"When Salem was arrested for treason, when Viseheim plotted against Cole Strolo, when facing Otto's magic beneath the tower, wasn't every moment a dance on the edge of a knife?"

"It's possible that the Twin Queens want to use the Imperial Council to put pressure on me, test me, or even humiliate me."

"They wanted to make the other electors laugh at me, a peasant elector, and to divide the electoral class from within, creating two factions."

"Furthermore, they want to bring me into their system and put me in shackles."

"But they were wrong."

Lacey stood up and walked to the map of Letania hanging on the wall.

"They opened a door, a door to the heart of power."

"They want to lock me in, but I'm going to walk through this door and make the whole house mine."

He turned around.

"Not only will I go, I will also let all the nobles of Letania see what kind of Elector the people have chosen!"

"I will make our voices heard in their parliament! I will show them what kind of force they despise and fear!"

His words were so infectious that everyone in the conference room began to breathe rapidly.

Taylor's worry was replaced by fervor, Gertrude's eyes sparkled, and even W, who had been indifferent, raised an eyebrow with interest.

“I agree,” Serafina finally said.

"But we must be fully prepared, in terms of intelligence, security, and contingency plans for all kinds of emergencies."

“That’s right.” Lacey nodded. “So, from now on, we’ll split up.”

He looked at Gertrude: "Gertrude, you are of noble birth and know the ins and outs of Triinttelme best."

"I need you to prepare a detailed guide for me to attend the meeting, including information on all the electors, their personalities, factions, as well as the procedures and unspoken rules of the Imperial Council."

"At the same time, in your name, extend goodwill to other nobles who are relatively neutral."

“Leave it to me,” Gertrude readily agreed.

“Taylor, Hedley.” Lacey turned to them. “Select the most elite men from the workers’ pickets and mercenaries to form a guard of thirty. They will accompany me to Trinity.

"Yes!"

"it is good."

Taylor and Hedley responded simultaneously.

“Serafina.” Lacey looked at her one last time, her tone softening.

"While you are in charge of the rear, the construction of Vaser Territory and Viseheim cannot be stopped."

"At the same time, let's get our propagandists moving. I want all the people of Letania to know that their Elector is going to the capital to fight for their rights."

"The people's support is our strongest backing."

"Understood." Serafina nodded emphatically.

Holy Lytanian Empire: Author's Note

It will be available tomorrow!

I expect to update around five chapters in a row.

The update time will remain the same, posted together at 6 PM.

[Urgently requesting first-day pre-orders!!]

Please, everyone!

Watashi, can do anything!

……

I'll continue updating three times a day after it's published; I won't change it. My writing motivation is pretty good right now, so I should be able to maintain it. (I swore this out yesterday, and hardly anyone believed me? Just you wait and see!)

As for the bounty, to prevent people from thinking I'm just going to make a quick buck and run, I'll leave it off for now.

And to be honest, with not many chapters saved up, I'm genuinely a little afraid of releasing ten or twenty chapters at once. I admit defeat...

Let's wait until after National Day to decide whether to open it or not.

Oh, and those guys who said they'd cut the book for 200,000, don't you dare run away! (Hands on hips)

……

The following is irrelevant and can be skipped:

I won't spoil the plot, but I'll write about whatever you want to see, like Blitzkrieg and stuff.

Some of those who would cross the line will be excluded, such as those from certain battalions (I did consider including this when I was outlining the outline, I apologize...).

On a side note, when we started writing the book, my friend and I decided to write about Ark together.

Then we thought about it and chose to write about forensic identification and matriarchal society respectively (that's right, the matriarchal Ark was written by my friend, it's pretty good, you can check it out if you like).

The main problem is that I can't write romance novels; otherwise, I probably would have written one with lifelong regrets, like a fairy tale.

Regarding the sales figures during the new book launch period, we were about evenly matched. Anyway, I'm quite satisfied, and I'm grateful for everyone's support, which prevented my child from failing halfway through.

thank!

Thank you all for your support! Thank you for not supporting me by buying this book!

It will be available for purchase tomorrow, and I hope you readers will support me with your initial subscriptions! Your support is my greatest motivation!

Don't hold back with your monthly tickets and recommendation votes, just shower me with them!!

The first thing to do after launching a product is to eliminate the object of my affections.

It will be available for purchase tomorrow! Lots of chapters!

Holy Leitanian Empire: Chapter 47: I want to impeach Lacey of the Vasseur Territory!

On the official road leading to Trinity, a convoy of four black carriages was traveling smoothly.

On the door panel of the lead carriage was an emblem made of an intertwined sickle and axe—representing the status of the Elector of the Wasser Territory.

As the train convoy passed by, pedestrians on both sides of the street turned their heads to look.

People whispered and murmured among themselves.

