"Lilith felt like she'd heard this opening somewhere before."

"I have decided to carry on my father's ambition and continue as a hunter."

 Volume 1: 414 - The Sister I've Never Met

These words were exactly what Mary had thought. The way Lilith said these words with such a serious expression made Mary feel as if she were seeing herself two years ago. After shaking off the illusion, Mary guessed that this red-tailed sword was probably the weapon used by her father. But then, she heard her say...

"Defeat Rathalos and carry on my father's legacy!"

These next words made Mary stop thinking.

"A male, a male fire dragon?"

Completely different from her previous tone, Mary unconsciously asked a question in return. Sure enough, the extremely sincere girl in front of her said loudly, "Yes!"

Rathalos inhabits this world, and its name is known to all hunters. It spreads its huge wings and soars freely in the air. Those who stray from its path are killed by its claws that can crush rocks and its sharp teeth that can cut through iron. It also has a second name, the King of the Sky. It is the dragon among dragons, and countless hunters have fallen to its hands.

"Um, are you serious? Rathalos isn't a monster that's so easy to defeat."

Mary countered with a question, but before she could even hear her reply, she found the answer in her earnest gaze.

"My father and I made a promise to defeat Rathalos!"

"No matter what you say, it's no use. Why would your father offer such conditions?"

"Because my father is the only hunter left in the village. If he retires, there will be no hunters left in the village."

"I see," Mary nodded. If it's just a temporary lack of hunters, it's not a problem. But if there's absolutely no one to hunt, monsters will roam around the village. Then the villagers will be restricted from going out, and soon the village will be abandoned.

Everyone has different reasons for becoming a hunter. Some simply make a living this way, some want to gain respect, and some just enjoy hunting with weapons and armor. Looking around, the balance between hunters and nature is complementary, and hunters who protect human habitats are also highly regarded.

Therefore, as long as Lilith's father intends to retire, Pokai Village will definitely need a hunter who can protect the village, and Mary understands that it will not be easy for Lilith to inherit her father's job.

In other words, the burden is too heavy for Lilith. Although the number of hunters has increased the opportunities for solo missions due to the scarcity of hunters, hunting alone is far too dangerous and the situation is even more dire. Therefore, Lilith's father still forbids her from going on missions as a hunter.

"My father said that if I couldn't defeat Rathalos, he wouldn't let me become a hunter. So, before I left, I made a promise with my father that I wouldn't come back if I couldn't defeat Rathalos!"

Mary thought that Lilith's father only wanted her to grow gradually before becoming a qualified hunter, to make reliable companions and accumulate valuable experience through training, which was why he set such unreasonable conditions. While Lilith was being stubborn, she shouldn't be like this. Although Lilith had heard of Mary's reputation and felt that someone who could help her had appeared, a lower-difficulty hunt was fine, but a Rathalos was a different story. Mary thought that she had to be responsible for her words, and generally speaking, as a senior, it was necessary to stop Lilith's unreasonable idea!

"When do you want to make your move?" Mary asked tentatively, and Lilith immediately gave her the answer.

 "Going right now!"

"I knew it!" Mary sighed softly. Thinking back, she had been just as anxious when she first became a hunter, carrying a greatsword to participate in the Eighth Fleet's entrance exam. So she understood Lilith's feelings very well, but saying that they should immediately set off to hunt Rathalos was really too much of a stretch! Just as Mary was struggling to say no, a commotion suddenly came from the Lynx Pavilion. Mary and Lilith looked in the direction of the sound and saw a huge blue monster that she had never seen before appear there.

The young girl didn't quite understand why these upright creatures were all looking at her, but the thought that they might be eyeing the Wind Dragon behind her made her wary. She gripped the Wind Dragon's tail tighter, and the tail stopped swaying wildly and instead circled around her rhythmically. Fortunately, their gazes didn't linger on the Wind Dragon for long, so the girl handed it over to Melalu with peace of mind and then sat down at the dining table.

The process of preparing Wind Drift Dragon dishes is relatively simple, mainly because the meat of Wind Drift Dragon is very unique. Hunters initially cooked the Wind Drift Dragon meat according to their usual hunting methods, but after cooking it, they found that the huge Wind Drift Dragon had turned into the size of a Jagras. The most bizarre thing is that the wing membrane of the Wind Drift Dragon mysteriously disappeared. It was not until the Scriveners team conducted some research on the ecological habits and living environment of the Wind Drift Dragon that they figured out the reason.

