"The boss has taken away Di Kui, we'll be there soon too, I believe it," Xiao Feng murmured, gazing into the distance.

It's impossible not to feel envious, but besides Zhou Lan herself, she has seven other siblings.

There has to be a first-come, first-served order; those at the back of the line just have to wait.

At least there is hope.

This is the most important thing.

"Don't worry, everything will be there. I promised, it just takes some time, remember?"

Zhou Lan's deep voice sank into hell, lingering in the ears of the remaining three demons.

For some reason, his voice seemed to possess a unique magic that brought comfort and conviction.

It's as if he has a magical power that makes whatever he says come true.

After a moment, Zhou Lan stared quietly at the guy in front of her, the Earth Demon Di Kui.

He landed on all fours, had two horns on his head, and his body was covered in bulging muscles. He looked big and burly, exuding an incomparably savage aura.

His voice also matched his appearance and physique quite well; when he opened his mouth, it was muffled and deep, with a bass voice that could make an ordinary person's heart rumble.

"I'm back!" the Earth Demon roared, seemingly releasing the pent-up frustration in his heart.

He tilted his head and looked up at Zhou Lan in the sky.

“I should have believed you a long time ago, Zhou Lan, my brother. When you said you would supervise the Holy Lord and supervise his release of us, when you were still in hell, I knew you could do it!”

“Of course.” Zhou Lan smiled slightly.

"Things outside look pretty good. No annoying bugs are bothering us." Di Kui glanced around. He had expected his release from prison to have some unpleasant feedback.

The world was surprisingly quiet, behaving in an extremely ordinary manner.

No self-proclaimed righteous person came to bother him or try to shove him back into the cracks of hell.

"Can you tell me what you and the Holy Lord have been doing outside? And what about the other brothers and sisters, Bogang, Basha... where did they go?"

Di Kui felt a hint of doubt in his heart.

Aside from the distant aura of the Holy Lord, he didn't detect even the slightest trace of the aura of the other demons who had gone ahead, the water demon Basha and the mountain demon Bogang.

"Of course, I will explain everything to you, including the place you are going to."

Zhou Lan smiled; he didn't mind sharing his recent achievements with Di Kui.

“So it is…” Zhou Lan slowly recounted.

After a moment, even Di Kui, whose personality rarely showed any emotion, was stunned.

"You... not only defeated the immortal gods head-on, but also sent them to other worlds? Other worlds?"

Di Kui said with some confusion, "No wonder I could only sense the Holy Lord's aura."

He looked up at the hem of Zhou Lan's clothes and whispered, "Even now, I can't quite see through you anymore."

Having endured millions of years of wear and tear in Hell, this was the first time he had emerged, and the power of the Earth Demon had plummeted to its lowest point ever.

He really couldn't see through Zhou Lan in front of him.

The Moon Demon exuded a mysterious aura, and its strength seemed to have far exceeded its original level.

Di Kui nodded to himself.

He had assumed that Zhou Lan and the Holy Lord had found some loophole to throw the immortal gods into hell one by one.

Unexpectedly, he defeated the opponent head-on by improving his own strength.

He believed that what she had just said was true, which made him change his opinion of Zhou Lan somewhat.

"What the Holy Lord couldn't accomplish in thousands of years, you achieved so easily... Brother," Di Kui said in a low voice, subtly changing his form of address as his tone shifted.

"Haha." Zhou Lan chuckled softly twice, then shook his head and said, "He was just blinded before. Given the prevailing trend, he was bound to fail earlier."

Zhou Lan glanced into the distance; that was the Holy Lord's mansion, his territory.

He seemed to be paying attention to this side, and as if he had heard something, his aura fluctuated slightly.

Zhou Lan smiled silently, then said to Di Kui, "Let's go. Every demon has its own territory. We don't need to divide up our land like before..."

"I'll leave this place to the Holy Lord, and you, my brother, have your own place. The gift I prepared for you, now is the time to unwrap it."

As Zhou Lan spoke softly, she casually pointed, and the portal to another world instantly opened.

A golden light shone down, illuminating Di Kui's face, which held a hint of anticipation.

"In that case, I accept the order." Di Kui said in a deep voice, and without the slightest hesitation, stepped straight into the doorway.

Zhou Lan's figure drifted in, disappearing into the light behind his clothes, and the portal quietly shattered into specks of golden light.

Just one step away, and the world changed dramatically.

Di Kui stood on the land of a planet he had never seen before, a planet completely new to him.

He bent down and sniffed lightly, and a savage scent filled the air. He had a clear understanding of the general condition of this planet.

The ground here is covered with yellow earth and sand, sparsely populated, and presents a wild and desolate scene.

There is little green grass, and even fewer delicate flowers.

Then he raised his head and looked around. All he could see was land stretching out before him, and nothing else.

The view was almost unobstructed, landing directly on the distant horizon.

“I like it here,” the Earth Demon whispered.

Behind him, Zhou Lan, with her hands inside her wide sleeves, smiled and said, "Oh? It seems my taste and judgment are pretty good?"

"Not just good!" Di Kui turned his gaze away from the drifting yellow sand in the distance. "Not even a single flower! That's fantastic!"

He hates flowers.

