So, I've hastily ended it here. I originally wanted to write two more volumes to bring it to a proper close. But my writing skills are still a bit lacking, and I hit a roadblock when I got to the second volume, unsure how to properly balance the plot and the emotions.
In the end, I became increasingly dissatisfied with my writing because the update schedule was irregular and the intervals were large. Everyone was also keeping their books running and not leaving many posts. I can understand that, but it was my own fault.
As a result, the motivation gradually diminished, and eventually even the writer lost the will to finish writing it well.
My weakness has always been my lack of macro-narrative skills, which is why I tried writing my first original book. I always wanted to write each scene vividly, but each time I only managed to depict the form without touching the reader, and in the end, I could only give up halfway and compromise on a passable ending.
I'm so happy that everyone has persevered until now; your silent reading is also an encouragement to me.
Putting a period here is the best I can do at my current level. The next book, if I can outline the framework better, should be even better.
The main story ends here for now, but their story is not over yet, and our story will continue.
I just released a new book yesterday. You can think of this book as a prequel to Charlotte's story, since the main character has the same name.
The book title is as follows:
Do you see this as salvation?
Summary:
Charlotte.
A born wicked woman, a young girl, who loves beauty and wealth.
A renowned demon hunter, heiress killer, and mentor for good girls' life development.
In a rotten postmodern 'city', surrounded by poverty and hardship, on a world line where the future is nowhere in sight, she was destined for mediocrity, but was fortunate enough to be given a chance to choose.
Going back from the annals of history, she walks through each historical juncture in different identities, acting as a capricious witch of time and a trendsetter, changing the past that she disliked.
However, time is never generous. When she returned to the modern world with a heart full of pleasure, what awaited her was not the wealth and tranquility she had imagined.
Those "good girls" who had been saved from dire straits by her throughout history, only to be used and discarded, or who had been carefully cared for and then died vomiting blood in front of her as a form of redemption—most of them noble duchesses, devout saints, or cursed vampires—all came to the rickety door of the back alley psychological clinic as "identical beings," only to receive the same answer from the former.
"Not my type, so I'll just reject them."
"Hello, there are stories of wife-chasing hells and lifelong regrets," "If you're really not familiar with me, don't get involved," "Nemesis = Lover," "Love games are questionable."
