Letania's position among the five permanent members of the UN Security Council is the most precarious. The sword of Damocles, the Origin Horn, still hangs over their heads. In the past, this would have been enough to plunge Letania into chaos and turmoil, allowing foreign powers to take advantage of the situation and domestic reactionaries to stir up trouble. However, because of the International Summit, none of this has happened. They still hold considerable influence. They owe Ernst a great debt of gratitude, and they naturally understand how to behave now.

The Colombian president went even further, saying, "Bring those seafoods over!"

Mark Max even sent Tin Men. Only after Ernst pleaded with him and promised to take the Agors to Colombia soon did Mark Max temporarily stop drawing his sword.

Even the Duke of Caesar, the political creature Ernst feared most, made a decision this time—she was even the first to reply to Ernst:

"I always remember who I am."

"I am a land dweller."

Each of the five permanent members of the Security Council has a veto power. In theory, if any one of them objects, Agor's application for membership will be rejected.

Today, all five delegates unanimously cast their dissenting votes, a first in the history of the World Summit and representing the attitude of the mainland.

Clementa was somewhat surprised.

She came here as a representative, already prepared for the mainland to reject her, and then she would go with the flow and give up joining the World Summit.

After all, the unforeseen events in Agor's territory had already changed the minds of the seven highest governors. Heratia took the lead, and the opinions of normal cooperation and gradual communication prevailed.

As for those dissenting officials, unfortunately, they clearly could not escape the natural disaster that they themselves claimed was "far inferior to Hai Si."

Coupled with the Haizi's offensive, Agor no longer has the capacity to focus its efforts on gradually encroaching on the land. Normal cooperation, followed by a meeting with the Preservator to find the original plan for the legacy, has once again become the prevailing thought.

However, the unanimous rejection still came as a surprise to her.

"how did you do that?"

she asked curiously.

Ernst smiled with a rare air of nonchalance and satisfaction.

No one held anyone back; everyone was on the same page. This was perhaps the first time the earth had united as one, working together with one heart and one mind.

Without any pressure, Ernst took out a pen from his breast pocket and signed his name on the document.

"I am the representative of the land."

He replied.

Clementa paused for a moment, then smiled faintly and nodded.

She was also a representative of the ocean, but as such, she had no power to influence Agor's thoughts, while Ernst could unify the voices of the land people.

She was a puppet, but Ernst was never!

Chapter 799 Clementine couldn't help but let out a soft hum.

“Agor has received the attitude of the land forces. Agor will also reassess the matter of joining the World Summit and adjust his attitude towards the land forces.”

Clementine wore a polite smile, but unlike usual, Ernst could tell that this time her smile carried a hint of sincerity.

"The ocean and the land are one, and we live together on this land. Communication and cooperation are only natural. On behalf of Agor, myself, and Governor Gretia who was impolite to you, I would like to express my sincere apologies, Mr. Ernst. I hope that the unpleasantness of the past will not affect our cooperation in the future."

Her attitude was quite sincere, and she didn't just talk the talk; instead, she took out a small USB drive from her bag.

This thing has been basically obsolete in Agor. In order to make it easier to bridge the technological gap with the land, they specially made one. What it stores is none other than the design data of Agor's "home robot".

One must eat one bite at a time, and walk one step at a time. Agor, after all, represents the ocean, and his posture will not be so humble as to bury himself in the soil. After careful evaluation and consideration, they chose to provide this information as a "stepping stone" for an apology.

Home robots are common in Agor, but on land, apart from some low-intelligence robots in Trimont, Colombia's most technologically advanced and progressive city, there are no robots to help anyone else, not even the Grand Duke of Victoria.

In some ways, this thing is a truly useful tool that can be put to practical use right away. The gun-style "Saint's Hand" modified by the Iberians using an older version of this weapon is enough to prove its convenience.

Moreover, this time the Agorians didn't resort to any underhanded tactics. They genuinely included all the robot's data, including modifications, programming, and even how to "militarize" it.

Home robots can certainly perform some military purposes, although the Agorians would only consider them as "family bodyguards," but no one can say that they are not practical.

Ernst accepted the gift, and Clementine breathed a sigh of relief.

