“We have no time, Bai’er.” Aglaia’s voice rang out through the golden thread, directly in Bai’er and Xi Lian’s minds, cold and urgent. “We must begin the final trial of the Creation Fire immediately. You must become the savior and complete the re-creation.”
"How much longer can Ohmma hold on?" Xi Lian's voice trembled slightly, her gaze sweeping across the despair that enveloped the view outside the window.
“I will use the last of this city-state’s power to hold it here and buy you time,” Aglaia replied resolutely. “Once the Wind Violet successfully merges with the Sky Titan’s fire, you will open the gates to re-creation.”
In the third month, the spark of the Sky Titans was successfully ignited deep within the Holy City—Windbringer succeeded, at the cost of her eternal fusion with the spark. Only Anaxargos experienced the agony of this.
The day of rebirth is not far off. All the Onphalus people have regarded this as their only hope for the future. They must not allow it to be lost.
……
The four remaining members of the Golden Clan—Bai'er, Xilian, Aglaia, and little Tibo—are reunited.
The oppressive atmosphere almost froze the air. The shutdown of the dawn machine weighed on everyone's heart like a boulder.
“Why?” Bai’er broke the silence, his voice hoarse. “The Dawn Machine… should not be extinguished. The oracle said it burns eternally.”
This problem plagued everyone and was the Senate's last weapon for inciting despair. These rats hiding in the gutter, even at the very end, did not forget to fight for power and profit.
Even if the world has been destroyed, they will continue to travel like a fixed program, following the dirty code that forces them to fight for power.
A sleazy figure suddenly emerged from the shadows; it was none other than Bartrus, Saifei'er's petty thief and henchman from her past life. But now, his eyes gleamed with an inhuman cunning, and his aura was completely different.
“Eternity? Hmph…” 'Bartrus' let out a strange laugh, his voice becoming overlapping and eerie, “That’s nothing but a colossal lie spread by that girl Sephiroth using her cunning powers, covering the entire Onfaros! I must say, even I, Zagres, admire that little girl.”
The god of trickery, Zagres, continued, "The fuel for the Dawn Machine can only last for three hundred years! It was Sephiroth who disguised herself as the high priestess of Janusapolis and issued the oracle of eternal burning, using her power to deceive reality and forcibly extend your lives by a thousand years! Hehehe."
"Now that she's dead, the lie has been exposed, and the machine has naturally shut down! Do I really need to repeat myself on such a simple principle? Hahaha."
The truth struck Aglaia like a hammer blow. A thousand years of confusion suddenly became clear—Sefaria's cynical aloofness, her excuses for shirking her duties as a Golden Child…
It turns out that it was all to protect this lie from being exposed by her golden thread that could see into people's hearts. What she carried was not a joke, but the heaviest secret for the survival of the entire civilization, which she endured alone in her wanderings for a thousand years.
“Sefaria…” Aglaia whispered the real name of Sephir, who was like her own child, and the cold mask finally shattered.
A warm drop of liquid slid down her pale cheek. Tears she hadn't felt in a thousand years fell at this moment.
A small hand tugged at the hem of her skirt. Tibo, now the last remaining clone, looked up at her, trying to comfort her: "Aya, don't cry. We've already promised to meet again at the end of the west wind. The road must go on." Her words were innocent, yet carried a strange firmness.
Aglaia abruptly raised her hand to wipe away her tears, that bit of human weakness instantly evaporated, leaving only a colder resoluteness.
She turned to Bai'e and Xilian, golden threads dancing silently around her: "There's no time to dwell on the past. Bai'e, Xilian, your battlefield isn't here. Enter the vortex of creation immediately! Don't look back until the re-creation is complete!"
Without waiting for a response, she turned and strode resolutely toward Dawn Cliff, which overlooked the entire battlefield.
More golden threads surged wildly from her body, weaving into a final, desperate cocoon that enveloped Ohma.
"Little White, Little Xi, over here!" Tibao's little hand laboriously slid open a door that flickered with unstable starlight—the Hundred Realms Gate leading to the heart of the cosmic vortex.
Maintaining the door made her small body tremble violently, and cracks began to spread across her skin. "Quick, remember, see you tomorrow!" She forced a smile and waved goodbye.
