Chapter 298 My God, Lord Ximu
They rushed through the door.
A completely new and unfamiliar atmosphere enveloped Ximu.
He looked around curiously, and just as Zhou Lan had said, this was indeed another place, at least it was far from their own world.
Ximu looked at the mess in front of him; it seemed that a battle had just taken place here.
It looks like a fight broke out here not long ago.
His eyes flickered, and he looked at the two figures standing not far away.
Lucy and Natsu were also taken aback.
Suddenly, a golden door opened in front of them, and a dark figure emerged from it.
It appears to be some kind of magical life form.
"Hello." Ximu greeted the locals from the other world with great interest.
As the youngest of the eight brothers and sisters, his personality is more unconventional compared to the other demons.
In some ways, his personality is almost the complete opposite of Zhou Lan's.
As the elder, Zhou Lan is calm and elegant, while west Mu, the youngest brother, is much more lively.
"Hello?" Lucy mustered her courage and returned the greeting.
“This guy’s weird. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him before.” Natsu scratched his head.
The two felt as if they had witnessed almost all the amazing things in a lifetime today.
First, a powerful uncle, strong enough to defeat dragons, summoned an evil dragon. Then, a strange Ximu ran out of the door.
"Huh? Which uncle is it!" Lucy suddenly looked at the figure that came out of the door.
"Boss, do you know each other?" Ximu turned to look at Zhou Lan. "I can't understand what they're saying."
"We just met." Zhou Lan smiled and said casually, "I just captured the strongest person in this world to be your scapegoat."
"This kid did help out a bit," Zhou Lan said, looking at Natsu.
The other person seemed a little embarrassed by what he said, asking what kind of help it was, if even eye contact counted as helping.
The black dragon Acnologia was terrifyingly powerful; he couldn't get involved at all.
"I see." Ximu's eyes darted around, and he grinned. "Then that guy must be very happy now."
"Not bad, not bad!" Ximu looked around with satisfaction. "The air here is filled with a power that makes people want to get closer, which seems to be somewhat similar to magic."
It seems that Nishiki has a very good first impression of the world of Fairy Tail.
I don't know if it's because the magical atmosphere here is so strong, or because Zhou Lan conscripted men in this world to replace him.
Overall, this is a good thing.
However, the magical atmosphere in this world is indeed incredibly profound; even ordinary people on the street can use a few spells.
This also makes this place the perfect place for Ximu, who wants to regain his magic.
He has ample opportunity to utilize his magical talents.
After briefly expressing his satisfaction, Ximu suddenly looked at Zhou Lan.
He noticed that Zhou Lan had changed into a human form.
“Oh!” Ximu exclaimed softly, “It seems someone has forgotten to do as the Romans do.”
He grinned and said, "It's time for my favorite part: changing clothes."
As he finished speaking, his body gradually shrank, and his folded wings slowly disappeared.
In the blink of an eye, Ximu, a young boy, appeared before everyone's eyes.
He winked and his voice became younger and clearer: "Luckily, I haven't forgotten this."
Across from them, Natsu and Lucy curiously observed Ximu's appearance.
In this world, magical creatures turning into humans is not surprising at all; it happens all the time.
The two of them suddenly became curious about what Zhou Lan should have looked like.
Judging from his close relationship with Ximu, they should be of the same race.
As they thought about it, an image of Zhou Lan with wings appeared in their minds.
Zhou Lan glanced at west Mu, but he wasn't surprised that the other party had transformed into a young boy.
While it's not impossible to transform him into a burly middle-aged man or an old man, it would still feel rather awkward to call someone with that kind of appearance "brother."
I reckon Ximu himself knew that too.
The human forms of demons are all created by themselves, which allows us to glean insights into the personality and preferences of each demon.
The same principle applies to Zhou Lan's middle-aged character and west Mu's teenager.
The two, one tall and one short, one calm and one lively, looked surprisingly harmonious standing together.
"Boss, what's our first step? To rule the world?" Ximu asked eagerly, completely ignoring the outrageous ideas he was spouting.
For demons, this is commonplace.
“Of course you can, but…” Zhou Lan looked at him, “This world is something I gave you, and even I can’t pack all the magic into your head…”
“I understand, I’ll rely on myself, right?” west Mu interrupted Zhou Lan.
Zhou Lan wasn't annoyed. She nodded and said, "I will naturally lend a hand when needed."
In fact, Ximu most likely wouldn't need him.
Don't be fooled by how harmless he seems now, especially compared to his past self, he's almost ridiculously weak.
But never doubt the power and abilities of the devil.
This is a world full of magic.
The Moon Demon, Fire Demon, and Sky Demon are all skilled in using magic.