To be honest, she was a little afraid that Ernst wouldn't accept the gift.

Even though she hadn't witnessed the events that happened in this realm firsthand, just hearing Heratia's description was enough to terrify her!

The ocean was torn apart, and divine punishment descended. This was the first time since Agor unified the ocean that he had suffered such a massive blow!

Even the Haisi only managed to capture some of Agor's cities, forcing Agor to tighten its defenses. Ultimately, they were just tangible enemies. While Agor couldn't do much against them for the time being, it had still achieved the "glorious feat" of killing one of their "newborn" leaders!

But what about this natural disaster?

They didn't even know how the enemy had launched the attack. Ordinary weather weapons couldn't possibly poke through the energy shields of cities in Agor's territory as easily as piercing a window!

"Treasure," a small punishment to serve as a warning. These "prophecies" written in Agorian script were directly sealed off by the Agorian high command, and only secretly notified a select group at the very top, as well as Clementsa, who was the frontline representative.

Strictly speaking, Clementa was not qualified to know this information based on her official authority. The reason she was informed was because the surviving supreme rulers, such as Heratia, analyzed that the so-called "treasure" must be on land at this moment, even if the inhabitants were not from the land.

Otherwise, there's no reason why the other side would come knocking on their door so soon after they started to put pressure on the mainland!

Moreover, this "treasure" is likely closely related to the World Summit and Ernst.

After all, the most likely target capable of directly inflicting heavy damage on Agor is their "cheap father"—the prehistoric civilization. And on land, there happens to be an Ernst who claims to be related to the "prehistoric civilization."

Regardless of whether this disaster was a warning from Ernst to Argoll, they couldn't rule out the possibility. Therefore, Ernst's decision to accept the gift, to some extent, also represented his attitude.

If they accept it, it means they still have room for negotiation.

If you don't accept it, then prepare to collect the corpse.

Of course, it was to collect Agor's body.

With the gifts delivered, Clementa had achieved half of the purpose of her trip.

ZhongQun:/linlin~Qi÷jiu: As for the remaining half, it concerns something else.

If the previous matter had not been resolved, then the next matter would naturally be out of the question. Now that the previous matter had been resolved to a satisfactory conclusion, Clementsa brought up this matter.

"Mr. Ernst, what are your thoughts on the deep-sea hunters?"

This question left Ernst somewhat puzzled.

What do you mean I have any ideas about the Deepsea Hunters? Aren't they your people from Agor? Why are you asking me?

Ernst had a deep impression of the Deepsea Hunters, mainly because each of them was a master. Skadi seemed to have a high-level account with the "Newborn" title that she hadn't logged in. Laurentina had a backdoor to Precys that she could use to visit other accounts. Goredia was the daughter of Heratia, the highest governor of Agor, and her background in Agor was practically that of a prince. As for Ulpian, he seemed more ordinary than the others, but even Ernst couldn't see through his cunning.

Now that Clementine is suddenly bringing up these people with me, could it be that something has happened to them?

“Mr. Ernst is overthinking it. Apart from Ulpian, the Deepsea Hunters are all fine.”

Ulbian has disappeared, or rather, he was never with Agor's men in the first place.

This man appeared to be from Agor, but Ernst, after a brief encounter, felt that his thinking was actually closer to that of the land dwellers. After establishing contact between Agor and the land, he immediately left, showing no intention of staying.

He didn't even let the deep-sea hunter's "doctor" check his physical condition.

Ernst didn't know what he was up to, but ultimately it was Agor's business, and it wasn't his place to interfere. He didn't intend to play games with Clementa, so he simply asked:

"You want them to come ashore?"

Clementine paused for a moment, then nodded with a wry smile:

"Mr. Ernst was incredibly insightful."

"The identities of the Deepsea Hunters Zero are rather awkward in today's A6Gor. Especially for Miss Skadi."

"The fact that she possesses the 'newborn' aspect is already known within this realm. Her current situation is particularly difficult."

Ernst nodded.

This result was both unexpected and reasonable.

A knight who slays a dragon is a hero, but what kind of knight returns after slaying a dragon is another matter entirely for the king.