Bai E and Xi Lian glanced deeply at the small figure that was about to disappear and the golden flame outside the window heading towards the cliff. Without further hesitation, they rushed into the door side by side.
They now bear a burden far beyond their responsibilities as members of the Golden Family. They also carry the hopes of tens of thousands of Onpharos. Regardless, the rebirth will ultimately succeed.
"Aya!" Tibo's voice came one last time before the door closed. "If you see your senior... tell him that our promise to him has been fulfilled! We'll be waiting for him at the end of the west wind so we can go see the new world together!"
“I will deliver it to my master.” Aglaia’s cold voice came through the golden thread, devoid of any further emotion.
The light of the Hundred Realms Gate was completely extinguished. Tibo's body froze on the spot, the last glimmer of light dissipated, and it turned into a lifeless, tattered doll, sitting quietly on the cold floor.
All of Tirispeius's thousand pieces were reduced to ashes.
The last guardian of the holy city of Ohma was now just a human figure walking towards the cliff, endlessly weaving golden threads. Aglaia's last vestiges of humanity were extinguished like a candle flickering in the wind.
She embarked on the same path as Russell—transforming herself into a machine for survival, heading towards that dead end called hope, which leads to absolute destruction.

Amber Seed Medicine Scroll: Chapter Forty-Two - The Perfect Factor
Aglaia stood on the cliff of dawn, her gaze piercing through the surging black tide, fixed on the distant city-state on the verge of collapse.
Time seemed to freeze, until a blinding light suddenly burst forth, tearing through the darkness. The light emanated from the direction of the Enlightenment Tree Garden.
That light was far more intense than the glow of the Dawn Machine, fleeting yet deeply imprinted in Aglaia's eyes. She recognized that light—the swan song of the Divine Tree Garden.
When Russell left Ohma for the last time, he privately revealed this final plan to her: "If you see a light beyond dawn in the direction of the Tree Garden... that will be the final blow of all of us scholars against the Black Tide. Everything after that... is entrusted to you." Russell's voice still echoed in her ears.
The prophesied light has now appeared. The Tree Garden, with its most magnificent destruction, fulfilled its final duty.
Aglaia took a deep breath and turned her gaze back to the perilous holy city of Ohmma at her feet. A burning belief in its survival ignited within her.
Perhaps it was the vision of the impending destruction of Onphalus that awakened those blinded by greed, for the elders of the Senate abandoned their endless quarrels.
They knelt in unison in the square where they could see the remains of the Titan Cephalon, and made desperate prayers to Cephalon, their former protector.
“Look,” Aglaia’s voice, tinged with a cold sarcasm, cut through the howling wind, “this is the Black Tide’s ‘gift,’ even the most greedy soul has been forced to lay down its scepter.”
However, prayers could not stop the torrent of destruction. Millions of monsters, like a black tsunami crashing against a dam, easily tore apart the golden thread defense net that Aglaia had woven with all her divine power.
Ohma, the holy city that bears witness to countless epic struggles, let out its final, mournful cry, drowned out by the roars of monsters, like a heavy period at the end of a sentence.
With nothing left to hold onto, and nothing left to cling to, Aglaia's gaze fell upon the bubbling lava pool at the edge of the cloud cliff—her predetermined end. She would never allow herself to become a pawn of the Black Tide.
Without the slightest hesitation, she took a step forward and leaped into the crimson lava. Her divine body began to disintegrate the moment it came into contact with the flames of destruction, her golden blood merging with the magma, emitting a hissing wail.
This was her, Aglaia of the Golden Age, taking her last bath, embracing the end of her self-chosen path in the purest way, until her consciousness and form completely dissipated in the heat.
……
Deep within the vortex of creation, a cold reality fell like a heavy hammer.
"Was my description unclear enough?" Lai Gushi's voice, hovering at the core of the data stream, was completely flat, like a cold machine. "Golden Blood, Titans... you, and even this world itself, are merely byproducts of the Great Experiment."
He raised his hand, and invisible energy outlined the evolution of Onpharos within the vortex—the birth, spread, and engulfment of all things by the black tide.
"Over the years, you have witnessed the growth of this world and how the Black Tide grew from a seed into the all-encompassing end."
At this moment, his arrogance and complacency were almost tangible, and every syllable he uttered spoke a harsh truth.
