Daphne also saw Roy and Liu, and silently lowered her head, her eyes dim and lifeless.

Seeing the fully armed Apollo clan, Roy asked, "Are you also going to fight Goliath?"

"So what?" Hyacintos forcibly shifted his gaze away from Gale.

Roy curled his lip. There was actually a group of people trying to steal experience points. The floor master, Goliath, was equivalent to a defense-specialized Lv.4 monster. The LV.3 Hyacintosh with a dozen or so LV.2 members could probably defeat it.

At this moment, Hyacintos and the others seemed to realize that Roy and Ryu had also come to fight Goliath.

This made the atmosphere a little awkward.

It's not surprising that they bumped into each other here. After the adventurers defeat Goliath, they report the information to the guild, and the other adventurers can accurately predict when to defeat him again based on Goliath's regeneration time.

Both groups of people had their eyes on this point.

Monsters' magic stones and dropped materials are quite valuable. In dungeons, adventurers often compete for monsters, and it comes down to who has the bigger fist.

As for splitting the profits equally?

That's impossible. They can defeat it all by themselves. Why should they share half of the prize they've already got?

On the surface, Roy's side has a Level 4 Ryu, but since the Apollo Familia dared to attack a Level 4 Goliath, they obviously wouldn't be afraid of Level 4.

This is not the same unexpected encounter as before.

Hyacinthus brought all the elite of the Apollo Familia, fully equipped and ready for battle.

If the two sides were to actually fight, the outcome would be unpredictable.

 Rumble!

The two sides were deadlocked, but time would not wait for them. With a roar, the ground shook, the white walls swayed, and cracks appeared all over the surface of the walls.

The walls shattered, and rubble crashed down. A small giant emerged from it, reaching a total height of seven meters, far exceeding the size of other monsters. It was arguably the largest dungeon monster Roy had ever seen.

Needless to say, the members of the Apollo Familia wore expressions of varying degrees of shock.

Ryu's expression remained calm; he had been defeated by his former companions several times before and was no longer surprised.

The owner of the seventeenth floor—Goliath!

Roy shouted to the other side, "Yacintos, one minute each. We'll each have one minute. Whoever can take down Goliath gets to keep him."

Hyacinthus pondered for a few seconds, then quickly made a decision, "Alright, but we'll go first!"

“Okay!” A strange light flashed in Roy’s eyes.

 "All troops, charge!"

 With a command from Yacintos.

The members of the Apollo Familia rushed forward. They had also heard Hyacinthus and Roy's agreement: they only had one minute. Time was of the essence, and the task was urgent!

The lineup distribution was already clearly arranged before it was even announced.

Three or four vanguards raised their heavy shields and charged towards Goliath's front.

The center-backs collectively rushed forward to besiege Goliath.

The magician hiding in the back began chanting a spell, and there was also a healer at the very back of the group.

They even assigned several defenders to guard against any unexpected situations, mainly keeping an eye on Roy and Liu, but if the two really went on the field, the opponent couldn't stop them.

"Do you think they can take it down within a minute?" Roy asked Ryu, his voice low.

Ryuten's blue eyes swept over the members of the Apollo Familia. The lineup was very complete, but they lacked experience in dealing with Goliath. If the time limit was one minute, "there's a 30% chance of success."

Roy smiled with satisfaction. As long as this group couldn't kill Goliath instantly, he was relieved.

 boom! boom! boom!

The vanguard stands at the front, allowing the back row to unleash devastating attacks.

The Apollo Familia's magic squad unleashed their spells in unison, unleashing supernatural forces such as mudslides, flames, and hurricanes upon Goliath.

Goliath's skin was charred black from the blast.

Goliath lived up to his reputation as a defensively specialized floor master, withstanding more than a dozen spells with only minor scratches. Ordinary swords and blades could not leave a mark.

The main force is undoubtedly the LV.3 Hyacintos.

"My name is Love, darling of light. I dedicate this body to my sun! My name is Sin, jealousy of the wind. I summon a gust of wind to descend upon this body! I hurl my fiery wheel! Come, western wind! Crimson radiance!"

 "Otherworldly Pheroros!"

Hyacinthus chanted a spell aloud, and a huge halo of light appeared in his palm, radiating intense heat. He then hurled the halo towards Goliath.

 boom!

The halo swept through the air, and Goliath raised his hand to block it. A piercing sound rang out, like a chainsaw, severing one of the little giant's arms, which fell heavily to the ground and turned into dust.

Hyacinthus looked grim; he had failed.

Goliath seemed to be enraged as well. His originally black eyes turned blood red, and he swept his other hand across, sending the vanguard of the Apollo Familia flying.

Many stones fell into the ranks of mages, screams rang out, and many were injured as a result.

Hyacintos shouted at the healer at the back of the group, "Hurry up and heal them! What are you doing?"

As a newcomer, and only at LV.1, Daphne did not join the battle, but instead protected the team's healer, Cassandra.

Hearing Hyacinthus's reprimand, the timid blue-haired girl was so frightened that she could barely hold her staff, and her eyes were filled with fear as she looked at Hyacinthus and Goliath.

 "Time's up, change of players!"

Just then, Roy's voice rang out.

A minute is neither short nor long. Despite their best efforts, the Apollo Familia clearly could not defeat Goliath, the floor master with specialized defenses.

Hearing Roy's suggestion to replace him, Hyacintos protested, "You can't do this! We've already severely damaged Goliath; this is stealing a monster!"

Look at Goliath over there, he's lost an arm, his body is covered in wounds, and he's already bleeding profusely.

