in the lamplight, lost in thought.
“Lemon—” he murmured to himself.
Ayano took the movie ticket out of her pocket and carefully examined the words "roasted salt lemon" written on the back of the ticket.
However, the two boys, each harboring their own thoughts because of a movie ticket, never realized it.
During the conversation just now, in a dark corner of the street where no one was watching, a petite girl was nervously covering the earphone in her right ear.
"Sizzle... Salt-baked classmate... sizzle... Here you go..."
"Buzz... Saturday...buzz...slow down..."
"Sizzle... Avoid... Sizzle... Chaoyun..."
"Sizzle...seriously...sizzle...choosing..."
The signal was interrupted.
The girl sighed softly, and the moonlight reflected on her forehead seemed to dim slightly.
"We need to hurry."
~Twenty-seventh defeat~ Preparation plan
Wednesday, light rain.
After a day of classes, Vice President Tsukinoki sent a request for a meeting in the LINE group, as if it were something important. Even President Tamaki responded with a "coming right away" emoji.
However, since Onami was assigned to do cleaning duties with Himegami today, he couldn't be there immediately. After explaining the situation to Himegami in the group chat, he began cleaning the classroom.
After finally cleaning the windows, Wen Shui took the washed rag and walked back to the classroom. Most of the other students on duty had already left.
"We've finished all the work, let's go to the club office together." In the classroom where there were only two people, Himegami slung her schoolbag over her shoulder.
Wen Shui put the rag into the storage box and nodded.
It had been some time since school ended, and there were few students in the large school building.
Through the tightly closed window, Wen Shui could only hear the faint sound of rain, and couldn't help but recall some of the things that had happened that day.
[The movie tickets from yesterday have already been delivered to Ayano-san. I told Yashio-san the news today, and she seemed very happy. But for some reason, I had a feeling of being watched.]
After some time, Himegami has successfully integrated into the class. Recently, she's been getting very close to Hanami, and the two seem like best friends. The 12K combination is truly amazing.
[I ran into Shikiya-senpai during lunch break; she seemed to be sunbathing in the courtyard. Is maintaining body temperature one of her habits...? Anyway, I'll record it in my observation notes for now.]
"Warm Water, what are you thinking about?" Himegami Karen turned to the side and asked softly.
"Thinking about some things that happened today."
"That's it."
Himegami nodded and continued, "However, it feels quite strange that Tsukinoki-senpai suddenly asked us to gather here, especially in a club like the Literature Club."
"It's probably about what the student council president mentioned, saying they wanted to make something of it at the book signing event. Maybe the president just went to the literature club." Wen Shui pondered for a moment: "Although I can vaguely guess what the student council wants to do, I'm not sure yet."
Himegami sighed, "It's a pity I was on duty today and arrived a little late. The president should have finished talking with the two club presidents by now."
"I'll just ask at the community office later."
Wen Shui looked at Ji Gong: "However, I didn't expect Ji Gong to care so much about Xiao Ju's matter."
"Xiao Ju is my friend, of course I have to care about her."
She took out her phone, typed a few things on the screen, and then showed the screen to Wen Shui.
"Look, I even tipped Xiao Ju's author account."
[It's the number one on the list...who's that rich woman?!]
While the two were chatting, they arrived at the entrance of the student union office in the west campus.
Pushing open the door of the literary society, Wen Shui saw the two presidents sitting in front of their computers.
Xiao Ju on the sofa seemed to be contacting someone on her phone, but she looked a little tired, her head nodding like a little animal about to fall asleep.
"Oh, good afternoon, Wenshui and Himegami." President Tamaki placed a piece of paper on the table after hearing the noise.
"Huh? Does President Tamaki know me?" Karen Himegami asked, somewhat surprised.
She remembered that in the few days since she joined the club, President Tamaki had been busy studying and hadn't come to the club office.
"Although we've never met, Tsukinoki mentioned you to me." President Tamaki glanced at Himegami Karen and then said with a smile, "Just as she said, Himegami-san is indeed outstanding."