That's what deep-sea hunters are like.

They already had the problem of being corrupted by the sea, and if they had all perished in that raid on the newborns, they would naturally be heroes of Agor. But now that they are still alive, it has become very difficult for Agor to deal with them.

If the problem of the sea creatures' transformation isn't resolved, these hunters will never gain absolute trust. Having one's own people wielding a knife against you while fighting abroad is uncomfortable for anyone.

Not use them? Then the hunters' powerful strength would be wasted, and Agor would still have to keep a close eye on them to prevent the "heroes" from suddenly turning into "monsters" and causing further disasters.

Even if Agor is tolerant enough, Greta, because of her status, might not face too many problems, and Laurentina, wanting to be an artist outside of her hunter life, might also be able to accept a new life. But what about Skadi?

The "newborn" mark on her body makes it impossible for anyone to ignore this girl who comes from an ordinary background but has an extraordinary experience.

“You gave it to Amaya, and from her we learned the exact name of Skadi’s firstborn child.”

Isamara.

Clementine uttered the name, and Ernst nodded silently. She continued,

"Agor doesn't advocate using unfair methods against heroes, but the safety risks of a [newborn] living in Agor are simply too great. Therefore..."

"So you're handing him over to Lu Jun?"

Ernst gave a cold laugh, unusually blunt for once:

"You are all hypocrites."

Indeed, judging from the current situation, the sea creatures are not as threatening on land as they are in the sea. It would be better for Skadi to stay on land, away from the ocean and the sea creatures.

But no matter how you look at it, Agor simply abandoned a meritorious official.

If Skadi hadn't taken on Ulpian's responsibility and struck that blow, Agor would be facing one more "birth" now! She did it, and now it's become a problem.

Even if it was for "national security" reasons, Agor seems to have made the difficult decision not to kill Skadi directly, but Ernst was absolutely right to call him hypocritical!

Clementa's bitter smile deepened.

She was speechless. She didn't agree with the decision to send Skadi to land and start a new life, but she didn't have the right to vote!

In almost every decision Agor has made recently, she has been on the opposite side, but she has absolutely no decision-making power.

As an official, she had to carry out orders from her superiors; when Ernst scolded someone, she was the one who got scolded. She was helpless.

If she could, she would run away!

Unfortunately, she can't run away. If she leaves, who knows who will replace her?

If Ernst is really angered, can Argoll withstand a second natural disaster?

Just as she was feeling bitter, a cushion suddenly appeared in front of her.

Clementine looked up and saw Ernst standing in front of her, having somehow produced a cushion.

"You really want to swear, don't you?"

"I feel a bit nauseous and frustrated, but there's nothing I can do about it."

"Take it and hit it a couple of times," Ernst said with a smile, pointing to the pattern on the cushion.

It is Agor's symbol.

"puff"

Clementine couldn't help but laugh, and for a moment she didn't know what to say.

Printing Agor's emblem on a cushion and hitting it a few times when angry is a rather childish way of venting.

The fact that Ernst was able to produce this thing at this critical juncture shows that he had already prepared it.

Maybe he's used it before?

Just imagining that scene made Clementa chuckle and she couldn't help but hum softly.

"Don't want it? Never mind then."

Seeing that she was just staring at him with wide eyes, pretending to be a fathead and not saying a word, Ernst simply tried to take it back. Clementine, of course, wasn't about to let it go; she got up, grabbed the cushion, and hugged it to her arms.

"Yes, I will! How could I refuse a gift from Mr. Ernst?"

She blinked, staring at the cushion as if lost in thought, her eyes somewhat unfocused. After a long pause, she belatedly blurted out:

"Thank you."

"It's nothing," Ernst waved his hand.

He didn't like owing favors. Clementine had stepped outside Agor's position to comfort him last time, and he was simply returning the favor by comforting her in return.

Negotiation is the most exhausting part of the job. The big shots sit behind the scenes waiting for news, while those who negotiate face-to-face suffer. We're all in the same boat; a little consideration for each other is no big deal.

After comforting Clementa, Ernst also made a decision.

"Bring her to land."

"What about the other hunters?"

“They will come too, including Miss Gretia.”