Zhou Lan understood this.

Finding a flower in this world is a hundred times harder than finding a Face Mech.

"Take another look at the ground below," Zhou Lan said with a smile.

"Oh?" Di Kui quickly snapped out of his reverie; he had almost forgotten the part that interested him the most.

He raised his arm, clenched his fist, and slammed it heavily into the ground.

A steady and powerful energy emanated from his body and seeped into the ground, where the Earth Demon waited quietly.

A moment later, a look of surprise appeared on his face.

"Unbelievable!" Di Kui suddenly looked at Zhou Lan.

Chapter 240 Craftsman and Master

Di Kui suddenly felt like a country bumpkin trying to get into the city.

He never expected that Zhou Lan's so-called gift would be so perfectly suited to his personality and taste.

"Underground... I sensed a network of tunnels leading in all directions. I could feel their shapes; they were round and beautiful..."

"There are also some rough holes. Although they are not as good as the underground structures I built myself, the technique is still quite good. Who built these? We should reward him."

As a demon of the earth, he only needs to pay a little attention to see that the situation underground cannot escape his "eyes".

That was exactly what surprised him.

The surface of this planet is already perfect enough, but I never expected there would be such a surprise underground.

It seems as if a race has survived by digging holes, and their methods and techniques are surprisingly good, which would be considered astonishing even by Di Kui's past standards.

“Zhou Lan… I mean, brother, where did you find this place? I like it here,” Di Kui couldn’t help but say.

“Things aren’t that simple. The challenges and crises in this world are no less than those in our area, and may even be far greater.” Zhou Lan smiled and shook his head. There were some things he needed to clarify with Di Kui.

“No problem, my fists are itching to get going anyway.” Di Kui rubbed his fists together, looking quite excited.

With such an elder brother by his side, he would be willing to be Zhou Lan's vanguard for the rest of his life without any problem.

As he spoke, his two thick arms flew across the ground, pushing large amounts of dirt to both sides.

In the blink of an eye, he disappeared underground.

If the Spiral race, who live underground, are masters of digging tunnels...

Then, Di Kui.

He could almost be considered the ancestor of tunnel digging.

Zhou Lan floated in and followed behind Di Kui.

Unlike ordinary digging for roads, Di Kui seems to dig without any hesitation in breaking through rock layers and soil.

It's more like these obstacles, these underground things, are actively making way for him.

He moved with incredible speed, and soon a huge and wide underground passage was created in his hands, the sunlight at the entrance disappearing behind him.

If we were to make a comparison, the speed at which Di Kui digs a tunnel is much faster than the speed at which Jackie Chan runs on the ground.

"Humans of this world live underground," Zhou Lan described the general outline of this world to Di Kui.

"A pretty good bunch." Before even meeting them for the first time, Di Kui had already given his assessment.

In his eyes, how bad could something be, if it could live underground and dig holes?

"You will restore and enhance your power in this world. The immortal gods will appear when you reach your peak and return to our own world. That will be the day of revenge."

Di Kui paused for a moment, a glint in his eyes, and said in a low voice, "Very good, I look forward to that moment."

He then became engrossed in his own world again, digging rapidly into the ground with both hands.

The closest underground human settlement to here is the village of Simon, which Zhou Lan returned to.

The Earth Demon was eager to see what was underground.

Thanks to his remarkably rapid expansion, Simon's village appeared almost instantly.

The earth spirit leaped out of the rock strata and landed on the ground, which resembled a cave dug into the earth by the village.

He looked around, curiously observing everything.

His appearance also alarmed the local indigenous people.

The villagers huddled together in fear, trying to hide themselves as far as they could.

"So many disasters..." The village chief stood in front, looking at the demon that had suddenly appeared before him with a look of horror.

But soon, compared to the wild and untamed Earth Demon, a figure that could at least be described as familiar appeared in their sight.

Zhou Lan ignored the terrified crowd and glanced up at the sky.

Originally, the large hole that had been damaged by the face, allowing sunlight to shine through, had actually been repaired.

These guys do seem to have some skills.

But the opening to the surface was right in front of them, and they were actually able to stay underground, even though they were only a step away from the surface.

Or perhaps, this village chief does indeed possess some skill.

"Who built these passageways and this incredibly crude-looking palace?" Di Kui asked the crowd in front of him.

His expression and demeanor were not fierce, but his appearance was truly terrifying, causing the villagers to involuntarily retreat.

It was less of an inquiry and more of an interrogation.

"Is this a monster or something? Will we be killed or eaten?" the villagers at the back whispered.

"Don't answer..."

As soon as he stepped forward, the village chief stood up and said fearfully, "Yes, we built it. This is our own home, and underground is the home of each and every one of us."

After saying that, he fell silent, swallowed hard as he looked at the massive body of the Earth Demon, and shrank back.

“Very good!” Di Kui suddenly spoke up. He seemed to simply want to confirm, and after hearing the answer, he couldn’t help but praise, “Although the palace is a bit rough, they are indeed a group of good fellows!”

Demons do not reject humans, and the same applies to the Earthly Demons.

In his eyes, these timid humans were more like a group of decent craftsmen.

The only problem is that this underground palace was built rather crudely and simply, and it didn't quite take shape.
