Uta called out Luffy's name and rushed anxiously into the tavern.

Shanks suddenly announced his departure today, so she came to say goodbye to Luffy.

But her gaze swept across every corner of the tavern, yet she couldn't find Luffy anywhere.

"Oh! It's Uta! Luffy said this morning that he went to practice his new ability and wasn't at the tavern."

"Thank you, Miss Makino."

Upon hearing this, Uta thanked Makino and headed to find Luffy.

For more than three months, she spent almost every day with Luffy, so she naturally knew where he usually trained.

However, just as Uta was about to leave, the tavern door was pushed open again.

Immediately afterwards, a group of arrogant people swaggered in.

Upon seeing the newcomer, Uta's anger surged, and he frowned.

The newcomers were none other than Sig and his gang of bandits who had insulted Shanks last time.

Sieg's gaze swept across the empty tavern, and he immediately revealed a disdainful expression, saying contemptuously.

"Looks like that bunch of idiot pirates aren't here today!"

The henchmen following behind him burst into laughter upon hearing this.

"Hahaha! Those cowards must be afraid of us, they dare not show their faces here."

"That's right! Did you guys see the faces of those pirates before? They were covered in wine and didn't dare to say a word. Those guys were really useless."

"Hmph! Pirates are nothing but cowards, all they do is show off. How can they compare to us mountain bandits?"

"Hahaha... coward..."

As the bandits continued to insult Shanks, Uta clenched his fists tighter and tighter, his anger finally ignited.

"Shut up! You're not allowed to insult Shanks and the others."

Uta's sudden outburst interrupted the bandits' taunts and laughter.

Sig, who was in the lead, frowned and looked at Uta with a fierce glint in his eyes.

"Oh?! You brat, are you going to stand up for that bunch of cowardly pirates?"

"Those pirates are really cowards! They don't even have the guts of a little brat."

"Hahahaha!"

Hearing Sigurd mock and insult Shanks once again, Uta became even angrier. Gritting her teeth, she ignored Makino's attempts to stop her and shouted angrily.

"Shanks and his crew are no cowards! Shanks could take care of bandits like you with a flick of his finger."

Upon hearing this, Sieg's smile vanished instantly, his eyes filled with rage, and he said angrily.

"What did you say, brat?!"

"How dare you look down on us mountain bandits?"

"I'm a mountain bandit with a bounty of 800 million Berries. I've already killed 56 of those pirates."

"To this day, no one who has angered me has survived."

"You...you've angered me!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Sieg reached for his waist and placed his hand on his sword.

Seeing the tense atmosphere between his opponents, Uta knew he was no match for them, but he was not afraid at all.

The bandits' insults to Shanks were so blatant that she simply couldn't ignore them.

"Uta, you really are here?!"

Just as the two sides were locked in a fierce standoff, a familiar voice suddenly came from outside the door.

"Shanks!!"

Uta exclaimed in surprise.

With Shanks around, they'll definitely be able to teach these bandits a lesson this time.

The bandits naturally heard the sounds behind them.

A group of people filed out and confronted Shanks and his crew.

Sieg looked at Shanks and the others with disdain and mocked them.

"Heh! What? You bunch of cowards, have you come here to die?"

Shanks completely ignored Higuma, instead looking at Uta who came out of the tavern, pulling Luffy to his side, and saying with a smile.

"Uta, we've already found Luffy for you."

"If you have anything to say goodbye to, go and tell Luffy now."

"Okay, go quickly!"

"There's no time to spare; a naval ship is almost here."

Uta glanced at Luffy with a complicated expression, then at the disdainful bandits, and forcibly suppressed his anger, wanting to take this last chance to say goodbye to Luffy properly.

"Who said you can leave?!"

Suddenly, Sieg drew his long sword and blocked Uta's path.

"This brat has angered me."

"To this day, no one who has angered me has ever survived."

"If you want to help her, you'll all die here today."

As soon as Sig finished speaking, all the pirates simultaneously drew their weapons, each one brimming with confidence and looking at the "dumb" pirates opposite them with a playful expression.

At this moment, Shanks slowly stepped forward and spoke to Sieg.

"I'm sorry, my daughter has more important things to do right now. Please let her go!"

Seeing Shanks pleading with him in a humble manner, Sigurd became even more smug.

"Hahaha! Brothers, did you see that? Is this what pirates are like?"

"He's such a complete coward!"

Sieg's underlings burst into laughter.

"Hahaha! That's how pathetic pirates are. They don't even have the will to fight back when faced with a powerful opponent."

"Pirates are such cowardly beings. They're just a bunch of cool guys who only know how to show off. When it comes to a real fight, they become complete trash."

"Hahaha..."

Faced with the bandits' taunts and humiliations, Uta's anger was reignited.

However, she didn't look at the pirates, but instead glared angrily at Shanks, who remained expressionless, and loudly questioned him.

"Why, Shanks? Why didn't you fight back?"

"You could take care of these bandits with a flick of your finger, right?!"

Why keep tolerating them?

"They've already gone too far, why should we let them humiliate us?"

Uta questioned Shanks loudly, tears streaming down her face.

Shanks kept his straw hat pulled low, his expression unchanged, and said calmly.

"Because... we have no reason to intervene."

"reason?!"

Uta let out a soft "hmm".

Shanks looked up at Uta, gave her a bright smile, and continued speaking.

"These bandits are different from our Red-Haired Pirates; they're a bunch of guys without beliefs or dreams."

"We, the Red-Haired Pirates, have no reason to lay a hand on a guy like that."

"If we were to fight them just because they splashed us with wine and humiliated us, then the Red-Haired Pirates would be no different from these guys."

"Uta, you're also a member of our Red-Haired Pirates. You have no reason to lay a hand on someone like that."

Uta was stunned when Shanks finished speaking.

She simply couldn't understand the reasons Shanks gave.

On the other hand, Sieg was completely enraged by Shanks' words.

He gripped the knife tightly and slashed at Shanks.

"You bastard, how dare you say we're not worthy of your help?"

"Then you can just die!"

Uta cried out in alarm as the greatsword was about to slash down at Shanks.

"Shanks!!!"

when!

With a crisp clang of metal clashing, Sigurd's knife was knocked away by Shanks' body.

Pirates of this caliber could not possibly harm him.

Even so, it still made Uta extremely angry.

"What's wrong with you?!"

Sig was utterly shocked. He hadn't expected that the attack wouldn't pierce Shanks' body, but instead would leave his arm numb from the shock.

Unconvinced, Siegfried once again prepared to strike Shanks.

Seeing that Shanks remained unmoved, Uta finally couldn't hold back any longer.

Tears welled up in her eyes, and she roared to the sky before turning sharply to look at Luffy, who had been watching intently.

"Hey! Luffy, you weren't just saying that casually, were you!"

Luffy was stunned for a moment, not quite understanding.

"What did you say?"

Uta cried out loud.

"You said you wanted me to join your pirate crew, and that wasn't just empty talk, was it?!"

Luffy nodded upon hearing this.

"Yes! I'm serious."

"Then help me out! Help me beat these bandits to a pulp, and I'll join your pirate crew."

"But you are Xiang..."

Luffy was interrupted by an angry Uta before he could finish speaking.

"From this moment on, I am no longer a member of the Red-Haired Pirates."

“I’m different from them. I simply can’t ignore guys like that.”

"I cannot go against the will of the Red-Haired Pirates, so I am leaving the Red-Haired Pirates."

With tears streaming down his face, Uta loudly proclaimed to everyone present.

Upon hearing this, Luffy's expression immediately turned serious, and he said in a deep voice.

"I see! I understand."

After saying that, he clenched his fist.
