St. Freya Academy has produced many talented individuals, and has defeated and sealed away numerous demons despite making terrible sacrifices.

However, if we exclude the achievements of the heroes, there is no record of humans killing demons to date.

This was the first time Lysty had ever heard of a demon being an extremely dangerous individual.

They portrayed the infamous demon as someone who could be killed or captured at will.

This is a wealth that only the brave possess.

"What do you mean by bringing this up now?"

Vina knew that Jessica wouldn't speak without reason; since she specifically emphasized it, it meant that the demons who were originally sealed away were now stirring again.

"Is this time bomb about to explode?"

"Yes, so I need to hurry up and find a successor."

Jessica sat up straight and extended an invitation to the two of them: "You don't mind if I drag you into this mess right now, do you?"

“That depends on whether you’re hiding anything from us,” Wiener replied.

“I promise to tell you everything I know.” Jessica smiled slightly.

Chapter 139 The Hero's Message

"You said you discovered the shadow of a demon, what exactly?" Vena asked.

"Vorhos, the Sky Demon".

Jessica gave a name.

"The demons in the dungeon have all been subjected to multiple seals to limit their power."

"These seals are like marks on them; as long as they remain within the dungeon's boundaries, they have nowhere to hide."

“But are there exceptions?” Wiener asked.

"That's right, it's the Void Demon I just mentioned. He can weave a spatial barrier to envelop himself and deceive the tracking system, thus infiltrating other levels."

"Why didn't we just kill this troublesome demon when we caught him?" Vena couldn't help but question.

“Uh…” Jessica’s face showed a rare hint of embarrassment.

"Because the teacher said he could stay and let me practice, the hero cut off his four arms, blinded his two eyes, and crippled most of his strength before throwing him into the dungeon."

Well, so you're the real culprit.

“My emblem is similar to his talent in some ways. I have fought him nine times since he was sealed away.”

"The first time I was seriously injured and escaped. The second time I was seriously injured and he lost an eye. The third time I was seriously injured but I replaced one of his arms. The fourth time it was a draw. After that, I won every time."

“This time I took out one of his eyes and both of his arms, and he ruined one of my clothes.”

As she spoke, Jessica pulled a palm-sized lion cub from her chest and placed it on the table.

It seemed rather listless, lying on the table too lazy to move, and its fur was bald in patches, making it look pitiful.

"This little guy that my junior gave me has been a huge help this time."

After suffering repeated defeats at Jessica's hands, the Sky Demon dared not fight her again. Even when they did encounter each other, he would erect a barrier and flee for his life.

As long as they can escape to the seventh level of the dungeon, which is the territory of the demons, Jessica should not recklessly pursue them.

While running away is shameful, it's useful. Without the help of the Lionheart, Jessica would never have achieved such results.

When Listy heard that the adorable creature before her was not as beautiful as it seemed, she tenderly embraced it.

The lion cub, which had been too lazy to move, suddenly began to struggle and kept turning its head to look at its owner.

Listy thought it had been frightened by being suddenly in the hands of strangers, and kept trying to comfort it.

Vina, standing to the side, saw it all clearly. The little lecherous lion's gaze was obviously fixed on something Jessica possessed that Listy did not.

Wiener wisely withdrew his gaze and said, "Then he shouldn't dare to make any rash moves in the short term."

"That's what I thought too. Even a demon wouldn't have an easy time recovering from this injury."

"But based on what I know about him, it's impossible that he would risk getting a beating just to take a walk in the shallower areas. So I followed his escape route back to the second level of the dungeon, and sure enough, I found something."

"Besides Vohors, there is another unrecorded demon that appeared on the second floor of the dungeon."

If it were just Vohors bringing another demon to the lower levels of the dungeon for a stroll, it wouldn't have attracted Jessica's attention so much.

But an unrecorded demon has a completely different meaning.

The most urgent task at hand is to find out the origin of this demon.

If the demon entered the dungeon from the outside, how did he manage to bypass the academy's barrier, and what was his purpose in going to such lengths to enter the dungeon?

If it's a demon that has spontaneously evolved within a dungeon, that would be an even more dangerous sign.

In the worst-case scenario, she would have to notify the teacher and the hero to return and re-examine the seal at the bottom of the dungeon.

The demons captured from the outside and sealed in the dungeon are usually severely injured. Just resisting the suppression of the dungeon consumes a lot of magic energy, and there is almost no possibility of recovery.

However, a new demon evolved according to the rules of the dungeon is unlikely to be effectively suppressed by the dungeon alone.

It must be found and the seal reapplied.

"The aura left by this demon was very faint, almost completely concealed by Vohors. So I speculate that Vohors's actions were just to cover for this demon."

“Then that altar we encountered—” Vena said thoughtfully.

"Professor Hannemann has investigated and confirmed that it was the work of a demon. That blood sacrifice formation can help the recipient increase their strength for a short period of time."

"So you guys are really lucky to have survived, managing to escape unscathed after just a few moments in front of those two demons."

