The moment the words left his mouth, the light in the bedroom suddenly went out.

The air behind Mei began to distort violently, and countless tiny purple arcs of electricity appeared out of thin air, like a swarm of wildly dancing snakes. They converged and intertwined, eventually tearing open an unstable spatial rift.

A figure slowly emerged from the lightning of destruction and rebirth.

She was a girl with the same stunning beauty as Raiden Mei, but their temperaments were worlds apart.

Two ferocious, blood-red dragon horns grew upwards from his forehead.

Her attire consisted of a dark armor formed from her powers, perfectly outlining her breathtakingly alluring curves and emphasizing every inch of her figure.

Her long, straight legs were encased in white over-the-knee stockings, her calves were covered in black and red leg armor, and she wore a pair of combat boots with ridiculously high heels.

Her left arm was completely covered by a ferocious crimson dragon arm armor, with the dragon head shoulder guards glaring angrily.

She just stood there, doing nothing, but the arrogance and wildness emanating from her very bones were enough to make everyone present feel suffocated.

"Illness? Product?" She parted her lips slightly, her voice full of disdain. "Mortal, don't use your pitiful knowledge to define me."

Her gaze fell again on her own trembling, frail self on the bed, and her brows furrowed in disgust.

"And you, you're truly useless." She sneered. "Being stared at like an insect, all you can do is tremble? How shameful."

"Who are you?! You're not allowed to talk about Mei like that!" Kiana was the first to react. Like an enraged cat, she instantly bristled and stood in front of the bed without thinking, spreading her arms to try to protect Mei behind her with her not-so-broad body.

"Kiana..." Mei looked at the figure blocking her way, her voice trembling with tears.

"Ha! Hahahaha! Interesting! Really interesting!" W burst into unrestrained laughter, slinging the grenade launcher over her shoulder. "Now this is more interesting! Hey, you over there with horns, you look much better than that guy who could only shoot electricity before. Want to play with me?"

Rin Tohsaka and Bronya remained silent, but both of them had unusually solemn expressions.

Rin's hand was already on the jeweled pouch at the hem of her skirt.

Bronya even summoned the Heavy Bunny.

"Wow...wow...wow—!"

A burst of exclamations and fervor broke the tense atmosphere of the standoff.

Kitagawa Kaimu's eyes were sparkling with excitement. She held her hands to her chest, her whole body trembling slightly with excitement. The way she looked at the Thunder Queen was like a believer seeing a deity.

"So, so cool! This outfit! Those dragon horns! This aura! It's simply... simply the ultimate perfection!" She completely forgot her fear, her cosplay spirit erupting like a volcano. "I can't take it anymore, I absolutely have to cosplay this character! Absolutely! This is a divine revelation!"

"So noisy, you piece of trash." The Thunder Queen didn't even bother to look at her, just uttered a few words impatiently.

Her attention was focused on one person from beginning to end.

The man who was shirtless, with only a towel wrapped around his waist, dared to look at her with such a judgmental gaze.

"So it was you who got me out here?" The Thunder Queen strode forward, her high-heeled boots clicking crisply on the floor.

She walked step by step toward Gu Ye, and the lightning around her became even more intense.

She stopped in front of Gu Ye, the distance between them less than half a meter.

She was shorter than Gu Ye, but her imposing aura made it seem as if she were looking down on all living beings.

A pungent smell, a mixture of the burnt smell of lightning and the queen's unique fragrance, wafted towards us.

“Answer me.” Her voice was cold, carrying an unquestionable air of command.

Gu Ye didn't answer, but just looked at her calmly, with even a hint of appreciation in his eyes.

"What? Scared stiff?" The Thunder Queen's lips curled into a mocking smile again. She stretched out her lightly armored right hand and gently traced a faint white mark across Gu Ye's bare chest with her cold fingertips.

"Or do you think you can control me?" Her voice was low, full of aggression and provocation. "Don't misunderstand, kid. This body is mine. Everything about her is mine."

"No...no!"

Mei's trembling yet resolute voice came from the bed.

When she saw Kiana standing in front of her without hesitation, a surge of inexplicable courage welled up from the bottom of her heart.

She can no longer hide behind Kiana.

"She is not your possession!" Mei, holding onto the edge of the bed, struggled to her feet. Looking at the queen who looked exactly like her, she mustered her courage and said, "I am Raiden Mei!"