Because of the presence of ice packs and secretory glands within the body, the body temperature of the Wind Drift Dragon remains at a relatively low level. However, at high temperatures, the original balance is disrupted, and the protein structure of the skin cells is rapidly destroyed, causing it to lose its original characteristics and become unable to maintain its proper state. After numerous experiments, the head chef of Lynx-tei finally found the three most suitable cooking methods for the Wind Drift Dragon.

The most suitable part of the pleco to be eaten raw is its skin membrane.

The cool, icy skin has a lot of tiny hairs on the inside, which can be easily scraped off by scalding it with hot water. After simple processing, just cut it into thin strips, add soy sauce, juice extracted from miasma fruit, and chopped onion, then mix well and it's ready to eat. However, creative chefs also add flatback shrimp, lily squid, and coral shrimp to enhance the texture, and add chili flakes, chopped miasma fruit, and ice vodka to improve the flavor profile.

The blood of the Wind-Drifting Dragon is considered a delicacy. This is mainly because the Wind-Drifting Dragon preys on the Fang-Winged Dragon, which feeds on coral eggs. This results in the Wind-Drifting Dragon's blood being rich in nutrients and possessing a unique fragrance. The method of consuming the dragon's blood is simple: just drink it. However, this method is only suitable for Wind-Drifting Dragons that have recently died. Alternatively, one can break ice and pour the dragon's blood over it before consuming the blood. However, this practice is somewhat dangerous, so only hunters dare to attempt it.

As for the meat of the drake, there are even more options. One way to eat it is to cut the drake meat into thin slices of suitable thickness according to its muscle texture, and then pour on the sauce before eating. Another way to eat it is to stew it together with other meats such as giant sirloin and heart-shaped brisket. Especially after adding spices and high-quality mushroom pork fat, which have a more special aroma, the aroma of the broth is a wonderful blend of various fragrances.

The young girl, OO, stared intently at the longsword the chef was brandishing. With the help of the Melalurus, the chilled Wind-Drifting Wing Membrane and chilled dragon blood sauce were quickly prepared. Considering Lanmei's taste, the Melalurus hadn't added chili flakes to the dish they served her. Lanmei gently picked up a piece of the chilled Wind-Drifting Wing Membrane and put it in her mouth. The minty aroma and crisp texture made Lanmei murmur a soft praise; she hadn't expected the dish to taste so good.

Furthermore, the addition of juice extracted from miasma fruit gives this dish a slightly spicy flavor, but it's not as intense or stimulating as chili peppers. It's the kind of spicy food that even people who can't handle chili peppers can enjoy. My daughter really likes this dish; it has a refreshing and crisp texture. Also, this dish isn't filling; even after eating a whole big bowl, she didn't feel overly full.

As the young girl was chewing on the cold wind-blown wing membrane and drinking chilled dragon blood, a pair of hunters appeared nearby.

“Wow, Master, look at her, she’s already a hunter. If I were to hunt Rathalos, I’d definitely have no problem.”

"Didn't I already say that I'm not the master?"

Mary has always insisted that she is not Lilith's master. Although Lilith is keen to establish this title first, in fact, if Mary acquiesces, it might really develop into a master-disciple relationship. However, for now, Mary still wants to maintain a good friendship with Lilith.

"Hey everyone, as you can see, we're currently recruiting teammates. You were the ones who just defeated that Wind Dragon, right? I see you have two people, so why don't you team up to complete the quest?"

The little girl cautiously turned her body to the side the moment she saw them, completely blocking the food in front of her, worried that these two uninvited guests would steal her food. However, this behavior made Mary realize that her sincerity in asking them to team up was not very strong, so she immediately took out money to buy two cat meals and sent them over.

Sure enough, after the cat food arrived, the little girl's attitude towards them changed. At this time, Mary also discovered a problem: the little girl's appetite was really terrifying. Since they appeared, she had eaten a total of twenty cat food and was still not full. However, as a hunter who could hunt Rathalos and Anjanath on her own, Mary's wallet was much more abundant than that of a novice hunter.

Soon, under the onslaught of delicious food, the young girl was willing to say a few words to them.

"Hey, so your name is Hikari. And this young lady is Aran. You guys transferred directly from the Dragon Academy to the New World, right? Hmph, how do I know? It's because of your clothes and your style of doing things. But they're a bit similar to our Seventh Generation. By the way, what brings you here?"

