Volume 1: 131. Scart Arrives to Meet (4k)
"No, no, no, no!"
Gudako kept rejecting them all morning, and couldn't find anyone she liked.
During the lunch break, Gudako suddenly sprawled out on the table.
"Damn it, who decided this? This is so troublesome!"
"It was your own choice. You made that decision yourself."
Da Vinci walked over and put down his water glass. Today, she didn't need to stay by his side and could rest, so she wasn't as tired as yesterday.
"Ahaha, it was just me~ Oh, never mind then~"
Gudako felt much better after drinking the hot tea. While she was still thinking about what to have for lunch, she saw the administrator pop up.
"Gentlemen, several officials will be coming to inspect later, so please be prepared."
"Gentlemen? Who?"
Gudako sat up straight. Was someone finally coming?
"The personnel have not been confirmed yet, but based on past experience, it should be those two lords among the fairy knights. I can't say too much, so please don't be too nervous. Just tidy up the rooms a bit."
After the administrator finished speaking, he left, leaving Gudako and the others looking at each other in bewilderment.
"Someone's coming. What are your thoughts?"
Leonardo da Vinci: "I'll listen to you."
Mashu: "It's fine as long as you decide, Senpai."
Tristan: "Either way is fine."
Oberon: "I was just watching the show."
None of them made a decision and just followed Gudako's lead. Gudako waved her hand and said, "Alright, let's meet then!"
"However, we definitely need to prepare some things." Gudako's eyes darted around before she gave the order: "Mash will be with me in a bit. Lord Tristan will be by the window. If there's a problem, Mash will hold him off while Lord Tristan breaks the window, and we'll retreat immediately!"
"As for Oberon, if there are any problems, remember to take Da Vinci with you when you retreat. Don't let me down."
Gudako patted Oberon on the shoulder, saying, "This is a crucial opportunity to see if you can trust me. Whether you can seize it depends on what you do."
After lunch, some commotion broke out outside. The fairies who had been gathered here scattered and hid, disappearing without a trace in an instant.
You could say they've reached a certain level of proficiency.
"That scary? That's quite surprising."
Gudako saw this scene through the window, and also saw the two 'adults' who had arrived.
One is tall with long blonde hair and fierce eyes, while the other has long, wavy silver hair and a petite figure; each has their own unique charm.
Upon first glance, Gudako's pupils slowly widened, and saliva involuntarily dripped out and slid to the ground.
"Haha~ I knew it was good stuff!"
"What good stuff?" Leonardo da Vinci asked curiously, handing over a piece of paper as he did so.
"Are those two the ones conducting the inspection? They seem quite capable. Speaking of which, one of them is really tall."
On the road, Bagst and Melyuchina felt gazes and looked up to see two unfamiliar men peering out of the window.
Bagst: "That location seems to be the room where the commission was made to be inspected, and those two people are the ones who initiated the commission."
The two had already obtained the intelligence, but basic communication still existed.
"There are five of them. Let's go check it out first. If there's nothing wrong, we'll leave. Our mission this time isn't to arrest them."
"Baghster, don't lose your temper later."
"No, I can control it now."
"Really? I thought it was a joke."
Bagst and Melyuchina chatted casually for a while, and soon, led by the administrator, they arrived at Gudako's room.
"Knock knock knock~" The administrator knocked on the door, and the door opened quickly. The orange-haired girl opened the door and smiled with her head tilted.
"Welcome, Miss Administrator. Is there anything I can help you with?" Gudako's gaze shifted to the two people beside her, and she covered her face in amazement.
"Oh my, these two must be the gentlemen who have come for the inspection. They are quite refined. Please come in, please come in~"
Gudako acted like a seasoned customer-attracting expert, offering kind words while inviting the two of them in to sit down.
"What kind of tea would you two like? We have some here..."
Mei Liuqina raised her hand angrily to interrupt.
"We're here to check and ask questions, so let's get started and finished as soon as possible."
Gudako paused, put the teapot back in its place, and gave a ladylike smile.
"Yes, gentlemen, if you have any questions, I promise to answer them all."
"Well, first of all, why did you issue that commission, or rather, why did you want to overthrow His Highness Morgan's rule?"
Bagst pulled out his notebook to take notes.
"This, due to some personal reasons, we have to overturn."
Gudako scratched her head, and what she said shocked Da Vinci and Mashu so much that their pupils widened. This girl doesn't hide anything at all!
"Is it inconvenient to say the reason?"
Bagst frowned, raised his hand, took out a stone, held it in his palm, and nodded when he saw no reaction.
"Without illusions, other magic, or potions, just don't mess around. You can find teammates, but don't use underhanded methods to get others involved."
"Be careful not to be scammed. If you encounter any problems, you can seek help from the authorities. We will follow up and resolve any issues as long as they are resolved."