How could Hyacinthus and the Apollo Familia be willing to let Roy and his group get away with this for nothing?

 "An agreement is an agreement!"

Roy laughed, "It's not like I told you to go first. And if we can't defeat Goliath within a minute, you can keep going."

Hyacinthus laughed in anger, "Nonsense, the Astrea Familia has a Level 4 Gale."

Roy changed the subject, "Or... do you want to break the agreement and fight us first?"

Hearing the coldness in Roy's tone, Hyacinthus's expression shifted between anger and uncertainty, and he waved his hand dismissively.

 "Everyone back off."

The members of the Apollo Familia looked unwilling, but they had no choice but to retreat. Inside the dungeon, they had to obey orders no matter what, as it concerned everyone's lives.

Nobody likes someone who disobeys orders, breaks formation, or does things their own way.

"If it weren't for Lord Apollo's favor, I would have killed you all!" Hyacintos looked coldly at Daphne and Cassandra. In his opinion, if the treatment was timely, they could succeed in their conquest.

Cassandra was too timid to speak.

Daphne's face was displeased, her resentment towards the Apollo Familia had reached its peak, and she was actually willing to put her hopes on the two newcomers.

"Commander, we put in a lot of effort."

 Many members complained to Yacintos.

"Don't rush, it's still uncertain who will defeat Goliath." A sinister glint flashed across Hyacinthus's face.

When it was Roy and Ryu's turn to complete their one-minute strategy, the entire Apollo Familia withdrew, their eyes fixed on the magic stone clock, determined not to let Roy use even a second more.

Roy grinned maliciously as he drew the greatsword hanging on his back. It was the Giant Slayer sword, which he rarely used; the heavy sword had no edge, making it seem like a blunt weapon.

This equipment has a very special effect: it deals more damage to larger monsters, while the damage decreases for smaller monsters.

The upper limit is epic level, and the lower limit is low level.

Roy and Ryu attacked Goliath from both sides.

Ryu's swift speed allowed her to arrive first, attracting Goliath's attention. Her golden figure moved rapidly, like a phantom, and engaged Goliath in a fierce battle.

Goliath couldn't catch the agile Ryu at all.

Roy appeared behind Goliath, raised the Giant Slayer sword high, and swung it down at Goliath's back.

As Goliath's slash came, the Giant Slayer seemed to sense something; its previously blunt blade became sharp, gleaming with a cold, icy light.

Roy gripped the hilt of the sword tightly with both hands, channeling all his strength into it, and the blade ripped through Goliath's rough skin, revealing the muscles beneath.

The wound was so deep that the magic stone inside could be seen.

 "Roar!"

Goliath let out a mournful cry, took a step forward, staggered, and almost fell.

Seeing this, the members of the Apollo Familia were displeased. They didn't know the special effects of the Giant Slayer, so they assumed that they had crippled Goliath, which was why Roy could break through Goliath's defenses so easily.

Goliath turned his head, about to attack Roy, when a golden afterimage swept past his feet.

 Bang!

Ryu slashed Goliath's heel, sending the latter crashing to the ground.

"Charge, Thunder Spear! I, in the name of the Agent, hereby command this! My name is the Overlord of Thunder, the Incarnation of Thunder, the Master of Thunder—"

Roy planted the Giant Slayer in the ground and began chanting rapidly, golden electricity surging from his palms.

Ryu couldn't help but glance at Roy. What was going on? After fighting together for a week, how could she not know that Roy's magic was incantationless?

Roy pretended to chant an incantation, and as he finished, the golden lightning in his palm transformed into two spears.

 "Go!"

Roy tensed his leg muscles, took a step forward, and threw out two lightning spears, which flashed past like two golden bolts of lightning.

It was precisely inserted into Goliath's eyes.

 boom!

The spear of thunder exploded with a deafening roar, leaving two bloody, charred holes in Goliath's eyes, with the surrounding crackling electric snakes seemingly still tearing at it.

As Roy and Liu were about to kill Goliath, Hyacinthus grew increasingly anxious. He had never felt a minute to be so long and agonizing.

Hyacinthus asked anxiously, "How much longer?"

"Commander, there are 30 seconds left."

Hyacinthus felt a chill run down his spine. There was still half the time left, enough for Roy and Ryu to kill that weakened Goliath several times over.

"No more waiting, all personnel, charge!"

Hyacinthus shouted and charged ahead. The resentful members of the Apollo Familia followed closely behind, rushing towards Goliath.

 Seeing this, Roy snorted coldly.

He knew these guys wouldn't behave.

Coincidentally, if Apollo's Familia were to defeat Goliath, Roy would certainly try to seize it as well.

In the dungeon, the trust between non-comrades is less than a pile of dung; neither side is a good person, so it just comes down to who has the more insidious methods.

 "The Wind of Light—"

Ryu's clear voice rang out. While dealing with Goliath, she had already completed her magic incantation. This was the mark of a master who knew how to chant in parallel. The Apollo Familia's magicians could only stand behind and be protected.

 boom! boom! boom!

Ryu's powerful magic at LV.4 surged forth, illuminating the surroundings, and emerald green orbs of light rained down, covering the path in which the Apollo Familia were advancing.

 Continuous explosions sounded.

The intense explosion forced the Apollo clan members to retreat, preventing them from approaching Goliath any further.

Taking advantage of this brief opening, Roy picked up the Giant Slayer sword, leaped forward, and plunged the greatsword into Goliath's abdomen through the previously torn wound.

The sword pierced the magic stone inside the opponent's body.

 Bang!

The enormous Goliath turned to dust, and the magic stone the size of an infant's head fell heavily to the ground.