Hearing Mary's question, the little girl looked blankly at Lan Mei, as if Lan Mei knew the answer. However, Lan Mei simply wiped the little girl's mouth, indicating that she didn't know either. Lilith was still marveling at how such a child could already kill a Wind Dragon, and how she herself should be able to kill a Rathalos after a month of training. Just as Mary was about to say something, the little girl seemed to suddenly remember what she was supposed to do, quickly swallowed the piece of meat in her mouth, and said, "Guang, I'm here to find my older sister!"

"Are you looking for your relatives? Do you know your sister's name? If you don't mind, we can help you find her."

"It seems that the sister of light has died."

"I'm sorry, Hikaru, I... I don't know any of this, but Miss Aran is?"

 "Lan is Lan!"

Hearing this, Lanmei contentedly brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. However, she immediately realized a problem: who was the little girl's older sister? She had never heard of the little girl having an older sister! It seemed necessary to ask the little girl for clarification. Just as Lilith was about to ask something, suddenly a healthy-looking...

A man with wheat-colored skin approached the group; he sported a classic mohawk hairstyle.

"So you were here! I've been looking for you for ages. Come on, your teammates are waiting for you over there."

Before Mary could figure out what was going on, she and Lilith were pulled away by the man in front of them, and Lanmei had a chance to ask the little girl, "Xiaoguang, is the sister you're talking about the same as you, or is it the one we met in Xinard Village who also came to the New World?"

"No, no, my sister is my sister."

After Sunshine Brother took the two away, he breathed a sigh of relief as he watched the little girl and Lan Mei eating normally. Lilith didn't know what had happened, but since her master didn't seem worried at all, she wasn't anxious either. Mary straightened her clothes and said, "Is there some urgent mission?"

"No, you probably haven't had a chance to see the latest update from the Dragon Academy yet."

 "Hmm, information? What information?"

"The girl with platinum blonde hair, a blue and white dress, a platinum blonde tail, and reddish-brown horns is suspected to be the human form of the World Lord. Hunters must be careful when making contact."

Lilith, who was standing nearby, quickly finished reading the message. Just as Lilith asked why this was being done, Mary gave her answer: "The first Black Eclipse Dragon individual discovered in the New World is elusive. It inherited the power of the Fatalis and traveled around the world. It has now completed its molting in the forbidden area of Sky Mountain. According to the Dragon Academy's speculation, the molted World Lord has undoubtedly reached the position of the number one dragon below the Forbidden Zone."

"So that child is the Lord of Reincarnation? That can't be right. And what about Miss Alan next to her? Could she be Lanlong?"

"We can't be sure about that for now. By the way, what were you all talking about just now?"

Mary quickly recounted her conversation with the little girl. Sunshine Bro pondered for a moment, "Looking for the older sister? But she's the only one in the entire New World who has become a World Lord. If there's a second one, that would be a real crisis."

Just then, the Commander-in-Chief appeared behind them. "You're right, and you're wrong."

 "Right or wrong?"

"If we consider the relationship with the Reincarnation Lord, then indeed, apart from the one killed in the Forbidden Zone, there probably isn't another Reincarnation Lord in the entire world. But if we look at it from another perspective, this Reincarnation Lord isn't just a Heavenly Reincarnation Dragon; she also has elements of the Crimson Dragon, and that part comes from the Crimson Dragon in the Valley of the Netherworld."

 Volume 1: 415 - Xiao Guang's True Intentions

"Let the head of the investigation team tell you the specifics."

After the Commander-in-Chief finished speaking, he made way for a person who appeared from behind him. The person was a dragon-human scholar from the Second Fleet, currently serving as the head of the investigation team at the Starry Sky Base. His job was to use the investigation data to formulate monster research policies, assign hunting targets, and report the latest investigation findings to the Commander-in-Chief and the Guild. In addition, he had a close friendship with the elderly dragon-human from the Ecological Research Institute, and the two often discussed the ecological habits and data of monsters.

"It's a pleasure to see you, Miss Lilith. Also, it's been a long time, Mary. I've written down what you were saying. As for the Lord of the Worlds, you know about the Fatalis that was discovered by the First Generation members, right?"

