I dreamt that I was being swallowed by a gigantic slime, and the whole world was teetering on the brink of destruction.

This dream was so real it was suffocating, like I had experienced it myself.

But all of that is in the past now.

The hero perished alongside the demon god, and the continent of Fódóra was finally freed from the threat of the demon race, ushering in a long-awaited peace.

Following the hero's "last wish," the statues erected in his memory have blurred his face.

Only the holy sword in his hand was carved with exceptional clarity, and the name "Escuda" was engraved on it.

Even a hundred years from now, when people have forgotten the hero's name, they will probably never forget this holy sword that saved the world twice in the hands of the first and last heroes.

After the war, St. Freya Academy was rebuilt, and the new headmistress was Jessica, one of the heroes who defeated the demon god.

However, this academy, which was once known for training military personnel, has now turned to the field of people's livelihood.

The new curriculum focuses on teaching how to use magic and magical tools to improve life, covering everything from agriculture to industry.

"Today is my last class at St. Freya Academy, so remember to write it down."

Professor Viner, a specially appointed professor at St. Freya College, is explaining his latest design drawings to the students in the audience.

"This magical artifact is called a tractor. It can double the current capacity for tilling and sowing..."

When the bell rang, Venere packed up his teaching materials and prepared to leave, but a bold student stood up and asked, "Professor Venere, I heard that the weapons used by the Dean, Lord Felix, and the entire Hero Squad against the Demon God were all forged by you?"

“That’s true.” Viner nodded, waiting for him to continue.

"But why isn't the weapon you forged used by the hero?"

Upon hearing this question, Wiener paused for a moment, then revealed a complex smile.

"Because weapons have their limits. Even if a hero wants to cultivate the land, he will have to rely on these agricultural magical tools that I give you, not the holy sword."

The student who asked the question was clearly dissatisfied with the irrelevant answer.

Ten years ago, he was hailed as a master craftsman and forging master, but now he is single-mindedly tinkering with scrap metal.

It's not that the civilian magic system that Vener has improved has any flaws, but as a hero of the human race, such a huge change must have some hidden story.

The student, knowing this was Professor Wiener's last class and he would never have the chance to lose credits again, mustered his courage and asked, "Could it be that there's some flaw in the weapon you forged that the hero disliked?"

This statement seemed to have hit a nerve with Wiener.

"That's nonsense! There's absolutely no problem with the weapons I forged!"

(End of book)

P.S.: I'll leave the author's closing remarks for tomorrow.

Final remarks

I originally planned to take a nap before writing, but I couldn't wait any longer, so I'll finish it now.

...............

On May 22, 2024, the first chapter of "The Weapons I Forge Are Absolutely Perfect" was uploaded.

The book was completed on May 25, 2025.

A whole year.

When I typed the words "The End of the Book," it still felt quite unreal.

If it weren't for the editor, Xuebi, pulling a fast one, I never imagined that this book, which failed to get a contract after only 50,000 words, would actually grow to 1.5 million words.

I also want to thank Orange Mom. Even though the updates were unstable this month and I lost all my readers, she still gave me a long recommendation.

Of course, most importantly, I want to thank all the readers who have accompanied me here.

This is my second novel. When I wrote the first one, I had just quit my job and was at home. It happened to coincide with the public beta of Honkai Impact 3rd, and since I had nothing better to do, I took advantage of the hype and wrote 470,000 words to finish it.

I had absolutely no experience at the time, and it was all on a whim. As a result, after writing 470,000 words and finishing the plot I wanted to write, my mind went blank, so I just ended it.

So when I was writing my second book, I set a goal for myself: to write a million words.

Only after writing a million words can one truly understand how difficult it is to keep a long story from falling apart.

In addition, due to various events that occurred along the way, there were indeed several parts of the plot that were handled poorly, making it difficult to follow along.

Even many readers who had been actively supporting me left halfway through.

This is all my own fault, and I would like to apologize to those readers who left halfway through the book.

The lessons learned here will surely be applied to the next book.

I'm not afraid of being laughed at, but before uploading this book, I happily prepared a 100,000-word draft.

I thought that if the results were good, I would start offering a reward when the book was published.

The result was a private message from the website stating that the contract had not been approved.

Looking at the almost untouched draft, I gritted my teeth and thought that since I had already written so much, I should at least finish uploading what I had written and leave an ending.

When I had 80,000 words left in my draft, I received news that my contract had been approved.

Since the editor has given me this opportunity, I must finish this book no matter how bad the results are.

From 664 favorites and 81 average subscriptions when it was first published, it has now grown to 18,000 favorites and 2,000 average subscriptions.

One and a half million words, no talent, just perseverance.

Without the support of all my readers and fans, I definitely wouldn't have been able to persevere until now.

I am not a full-time author. In fact, during the serialization of this book, I worked three probationary periods and changed jobs four times before finally settling down recently.

The drafts I originally intended to use for the bounty have long been used up by various miscellaneous tasks. (laughs)

But one thing I'm proud of is that, during the twelve months of the book's serialization, excluding the month when the contract wasn't approved and the last month, I received perfect attendance for all the other months.

I've been reading novels on Maomao for ten years and have witnessed countless novels being abandoned halfway through, including many works that were ten times better than this one.

Based on this alone, I suddenly felt that I was quite capable.

(??????)

After praising myself, let's talk about the new book.

A year-long serialization, coupled with a job change, made me give up all mobile games except Hearthstone, and I almost never touched PC games either.

This isn't about playing the victim; it's just about showing that the feeling of seeing your work gradually gain recognition is more powerful than any stimulant.

But my disrupted sleep schedule and ever-increasing weight told me I needed to take a break.

I plan to take a break for one to two months, get a gym membership, and work on losing weight in my spare time. During this time, I will also prepare for my new book, which I expect to release at the end of July.

This is an idea I've been wanting to write since I started serializing this book, and I've done some preparation here and there.

The theme remains Japanese Western fantasy, but this time it's a relatively niche fan-made world.

This time, I will challenge the Five Tigers of Hedgehog Cat with a more complete outline and more stable updates.

I hope to receive everyone's support for my next book.