"I have proposed to the academy that we temporarily suspend the opening of the dungeon to ordinary students. Apart from the Black Eagles class, which is currently on an expedition, we should dispatch elites from the other three classes to conduct a thorough search of the first three levels and find out the whereabouts of that demon." Jessica truthfully revealed her plan.

"So, are we now considered members of the Silver Wolf Class?" Viner asked.

The other three houses besides the Black Eagles naturally include the Silver Wolf House.

But there are only a few people in the Silver Wolf Class, so wouldn't we have to bring them all along?

“If I say yes, then you naturally are,” Jessica replied with an air of authority.

"What, you want to join the exploration team too?"

“That’s not what Vina meant,” Lisette quickly interjected, trying to smooth things over.

"That's not the point. I can see that you've learned a lot from this experience; you just need to consolidate your gains to take it to the next level."

"In terms of strength, you've reached about the average level of second-year students, but you're far behind in terms of experience. I won't let you participate in this kind of operation for the time being."

"As for the rest, I alone am enough to represent the Silver Wolf Class."

After uttering that last sentence, Jessica's entire demeanor changed completely.

That is the pride of the Silver Wolf Class Guardians.

Normally, if the class leader and his underlings made such a statement, the next thing to happen would probably be that Jessica would be terrified, and Viner and the other two would immediately bow down in respect.

Unfortunately, they ran into Viner, a guy who had just joined the Silver Wolf Class and had no sense of belonging.

"That's not what I meant at all. I would refuse if you wanted to include me in the expedition team."

Without his blunted cleaver, Viner could only serve as a punching bag at best, and wouldn't bother with the commotion.

Whether the next step is to go to the dungeon or something else, it has to wait until he is fully prepared.

“What I want to ask is about the hero,” Vena said frankly.

Jessica had previously made excuses, saying that she would only be qualified to know about the Hero after joining the Silver Wolf House, which led to the subsequent test.

Now is the time for her to fulfill her promise.

"You seem quite impatient, junior. Well, I wonder where you plan to start asking?"

"I want to know—whether the heroes of today come from Rumiel Village."

Chapter 140 Arios

"Didn't you already guess that, junior?"

Jessica responded with a smile.

The answer was already revealed in her smile.

"This is no laughing matter; I must hear it from my senior in person."

Wiener's tone, however, carried an undeniable seriousness.

"They're quite meticulous. That's right, the modern-day hero was indeed born in Rumir Village."

Jessica dispelled the last vestige of confusion in Viner's mind.

Only Lisette was completely confused.

"So where is Lumiel Village?" Lisette asked, looking puzzled.

As a citizen of the allied nation of Stana, her knowledge of the Kingdom of Fargas was limited to some iconic cities, and she was naturally unaware of the existence of Lumir Village.

Even among the locals of the kingdom, very few people knew the location of such an obscure little village.

“A small village on the border of the Kingdom of Fagas, so remote it couldn’t be more remote,” Jessica explained.

"In a few decades, it should become famous, after all, it's the hometown of heroes."

"So you already knew, didn't you? The hero and I are from the same village."

Wiener recalled the slight change in Dr. Ada's expression when she first entered the academy after hearing that he came from Lumir Village.

Many of the incongruous parts now make sense.

“Huh?” Listy exclaimed in shock.

Since Vena and the hero come from the same village, doesn't that mean Vena has met the hero?

Why didn't you tell me you'd met the Hero?

In a fit of rage, Lissti punched Vina in the knee, the blow nearly making Vina cry out in pain.

"I had no idea that the little brat who left the village would become a hero!"

"You were the little brat when the hero was active!"

The brave warrior left the village five years earlier than Vina, and the age difference between them was roughly the same.

However, Wiener believed he had lived two lives and unilaterally regarded the other person as a little kid.

Either break through that level or become a great mage, otherwise you'll be nothing more than a little kid until you die.

"The hero Arios came to St. Freya Academy alone five years ago, with only two swords with him."

Jessica was unaffected by their playful banter and continued her introduction.

"He was actually late when he arrived at the academy. Although the quota had not been filled, there were not enough people left for him to complete the assessment."

“If Arios hadn’t stubbornly refused to leave, forcing the proctor to give him a chance, he probably would have missed out on St. Freya Academy,” Jessica recounted.

"That proctor was quite nice," Liss nodded in approval. "What did he get the hero to do?"

“If you can withstand ten moves from him, you’ve passed the test,” Jessica replied.

It's called an opportunity, but in reality, it's meant to make the other party give up. Anyway, given Arios's age, waiting another year won't hurt.

That's what that teacher thought back then.

So he was careless and didn't dodge.

"Everyone thought Arios would back down, but to everyone's surprise, he agreed without hesitation."

“With just one move,” Jessica said, holding up one finger, “he defeated the proctor.”

"As expected of the Hero."

Hearing about the hero's achievements in enrolling in the academy, Lisette's eyes were practically sparkling.

However, Wiener was long past the age of being interested in this kind of "playing dumb to fool others" scenario.

"And then?" Wiener asked.

"After that, he joined St. Freya Academy," Jessica said matter-of-factly. "Arios enrolled as the last-place student in the Arena."