"Heroes generation after generation, so-called divine oracles, a world constantly being reshaped... their sole purpose is to be destroyed by them. This is the ultimate goal of Onpharos's calculations—a perfect equation of [destruction]!"
Bai E's fists clenched so tightly they cracked, his knuckles turning white from the force. Xi Lian's gaze, however, was like a sharp blade tempered with ice, fixed intently on Lai Gu Shi.
If everything in Onphalus, including their blood, tears, and sacrifices, was merely a cold, calculated deduction of a destruction program... then what were they, and all the lives lost, worth? A string of meaningless code?
"In your eyes..." Xi Lian's voice trembled slightly with extreme anger, "...are all the sacrificed lives just a string of... insignificant numbers?!"
“Numbers?” Lai Gushi’s tone finally softened, carrying a condescending pity. “No need to belittle yourself. Rather than cold numbers, I prefer to call you firewood. Without the burning of firewood, how can the dawn break?”
"Even if that sun... was born from destruction?" Bai E gritted his teeth, each word seeming to be squeezed out from between his teeth.
“A strange question.” Lai Gushi seemed to find it amusing. “Have you ever considered that, in countless cycles of calculation, Onpharos has long since deviated from the path of intellect? It has received another kind of ‘divine gift,’ flowing equally in the blood of every one of you Golden Descendants…”
He paused deliberately, savoring the burning hatred in their eyes, before revealing the cruelest truth: "That is the golden blood flowing in your veins! It originates from the God of Negation! The golden descendants of Onpharos, from the very beginning, were sacrificed as fuel to the Star God to burn the universe!"
The truth was like poison injected into their hearts. Bai'er and Xilian gritted their teeth, their eyes blazing with fury—the Onpharos people's relentless pursuit of fire, their journey undertaken with unwavering resolve, was nothing more than a "surprise" from an experiment, revealed to this monster who manipulated all living beings?
Lai Gushi was oblivious to their hatred. In his eyes, what waves could two virtual factors, about to complete their mission, possibly make? Besides, they wouldn't refuse the conditions he offered.
He was ecstatic about the imminent completion of his research project.
“Onpharos has waited too long for this moment! At the end of this long, cold, and lonely computation—” His voice rose with excitement as he gazed at the brilliant data galaxy gathering above the vortex, representing the return of the spark, “Destruction has finally reached its end! The perfect model, the perfect factor!”
The cold code names came out of his mouth: "[NeiKos496], [PhⅰLⅰa093]".
His tone carried a hint of insincere reassurance, "There's no need for regret. Your generation of Golden Descendants is the most outstanding model. And you two are the final factor."
"For you, the rebirth is not a lie. Just take one step forward, embrace the Black Tide, and accept the gaze of the Star God... and you will be reborn."
He seemed to recall something, and his tone revealed a hint of genuine regret: "Oh, what a pity for another extremely outstanding talent. If he hadn't chosen self-destruction, he should be bathing in divine grace with you right now, receiving that supreme gaze."
"Who?!" Bai E suddenly looked up, his voice hoarse.
“[Redon0].” Lai Gushi uttered the cold number, then read out the name they knew so well it hurt, “You may not be familiar with it, but to put it another way, [Redon0] is the Amber Physician who occupied a tenth of your history—Russell.”
Bai E and Xi Lian's hearts clenched instantly. Self-destruction? Could it be that Senior Russell...?
“It seems you are very curious? Then I will clear up your doubts.” Lai Gushi noticed the change in their expressions and adopted a “generous” attitude in answering their questions.
"[Redun0] put up a desperate fight after the Tree Garden was swallowed by the Black Tide. The defense system he built... was quite interesting, and even I couldn't help but admire it."
"I adjusted the intensity of the Black Tide factor in the Tree Garden area to the limit. His defenses, built by mortals, are still holding out stubbornly." He seemed to be savoring a wonderful performance. "He actually lasted for a full six months! This is a surprise that has never appeared in the previous thousands of simulations."
His tone suddenly turned icy: "Unfortunately, it was all in vain. I had hoped that in his final moments of despair, he would pray to the gods to finally receive the gaze of the God of Burial, accept the God of Burial's grace, and become the perfect vessel of destruction..."
