The beast's claws struck empty air again, the immense force causing the entire main hall to tremble.

However, this time the Flame Beast did not gather its strength to attack again, but instead opened its mouth.

Bright flames, like blood, gathered from its entire body towards its mouth, finally erupting as a crimson fireball.

A sound like a cannon firing rang out, and the fireball, trailing a long tail of flame, resembled a shooting star.

The fireball was shooting in the same direction Liu Zheng jumped away from; he hadn't even fully landed yet.

The temperature of nearly 1,000 degrees Celsius instantly turned the blade of the butcher's knife red-hot. His body was burned by the splashing flames, and his hand holding the hilt was scalded with many blisters.

But soon, the burned areas fell off on their own, and new flesh grew back.

Liu Zheng looked smug.

The Flame Beast was stunned by this sight and hesitated for a moment.

But soon, it became restless again.

"monster!"

It let out a muffled roar, and the flames on its body grew brighter and hotter, like a stake.

"Hey, compared to you, I'm more human-like, okay?"
