"award."

She walked across to the other side with her hands behind her back, pulled out a chair and sat down, Qingze's gaze following her movements.

She was wearing a hat today, which was unusual for her. A fluffy white round hat lay obediently behind her head, like a quiet cloud, making her already fair skin look even more delicate.

The white snowball earrings on her ears swayed lightly with her movements, like sparkles of light dancing in the air.

She wore makeup, and the girlish innocence faded away, replaced by a simple beauty.

A beauty that fully reveals one's already outstanding appearance and allows one to glimpse her future face, making her irresistible.

What should I do? I don't want her to be a star in the future.

I want to hide her away, to only see her myself.

Ran Mouri took off her scarf, revealing her long, fair neck.

She propped her cheek up, tilted her head slightly, and looked at him with a smile:

"Aze, why are your ears red?"

Chapter 469 Wishes Won't Come True If You Speak Them Aloud [New Year's Bonus Chapter]

"It's a bit hot with the air conditioning on."

Qingze tugged at his collar and casually turned his gaze to the table in front of him.

On the table sat a six-inch chocolate cake with a cartoon character drawn on it, and a candle burned quietly.

His gaze fell on the chibi-style figure, and his eyebrows curved into a smile.

Ran Mouri didn't look at the cake; she kept looking at him.

Qingze wore a black turtleneck sweater, the slightly fitted sweater outlining his neat shoulder and neck lines, a gray coat casually draped over the back of the chair, and a silver necklace faintly visible on his chest.

Her hair was clearly styled carefully, with a side part that revealed her clean forehead, making her eyes and brows appear exceptionally gentle.

He lowered his head slightly, looking at the cake in front of him.

The setting sun fell on him, like a thin veil, giving him a halo.

It's so beautiful, like a god descending to earth.

She took out her phone, pressed the shutter, and enveloped the cake and him together.

Qingze noticed, looked up at her, and raised an eyebrow slightly. "You took a picture of me without my permission, won't you let me see it?"

"I took the photos openly and honestly, how can you say it was taken secretly?"

Ran Mouri turned her phone screen to show him, her tone smug, "How was it? I took a good picture, didn't I?"

Qingze examined it for two seconds and nodded, "It only captured about 80% of my handsomeness."

"You're so narcissistic."

"That's true."

"Yes, yes, the photo doesn't do you justice." Looking at the narcissistic person in front of her, Ran Mouri's eyes crinkled. "Aze, you look really handsome today."

Qingze tried to suppress the upturned corners of his mouth, but failed.

"Am I not handsome normally?"

"It's the difference between simple porridge and side dishes and big fish and meat dishes."

Qingze was dissatisfied with this analogy. "Am I a dish served in a large pot?"

Ran Mouri burst out laughing:

"Yes, yes, you're not a vegetable."

Qingze snorted and turned his gaze to the cake, finding it somewhat amusing.

The cake features a cute, cartoonish figure of Qingze, sitting with his arms crossed, his cheeks puffed out in a sullen expression, and a fishing rod lying empty beside him.

"You drew this?"

"Hmm." Ran Mouri feigned smugness.

Looking at her, Qingze smiled in a somewhat wicked way.

"Stick your head over here."

Ran Mouri blinked and, as instructed, leaned her head forward a little.

Qingze reached out and gently tapped her on the forehead.

"If I can't catch any fish in the future, it's all your fault."

Ran Mouri covered her head and stuck her tongue out at him.

"Yes, yes, it's all my fault that Lord Qingze couldn't catch any fish~"

Qingze's fingers twitched slightly; he really wanted to do it again.

He took out his phone, captured a photo of the cake, and then slightly tilted the camera to point at Ran Mouri.

The candle flame flickered quietly as Ran Mouri rested her chin on her hand, her eyes sparkling as she looked at him.

"You're so photogenic," Qingze remarked, looking at the photo.

She's born to be a star.

"Show me." Ran Mouri held out her hand.

Qingze handed her the phone.

As soon as Ran Mouri opened the app, she saw the lock screen. She looked up, her smile widening. "When did you change the lock screen?"

A few days ago.

