Hell Game: Starting from Metropolis

"Ah, killing them is a bit of a waste. How about we sell them to slave traders? We can get some money to buy wine and meat for the brothers."
Liu Zheng paused for a moment before speaking.
The other three players tensed their muscles, ready to break free of the ropes.
"The captain said that we only take in the most vicious people on board. How can we prove you're vicious if we don't kill them? There are no other ships for us to rob right now, so we have no choice but to kill them."
"That's what the pirate said."
"I see. Then I'm sorry, I can't do that."
He shook his head.
"Oh, didn't you keep saying you always wanted to be a pirate? How come you can't even kill a few people? I think everything you just said was a lie."
The pirate sneered.
"The pirates I admire are ruthless to their enemies and passionate to their friends. Although these three are not my friends, they are still my companions. I can't bring myself to kill them. If I really could, wouldn't the captain feel a chill down my spine when he stands in front of me?"
Liu Zheng said earnestly.
"Hmm, what you said makes some sense."
The pirate thought for a moment and then said.
Even though being pirates means all talk of passion, loyalty, and brotherhood is nonsense, basic order still needs to be followed.
Moreover, as a large group, pirates naturally schemed against each other, hoping that the other would die so they could get more spoils.
However, genuine friendships still exist between individuals or small groups.
"Moreover, to demonstrate their ruthlessness, it is not necessary to kill them."
Liu Zheng said.
"Oh, is there any other way?"
The pirate asked curiously.
"Isn't there still someone here? I've participated in several executions involving slow slicing and slaughter, I guarantee he'll suffer a terrible death."
He gestured with his chin toward Mike and said with a grin.
"hiss!"
The pirate gasped.
Using such cruelty on a child is not just vicious, it's downright insane. Even pirates wouldn't do something like this; they'd only use it to vent their anger.
"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu"
Upon hearing that Liu was going to torture him by a thousand cuts, Mike struggled violently.
Only then did everyone notice that his mouth was stuffed with a wad of dirty cloth.
"Well, Captain, is my pledge of allegiance enough?"
Liu Zheng remained unmoved and said.
"It's enough, but it's not good."
The pirate shook his head.
"why?"
"Because we still need this kid to get the ransom. His family is said to be very rich, so we should treat him well until we get the ransom."
The pirate chuckled.
What happens after the ransom is received is another matter entirely.
"Oh, I know that."
Liu Zheng nodded.
"You know? This kid told you?"
The pirate asked in confusion.
"Yes, Captain, we even discussed it with him and agreed that if we helped him get redeemed smoothly, he would redeem us as well."
"Didn't you say you wanted to join us? Why are you discussing it with him again? You little rascal, which of your words are true?"
The pirate looked at him suspiciously.
"Every word is true. You always have to be prepared for the worst. If the captain is willing to take us in, then of course we will serve the pirates wholeheartedly."
Liu Zheng smiled.
"You're such a strong guy, and you're so smart too. It's really something to be jealous of."
The pirate stared at him and said.
"Behind every successful leader are many capable subordinates. No matter what we were like before, we will always follow your lead."
"Really? All three of them think so too?"
The pirate glanced at the other three players and said.
"Of course, quickly call me boss along with me."
Liu Zheng turned his head and shouted.
"Boss!"
The three players shouted in unison.
"Hmph, who knows if you're being sincere?"
Although the pirate said that, he was all smiles.
If we can really win over these four men, the captain's position might be far from secured, but the positions of first mate and second mate could be easily secured.
"Boss, what if this kid tells everyone about what we're doing?"
Liu Zheng looked at Mike and said.
"Hmm, that's a problem. You're not allowed to scream, or I might not be able to kill you, but I can certainly teach you a lesson."
The pirate leered at Mike.
Clearly, the suffering he was referring to was not simply physical pain.
"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu"
Mike nodded repeatedly in fright.
After intimidating him, the pirate removed the gag from his mouth.
"You heard what we just said, didn't you?"
"I asked the pirate."
"I heard...no, I didn't hear anything, I didn't hear anything."
Mike immediately changed his tune.
"It's alright if you heard that. To tell you the truth, once the captain gets the ransom, he'll most likely throw you onto a sampan and make you row to shore on your own."
"That's what the pirate said."
Upon hearing this, Mike turned pale. Given the conditions of the Devil's Sea, there was no way he could return to shore alive.
"But if you behave, I can help persuade the captain to take you back to shore."
"That's what the pirate said."
"Thank you, boss, thank you, boss."
Mike echoed Liu Zheng and the others' shouts.
"Hmm. What's your name, kid?"
The pirate asked Liu Zheng.
"Boss, my name is Wozki Shuode. And you are?"
"You can just call me Jackma."
The pirate replied.
"Alright, Jackma, boss."
Liu Zheng called out respectfully.
"Alright, alright, don't shout like that after we go out, so that other people won't misunderstand."
The pirates warned them.
"Okay, Jackma. No problem, Jackma."
"You little brat, if your fighting skills are as good as your mouth, then I might be the one calling you boss."
The pirate sighed.
"Alright, come with me, the captain wants to see you."
"Boss Jackma, I can't move either."
Liu Zheng smiled wryly.
"I'll untie it for you, won't I?"
The pirate walked towards him as he spoke.
His movement immediately made everyone tense again.
The pirate quickly approached Liu Zheng and drew his scimitar.
The gleaming blade reflected a cold light before slashing down fiercely.
Liu Zheng's muscles tensed up and then relaxed, because the curved blade didn't cut his body, but instead severed his rope.
While everyone breathed a sigh of relief, they were also puzzled. Where did this pirate get his confidence?
After all, Liu Zhengguang's size alone was enough to give him an absolute advantage over the pirates.
Soon, they found out why.
Before Liu Zheng could even speak, a golden belt stretched out into a golden rope, binding his hands and feet.
Despite the perfunctory binding method, he felt as if his whole body was welded shut, unable to move.
"Magic props!"
The players exchanged glances, relieved that they hadn't chosen to break through directly.
The flamingo captain probably has more than one such powerful tool that he'd give to his subordinates.
"Wow, you're really heavy."
The pirates struggled to drag Liu Zheng toward the upper deck.
"Why don't you loosen my leg a bit, and I'll walk by myself?"
He said ingratiatingly.
"Dream on. Do you want me to let go of your foot so you can kick my ass? Besides, I can't control this thing anyway."
The pirates struggled to get him onto the deck, working up a sweat.
At this moment, there were more than a dozen pirates standing on the deck. Some were looking out, some were chatting, and some were fishing.
Hearing the noise, they all turned their eyes to look.
Only one person, wearing a pink captain's hat and a pink coat, stood at the bow of the ship gazing into the distance without turning around.
"The ship, captain, I've brought the man to you."
The pirate shouted, panting heavily.
Upon hearing his words, the man finally turned around.
Beneath the pink curly hair was an androgynous face.