Mary and Lilith both nodded. Although they hadn't participated in the Safi'jiiva hunt, they had heard about it. It was an adult Xeno'jiiva discovered in the Valley of the Dark. Despite not having a particularly privileged origin, the Safi'jiiva, living in the Valley of the Dark, managed to escape the destruction of the Azure Star. As an adult, the Safi'jiiva possessed unprecedented power, freely rewriting the surrounding ecosystem by absorbing and manipulating ley line energy, making it only beneficial to itself, which led the Hunter's Guild to list it as a target for hunt.

"The incident occurred on the day the hunt ended. Safi'jiiva, also known as the Red Dragon, fell. Before the hunters could even celebrate, the Celestial Dragon appeared. At first, no one recognized what kind of dragon it was. By the time everyone realized it was the Celestial Dragon, it was too late. Lacking supplies and hunting tools, the hunters were completely powerless against the Celestial Dragon's strength, so they had no choice but to use flashbangs to retreat."

"Afterwards, members of the Scribe team went to the site multiple times to investigate the situation of the Crimson Dragon. According to the reports from the Scribe team members..."

The Celestial Wyvern seemed to have merely been passing through, but by the time the hunters returned with their gear, it was too late. The Black Eclipse Dragon had already been born. After searching the entire cave, the hunters found several broken cocoons deep within the Safi'jiiva lair. This was the birth of the Black Eclipse Dragon, the very same creature that was the Reincarnated One. Those familiar with the Celestial Wyvern's reincarnation should know how the Black Eclipse Dragon was born, so I speculate that the sister she mentioned is very likely a descendant of that Safi'jiiva Dragon.

Mary immediately understood what might happen next. "What? Does that mean we have to do the same punitive expedition we just experienced again?"

"This is uncertain at the moment, and it is unlikely to happen in the short term. Both the Netherworld Lantern Dragon in the Convergence Land and the Netherworld Crimson Dragon in the Valley of the Netherworld underwent decades of development before they were born. And less than two years have passed since the death of that Netherworld Crimson Dragon, so there is no need to worry about that. However..."

"However, the fact that Hui Shi is mainly looking for my sister makes things even more mysterious, doesn't it?"

Thinking of this, the Commander-in-Chief and the Survey Squad Leader couldn't help but look towards the little girl's location. She was currently holding a huge bowl of soup, sipping it slowly. With her voracious appetite, the entire Wind Dragon quickly disappeared into her stomach. After finishing, she licked the grease from her lips with her pink tongue. Meanwhile, the Melalurus were discussing cooking with the Palicoes. The Melalurus taught the Palicoes the cooking techniques they had learned in Fire Village and Sinard Village, while the Palicoes taught them the stewing technique taught by Granny Cat at Seliana Camp. However, judging from Melalurus's clumsy final attempt, it seemed she would need to practice several times before she could master it.

The young girl didn't choose to live in the camp, but instead went to live in a cave she had previously claimed. The cave was located between the Coral Highlands and the Wildspire Waste, and was a giant cave that the Lava Dragon had knocked out when it entered the Ley Line. Although it was the first time the Merallus had come to this place, they quickly took out their mining picks and headlamps and began to tidy up the space inside the cave.

Not only did they tidy up the place where the young girl slept, but they also quickly set up a stove and storage area. As for the lighting in the cave, the Meralu found some glowing minerals to decorate various corners of the cave, and together with the light from the campfire, it was enough to light up the entire cave.

Lanmei took out the freshly picked paradise berries, and the little girl unceremoniously opened her mouth, waiting for Lanmei to feed her. Lanmei was already used to this scene. After removing the stems from the paradise berries, she quickly tossed them into the little girl's mouth. The little girl waited until her mouth was almost full before squeezing the paradise berries into bright red juice and swallowing it in one gulp. Lanmei was a little curious about who the little girl meant by "sister," so she asked, "Xiaoguang, who is this sister you're talking about? I don't remember you telling me before."

"I don't know anything about light, I only know that she's a blue-haired older sister."

"The blue-clad older sister?" Lanmei also voiced her question.

In fact, the older sister the young girl mentioned was the prematurely deceased Netherworld Dragon, the chosen one.

According to the hypothesis of the Third Generation scholars, the Xeno'jiiva in the Convergence Land and the Safi'jiiva in the Valley of the Darkness are most likely eggs left by the same Safi'jiiva. The Lord of the Worlds hatched from the Safi'jiiva in the Valley of the Darkness, so she instinctively accepted this relationship. As a monster that feeds on the energy of other creatures, the Xeno'jiiva has the habit of emitting something similar to pheromones to attract creatures with powerful energy.