But they are definitely not magically compatible creatures, or rather, they are not that low-level.
Perhaps they are just outsiders in this world, but in their own world, they can be called the ancestors of magic.
Especially after witnessing the Dragon Slayer Magic, Zhou Lan didn't think it would be too difficult for Ximu.
"Then let me unify this world!" Ximu said excitedly.
In the long life of a demon, finding something worthwhile to strive for is already an extremely interesting thing.
Zhou Lan looked at west Mu and smiled; he could roughly understand how west Mu felt right now.
It's pretty much the same kind of fun that a max-level player would have creating a new account on a new server.
Oh no, it's that I was using a secondary account while being escorted by another max-level player.
As for dominating the server, it's only a matter of time.
"So our first step is for me to learn the language of this world." Natsu and Lucy walked towards each other.
The two looked over curiously. With Zhou Lan in front of them, they didn't think Ximu would have any ill intentions.
Moreover.
Based on Zhou Lan's previous performance, even if she harbored malicious intent, there was nothing they could do.
"Any books or anything will do," Ximu said in a devilish, foreign accent.
Natsu looked puzzled and shook his head to indicate that he didn't understand.
Lucy's mind raced. As if she had thought of something, she handed over the book that Zhou Lan had taken and then returned not long ago.
"My God, look at this girl, she's incredibly smart!" Ximu exclaimed, making an exaggerated expression.
He opened the book and glanced at the unfamiliar words on it.
"Alright, let's guess, Lord Ximu, the Demon of Heaven, how long will it take you to analyze these tadpoles?"
Chapter 299 Magic and Guilds
Ximu took the book that Lucy handed him.
And so I saw it.
He held the book in both hands, his eyes darting around as he looked at the pages.
"Oh, interesting," he exclaimed.
He then licked his fingers and pretended to turn the page. If Zhou Lan hadn't known his true nature, she would have really thought that the person in front of her was some kind of young scholar.
"Why is everyone looking at me?" After a moment, Ximu put down his book, smiled, and glanced at the people around him.
He waved his hand with youthful vigor and tossed the book to Lucy, who quickly stepped forward to catch it.
“Now I can say it again.” A smile appeared on Nishiki’s face as he addressed Lucy and Natsu, “Hello, little ones.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, several illusory magical characters popped out.
He reached out and grabbed it, rubbed it in his palm for a while, and muttered to himself, "Oh, magic!"
He has already learned it.
Zhou Lan nodded in satisfaction.
Nothing was unexpected, even though his younger brother had long forgotten all about magic.
But what is forgotten is knowledge, not ability.
Even if a top student loses their memory, they are still a top student; all they need is a suitable environment.
Fairy Tail is a perfect environment for Westwood, where magic is everywhere.
With Ximu's talent, even as a newcomer, he could easily thrive.
Having already witnessed Zhou Lan's ability to instantly learn languages and characters once, Natsu and Lucy were somewhat used to it.
These two creatures in front of me must be extraordinary beings.
Especially Zhou Lan, who was standing behind Ximu.
To be able to defeat a dragon head-on is something that cannot be found even in the entire Kingdom of Fiore.
"What exactly are you?" As if sensing Natsu's thoughts, Lucy also tentatively asked.
"Exists?" Ximu raised an eyebrow, making no attempt to hide his feelings, and said frankly, "Demons... perhaps you've heard of them."
"A demon?" Natsu and Lucy exchanged a glance, but their faces showed no surprise.
There have always been beings called demons in this world, but the demons they have seen are not as powerful as Zhou Lan's.
“I’ve always been fair in my rewards and punishments. As a reward for your help just now, what kind of compensation do you want?” Zhou Lan asked, looking at Natsu.
"Reward!" Upon hearing these two words, Lucy's eyes lit up as if a switch had been flipped or a light bulb had been turned on.
She rubbed her hands together slightly embarrassedly, and quickly said, "As for the reward, we..."
“We don’t need it!” Natsu interrupted her the next second.
“Natsu…?” Lucy looked at Natsu with a puzzled expression.
"We weren't really of any help, so there's no need for any compensation!" He flashed a bright smile.
"That idiot!" Lucy thought to herself. She knew Natsu wasn't short of money, but she was.
Normally, taking on some commissions would be more than enough to cover my daily expenses.
The problem is that Natsu, as the Fire Dragon Slayer Mage, always causes a huge commotion or a lot of destruction whenever he's commissioned.
It's understandable if some kingdom buildings are accidentally damaged.
But just because Lucy can understand doesn't mean the kingdom can.
We have no choice but to lose money.
As a result, a large portion of the money earned from accepting commissions was used to pay compensation.
