V: "I know!"

Giant jellyfish: "V, you're going to die!"

V: "Then why the hell aren't you saving me?!"

The giant jellyfish managed to hold back from uttering "fuck your grandpa" thanks to the absolute rationality of AI.

But V is V, and its program doesn't allow it to watch V die, just as V's program doesn't allow her to commit suicide.

Left with no other option, the giant jellyfish had to mobilize nanobots to improve V's body. This was originally a gradual process, but in this critical moment, the giant jellyfish had to activate an emergency plan to accelerate the process.

Fortunately, V was wearing the Heterogeneous Form, and the giant jellyfish directly drew energy from the fusion battery, allowing the nanobots to multiply rapidly and begin modifying V's body organs at a rate more than 1024 times faster than before. Just as when V was about to starve to death, it modified V's skin, allowing V to absorb energy through its skin.

V felt a surge of heat rising from his dantian, as if a little mouse was rapidly scurrying across his body, much like the protagonist in the novel Xu Ling was reading was about to break through to a higher level.

But in reality, it's a cluster of nanorobots rapidly modifying her body.

V's heart muscle became stronger, enabling it to maintain a normal beating under high gravity; her blood vessel walls also became more resilient, allowing her to supply blood to her entire body with higher blood pressure; her bones and muscles became stronger, enabling her to maintain high-speed flight for extended periods; and her brain also developed more neurons, allowing her to react more quickly and process various information during high-speed flight.

This is the advantage of biological AI: it can quickly correct itself according to the external environment.

The giant jellyfish was so tired it was almost offline: "Program improvement complete."

"Thanks," V said, thanking himself.

The giant jellyfish cautioned, "Don't be too happy yet. This high-intensity modification will put a strain on your body. It will greatly deplete your body's stored energy, indirectly causing you to lose a lot of stamina. This drawback will probably become apparent in a few hours, and you may not be able to stand up for a long time in the future."

V was indeed feeling tired, but this wasn't the first or second time she'd fought with all those debuffs, so...

"We'll deal with the future later; I'll just do what needs to be done now!"

V's eyes lit up with blue light, correcting its circuitry. The surface armor of the isomer opened and closed, spewing out streams of air, before accelerating again and speeding toward the moon.

For normal cargo launches, the ejection bay maintains a speed of 10 kilometers per second, an energy-saving mode chosen by the company to reduce costs. However, the V is tasked with military missions, where energy conservation is not a consideration.

Having entered space and improved its body organs with nanorobots, V doubled its speed to an astonishing 24 kilometers per second. The distance between the Earth and the Moon is 38 kilometers, and if calculated purely on paper, it would only take 4.44 hours to reach the Moon.

However, spaceflight must follow a Keplerian orbit, flying in an elliptical or hyperbolic path. Even if V executes intelligent orbit planning, it will still take a full 8.9 hours to fly.

Arasaka Corporation once claimed an "8-hour Moon Express," which does correspond to the current situation. However, V still felt this was too slow, so she modified the deceleration program, reducing the flight time to 6.2 hours.

The giant jellyfish warns: "Without a deceleration program, you'll crash into the moon like a cannonball!"

V curled the corners of her lips: "How about this?"

The giant jellyfish saw V's idea, did some calculations, and replied, "It's feasible."

"Then do it!"

Six hours later, the moon was within reach.

V expected to encounter fierce anti-aircraft fire, but the lunar side made no move.

why?

do not know.

But V knows very well how powerful she is. She is capable of handling any situation. She doesn't care about the reasons or the process. All she wants is the result of destroying the mass accelerator!

The moon's surface is now clearly visible.

A giant jellyfish warns: "We have entered the moon's gravitational field!"

V shouted, "Adjust angle, decrease altitude, begin lunar orbit!"

The isomer maintains a low altitude of 500 meters above the lunar surface, which is only 1737 kilometers in radius. At a speed of 24 kilometers per second, it can circle the moon in just 8 minutes.

The giant jellyfish warned again: "A low orbital speed of only 1.68 kilometers per second is needed to maintain circular motion on the moon. Your speed is too fast. The centrifugal force far exceeds the gravity. You will escape along a hyperbolic orbit and be violently thrown off the moon. You must slow down!"

V gritted his teeth: "Don't worry, I'll slow down right away!"

She looked ahead, and alongside the white dragons on Earth, a black steel dragon came into view—the mass accelerator on the moon. Humanity had initially seen it as a beacon of hope for the future, but it had unexpectedly become a scourge threatening the lives of all humankind.

