Fairy Tail: I'm invincible when I receive anime characters!

"drink--!!"

The man's body was slammed to the ground, shattering the floorboards. He didn't even have time to scream before his eyes rolled back and he passed out.

"Huh?!?!"

Everyone was stunned by what they saw.

"Hey! Who's that woman?!"

"That man was actually killed!"

"How is that possible! He's a six-star swordsman!"...

At this moment, a voice rang out, saying, "Alright! Behave yourselves! This competition is hosted by His Majesty the King, and it is open to both men and women. If you are not convinced, then let's settle this on the field."

Everyone looked in the direction from which the sound came.

I saw a blond man in his thirties sitting not far away.

"It's the Nine-Star Swordsman Arthur!!"

Upon seeing this man, everyone gasped in surprise.

Qi Yan also looked at the other party. A nine-star swordsman. According to the guild leader, a nine-star swordsman in this country is equivalent to an S-rank mage in the guild.

"Arthur, I didn't expect you to be here too."

Soon another young man walked over.

"It's the Nine-Star Swordsman, Clay!"

The crowd gasped again.

Arthur glanced at the other person: "Clay, aren't you here too?"

"Of course, this is a competition hosted by His Majesty the King. The prize money is secondary. To become the strongest swordsman in Ishgar is the greatest honor for us."

At that moment, the stadium manager walked over.

"The battle of Group A will begin immediately. Please bring out the contestants from Group A."

Clay stood up and said, "It's my turn, Arthur. I hope to see you in the final match."

Arthur scoffed, "Hmph! That'll only work if you make it to the finals."

Qi Yan glanced at his number plate, which had a 'D' written on it, meaning he was in Group D.

Then Qi Yan glanced at Erza's again. Erza had 'B' on her name, which meant she was in Group B.

I don't know what format this competition will take.

Soon, a procedure screen appeared in the players' lounge.

The screen was projecting the situation on the field.

"Next up is the match in Area A!"

The rules for this competition are very simple.

Over 100 contestants are engaged in a survival competition where only the fittest survive!

Only the last survivor will advance to the next round!

"what?!"

"Does that mean only four people can advance to the next round?"

"This is too cruel!"...

Many people in the lounge had a change of expression. They had planned to show off their skills in front of the audience, hoping to gain many fans even if they didn't win the championship. Unexpectedly, only four people could stay.

"Round 1, Group A matches, begin—!!!"

Clang!

With the sound of a gong, everyone on the field began to fight.

The weakest of those who can participate in the competition are five-star swordsmen. These five-star swordsmen are usually high and mighty, but here they are just at the bottom.

One by one, the five-star swordsmen were defeated like cannon fodder.

In the blink of an eye, most of the battlefield was cleared, and those remaining were at least seven-star or eight-star swordsmen.

At this moment, Nine-Star Swordsman Clay said, "Hmph! Boring! All of you, get out of here!"

As he spoke, he quickly made his move, his entire body crackling with lightning, and in the blink of an eye, he knocked down the nearest eight-star swordsman.

"It's the Nine-Star Swordsman, Clay!!"

The audience members in the stands became excited when they saw the other side make a move.

Qi Yan was also surprised. The opponent should be a lightning attribute mage who could use lightning magic to greatly enhance his strength and speed. Combined with the opponent's superb swordsmanship, such strength was extremely powerful. In terms of strength, he was definitely S-rank, and even ordinary S-rank mages would not be his match, after all, the opponent's speed was too fast.

This world is indeed much bigger than what I saw in my anime.

Erza's expression turned serious when she saw Clay. She did have armor that could counter lightning-attribute mages, but this was a swordsmanship contest. Even if she won by using the armor, it would be an unfair victory.

In no time, everyone on the field collapsed to the ground, except for the nine-star swordsman, Clay, who was still standing.

"Whoa! The battle is over!!"

"The winner of Group A is the pride of our Kingdom of Sobea! The Nine-Star Swordsman 'Thunder Sword' Clay!!!"

"Awesome! Absolutely ridiculously strong!!"

"Clay! Clay! Clay!"...

The audience was chanting Clay's name, and Clay waved back, which made many of the girls in the audience shout even louder.

Soon, all the injured people on the field were carried off for treatment, and the field was cleared again.

Next up is Group B! Contestants, please enter!

Erza stood up and walked towards the entrance.

"Is Erza about to make her appearance?"

Chapter 22 Nine-Star Swordsman

Qi Yan looked at the big screen with some anticipation. Erza was a genius, especially in swordsmanship. In Fairy Tail, Erza was able to learn swordsmanship on her own without a teacher and had reached an extremely high level.

Soon, all the Group B contestants took the stage. With Group A's demonstration, the Group B contestants were already familiar with the competition rules. They all spread out, looking around warily, while also searching for their targets.

As a female swordswoman, Erza naturally attracted the attention of many people.

"Who do you think is good?"

