But among the five members of Fairy Tail, what burns fiercely in their eyes is also passion.

That's how this guild is; when something called bond surges to the top of your head, you forget everything else.

No matter what kind of opponent they are, they dare to step forward and give it a try.

They did not back down from Ximu's invitation.

Natsu was the first to rush forward.

His arm was covered in powerful flames, a fire-based dragon-slaying magic, which he blasted towards the leg of the skeletal dragon.

The skeletal dragon did not move.

It let Natsu's attacks land on its body, and the next second, the flames that should have caused massive damage sank into the rugged and ferocious body of the Bone Dragon, like magma submerged underground.

"It's been absorbed!" Natsu exclaimed in surprise.

He stood motionless, roaring to the sky, his entire body completely enveloped in flames, as if he were not a person, but a ball of blazing fire.

As if he had activated a Musou mode, his fists rained down like raindrops.

The skeletal dragon is no longer the same as it was in life; the jet-black dragon scales that once covered its body have long since disappeared.

But what replaced it was an indestructible skeleton.

Natsu's magical attacks cannot harm it; as a neutral entity, it is immune to and can absorb any magic.

The flames not only did not affect it, but instead became its nourishment, further enhancing its power.

Natsu's attacks thus became nothing more than simple punches and kicks.

How could such power possibly harm it?

Ximu looked down and smiled knowingly.

He pointed, and the Bone Dragon shuddered violently, lifting its foot to land on the arena.

The air currents surged, sending Natsu staggering backward dozens of meters, nearly tumbling off the edge of the ring.

Erza flew in from behind and caught him steadily.

"Don't be afraid. Every living thing has its weaknesses!" Her eyes scanned the skeletal dragon from head to toe.

“This dragon looks like a dead thing, so it shouldn’t be as powerful as it was when it was alive,” Gray warned, gathering frost in his palms and pressing them heavily onto the ground.

"Ice Shape, let's lay out a carpet!" Continuous ice crystals spread rapidly from his palm, covering most of the arena almost instantly.

Thick ice crystals instantly condensed beneath the feet of the skeletal dragon, attempting to firmly bind it.

However, when the Bone Dragon raised its other foot and brought it down, the ice crystals covering the arena shattered instantly into snow-white starlight that drifted into the air.

"Ice Shape, Cannon!" Gray stretched out his hand, summoning the ice points that filled the air and gathering them in front of his palm.

These icy points were reshaped, transforming into the cannon barrel he carried on his shoulder. With a gritted tooth, Gray unleashed a massive, magically charged cannonball with a deafening roar.

It was incredibly fast, crashing into the body of the Bone Dragon in an instant.

But the next second, the skeletal dragon opened its mouth and swallowed the cannonball whole.

Gray was stunned as he watched the cannonball formed from condensed magic roll into the tattered, leaky chest of the skeletal dragon.

His attack was completely absorbed without causing any damage.

"Magic doesn't seem to work on this guy!" Gray immediately realized and shouted.

The next second, he raised his leg to retreat, trying to create another opportunity to attack.

But beneath my feet, it felt as if a thousand pounds were weighing me down.

A layer of ice crystals, even thicker than before, adhered firmly to his calf, rendering him completely immobile.

"This is... Ice Shape Magic? My magic!" Gray exclaimed in shock.

He looked at the enemy, and Ximu smiled back at him, calmly pressing down his palm.

A snow-blue magic circle instantly formed, and he carried a cannon in the same ice shape on his hand.

"Bye-bye," Ximu said.

The same magical cannonballs came hurtling towards Gray's upper body, which had somehow become naked.

"Watch out!" A flash of sword light appeared as Erza stepped forward, managing to cut the cannon in half, and at the same time shattered the ice crystals beneath Gray's feet with another sword strike.

But she herself was blasted away by the force of the cannon explosion.

The battle instantly became intense, an unprecedented and arduous struggle.

Of course, this applies to Fairy Tail.

"We can't use magic to deal with this dragon; we have to think of another way!" Gray warned.

He lowered one hand, activating the Ice Shape magic, and firmly grasped a one-handed sword formed from ice crystals.

"Summon, Celestials, I beg for your help!" Behind him, Lucy held the Celestial Key and summoned the Celestials to descend.

The first to appear was the Taurus Celestial, carrying a giant axe, which landed in front of the Bone Dragon.

"Moo—, here I come!" The Taurus Celestial Spirit grunted and raised his giant axe.

But the next second, he was jolted, and the axe froze above his head.

Looking up, he saw the empty eyes of the skeletal dragon staring at him. Although there was nothing in those eye sockets, being stared at by it made him feel as if he had lost all his strength.

“Miss Lucy, it’s not that I don’t want to help you…” The Taurus Celestial Spirit swallowed hard. “Next time, you should have said it was this kind of opponent earlier!”

He shouldered the giant axe and fled off the stage in a flash.

"You rascal!" Lucy exclaimed in a panic, frantically searching through her Celestial Key.

But, to be honest, she was the mage most countered by the Bone Dragon.

Most of the Celestials she possesses, with the exception of a bastard like Taurus, are outstanding in magical attacks.

Or they're just some insignificant melee fighters.

Summoning a weapon rashly is practically providing nourishment for the enemy.

Just as Lucy was getting anxious, a dark figure shot out from her side.