"Oh?" Upon hearing this, the Thunder Queen turned her head with interest, looking at her own reflection as she tried to straighten her back. "With your weak appearance, you can't even protect yourself, yet you want to protect others?"

The mockery on her face deepened: "Don't joke around. Without me, you are nothing."

"Even so!" Mei's eyes were brimming with tears, but her gaze was exceptionally firm. "I will not let you hurt Kiana! I will not let you hurt my friends!"

"What a touching declaration." The Thunder Queen chuckled, but deep within her phoenix eyes flashing with purple lightning, a barely perceptible fluctuation seemed to flicker.

"Alright, you two." Gu Ye's voice rang out at the right moment, breaking the standoff between the two "selves." "You won't get anywhere arguing. You are one entity, there's no need to act like enemies."

He looked at the Thunder Queen and said calmly, "You are strong, that's undeniable. But right now, you are like a peerless sword drawn from its sheath, sharp and powerful, but also prone to hurting yourself and those who wield you."

He then looked at Mei: "And you are the scabbard. Your gentleness and kindness are not weakness, but the only vessel that can contain this overwhelming power."

The Queen of Thunder remained silent; she did not refute.

“Now, come back first,” Gu Ye said. “You need time to adapt to this body, and she also needs time to accept you.”

The Thunder Queen snorted coldly, giving Gu Ye one last deep look before glancing at Kiana, who was blocking the way in front of the bed.

"Hmph, remember what you said."

As soon as she finished speaking, her magnificent yet ferocious battle armor transformed into countless purple specks of light, and along with her entire figure, it receded like a tide, eventually merging back into Mei's body.

The oppressive feeling in the room vanished instantly.

Mei's body went limp and she almost fell, but Kiana caught her quickly.

Only the last echo of that cold and arrogant voice remained in the air.

"Next time, if I see her cry again, I won't let it go so easily. Also, men, call me Your Majesty!"

Chapter 25 Mei gets kicked off the bed by Kiana

The terrifying, domineering aura receded like a tide, and the stagnant air in the living room began to flow again.

The tense nerves suddenly relaxed, and everyone breathed a long sigh of relief.

No one wanted to be enemies with the Queen of Thunder anymore, especially after learning the truth that she and Mei were originally one.

Just then, Raiden Mei's body trembled slightly.

She closed her eyes, as if sensing something.

A brand new, powerful yet gentle force awakens and flows within her.

She tentatively guided the power outward, and in an instant, a figure quietly appeared behind her.

The figure was exactly the same as the Thunder Queen from before, with the same fiery battle armor, the same ferocious dragon arms, and the same two horns on her forehead.

The only difference is that the domineering purple lightning in the eyes of this body is gone, leaving only an empty void, like a beautifully crafted but soulless doll.

"Wow! She... she's out again?" Kitagawa Kaimu's exclamation broke the silence.

Her eyes lit up instantly, sparkling with the excitement of seeing something new, and her body instinctively wanted to lean forward and examine it closely.

But she stopped abruptly after taking a step, the image of the Thunder Queen's haughty demeanor and sarcastic words flashing through her mind, making her shrink back in fear.

"No, it seems a little different." Mei's voice carried a hint of uncertainty, but more so a sense of novelty and joy. She raised her right hand, and the doll-like stand behind her raised its right arm in sync.

"I think... I can control her now."

To verify her idea, Mei had another thought.

A thin arc of purple electricity crackled from the dummy's fingertip, standing out starkly in the dimly lit living room.

"Really! That's amazing!" Kitagawa Kaimu's worries were immediately replaced by curiosity. Her eyes widened as if she were watching a special effects scene from a science fiction movie. "Mei, are you like a superpowered person in an anime now?"

"Yes!" Mei nodded emphatically, a genuine smile spreading across her face. "This feeling... is truly wonderful. I now possess the power to protect everyone."

She clenched her fists tightly, feeling a sense of fullness she had never experienced before—a sense of security that allowed her to control her own destiny.

"Is this a product of the combination of the power of the Herrscher of Thunder and the power of the Stand?" Gu Ye had been quietly observing from the side. At this moment, he stroked his chin and spoke thoughtfully, "I didn't expect that the Stand Arrow and the Herrscher Core could actually produce such a synergy."

He turned to Mei, his expression turning serious: "However, I'm still very curious, how did you get injured by the arrow? I clearly used the power of 'Weather Forecast' to set up a barrier around the necklace. Theoretically, unless you actively become a Herrscher, it shouldn't be possible to break through that defense."