"Of course it's Kaiman! He's an eight-star swordsman, very close to nine-star. Sword master Rosa said that Kaiman only needs three more years to become a nine-star swordsman."

"I have a better chance with Barto. He is a veteran eight-star swordsman and can even fight against a nine-star swordsman."

The audience was excitedly discussing who would win this match. Since no nine-star swordsmen were participating, everyone guessed that the winner would be one of the eight-star swordsmen.

At the same time, many people also noticed Erza. Erza's long, blood-red hair, beautiful face, and the fact that she was one of the very few female contestants naturally attracted attention.

"Round 1, Group B matches, begin!!"

Clang!

As the opening gong sounded, the second battle immediately began.

"Hey girl! You should just get out of here!!"

Those who had their eyes on Erza immediately rushed towards her.

Pfft—!

With a flash of sword light, several people who attacked Erza were immediately knocked down. Then Erza began to attack the people around her, and few of them were a match for her.

"That red-haired girl is amazing!!"

Soon, many swordsmen present were eliminated, leaving only three eight-star swordsmen and Erza, the four of them engaging in a melee on the field.

The battle was quite intense, with each fighter a master swordsman, showcasing their powerful and superb sword skills.

Erza was extremely excited. It was definitely the right decision to participate in the competition. Being able to spar with so many sword masters would greatly improve her sword skills.

The other three also noticed this situation and abandoned their opponent, joining forces to attack Erza. Erza remained calm and steady, searching for her opponent's weaknesses.

Three people ganging up on one person, a girl, couldn't break through her defenses for a long time, which made all three of them a little anxious. And impatience can create openings.

Erza seized an opportunity, cutting one person down with a single sword strike, and then steadily dealt with the other two.

Gradually, Erza became familiar with the two men's swordsmanship.

Another person has been defeated by Erza.

With only one person left, Erza spent some time defeating him.

"The battle is over!! The winner is Erza Scarlett!!"

"That's amazing! It's unbelievable that such a beautiful woman possesses such powerful swordsmanship!"

"Faced with an attack from three eight-star swordsmen, she actually defeated them all with steady and methodical fighting! That's amazing! Could a female nine-star swordsman be about to be born?! Let's cheer for Erza!"

"Erza! Erza! Erza!"

"Miss Erza! She's so cool!"...

Many girls in the audience were captivated by Erza's coolness.

Everyone present possessed considerable swordsmanship skills. Although Erza did not display any flashy moves, it is precisely the most basic techniques that reveal a person's true level of swordsmanship.

Sitting in the spectator stands, Klay watched Erza's performance and couldn't help but stroke his chin, looking at Erza's beautiful face magnified on the spell screen: "What a lovely woman!"

Many people in the lounge felt sorry for the guy who had dared to mess with Erza, seeing her strength. He was lucky to be in the lounge; if it were outside, he wouldn't even know how he died.

Nine-Star Swordsman Arthur frowned: "Erza... could it be that Erza?"

A huge screen displaying the incantation was presented to the king.

"As expected! A sword technique that can easily kill a five-star demon with a single strike must be extraordinary."

The king smiled as he watched Erza's performance. This was just a demonstration of swordsmanship; he had already obtained information on both Erza and Qi Yan.

Moreover, these two documents were placed on the table in front of the king.

"Erza Scarlet, an S-class mage from Fairy Tail, nicknamed the Fairy Queen, is skilled in transformation magic. She can summon various armors to fight, which can greatly enhance her attack power, defense, and physical abilities."

"Qi Yan, a rookie mage in Fairy Tail, currently without a title. His achievements include: single-handedly eliminating the Phantom Thieves led by the King of Assassins, Camille."

Qi Yan smiled as he looked at Erza on the screen: "As expected of Erza."

"Next up is Group C, players, please enter!"

"Arthur! Arthur! Arthur!!"...

As soon as the commentator announced the players' entrance, the audience erupted in cheers.

"Such high popularity!"

Qi Yan was startled when he saw this.

Arthur also stood up and walked towards the entrance.

When it appeared at the entrance to the arena, the audience cheered.

Qi Yan asked the person next to him, "Isn't he also a nine-star swordsman? How come he's so much more popular than the previous nine-star swordsman?"

The person being asked looked incredulous: "Don't you know Arthur? The other nine-star swordsmen are nine-star because their strength has reached nine stars, but Arthur is nine-star because the level of a swordsman is only nine stars. Arthur is the strongest nine-star swordsman."

This time, none of the people who appeared looked around; instead, they all focused their attention on Arthur. They understood that if they did not defeat the strongest nine-star swordsman, Arthur, they had no hope of winning at all.

"Round 1, Group C matches, begin!!"

Clang!

With the sound of the opening gong, the third battle immediately began.

"Come on!!"

As soon as the start of the competition was announced, all the contestants rushed towards Arthur.

"Radiant Light!!"

The sword in Arthur's hand emitted a golden light, and as he thrust rapidly, golden sword energies surged towards the crowd like a tide.