It was Mirajane, who had changed her appearance and was now exuding a black, demonic aura.

Using the Receiving Magic, she entered her demon form, where her speed, strength, stamina, and all other attributes were greatly enhanced.

She charged out like a cannonball, striking the skeletal dragon in the chest. She roared and held on desperately, trying to shake the behemoth.

Of the five people present, two are S-class mages from Fairy Tail.

In the past, they were almost invincible; no matter how powerful the enemy, they always had a way to defeat them.

But today, things are completely different.

Chapter 389 The Victory or Defeat is Over

At this point in the battle, almost all five members of Fairy Tail were giving it their all.

Mirajane the Demon couldn't budge the Bone Dragon, and Erza's slashes still couldn't break through its defenses.

Such an existence seems to have been born to be invincible.

At this moment, a sense of despair finally rose in their hearts.

Their feelings as they face this skeletal dragon are perhaps no different from those of mutants facing the Sentinel robots.

With immunity to and absorption of magic, and unparalleled melee combat abilities, their prized magic is almost entirely rendered useless.

The oppressive feeling emanating from this dragon was so despairing.

Just then, Natsu suddenly looked up and had a sudden inspiration, saying, "Perhaps we should change our mind."

He looked up at Ximu atop the skull, who was also smiling and meeting his gaze.

The Bone Dragon is strong, but that doesn't mean Ximu is like this desperate creature.

Ultimately, it was nothing more than something summoned by Ximu.

"We've fallen into a trap. When facing a summoned mage, the only way is to attack the mage directly!" Gray instantly understood Natsu's thoughts.

Even if you tied them together and strengthened them a thousandfold, it would be difficult to succeed in a war of attrition against this skeletal dragon.

Ximu is the ultimate solution to all problems.

A glimmer of hope suddenly arose in their hearts.

"Oh? You finally figured it out? I thought you were going to stand there and take a beating for a while longer, hahaha." Ximu raised an eyebrow.

Before they could even finish speaking, Gray had already entered.

Ice pillars stretched out from beneath his feet, lifting him upwards. In an instant, he arrived in front of Ximu and swung his sword down with one hand.

With a clang, the ice crystal sword that Gray had just conjured shattered instantly.

Ximu glanced at his palm with a half-smile; it was a dark, iron-black color.

He already knew the Iron Dragon Slayer Magic.

They could even use it more freely and powerfully than the master of the magic.

The next moment, his wings fluttered slightly, and his entire body was covered in an iron-colored substance.

"Unfortunately, even facing me won't be so easy."

Ximu sighed, "Unfortunately, everything this big guy can do, I can do too!"

The moment he finished speaking, ice crystals condensed in his hand, transforming into a long spear which he hurled, instantly piercing Gray's shoulder and pinning him to the ground, rendering him unable to move.

He then spun around smoothly, grabbed Erza's flying sword with his iron hand, crushed it, and roared.

The sky was filled with ice crystals and iron filings, which were swept into the roar of the dragon slayer, and Erza was unstoppably sent flying until she crashed to the ground.

Upon achieving his goal, he instantly suppressed the roar of the dragon-slaying beast. He spread his arms, and dark clouds gathered in the sky in an instant, with countless raindrops falling and lingering in mid-air.

These undulating raindrops multiplied from one to many, and Westwood conjured up a tsunami out of thin air, pushing it towards the opposite side and crashing straight into Lucy.

Just a second ago, Lucy had summoned the Aquarius Celestial Spirit, an elegant-looking woman who raised her Aquarius bottle high and propelled the waves toward Westwood.

Two tsunamis collided on the arena, sending up bursts of water and sparks of silver light that shimmered disdainfully, illuminating the arena beneath the dark clouds.

But it was clear that Westwood's power was superior. The tsunami broke through the power of the Aquarius Celestial Spirit, and the opponent disappeared in a streak of light.

The floodwaters submerged the arena in an instant.

From within the water curtain, the demon Mirajane burst forth like a meteor. With one hand, she conjured a magic circle, and a beam of magical energy, swirling with dark demonic power, roared out.

Ximu grinned, pointed his finger, and a beam of light fell, turning Mirajane, who was still flying in mid-air, into a hamster, hovering helplessly in the air.

Seizing the moment when the opponent was not used to being passively controlled by magic, Ximu flapped his wings and arrived in front of Mirajane, striking down with a palm.

Mirajane exited hamster mode and crashed to the ground with a thud.

On the arena, only Ximu remained, his hands behind his back, seemingly lazily stretching his shoulders.

At his feet, five figures lay sprawled on the ground in a sorry state.

How much time has passed?

No one knew that the arena was deathly silent; you could hear a pin drop.

From the moment Ximu made his move until now, perhaps only a few minutes have passed, or perhaps only a few dozen seconds; no one can remember clearly anymore.

Everyone was awestruck by his performance and his power.

This seemingly young child possesses the power to overwhelm everything.

Even looking across the entire Kingdom of Fiore, you absolutely cannot find a mage like him.

Master of everything, crush everything.

What kind of monster is this...?

In the deathly silence of the arena, a round of applause suddenly rang out.

Zhou Lan clapped her hands with a smile, a satisfied look on her face.

Beside him, the Holy Lord also clapped along at the opportune moment.

In just two seconds, the deathly silent arena was instantly filled with applause and cheers, as if it had suddenly erupted.