"I...I don't know either." Mei tried hard to recall the scene, describing it somewhat embarrassedly, "I just saw that necklace and felt a very special impulse, so I couldn't help but reach out and touch it. Then it felt like my finger was pricked by something sharp, and I can't remember anything after that."

"What?! You took all the precautions, but you still made the atmosphere so tense before, it scared me to death!" Kitagawa Haimu pouted in dissatisfaction after hearing this, walked to Gu Ye's side, and poked his arm with her finger. "I thought something would happen if I touched him."

“Isn’t there Mei’s example right in front of us? How was I supposed to know it would be such a coincidence?” Gu Ye rolled her eyes at her and replied irritably, “I just wanted to take the necklace out to air it out, who would have thought that someone would actually be unable to resist going up to it and getting caught in the trap.”

"No matter what, I guess I've turned misfortune into blessing." Mei looked at the stand-in behind her who had the exact same appearance and figure as her and was full of feminine charm. She then turned her head and glanced at the "weather forecast" made of blue and white mist floating next to Gu Ye.

A pure curiosity surfaced on her face, and she couldn't help but ask, "But Gu Yejun, I have a question. Why are our stand-ins... so different in style?"

This question seemed to strike at Gu Ye's sore spot in an instant.

His lips twitched almost imperceptibly, and his expression shifted in a split second from contemplation to envy, and then from envy to a mixture of deep resentment and indignation.

He practically blurted out the answer, his voice laced with accusation: "That's exactly the question I wanted to ask! Why is your stand-in such a beautiful woman, while mine is just a cloud! A cloud! I want a two-dimensional anime girl as my stand-in too!"

Gu Ye waved his hand, and a long yawn uncontrollably spilled from the corner of his mouth: "Alright, let's rest first. I've been up all night, and I'm sleepy too."

His suggestion was immediately accepted; the continuous battles and intense mental strain had already exhausted the group of girls.

Raiden Mei went upstairs and checked each of the guest rooms. A moment later, she came downstairs with a hint of apology.

"I'm sorry, everyone. Due to the thunderstorm just now, the windows of two guest rooms are broken and the circuit is short-circuited. There are only three rooms available now."

"Then I'll have a room to myself, I don't think there will be any objections, right?" Gu Ye shrugged matter-of-factly, his gaze sweeping over the women present. "I don't mind who I share a room with, but I think you're not that open-minded."

"Tch, who wants to live with you?" W leaned against the wall, arms crossed, and pouted.

She had originally planned to watch TV to pass the time, but the screen of the brand-new, large-screen LCD TV in the living room was cracked and hissing black smoke.

"I don't care, you guys choose first. I can sleep anywhere."

"I want to share a room with Mei! I have to share a room with Mei!" Kiana was the first to jump up, like a little animal declaring its territory, she grabbed Mei's arm and rubbed her head against Mei's soft embrace.

Bronya didn't say anything, but silently walked forward and stood on the other side of Mei.

Her actions have said it all.

"Three people in one room? That sounds interesting! Like a girls' pajama party!" Kitagawa Kaimu's eyes lit up, seemingly very interested in the arrangement. "It's not a bad idea, I don't mind."

“Then it’s decided.” W interrupted their discussion, walked straight to the stairwell, and chose the room furthest from Gu Ye. “I’ll sleep in this one. Goodnight.”

Seeing this, Gu Ye didn't bother to say anything more. He waved to everyone, went upstairs, pushed open the door to his own room, and threw himself heavily onto the soft bed.

Just as Gu Ye was drifting off to sleep, a soft but persistent knocking on the door pulled him back to reality.

"Knock, knock knock."

He scratched his head in frustration, got out of bed, and groggily walked over and opened the door.

The person standing outside the door instantly sobered him up.

Raiden Mei stood awkwardly at the doorway. A clear footprint was visible on her fair and delicate left cheek, making her look both comical and pitiful.

She covered her lower abdomen with one hand, and instinctively covered her face with the footprints with the other, her eyes filled with helplessness and a hint of pleading.

“Um… Gu Yejun,” she said softly, with a hint of embarrassment, “could we…could we spend the night with you? Kiana…she’s so restless when she’s sleeping.”

She seemed to recall some unpleasant experience, and her lips twitched slightly. "I had just finally fallen asleep when I was hit hard in the stomach. I had just woken up and hadn't even had a chance to speak when another foot was pressed directly onto my face."

She sighed, "I'm really afraid that if I stay any longer, she'll kick my teeth out."