After saying that, Melyuchina patted Bagst: "Let's go."
Gudako and the others watched the two leave in confusion, only realizing it was over after closing the door.
Could it be that they discovered something and went to look for someone?
Da Vinci quickly moved closer to Gudako: "Should we go?"
"It's okay, don't worry. Let's get ready and have some food, then we'll get back to work."
Gudako went to the window and watched the backs of Melyuchina and Bagst, her hands cupping her face, her eyes filled with longing.
Oh, how beautiful they are! Oh, how I wish I had their clothes or their weapons! Oh~~~
"Hey, hey, hey, Gudako, don't go acting crazy right now! Please don't steal clothes, it's easy to get into trouble!"
Da Vinci pressed down on Gudako's shoulders and shook her violently, trying to shake her will back.
"No, no, no, stop shaking me, I'm going to throw up..."
"Da Vinci, stop! The master can't take it anymore!"
Mashu quickly rescued her senior and scolded Da Vinci, "Da Vinci, your senior is just a human, and his physical abilities are different from ours."
"...Is that so??" Leonardo da Vinci was shocked and silent, his tone somewhat uncertain.
"...I guess so..." Mashu was also starting to lose confidence; the images from before flooding her mind were making her feel rather insecure...
"Cough cough, it's nothing, I'm back to normal now!"
"Mashu and Da Vinci, don't fight. Go out for dinner and get back to work."
"Oh, by the way, I'm going out for a bit, you don't need to come."
Gudako quickly left the room and found the administrator at lightning speed.
"Miss admin~ Can I ask you some questions?"
"Questions? Feel free to ask!"
"Could the two who just came in please say something?"
"Are you referring to Lady Melyuchina and Lord Bagst? If it's just gossip, I wouldn't know anything about it. But if it's just basic information, you can check the official website."
The administrator didn't continue the topic, but only pointed out a direction.
The two officials weren't really discussing anything, but rather they couldn't casually talk to the guy in front of them.
Normal actions are work, but this personal information is not work, and cannot be said.
"Official page? How do I access it?"
Gudako was puzzled and confused; why did this word sound so familiar?
"The bracelet has this function built in. Didn't the staff tell you that?"
The administrator was equally puzzled, "That shouldn't be the case. Even if they didn't say anything, they would at least include a user manual, right? Didn't they?"
If you don't do it, you're just slacking off, and if you get caught, you'll be fined.
"Oh! That one!"
Gudako clasped her hands together, remembering that the staff had indeed been saying something, but they were cautious and quickly left. The staff had even gotten up to try and stop them, but Gudako and the others didn't stop.
"I had to leave quickly because of something, so how exactly is it used?"
Gudako asked shamelessly, and the administrator reluctantly began to teach her.
"Just follow your idea, but the first time you start it, you need to do one thing: put three fingers of your other hand on it."
Gudako did as instructed.
"Next, all we need to do is shout (Empire Network, start!)."
"...Should we really shout?" Gudako remained silent for a moment.
"Of course, this is the first time that the necessary measures have been activated. Otherwise, only functions like paying money would be available, while functions such as entering virtual games, making phone calls, and connecting to the internet would not be usable."
"..."
The administrator's words successfully piqued Gudako's interest, and she took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and shouted loudly.
"Imperial Network, activate!!!"
The loud noise attracted the attention of the surrounding crowd, and soon someone took the lead in clapping.
"***Slap!" Along with everyone's thumbs up and beaming smiles.
"Actually, you just need to get close and speak softly. This function is only for recording your voice."
The administrator offered a brief explanation, and Gudako fell silent, caught between the high-tech virtual framework that filled her vision and a sense of unease.
This is a bit too much.
"No, I can't be the only one who dies!" Gudako's mind raced, and she looked up and shouted, "Da Vinci! Mashu! Tristan, come quick!"
Soon, several people arrived fully armed. Mashu quickly came to her side and asked, "Senpai, what happened?"
"Ahem, I have indeed discovered something, and it is very important."
Gudako coughed twice and then relayed the administrator's words.
"Activating the bracelet is necessary. I've already activated it, so you should activate yours soon too."
Administrator: Dead Fish Eyes.
Oberon: Shocked, dead fish eyes.
Leonardo da Vinci: In doubt.
Mashu: Pressing her fingers down and shouting loudly, without the slightest doubt.
Tristan paused for a moment and chose to follow Mash's lead.
"Imperial Network, activate!"
"Imperial Network, activate!"
"***Smack!!"
After the two finished speaking, the people around them began to applaud, their eyes filled with approval, as if they were seeing colleagues.
The two were still a little confused, but Da Vinci had already discovered something, though she couldn't put it into words because everyone else had done it, and Gudako had already come up behind her with a big smile on her face.