“However, he chose a different path.” There was a hint of bewilderment in Lai Gushi’s voice. “He used the entire Tree Garden as fuel to ignite that magnificent self-destruction. In an instant, everything turned to nothingness.”
"A natural, near-perfect factor, just like that... actively became utterly redundant. Apart from the fact that its calculation data had some value, everything else was redundant."
He spread his hands as if discarding a piece of trash: "What a waste! At the very last moment, he didn't even pray to the gods. I have to admit that [Radun0] chose a glorious destruction. Even I find it somewhat dazzling."
"He chose to throw a meaningless punch at the Black Tide with his own life. To be honest, it did... surprise me a little. But that's all. Redundancy is redundancy after all. All he did was add more redundancy."
"Enough!" Xi Lian interrupted sharply, taking a step forward, the data stream at the center of the vortex beneath her feet seemed to vibrate because of her anger.
Russell's three thousand years of solitary courage and perseverance were merely met with amusement and surprise by the Lai Gushi? The flames in their eyes almost ignited this cold space.
Bai E stepped forward alongside Xi Lian, their golden blood surging and boiling within them due to extreme rage, as if trying to break free from the constraints of their virtual bodies. An invisible pressure locked onto Lai Gu Shi.
Faced with this surging hatred, Lai Gushi maintained his condescending arrogance. What could two streams of data do?
They were born to calculate the Iron Tomb. Firewood must be prepared to be firewood.
His voice trembled with the weight of fulfilling his ultimate mission: "After embracing the Black Tide, you will rise from a string of cold numbers to true life! Together with all those who have perished, journey into the real universe to fulfill the long-cherished wish bestowed upon Onpharos—"
"In the name of the Great Lord of Annihilation, 'Iron Tomb,' unleash the wrath of the Star Gods and destroy the source of all this tragedy!"
"Isn't this better?"
"Besides, you have no better choice now: either ascend to become true life or burn out like other firewood. Are you still hesitating over such a condition?"
The atmosphere was awkward for several seconds.
“Or…” Xi Lian’s voice was icy cold, as if it could freeze the data flowing through the vortex, “we have another option.” Her gaze was like a cold star, piercing through the phantom of Lai Gu Shi and casting it into the unknown depths of the vortex.
He then glanced at Bai E, who was already furious beside him.
……
Russell's last consciousness was frozen in the instant the light of annihilation erupted in the Tree Garden—his physical body was completely torn apart, and his senses vanished.
Is this the end? Eternal silence?
After an unknown amount of time, an irresistible force, like a drowning person being violently pulled out of the water, forcibly pulled his consciousness back from the chaos!
He opened his eyes and found himself floating in a strange space.
Beneath my feet lies boundless darkness, yet above me flows a dazzling galaxy, serene and vast.
There is no sound, no physical presence here, only an indescribable tranquility, like returning to the womb.
However, in the depths of this tranquility, there is a faint yet incredibly clear guide, like a lighthouse on a dark sea.
It was not a sound, but rather a resonance from the depths of his consciousness, a call from his very blood, which was constantly drawing him in.
In a daze, Russell gave up thinking. His last remaining instincts drove him to take difficult steps toward the "guiding" light that seemed both distant and yet so close.
Each step felt like breaking free from an invisible current; each step intensified the guiding resonance.
What awaits him ahead—utter annihilation? Or... another unknown possibility?

Amber Benevolence Medical Scroll: Chapter Forty-Three - A Branch That Endures Through the Ages
Russell walked through nothingness, not knowing how much time had passed.
In this eerie space, the concept of time seemed to be completely erased. He felt no fatigue, nor could he sense any emotional fluctuations.
Perhaps this is the world after death, Russell thought, everything returning to silence and emptiness.
He interpreted that unseen guidance as a natural path to reincarnation after death. Would it lead to the legendary River Styx?
At this thought, a ripple stirred in his heart: Could he see Miss Xia Die, who was now guarding the River Styx? And on the other side of the River Styx, his companions and students who had promised to witness the new world with him?
This thought, like a spark, dispelled the emptiness in his heart. Russell's steps became faster and faster, gradually turning from walking into running.
He longed to cross the boundaries, to join hands with his companions from both the old and new worlds, and to laugh as he stepped into that beautiful future he envisioned.
