Fairy Tail: I'm invincible when I receive anime characters!

The two followed the members of the Ancient Knights inside.

Soon we met the person who commissioned this mission.

"Hello, I am the mayor of this city and the person who commissioned this mission, Kos. Let's get straight to the point."

Koss placed a letter on the coffee table as he spoke.

Qi Yan picked it up and glanced at it. The envelope simply had the following words written on it:

"Your life will be taken in three days! —The Phantom Thieves!"

"A threatening letter?"

Koss nodded and said, "Yes! During this time, the Phantom Thieves have been committing evil deeds in this city. Many wealthy businessmen have been murdered, and the whole city is in a state of panic. Many citizens are worried about their lives and have chosen to leave."

Elfman's eyes widened as he asked, "What about the Ancient Knights? Didn't they capture them?"

Koss shook his head with a worried look: "No, they came and went without a trace, and moved very quickly. By the time the Ancient Knights arrived, they had already left."

"This letter was delivered here three days ago, so I issued a request to the Mage Guild."

Qi Yan frowned and said, "There are so many members of the Ancient Knights outside, they shouldn't be stupid enough to come to us."

Koss sighed, "Sigh! I would have thought the same way before, but after learning about their leader's identity recently, I don't think that way anymore."

"The commander's identity? What identity?"

Elfman was somewhat curious.

"Space Mage, King of Assassins, Camille."

"what?!"

Elfman was taken aback.

Qi Yan had never heard of this name before, but the title sounded intimidating.

"Camille, the King of Assassins, is a notorious space mage and the ace of the Assassination Guild God of Assassination. He is known as the King of Assassins because his magic is elusive and he never misses a kill. Later, the Magic Council sent a large army to destroy the Assassination Guild God of Assassination, and the guild disappeared without a trace. Unexpectedly, he became the leader of the Phantom Thieves!"

Elfman said with a serious expression, "Camille is a long-established and renowned mage, and he is extremely dangerous."

"This guy is too dangerous; he's definitely not a 70 J mission."

"70 J?! Oh! That was a previous request! I've upgraded it to S-rank now, and the reward is 700 million J!"

"S-level?!"

"700 million J?!"

Elfman was shocked that this was an S-class mission, while Qi Yan heard about the 700 million J.

Qi Yan began to calculate rapidly in his mind.

100 million J is equivalent to 5 RMB, so 700 million J is equivalent to 35 RMB!

Qi Yan's eyes were already gleaming with greed.

"I'm sorry about this task..."

Elfman wanted to refuse on the spot. S-class missions were too dangerous and only S-class mages could take them on. He had lost his sister forever in an S-class mission, and that was a pain that would never go away in his heart.

"We took it!"

Before Elfman could finish speaking, Qi Yan interrupted.

“Eh——?!”

Elfman was so frightened his eyes almost popped out.

Chapter 6 Magic Enhancement

"Wait! Qi Yan, you're a newbie. You have no idea what an S-rank mission is! You also don't know how dangerous an S-rank mission is. Besides, we're not S-rank mages, so we're not qualified to take on this mission! It should be an S-rank mage who takes on this mission."

Elfman quickly pulled Qi Yan aside and spoke in a voice only the two of them could hear to stop him. He didn't want to lose his comrades again because of an S-class mission.

"But we've already accepted the mission, and today is the third day. Are we just going to watch our client get killed?"

He couldn't say that in front of the client, but as Qi Yan said, S-rank missions are inherently very dangerous. A single misjudgment could be fatal, and even S-rank mages wouldn't easily accept S-rank mission requests.

Moreover, there is simply not enough time. Even if an S-class mage were to accept the mission now and arrive here, it might be too late.

Qi Yan continued to manipulate Elfman: "Elfman, this is an S-rank mission. Don't you want to take on the challenge and give it a try?"

Elfman was somewhat tempted. Indeed, if he were to wait until he could do S-rank missions, it might be several years later, and before that, he would have to pass the S-rank mage assessment.

"This is a rare opportunity. If we miss it, who knows when the next one will come?"

"Don't you want to see the view from the second floor? If we complete this task, the guild leader will recognize our strength, and we might be able to go to the second floor ahead of time."

"Besides, aren't you a man, Elfman? Are you just going to watch your client get killed by bad guys?"

Elfman, swayed by Qi Yan's words, blushed and shouted, "A real man!!"

When Qi Yan heard Elfman shout "Men!", he knew the matter was settled.

"Mr. Mayor, we accept this task."

"Thank you! Thank you very much!"

The mayor was also somewhat agitated. Ever since receiving the threatening letter, he had been living in fear every day. Even with the protection of the Ancient Knights of the Magic Council, he still felt unsafe, which is why he reissued the commission to the Mage Guild.

Unfortunately, it wasn't an S-class mage who came.

Qi Yan looked at the mayor and said, "Mr. Mayor, since the other party intends to attack, we don't need to actively search for them. We can just wait here and wait for them to come to us."

Elfman asked doubtfully, "But will they really come?"

The area is surrounded by members of the Ancient Knights, heavily guarded and riddled with traps. Surely the enemy wouldn't be foolish enough to walk right into our trap.