Meanwhile, Tsukinoki Koto patted Tamaki's shoulder and said, "Watch your eyes, the warm water is still here."
"received."
Why are you suddenly bringing me into this?
Wen Shui was a little confused, but her attention was quickly drawn to the paper that the president had placed on the table earlier.
He put his schoolbag on the sofa, then walked to the table and picked up the piece of paper. The words "Weekend Group Activity Volunteer Registration Form" were prominently displayed at the top of the form.
"This is……"
"Ah, the student council president just came by and talked to us about the autograph session," President Tamaki explained. "This is the brochure that's expected to be posted on the bulletin board tomorrow. He said that after discussions with the city council, Ishibuki High School decided to have the students prepare for this autograph session—"
"How is that possible?" Wen Shui immediately questioned, "Students alone couldn't possibly organize such a large-scale exhibition. What is the student council thinking?"
Senior Yuezhi shook her head and added, "I'm only in charge of Xiaoju's booth, and the organizers will provide the basic items such as tables and chairs."
"Students only need to use their imagination and initiative to decorate the booth, and then spend the morning working as staff at the autograph session."
Wen Shui frowned and quickly glanced at the application form. Meanwhile, Ji Gong noticed that Xiao Ju on the sofa was a little drowsy. She gave the two club presidents a wink, then quietly walked over to the sofa and sat down next to Xiao Ju.
"Simply put, before the weekend, students from Shilu voluntarily signed up to participate, forming teams of about 20 first and second-year students to organize and decorate Xiaoju's autograph booth—"
"Uh, why does everyone have to wear school uniforms..." Wen Shui twitched the corner of her mouth: "It feels almost like a school festival, doesn't it?"
“Wen Shui, it’s not wrong for you to think that way. After all, it’s an event with a promotional purpose, and we need to highlight the unique features of Shilu.”
"If it weren't for the student council's efforts, it might have been completely taken over by Ishizuki's school committee," President Tamaki sighed. "It's just a pity that Komari's first autograph session turned out like this—"
"I-I'm fine." Xiao Ju, who hadn't spoken until now, suddenly said, "I-I don't care how it turns out, as long as it can be held smoothly."
She yawned slightly, then rubbed her eyes. Several days of intense revisions had left her feeling tired.
However, having learned from the experience of the last Ishibu Festival, and with the reminder from editor Kihara, Komari won't overexert herself. Now, the manuscript for volume three has been sent to the publisher for review, and she can finally rest these next few days, looking forward to the book signing on Sunday morning.
Thinking this, she slowly closed her eyes, her body unconsciously leaning towards Himegami Karen beside her. It seemed that ever since that trip to Nagoya, she had grown accustomed to this girl with whom she should have only interacted after the class reshuffle in the second year.
"Since Xiao Ju has said so, I won't say anything more."
President Tamaki glanced at Komari, who was already sleeping soundly in Himegami's arms, and then said, "By the way, although this is a voluntary participation, the president specifically requested that all members of the Literature Club participate in the event."
"Gu Du and I are both third-year students, so please make arrangements for the weekend."
Upon hearing this, Wen Shui immediately nodded.
I'm probably the person here who has the least to worry about scheduling.
Himegami smiled and gave the two company presidents a thumbs-up, indicating that she was free on the weekend.
"If possible, you could also promote it within the class," Yuezhimu said with a smile. "I'm afraid not many people would be willing to participate in an activity that offers no reward and requires giving up the weekend."
"I see."
"Okay, let's leave the details of the autograph session for now." Senior Yuezhi stretched her stiff shoulders. "Xiaoju's third volume is finished, so I can finally relax for a while."
Upon hearing this, President Tamaki immediately put on a thoughtful expression: "Is that so? I happen to have some free time here, how about we rewrite the club magazine?"
"Please spare me, Shintaro. I've been Komari's assistant for too long now. What if I accidentally write Dazai Osamu as Sayaka?"
The vice president of Tsukinoki slumped over the table and waved his hand weakly.
"Let's talk about the magazine after the book signing..."