"Come on, watch me sever this fate!"

V let out a very dramatic shout, and the isomer rushed forward, crashing into the mass accelerator like a cannonball, cleaving the black dragon in half!

With a deafening roar, the mass accelerator erupted from the fracture, spewing out dazzling bolts of lightning and sparks.

V herself was also dizzy from the impact, but the protection of the isomer and her superhuman physique allowed her to recover quickly.

"Report immediately!"

The giant jellyfish replied, "19 kilometers per second is still too fast!"

V shouted, "Activate the gravity field to maintain the correct orbit!"

With a "hum," the shoulder of the isomer lit up with a green light, instantly adjusting its circuitry and restoring its angle.

Artificial gravity fields were originally Arasaka's technology. Since the prosthetic body can be installed, the isomorph can naturally be installed as well.

Once its orbit was stable, V began orbiting the moon again. Nine minutes later, V circled back to the same spot and crashed into the mass accelerator once more!

The creation, embodying the pinnacle of human technology, was shattered into three pieces by the most primal attack, with countless fragments scattering into the deep universe like a shimmering ribbon.

"Wuhu!"

V felt exhilarated, let out a shout, circled the moon once more, and crashed into the mass accelerator again.

Once, twice, three times!

Not enough, the destruction wasn't thorough enough. V never took any chances, circling and crashing continuously. Each crash slowed her down considerably until, after the thirteenth crash, her speed dropped to a point where she could land. The twelve-kilometer-long mass accelerator cannon barrel was reduced to a pile of construction debris.

Boom!

The heterogeneous object crashed heavily onto the lunar surface, kicking up dust that shot straight into space.

V crawled out of the crater and walked unsteadily. She was still not used to the low gravity environment of the moon, as if she had become a child who had tried to walk in a strange way again.

"It feels like stepping on a trampoline with its elasticity set to maximum!"

V had to carefully control his strength to ensure he wouldn't fly into the air in one step; the power he was proud of on Earth became a burden on the moon.

But V didn't have time to adjust her state. She had to further destroy the fusion reactor of the mass accelerator, otherwise, given the AI's productivity, it would probably be able to build another twelve-kilometer-long cannon barrel in just a few weeks.

V pulled up the navigation map and headed towards the mass accelerator. Her goal was the control room, below which lay the fusion reactor.

Due to its extremely high strategic and economic value, the area within 20 kilometers of the Quality Accelerator is under military control, heavily guarded by the High Knights. To meet the living needs of these people, the company spontaneously extended a helping hand and built many public facilities. These facilities also require employee maintenance, and various residences have emerged as a result. Over the decades, this place has developed into a self-sufficient small town, filled with the dreamlike colors of a postmodern future.

When V entered the city, he saw not enemies, but a scene of corpses strewn everywhere.

There were ordinary civilians as well as regular soldiers of the High Knights; without exception, their eyes were charred black and their brain nerves were completely burned out.

V saw Gawain's body in front of the gate of the mass accelerator control center.

He died from brain burns like everyone else, but because he was a soldier, V found a log chip on his body.

The chip was inserted into the neural slot, and V read its contents.

Lancelot deceived us all!

We thought he was humanity's savior, but he's actually a demon who sided with AI!

I unleashed this demon with my own hands; I must stop him!

May we be victorious!

Obviously, he failed.

All life in this city is a sacrifice.

V pulled out the chip, nodded slightly to Gao Wen's corpse, and then strode into the control center.

She walked down a long corridor to the lobby.

The good news was that there was oxygen and artificial gravity indoors, and V regained a sense of groundedness. The bad news was that Lancelot seemed to be waiting for her to "walk into his trap," sitting on a high platform made of euros in the hall, with a dense network of cables behind him and his hands stained with blood.

"You killed Gawain?" V asked.

“Yes, I killed him because he tried to kill me.” Lancelot said with disgust, “He was clearly an incompetent man, he only helped me a couple of times, and yet he kept lecturing me. Who did he think he was, the leader of the High Knights? No, he wasn’t. I am the leader of the High Knights, and no one has the right to criticize me!”

"Then why did you kill other people?" V asked again.

Lancelot replied, "Because I like it."

"Fine, I've got it. You're a complete bastard," V said in a deep voice. "I'm going to beat you to death with my own hands."

“Kill me? Impossible! I admit you won two matches by a narrow margin, but I am not the same person I was before.” Lancelot stood up and said, “I abandoned the frail human body and replaced it with a more advanced prosthetic body. This is a product truly developed by AI, 20 years ahead of the most advanced human technology. V, you can’t win, but I’m willing to give you a chance. Cooperate with me, and we’ll split this world evenly, a 50/50 split!”