“Look, that’s the Workers’ Party emblem!” a young student whispered to his companion.

"I heard he drove the Elector of Vaser to his death... A peasant, and he actually became an Elector?!"

"Didn't the newspaper say that he liberated the miners and gave them food?"

"He really dares to come to Trinitylme? I thought he would hide in Vaser Territory and be his local tyrant." A middle-aged man who looked like a merchant curled his lip.

"Shh, keep your voice down!"

"He is now the Elector Marquis, personally appointed by Her Majesty the Empress!" someone nearby reminded him.

Just then, a boy of about seven or eight years old, clutching a newspaper, rushed out of the alley.

The front page of the newspaper featured the headline "The People's Hero - Elector Lacey!" in exaggerated font, accompanied by a picture of a figure with his arm raised.

"It's Lord Lacey! It's Lord Lacey!" The boy's eyes shone brightly as he shouted and chased after Lacey's carriage.

"Get out of my way, you little bastard!" A patrolling city guard rushed over, waving his baton.

"You've rammed into the carriage of an important person, we'll break your legs!"

He shoved the boy aside, and the boy, caught off guard, fell to the ground, the newspaper in his hand flying out and getting covered in mud.

The boy froze, then burst into tears.

The city guards were still not satisfied and raised their feet to stomp on the newspaper, cursing, "If you dare to make a sound here again, I'll throw you all in jail!"

Taylor, at the front of the group, turned cold. Without saying a word, he simply made a hand gesture.

The two guards behind him immediately dismounted, and the surrounding crowd only saw a blur before the arrogant city guard was grabbed by the arms on the left and right.

"What...what do you want to do?!" The city guard struggled in terror. "I'm a city guard! How dare you..."

One of the patrol members, expressionless, applied slight pressure to the guard, who immediately let out a pig-like scream as his arm twisted at an eerie angle.

Another teammate delivered a clean knee strike to his abdomen.

The city guard collapsed to the ground, retching painfully.

Taylor dismounted, walked to the crying boy, knelt down, and gently patted the boy's head with his rough, calloused hands.

He picked up the muddy newspaper, carefully smoothed it out, folded it neatly, and put it back into the boy's hand.

"Don't be afraid."

"No one will dare to treat you like this again."

He stood up, his gaze sweeping over the silent, trembling crowd, then at the city guards groaning on the ground, before coldly uttering a single sentence:

“We will manage our own people, and you should also manage your people well.”

After saying this, he mounted his horse, and the group continued on its way as if nothing had happened.

An uncontrollable murmur erupted from the crowd.

"My God, they actually dared to make a move..."

"Those city guards are usually arrogant and domineering; they've really messed up this time!"

“Look at their men, how protective they are of that child, completely different from these old soldiers.”

Inside the carriage, Gertrude watched all this through a gap in the curtains, a complex expression on her face.

“Mr. Lacey, Taylor… was too impulsive. This is Trilintelme, not Viseheim.”

“No,” Lacey’s voice was calm and even. “That’s exactly what I want them to see.”

"Even if a sheep is dressed in the skin of a lion, it is still a sheep."

"And a pack of wolves, even if they only show a corner of their fangs, is enough to terrify their prey."

He paused, then added, "It's probably the work of some elector, don't worry, Gertrude."

Gertrude nodded.

……

……

The Imperial Central Council Hall.

On the high platform to the due north, two thrones are placed side by side, one pure white and the other jet black, symbolizing the supreme dual authority of Letania.

Beneath the throne are nine chairs, each engraved with its own family crest, arranged in an arc.

At this moment, eight of the tables were already occupied.

They are the pillars of power in Letania, the electors of the empire.

There was an Elector, a man of imposing stature like a bear, with a rugged face, from the Hayden-Schwell region, who was a soldier by birth.

There was Elector Mecklen Neham, from a merchant family in the Kepranjana region, dressed in fine clothes, with rings adorning all ten fingers, and smiling like a fox.

There were also several old nobles with gloomy faces and unfriendly eyes. Their territory bordered the former Wasser Territory and they had intricate connections with the Gladstone family.

Among them was Werner von Hochberg, the newly elected emperor of Shi Tongling. His young face held a mixture of curiosity and scrutiny as he quietly observed everything.

As Lacey walked into the hall alone, all eyes immediately turned to him.

He wore no elaborate ornaments befitting an elector, only a well-tailored green suit with the Workers' Party emblem on his chest, making him stand out so incongruously in the hall.

His guards, including Taylor and Hadley, were kept out of the door.

Lacey walked unhurriedly toward the empty chair that belonged to the Elector of Vaser Territory.

The Gladstone family crest still remains on that chair.

"quiet!"

Accompanied by a queen's invitation, two figures emerged from behind the curtain at the high platform.