"Probably! After all, they've already made their statement. If they don't come, they'll be ridiculed for the rest of their lives. The fact that they dared to threaten us beforehand instead of taking action shows that they have plenty of confidence in their own strength."

“Mr. Mayor, you cannot leave our sight during this time. If you do, I cannot guarantee your safety. I do not want to eliminate all the enemies and then have no one to pay you.”

Qi Yan's tone was calm, but it was incredibly authoritative, putting a lot of pressure on the mayor, who had entrusted him with the task.

"Good... good!"

“Very good! Elfman, you will be the mayor’s personal bodyguard.”

"Qi Yan, what about you?"

"Me? Of course, I'm responsible for taking out all the invading enemies."

Qi Yan smiled and said.

"Wait! Qi Yan, the opponent is the infamous King of Assassins!"

Elfman was incredulous that Qi Yan actually wanted to deal with the infamous King of Assassins.

"so what."

Qi Yan's four words left Elfman speechless.

"Mr. Mayor, please prepare some food. After all, there may be a big battle coming up. If we don't eat our fill, we won't have the strength to fight when it's crucial."

"Good good!"

Seeing Qi Yan's composure, the mayor gained considerable confidence in him and immediately arranged for the kitchen to prepare food.

Soon, the fragrant food was served, and Qi Yan ate it with gusto, while Elfman had little appetite.

"Huh? Elfman, how come someone as big as you eats so little?"

"Qi Yan, that's an S-rank..."

Qi Yan laughed and said, "I know, that's what makes it even more exciting, isn't it?"

This time he saw it clearly: although Qi Yan looked no different from an ordinary person, he was a complete madman at heart.

After Qi Yan finished eating and drinking, he sat on the sofa and looked at the panel in front of him.

[S-Rank Mission: Eliminate the Phantom Thieves; Mission Reward: One 10-pull.]

The system panel has been updated with the task, which is the main reason why Qi Yan wants to do this task.

Qi Yan tapped his finger, selecting everyone except Ulquiorra, and then chose to recycle.

Are you sure you want to reclaim all selected characters?

[Ding! Recycling successful! Host's magic power increased by ☆!]

This is a built-in function of the system. Excess characters can be recycled, and the recycling reward is magic power. In other words, some of the junk characters you draw can be converted into magic power to strengthen yourself.

"Half a star? System, you're being too stingy! I still have a blue elite character here. It was the first character I ever drew, and it's very memorable."

[Everything is based on calculations. If the host wants to increase magic power further, higher-quality characters can be recycled.]

"Oh well, what can I do? I'm just that magnanimous."

Recycle characters of higher quality? Are you kidding me? I only have one Little U. If I recycle it, who will I use?

You need to do 100 pulls to guarantee one gold character.

To put it simply, completing an S-rank mission rewards you with 10 free draws. 100 draws, or 10 S-rank missions, are needed to guarantee at least one gold item.

This shows just how precious the gold-tier characters are.

Of course, such a golden character truly deserves its rarity.

[Host: Qi Yan]

[Age: 18 years old]

[Race: Human]

[Magic Power: ★☆]

[Magic: Receive magic.]

[Character Card: Ulquiorra Cifer]

"With one and a half stars of magic power, it should be able to unleash one-tenth of Little Wu's strength within three minutes."

I'm in a bit of a rush for Chapter 7.

Time passed slowly, and as night approached, the atmosphere grew increasingly tense. The Ancient Knights increased their patrols, ensuring that no movement would escape their notice.

At this moment, on a building in the distance, thirteen figures stood, none other than the Thirteen Great Thieves of the Phantom Thieves Gang.

"Wow! So many people! Commander! Why don't we just take action directly? Why send out notices?"

One of the members with an afro placed his palm in front of his eyes, gazing at the heavily guarded mayor's residence in the distance.

"Idiot! This is the captain's plan! Right, captain?"

Another blond-haired boy looked at the man in the middle with admiration. The man was tall and slender, wearing a black cloak and a silver mask. This man was none other than Camille, the leader of the Phantom Thieves, known as the 'King of Assassination'.

"This world needs a wave of terror to announce our return, and this mayor is the perfect candidate. I want everyone to understand that anyone targeted by our Phantom Thieves will be protected, even by the Magic Council!!"

"Anyone who dares to provoke us, once given a death ultimatum, will only face death!!!"

"Go! Tonight, the name of our Phantom Thieves will resound throughout the world! We will become the nightmare of this world!!!"

“OO ...

boom----! !

An explosion rang out in the courtyard.

"Enemy attack—!!"

The members of the Ancient Knights shouted, and everyone quickly sprang into action.

The mayor was immediately startled.

Elfman tensed up: "They're here?!"

Qi Yan nodded: "It seems so."

The mayor panicked slightly: "Mr. Qi Yan, what should I do?"

"You don't need to do anything, just don't cause any trouble. The ancient knights have already set up a magical barrier here. As long as you don't foolishly run out on your own, you'll be fine for a while."

Qi Yan looked out the window and saw the Ancient Knights of the Magic Council fighting against their opponents.
