Hell Game: Starting from Metropolis

"Or, like them."
As Si Xue finished speaking, hundreds of obsidian pillars rose up from the sea of fire with a roar.
Countless living and non-living things are sealed inside the stone pillars.
Although all the obsidian pillars are the same size, when Liu Zheng looks at one of them, he can see the true size of the sealed object.
Some are as large as mountains, while others are as small as mosquitoes or flies.
Liu Zheng's pupils suddenly contracted.
Because he saw a phoenix, a phoenix adorned with five colors.
Ghost Hand silently turned around and walked past Liu Zheng.
He is now completely isolated and helpless.
However, Liu Zheng wasn't too discouraged.
No one can be relied on except yourself.
He understood this principle from a very young age.
He continued forward, wading through the lava road.
When Liu Zheng arrived in front of Si Xue, he had shrunk to the size of a palm.
In just a few more seconds, he would be completely incinerated.
However, Si Xue didn't seem to have any intention of hiring again. A golden chair rose from the lava and lifted Liu Zheng up.
Then, a golden round table rose up, on which were placed tea sets, snacks, and even two servings of ice cream.
"eat."
Si Xue gave the order.
Since the boss had spoken, Liu Zheng didn't hold back.
He climbed onto the table, took a few bites of a cake, and drank some tea.
Then he climbed onto the ice cream box, grabbed a spoon, and took a big bite of it.
None of the food items had descriptions, but Liu Zheng didn't care anymore.
Since we're all going to die sooner or later, we might as well die a well-fed ghost.
"hiss!"
Liu Zheng gasped for breath from the cold.
But soon, his body began to swell rapidly.
He quickly jumped back onto the chair, and amidst the intense tingling and itching sensation of flesh and blood reassembling, he returned to his original size.
"Alright, you're going to explode if you eat any more."
Seeing that Liu Zheng was still eager to try, Si Xue spoke up to stop him.
"Ok."
He was somewhat disappointed, but obedient.
How long have you been with the company?
Si Xue picked up her black tea and took a sip.
"The fourth day, I guess?"
Liu Zheng replied.
"On the fourth day, judging from the mess you've made, I thought you'd been with the company for four years."
Si Xue said leisurely.
"Hehehe."
Unsure whether her words were a compliment or an insult, he could only awkwardly scratch his head.
To be honest, Liu Zheng also felt that he was doing too much every day.
Besides food delivery, his business scope also includes novel writing, biological evolution, promotion and salary increase, grocery shopping, pet walking, family conflict resolution, headhunting, and negotiation expert.
Damn, he could run a whole business on his own.
“I’m happy when you cause trouble outside in the name of the restaurant. But I don’t like it when you collude with outsiders to steal things from the restaurant.”
Si Xue reached out her hand, and the Heart of the Ocean from Liu Zheng's neck flew automatically into her hand.
"Wait, Boss."
he shouted.
"What, you're not accepting the punishment?"
Si Xue glanced at him.
“Yes. But I promised the mermaid I would send her child’s soul back to the sea. Could you give me the little mermaid’s soul?”
Liu Zheng said earnestly.
"What right do you have to make demands of me?"
Si Xue said with a half-smile.
"So this is not a demand, it's a request."
His tone was humble.
"I heard you have 'irritability disorder,' and when you go crazy, no one can listen to you, you even dared to tease Oink. Why are you such a coward now?"
Si Xue said sarcastically.
"Because you're my boss."
"Is that why?"
"And I did do something wrong."
Liu Zheng said frankly.
Although he did not agree with the values of the Bloody Restaurant, he did eat food there.
If you want to cause trouble, then cause trouble; if you get caught and get beaten, you'll have to stand at attention.
"Last time you let that bitch Mr. Li blow your body up, and you caused a huge scene in the office building, killing one of their managers. I felt really good about it, and I was planning to reward you."
"Now that your good deeds and bad deeds have balanced out, you've been spared. What price are you willing to pay to get back the little mermaid's soul?"
Si Xue changed her position and lay down directly on the platinum throne.
Today she wore a high-slit cheongsam, and her every movement exuded elegance.
"Then, boss, will you name a price?"
Liu Zheng asked tentatively.
"Name your price? Hahahaha!!!"
Si Xue laughed heartily.
Since she became the owner of the Bloody Restaurant, no one has dared to let her set prices.
"Then, lick it clean for me."
She stretched out her fair right foot and placed it on the table.
From Liu Zheng's perspective, he was just a hair's breadth away from seeing the deepest part.
"I haven't brushed my teeth for the past few days, that's not a good idea."
He swallowed hard, suppressing the deep chill in his heart.
Chapter 106 Author's Note (Available for purchase tomorrow)
It will be available tomorrow, Friday, at noon.
It was only published after 230,000 words, which is quite late to the point of being honest.
Unfortunately, the book's initial performance was quite dismal, as it started too late.
However, it's not a bad thing if it allows readers to read more free chapters and learn more about the book.
I'll guarantee at least five chapters upon release. Please, dear readers, subscribe! Help me out!
I'll add an extra chapter if the first three thousand subscriptions are over, and one extra chapter for every one hundred over the first one. Isn't that super generous?
The experience of writing this book was quite eventful.
If any readers have read my previous books, they will know that my style used to be quite orthodox, even a bit old-fashioned.
After finishing that book, Dream of the Red Chamber, I started writing many new books. Some were not accepted, and some were accepted but I didn't want to write them.
I was quite lost during that period, and even wondered if I was really incapable of writing original content.
So, in a fit of anger, I snapped.
Then I decided to let loose and be myself, and that's how this book came about.
I wrote tens of thousands of words in the middle, and then it was Chinese New Year. After the New Year, I realized that I couldn't understand the book anymore.
I originally wanted to start a new book directly, but I was worried about losing the manuscripts I had saved up, so I sent the book to the authors in the group for them to take a look. If they thought it was okay, I would continue writing.
Surprisingly, they all thought it was good.
Then I submitted it internally, and then the book was published.
I didn't have high expectations for the book's performance, and the subsequent trend proved me right.
During that period, the conversations in the authors' group all had this style.
"Brother Jiu, you've followed this post eight times."
"It's too high, too high."
"Old Wine, your reading stats have broken into single digits, take off!"
"Stop rising! Stop rising! I'm scared of it rising too fast."
Anyway, with the coaxing and cajoling of a group of old-timers in the author group, I persisted and wrote 100,000 words to test the waters.
Then my grades gradually improved, and I even got accepted into the Sanjiang Literature City, which fulfilled my dream of writing online novels.
Here, I would like to thank the veteran authors in the author group, the discerning readers who recognized my talent, and the editor who gave me a chance to try.
Without you, there would be no book.
As you, dear readers, can see, the author's background is quite complex.
The first part of this book isn't even finished yet, but it has already stitched together many elements.
Some of it is for the general public, some for a niche audience, and some readers may not understand it, but don't be afraid.
More will be sewn on later.
However, I'm confident that it won't be sewn up badly.
I wouldn't dare say this book is exceptionally well-written, but it's certainly unique, so those of you who enjoy it are also special.
So, dear readers, let's meet again tomorrow at noon in that bizarre yet logical and wonderful world.
Finally, I'm begging for a first-day subscription, please!
Can't I just have Liu Zheng invite you guys to go fishing in the sewers?
You can even wear helmets!
Chapter 107 Did the Boss Wear Any Clothes?
"It's alright, no matter how dirty your mouth is, it's not as dirty as my feet."
Si Xue said nonchalantly.
Liu Zheng had to admit that what she said made a lot of sense.