The outward manifestation of this habit is the Elder Dragon Crossing. The Xeno'jiiva listens to the Elder Dragons' desire for death and, in order to use the energy they contain as food for its own birth, guides the Elder Dragons, who are aiming for the Rotten Vale, to the New World.

The aging Lavasioth sensed the call of Xeno'jiiva and, after disrupting the hunter's capture operation, stubbornly headed towards the Leyline Corridor. Xeno'jiiva had spent countless years gathering such powerful leyline energy, which meant that the Elder Dragon born from this place would possess immense power. Lavasioth was the final piece of the puzzle that Xeno'jiiva was preparing for its own awakening.

However, all of this was destroyed by Azure Star, and the current Reincarnation Lord is also pursuing this extremely huge energy. In fact, from the beginning of her birth, the young girl knew that she could learn how to find this huge energy from her sister who died young. However, knowing is one thing, and being able to find it is another. Moreover, the young girl came back this time to find the information left by her sister.

The instincts of a young girl are both complex and simple. Before shedding her skin, the most important thing is to transform into a Celestial Dragon. After shedding her skin, the young girl needs a huge amount of energy to enter the next stage of evolution. Her usual hunting and eating can no longer meet her needs. In other words, the information left by her sister is very appropriate.

This refers to the Lavasioth that the Xeno'jiiva once attracted. Although the Lavasioth eventually left the New World, it is probably still lying somewhere waiting to die. The little girl clearly knows that as long as she finds her sister, she will know where to find the Lavasioth. After that, she only needs to absorb the Lavasioth's energy to become the complete World Lord.

The Convergence Point is located below the Elder's Recess, which is so named because it is filled with dragon crystals. And to say that dragon crystals are...

How did they appear? After the magma in the Elder's Recess collided with the rushing waterfall, some shiny crystals gradually appeared on the basalt. This is the origin of the dragon crystals. The members of the survey team and the scribes believe that the dragon crystals are the manifestation of brilliant life energy.

Under Mary's tutelage, Lilith quickly forgot about hunting Rathalos. This was partly due to Mary's deliberate enticement, as Rathalos was such a powerful creature, revered by people as an overwhelmingly strong being. Faced with such an opponent, no one would hesitate to stop a reckless young hunter.

"Starting a Rathalos hunt right now will absolutely not be successful. Finding a master who can teach you advanced skills is the best course of action. We'll provide guidance in any case, okay?"

The hunter instructor gave his conclusion, and upon hearing it, Lilith looked at him with a blank expression and a disappointed, hesitant look. She knew the instructor was right, but even so, Lilith had come all the way from the distant village of Pokai in order to make the impossible possible. So, for Lilith now, this statement, though correct, was meaningless.

Turning the impossible into the possible—there is nothing more difficult than that.

Marie understood Lilith better than anyone else here. She too had inherited her deceased father's will to become a hunter since childhood. Noticing Lilith's dejected look, Marie had no choice but to encourage her, "You don't even have confidence right now. There's absolutely no way you can defeat a Rathalos. It's a matter of life and death, you understand?" The dejected Lilith seemed to be awakened and nodded in agreement. "However, if you really have this ambition, why don't you hunt with us for now? If your goal is to become a hunter, it's also important to broaden your horizons and carefully observe and learn from other people's hunting techniques."

Since arriving in the New World, Mary had always done this, hunting alongside countless hunters and learning their techniques. In fact, demonstrating her hunting skills to Lilith was the maximum concession Mary could offer. After a brief moment of thought, Lilith reached the same conclusion as Mary, and bowed deeply to Mary with great respect.

"Please help me! I appreciate your guidance!"

 "Well, come on!"

 "Yes, Master!"

“I already said, I’m not your master.” With that, Mary patted Lilith on the shoulder. “Alright then, you can call me Sister Mary from now on. That’s the condition for hunting with me!”

The next day, Mary began to go hunting with Lilith.

This mission was chosen simply to test Lilith's abilities; it involved defeating the increasing number of Crowned Dragons in the Elder's Recess—a relatively simple task. This way, even if Lilith encountered difficulties, Mary could handle it on her own. Mary had made thorough preparations before setting off.

Lilith's weapon was the Crimson Tail, and her armor was a hunter's suit sold in the village. "Go!" Lilith raised her long Crimson Tail and ran while shouting. Although she was small in stature, she didn't seem to have any difficulty lifting the spear, and her thrusts were fast. In this way, she could unleash her full strength to strike the enemy.