"Let me show you my phone's lock screen." Ran Mouri proudly handed him her phone.

Looking at himself sleeping with his eyes closed, Qingze raised an eyebrow slightly, "It's quite beautiful."

"It seems like we haven't taken a group photo yet," Ran Mouri remarked.

"Come sit here."

Ran Mouri got up as instructed and sat down next to Aoze. Aoze turned on the front camera and put his other arm around her shoulder.

Ran Mouri held up the cake, bringing it into the frame, and the photo captured her smile.

Qingze sent the photo to herself and then returned the phone to her.

"Now we have it."

Ran Mouri admired the photo for a while, then set it as her desktop wallpaper.

She put away her phone, glanced at the candles that were already mostly burned, and pushed the cake in front of Qingze.

"Blow out the candles, and remember to make a wish!"

Qingze stared at the ball of fire for a few seconds, then slowly closed his eyes, gently clenched his hands under the table, and whispered a wish in his heart.

Ran Mouri looked at him quietly; his eyes and brows were reflected in the candlelight, making him look exceptionally serious.

After a while, he opened his eyes, took a deep breath, and gently blew out the candle.

The flame flickered and quickly went out, leaving only a wisp of smoke slowly dissipating in the air.

"What was promised?"

“If you say your wish out loud, it won’t come true.”

Qingze mimicked her usual tone, a slight smile playing on his lips.

"You stingy person." Lan pouted, but couldn't help laughing out loud. "Then I'll make one too."

She closed her eyes, clasped her hands together, and quickly recited a phrase in her mind—

"I hope that all your illnesses will disappear and that you will be happy and joyful in the future."

She opened her eyes and saw Qingze looking at her.

"What was promised?"

"Wishes won't come true if you say them out loud."

Qingze smiled and didn't ask any more questions.

“Alright,” Ran Mouri cleared her throat and handed him the plastic knife. “Now, the birthday boy can cut the cake.”

Qingze took the knife and cut off one or two pieces of cake, one for himself and one for Xiaolan.

"What about the rest?" Ran Mouri asked, looking at the cake that was still more than half full.

A six-inch cake isn't very big, but if we eat all cake, we won't be able to eat our main meal later.

"Of course, I'll pack it up and take it with me when I leave."

Qingze put a piece of cake in his mouth, and the chocolate cream was rich and delicious.

His eyes crinkled with happiness.

My sense of taste has recovered more than before.

As the sun slowly set, golden rays streamed into the restaurant, illuminating the two people.

The steak is served, its aroma filling the air; the delicious food is in your mouth, and your loved ones are by your side.

This is roughly what happiness feels like.

After finishing dinner, Qingze put the remaining cake in the car, and walked hand in hand with Ran Mouri on the bustling street.

"What's next?"

"See a movie!"

Ran Mouri magically produced two movie tickets from behind her back and waved them in front of him.

"It's a standard date routine." Qingze took a movie ticket, looked at the movie title, but couldn't tell what kind of movie it was.

What movie is this?

"Romance film."

"As long as it's not an adult film."

Hearing this, Ran Mouri blinked and nudged him with her elbow.

"You still want to watch adult films?"

Qingze looked up at the sky and said, "I didn't say that."

He can't stand the stimulation of adult films now.

Ran Mouri narrowed her eyes. "Tell me honestly, how many of these kinds of movies have you actually watched?"

"I haven't seen many..."

"How much is considered 'not seen'?"

"How would I know? Who would bother counting these things..."

"It means it's too numerous to count." Ran Mouri's tone became somewhat dangerous.

"People don't keep track of how many meals they eat, and no one counts how many movies they watch. You're just twisting the facts."

As he spoke, Qingze shook his head and sighed, "You've changed. You used to blush when this was mentioned, but now you can directly ask me how many I've seen... The world is going to the dogs..."

Ran Mouri puffed out her cheeks, looked at his pretentious manner, and directly tickled his waist.

"Hahaha...I was wrong, I was wrong..."

The streets were bustling with people, and young couples laughed and joked, creating their own little world.

I can't say for sure how long it will be, but it should still have 50 words left. Don't worry about it ending so quickly.
