Hell Game: Starting from Metropolis

"He's alright, he's pretty quick to pay. But he's too arrogant, a bit annoying."
Luo Ping took another drag of his cigarette.
"You two are evenly matched. What, you got into a fight?"
The medical bee became interested.
"It wasn't a conflict, I was just warned by him."
Luo Ping said it casually.
"Getting warned isn't unusual in your line of work. But you'd better listen to him; that guy's not someone to mess with."
Since they were long-time customers, MedBee still gave them a reminder.
"I was just about to ask you about him. What's his background?"
"I don't know, it's like he just fell from the sky."
The medical bee seemed somewhat bewildered as well.
“He was introduced to buy medicine by an acquaintance at first. I thought his medicine jar looked nice, so I thought I would keep it for myself.”
It said quite frankly.
"He actually pulled out a mirror that sealed the dark side of the city's wandering knights, which almost scared me so much that my tail needle came off."
"Mr. Killer, does he have a dark side?"
Luo Ping exclaimed in shock.
"Every intelligent being has a dark side. You always put on such a dignified act, but aren't you one too?"
"Wait, wait! Let's get back to the story of that delivery guy."
Luo Ping quickly stopped it.
"Oh. You know how strong the City Ranger is, so I had no choice but to return the medicine bottle to him."
"I am a doctor," the doctor continued.
"Yes, I know. That's a level of strength I can never reach, whether physical or mental."
Luo Ping's tone carried a hint of longing, yet also a touch of melancholy.
"You know that's all. I thought that was the end of it, but that guy actually sold me the medicine bottle for another hundred dollars, all I had to do was apologize to him. You know me."
"You apologized to him immediately?"
Luo Ping answered quickly.
"Of course, only a fool wouldn't do a deal where an apology can get you a good medicine bottle."
"Then, he sold me a very expensive medicinal herb for almost a pittance price, just so I could treat the addiction of his men."
"I am a doctor," the doctor continued.
"It seems he's really rich."
Luo Ping raised an eyebrow.
"He's not only rich, but also powerful and influential. From what I know, this guy has connections in many departments of the city hall, and he's the kind of person who can get things done."
You know the Pink Kingdom, right?
"know."
Luo Ping nodded.
He came from the old city, so of course he knew that red-light district.
"He actually managed to persuade those bitches from the Pink Kingdom to come to the clinic in the new district for treatment. Either he has completely bewitched them, or he has so much power that they can't refuse him."
"But no matter which one it is, this guy's waters are bottomless."
"It bee said in a mysterious tone."
"Why would someone so talented become a delivery driver for a blood-soaked restaurant?"
Luo Ping voiced his question.
"Who knows? It's normal for rich people to have some quirks."
"It's albeit," the doctor said indifferently.
Are you talking about yourself, Doctor?
Luo Ping laughed.
"Hmph, I'm hardly a rich man, just a poor little pharmacist. If you want treatment, come in; if not, get out of here and stop blocking my business."
"That's what the medical bee said."
"I'll make a call first."
Luo Ping hesitated for a moment, but still made a phone call.
"It's me, Luo Ping."
He said as the call connected.
"You've got business again so soon?"
"He asked from the other side."
"I guess so. I'll buy you the information about buying that message from me."
Luo Ping said.
"I'll keep it a secret even if you don't tell me."
The other side replied.
"No, I mean, you can't tell anyone else that someone bought that message."
Luo Ping shook his head.
"I don't recall ever having that kind of business."
"You can open a new one."
Luo Ping laughed.
"You didn't buy that message yourself, did you?"
The person on the other end asked suspiciously.
"No. But I just don't want this to get out."
"You're embarrassing me."
The person on the other end seemed to frown.
People who buy and sell information often earn more than those who sell information.
"VIP special services, you name your price."
Luo Ping persisted.
"Three hundred thousand."
After pondering for a long time, the person on the other end spoke.
Can you give me a discount?
"Luo Ping, I advise you not to push your luck."
The other side seemed a little angry.
"It's just talk, 300,000 it is."
"Transfer to my account immediately, that's all."
The person on the other end hung up the phone impatiently.
"Sigh, I used my ability for nothing. Not only did I not make any money, I even lost 120,000. What a world."
Luo Ping felt a pang of sympathy for himself and slipped through the crack in the door.
Chapter 604 Even the Bloodstained Restaurant Needs an Audit?
"Boss!"
As soon as I entered the clinic, Niu Daji greeted me.
"how do you feel?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"It's fine, but I always feel nauseous and want to vomit, like there's a big piece of fat stuck in my throat."
Niu Daji complained.
"What does the medical bee say?"
"The doctor said this is a normal phenomenon and told me to eat as usual and vomit as needed, and to eat it back up after vomiting."
Niu Daji said helplessly.
"Don't listen to it. We, the delivery team, don't lack that little bit of money. If you throw up, just buy a new one. I'll reimburse you."
He comforted.
"Thank you, boss."
Niu Daji said happily.
"Where's the doctor?"
"They're getting ready inside."
Niu Daji replied.
"Yes, it's time to prepare to leave."
Liu Zheng nodded and made a call to the driver.
Since we're going into the mountains, we definitely can't drive a sports car; we need to at least get an off-road vehicle.
"Colonel, I'd like to change cars."
He said as the call connected.
“I can’t change you, and not only that, I can’t come out and be your driver anymore.”
The driver sounded very unhappy.
"what happened?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"The finance department says I've been going out on fieldwork too often lately and they're going to audit my accounts. Verdammte Scheie!"
The driver couldn't help but swear.
"Is everything alright? Do you need me to balance the accounts for you?"
He asked with concern.
"No problem. Back when I was reselling supplies, the Bloody Restaurant didn't even exist yet."
The driver said confidently.
Doesn't your statement imply that there's definitely a problem with your accounts?
Liu Zheng squinted and said.
"What did I say?"
The driver countered with a question.
"You didn't say anything. Well, take care of yourself, and call me if you need anything."
He hung up the phone and then frowned.
Although it's unclear whether the driver's sudden audit was accidental or intentional, it certainly caused him a lot of trouble.