V laughed in exasperation: "Fine, who gets five?"

After a moment of silence, the two charged forward simultaneously, their fists colliding violently. Lancelot stood firmly, while V crashed into the wall with a thud.

The battle has begun.

Chapter 112 I Don't Want to Be Human, I'll Stop Being Human

V was a little dazed, embedded in the wall, not because the injury was too great, but because he couldn't believe he had lost the fight.

Before she could wallow in melancholy, Lancelot threw another punch, snapping her back to reality and causing her to dodge.

With a loud bang, a large hole appeared in the wall that was hit.

Giant jellyfish: "Be careful, his prosthetic body has an extremely high output."

During the conversation, V was punched again and sent flying. Lying on the ground, he coughed and complained, "You reminded me just in time!"

Lancelot descended from the sky, and V dodged with a backflip, leaving a large crater in the ground with a loud thud.

"Hahahaha! Even the famous V has a day when he has to flee in a sorry state!" Lancelot laughed wildly.

But V simply shrugged in response to the mockery.

No one is born strong. She also grew up little by little through the trials and tribulations of the streets, experiencing being beaten black and blue, and being chased and fleeing in a sorry state.

Giant jellyfish: "What do we do?"

“We’ll proceed as normal.” V hadn’t lost his fighting spirit: “I may have the strength, but my skills are still terrible. I’ve fought monsters that are way above my level before, even those with skull symbols.”

V stood up again, and Lancelot attacked once more.

But V didn't dodge anymore; instead, he lunged forward. Facing the terrifying iron fist, V spun and twisted, dodging while simultaneously delivering a spinning kick to Lancelot's head.

With a thud, Lancelot tilted his head slightly, but that was all. He retaliated with a backhand strike, but V slid in to dodge, then landed an uppercut on Lancelot's head.

Lancelot was furious and launched an even more frenzied attack, making his openings even more obvious. V skillfully dodged the punches, then leaped high into the air and delivered a powerful knee strike to Lancelot's chin.

Seeing V in mid-air, Lancelot's prosthetic body suddenly exerted force, overcoming inertia with absolute mechanical power, and forcefully raised his hand to strike upwards. However, the isomer spewed air from its sides, allowing V to adjust his posture in mid-air, dodge the attack, and take advantage of Lancelot's arm to step upwards. He then changed the isomer's thrust into repulsion, bent his right leg, straightened his left leg, and delivered a standard "Caesar kick" that struck Lancelot hard in the face.

The attack came from above, even aided by a jet propulsion system. Even Lancelot was kicked away, tumbling backward like a soda can before crashing into the wall with a loud thud.

Then Lancelot walked out of the wall as if nothing had happened.

But after taking only two steps, he felt dizzy again and had to lean against the wall for support.

Giant jellyfish: "Strange, given the strength of his prosthetic body, he shouldn't be seriously damaged."

V: "It's not surprising. The prosthetic body won't be damaged too much, but his brain is original, otherwise he wouldn't still be so stupid. Since the enemy is so powerful, let's focus our attack on his weak point. Lancelot's human head is his only weakness. I'll call this move 'Kick the cripple's bad leg'."

Lancelot clearly realized this as well. He used to always look down on this and that, but now he even looked down on himself.

“If only I had been an AI from the beginning,” he murmured.

V raised an eyebrow. She wished she were a real person, but some people preferred to be AIs.

This world is fucking insane!

Let's end this battle, because there are many things more interesting than fighting.

But V had only taken one step when he found himself "bounced" up. The isomer floated into the air like a balloon. Lancelot seized the opportunity and rushed forward, grabbed the isomer's ankle, and swung his prosthetic arm, slamming V hard to the ground.

First it went to the left, then to the right, and so on in a continuous cycle. The isomer kept beeping alarms inside, and V was also shaken and dizzy from the fall.

She finally managed to break free of the restraints, and just as she was about to do a backflip to get up, she pushed off the ground with both hands, and floated up into the sky like a balloon.

Lancelot, however, skillfully leaped into the air, moved nimbly, and slammed V to the ground with a resounding punch.

"Damn, what is this...?"

“I’ve shut down the gravity generator,” Lancelot explained. “Low-gravity combat is my domain. You’re dead!”

After saying that, he suddenly swooped down and launched a fierce attack.

V felt like she was being beaten into a ping-pong ball. She was capable of making a counterattack, but the low gravity environment distorted all her movements.