 If it hits.

After passing through the basalt cave, Mary and Lilith arrived at an open area. They immediately spotted a group of five crested dragons in front of them, forming a standoff. Without paying attention to the distance, Lilith charged towards the crested dragons like lightning, carrying her red tail. She used a spear-based fighting style, charging at full speed while using her weight to ram into the opponent and inflict damage. The spear was heavier than a one-handed sword, so it was almost impossible to adjust the direction of the attack instantly.

Using the distance, the Corydoras easily dodged Lilith's attack. Having lost her target, Lilith lunged forward and, using the dust she kicked up, pounced on the Corydoras again, which had stopped abruptly and was trying to escape. "Again!" Lilith thrust at the Corydoras once more.

This time, the distance was better controlled than before, but the Crowned Dragon also began to be wary of Lilith's attack. This was mainly because Lilith's attack was too obvious and direct, so the Crowned Dragon, which had been paying attention to her, knew from afar that she was going to attack. Under such circumstances, it was impossible for Lilith to succeed.

As expected, the cunning Crowned Dragon once again dodged Lilith's attack and let out a cawing sound, as if mocking her foolish behavior. Mary heard the sound, but Lilith was not discouraged and immediately turned around and charged at the Crowned Dragon again.

Seeing this, Mary was very clear about Lilith's strength. Although she didn't know much about her training in digging and mining, judging from her actions and reactions just now, Lilith's level was far from being able to hunt Rathalos. At this level, she might even be rejected by the guild when she went to accept a quest.

Mary wasn't actually surprised that Lilith was only at this level; she was just a little disappointed. A spear is indeed difficult for a novice to use its pointed end to strike an enemy, but Lilith wielded it without any wobbling, even when running at full speed. This indicated that her legs were incredibly strong. As she herself said, she was born in Pokai Village and grew up in the mountains, so she probably started training her legs from childhood, and her father also tutored her in the village.

In fact, Mary felt that Li

Lilith has a real talent for using a lance. Putting aside Rathalos, anyone who can train diligently under a good master will grow into an excellent hunter. So, Mary thinks it's a pity about Lilith.

"This is a bit difficult," Mary said, as she used her Fire Dragon Axe and Wyvern Fang to cut down four Crowned Dragons, leaving only one facing Lilith. The Crowned Dragon remained unchanged; Lilith continued her relentless frontal thrusts. "Lilith, put away your spear and attack from behind!"

Upon hearing Mary's words, Lilith didn't hesitate for a moment. She immediately put away her spear, slung it over her back, and started running. She performed a forward roll to the side of the crested dragon and quickly circled around to its back. "What a perfect position." Was it a lucky coincidence that she found such a good spot, or was it Lilith's innate intuition?

However, Lilith, who had been attacking the Corydoras head-on, could not have imagined this blind spot. Lilith raised her red tail and thrust again. The Corydoras, which only knew how to charge, was wide open and had no chance to react to Lilith's move. It took a hit and fell down.

"Thank you for your help!" Lilith even forgot about skinning the crowned dragon and immediately returned to thank Mary, a bright, sunny smile on her face. Mary had given Lilith advice, and although she genuinely wanted to help her, she also hoped to finish the job as soon as possible. She felt that she wouldn't be a mature person if she couldn't be Lilith's role model. This selfish thought was genuinely appreciated by Lilith, and Mary herself felt a little embarrassed.

"You need to think carefully about when the right time will be." So he gave Lilith another piece of advice, and then they faced the next wave of Crowned Dragons. And so began Mary and Lilith's life of hunting together.

Volume 1: 416 - The Grilled Fish Master of the Elder's Recess

In the center of the Elder's Recess, near the dense pillars of dragon crystals, lies the first outpost established by the Elder Dragon Survey Team of the New World. Generally, hunting outposts must be established in relatively secluded places to prevent monsters from approaching. Sometimes, abandoned caves or waterfalls might be chosen. However, the outpost in the Elder's Recess is located near a gushing spring.

This outpost has an excellent location with abundant water nearby and is connected to several underground caves. Moreover, it only requires crawling through a few low openings to reach most parts of the Elder's Recess. Wyverns cannot enter or fly in here, and it can also prevent crested dragons from entering this area. During this time of honing their hunting skills, Mary and Lilith have been living in this outpost.