Upon hearing this, President Tamaki could only manage a wry smile.
"There's really nothing I can do about you."
What the author wants to say
1. Just wondering, do you guys prefer this kind of light-hearted Japanese dialogue style where you guess the characters' thoughts? The original work is in the first person, but I've changed it to the third person for a better reading experience. Here, I've only used brackets to express some of Wen Shui's thoughts, but I'm sure there's still some disconnect.
Or, like in other works, I could directly describe Wen Shui and the other characters' psychology through more text, so that I can improve my writing skills (by increasing the word count).
2. Regarding the situation in the first chapter, some people will definitely think: "Oh dear, is this idiot author going to write a scene where he gives away girls?" I can only say that there might be a little bit of stomach upset, but there definitely won't be any scene where he gives away girls. It's just that Hakamada will have to suffer a bit.
3. Speaking of which, the number of clicks is so low. I'm thinking of changing the title to "Twist It Up! The Loser Heroine!" to attract more readers (I'm even thinking of opening treasure chests to earn more money, you know).
4. Regarding the book's release, it will likely be available around 15 words, featuring a minor but significant plot point.
5. Should we create a book club group? It seems like not many people read it (I'm having doubts).
~Twenty-eighth defeat~ Komari Chika wants to stay with him
Thursday, May 8th, moderate rain.
Because of the rain, Wen Shui did not leave the classroom and ate the bread she had just bought right at her seat.
Some people say that white noise with the sound of rain in the background is easy to relax, but how can you relax when there are two of the most dazzling girls in the class talking behind you?
Karen Himemiya and Anina Hachimi, a group of 12 girls, seem to have grown closer after Anina took the initiative to get closer to Karen. Whether it's during breaks or in class, they're practically inseparable, always together.
This situation left Kazuhiko Wenshui somewhat bewildered.
Girls' minds are so strange. Just last Saturday, they were suspecting Himeko of cheating, and now it's gotten to this point—
【But why do we have to chat here? Can we go to Hana-chan's place instead?】
Wenshui glanced at the seat where Banami should have been sitting. In front of the empty seat, Hakamada Sosuke was looking at his phone listlessly, his back looking somewhat lonely.
Well, even though we've become friends, I'm still a little worried.
Wen Shui shook her head and put the bread in her mouth.
Today, Karen Himegami didn't prepare her own lunchbox, perhaps because she thought everyone would be in the classroom on a rainy day and she was worried that having the same lunchbox would cause misunderstandings.
Her thoughtful preparations relieved Wen Shui, but also made her feel a strange sense of unease about the changes.
Why do I have this thought?
The boy looked at the bread in his hand and paused for a moment, but the discussion behind him quickly drew his attention.
Banami popped a throat lozenge into her mouth and then said, "Hime-miya-san, did you see the application form posted on the bulletin board?"
"I've already seen it," Himegami said with a smile. "In fact, I'd say I've already participated."
"Oh! Really?!"
"Well, the student council requires first- and second-year members of the literature club to participate, so there's nothing I can do about it."
"Hime is a member of the Literature Club? I've never heard you mention that before." Hanami said in surprise, "I didn't expect you to join such a quiet club."
Himegami Karen glanced at the back of a certain boy who had clearly sat up straight, then nodded: "For some personal reasons, I prefer reading. Maybe it's a bit of a contrast to you, Hanami-kun? Hehe."
"But why did you suddenly ask that, Hanami-kun? Do you want to go this weekend too?"
"I wasn't really keen on going at first, since I was planning to have a get-together with my middle school classmates over the weekend." Yaiji smoothed her hair. "But now that Himegami-san has joined, I'm getting a little more interested."
"Really? I was worried we wouldn't have enough people. Let's go to the student council to register during lunch break!" Himegami said, taking Banami's hand.
"Hey! Don't run so fast in the hallway!"
The 12K group left amidst laughter and cheers, and the students' attention gradually faded. Wen Shui breathed a sigh of relief and finished the last bit of bread in her hand.
It seems that Hanami will also be at the autograph session on Sunday.
