Chapter 412 Never Disappointing in Disappointing
4910 outer gate.
Between the layers of mountains, Buddha statues, some sitting, some lying, some compassionate, some ferocious, stand tall among the mountains.
This is Qianfo Mountain, a Buddhist holy place in the outer gate of 4910.
And at this moment, deep in Qianfo Mountain.
An ordinary wooden house stands among the thousands of Buddhas in the mountains.
The orange-red fire burned quietly in the center of the hearth, the flames flickering, illuminating the low table and cushions on the right.
On the low table, a jade-shaped vase with a thin neck and a round belly, with a milky white body, exudes a refreshing aroma of wine.
Next to the jade pot, there were two exquisite small wine glasses, one was half full and the other was empty.
Su Nian sat in front of the half-full wine glass, raised it and took a sip.
"I didn't know what flavor you liked, so I didn't add more wine for you."
Su Nian pointed to the cushions in front of him across the low table, motioning the visitor to take a seat.
"If you don't like monkey wine, you can choose another drink before we have a disagreement."
Hearing this, the visitor was silent for a moment, then clasped his hands together and softly chanted the Buddha's name.
"Amitabha."
"Donor Su has given me such a kind invitation that I would be disrespectful to refuse."
He said as he slowly walked forward, knelt down in front of the low table, and straightened his back.
Su Nian sipped the sweet monkey wine with a rich fruity aroma, and squinted his eyes to look at the other person.
The man had old features and dull eyes, and looked like an old man who was about to die. The scars on his head were covered by his dark skin and were barely visible.
After sitting up straight, Puxian held up the wine glass with both hands and said.
"Just give me a glass of water."
"Okay, what a shame that I asked Sister Monkey for the monkey wine."
Su Nian shook the wine glass with a hint of regret, stretched out his hand and a stream of water vapor swirled in the wine glass, forming a clear spring.
"You really don't understand the atmosphere at all. You shouldn't be influenced by the host."
Su Nian couldn't help but complain.
Puxian took a small sip and then sighed.
"What difference does it make whether it's water or wine? The world is empty, so why worry about it?"
"Don't tell me these big truths. I have no interest in them at all."
Su Nian waved his hands in disgust, with a look of disdain on his face.
"We asked you to come here today to ask you something."
"Do you think there is any difference between Hinayana Buddhism and Mahayana Buddhism?"
Puxian's hand holding the cup trembled a little, as if he understood what questions Su Nian wanted to ask him.
"If I remember correctly, before the Buddha attained enlightenment, the Buddha wasn't a God or Buddha yet, right?"
Su Nian sighed and said with a hint of regret.
As a direct disciple of the Buddha, no one knows the difference between Buddha and gods and Buddhas better than him.
In other words, the evolution from "Buddha" to "Gods and Buddhas" was the result of their intentional promotion.
[Buddha] is an enlightened person who transcends himself, while [Gods and Buddhas] are gods made of golden bodies.
In the original Buddhism, there was no such thing as Hinayana and Mahayana. Mahayana was determined by this group of later generations.
Puxian seemed to understand Su Nian’s true purpose, and drank the water in the cup dejectedly.
"I knew long ago that the Buddha didn't care about fame, wealth, or so-called authority, or even the truth."
"What He cares about is suffering and nirvana, the liberation of oneself and all beings."
"It's ridiculous, but the Buddha doesn't care about saving all sentient beings. The idea of saving all sentient beings, of guiding others to transcendence, is something we disciples, the Bodhisattvas, have determined."
"He is very capable of guiding us on the path to transcendence. Every time we ask, He never tires of teaching us. He has never even concealed secrets that are known only to Himself."
"But... is that really something we can do?"
When Puxian said this, he looked at Su Nian with a puzzled expression, and seemed to be looking at the Buddha.
"To be as detached as the Buddha, or even to attain enlightenment like other universal truths? Or even to become an omniscient and omnipotent being?"
He was like a lost traveler. There were roads all ahead of him, but he couldn't step on any of them.
The roads can clearly be seen and heard, and he can even explain the road conditions and how to get there, even what the key points are.
But he couldn't take a single step forward.
"Tsk, you can fool others, but don't fool yourself."
Su Nian looked at the numb Puxian, rolled his eyes and said coldly.
"Aren't you walking on this path?"
"In this little garden, what is impossible?"
The sandbox is a sublime world where the false becomes true and the impossible becomes possible. Even Orpheus, who was once an ordinary man, has now achieved enlightenment and realized the truth of the universe.
Even the Samantabhadra Bodhisattva in front of us was just an ordinary mortal before he was accepted as a disciple by Sakyamuni.
What does this spiritual system of the box garden bring to all life in the box garden? It is the most important possibility.
Could observing the world of the God Slayer really have such a serious impact on the small garden? Could Athena really become the noble queen of the Trinity?
Obviously, it is impossible. The original little Athena can bring strength to Athena, and the box-shaped Athena can accumulate it in a breath.
What’s important is that it brings further possibilities.
Endless possibilities, and the miracle of turning possibilities into reality, this is the true greatness of the small garden.
Nothing is impossible in the little garden.
"Do you think that with your current enlightenment, you can become a Buddha? Or a Bodhisattva?"
Su Nian asked back, his words were like a sharp knife, digging into the deepest thoughts hidden in Puxian's heart.
"Your spiritual power, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, was forcibly accumulated by relying on the merits of the small garden, relying on the miracle of turning the impossible into the possible."
"Don't pretend to be so profound here."
Su Nian looks down on Samantabhadra and the current Buddhism.
To be honest, if you want to gain achievements, then seek achievements. If you want to pursue faith, then pursue faith, then pursue faith?
But what's with this painting of yours that wants not only achievements and faith, but also other people's wealth and splendor?
Su Nian looked up at the Thousand Buddha Mountain outside. How many corpses were buried under the Buddha statues that covered the mountain? It was already impossible to count them.
But if it were built by a community of four or five digit experts in architecture and creation, the cost might be a little higher, but the sacrifice would definitely be pitifully small.
As for the extra expenses, a golden Buddha statue in any temple on the mountain would be enough.
"Save all living beings? I think it's more like asking all living beings to save you."
Su Nian sneered. He now felt that the Puxian in front of him was a bit hypocritical and made him want to vomit.
He now regretted calling Samantabhadra out for a talk.
Hearing this, Puxian was stunned, smiled, and said to Su Nian with a relaxed expression.
"Haha, what Donor Su said is true, but if you use all living beings as a boat to save yourself, aren't you also one of those who are saved by me?"
"Oh, what then?"
Su Nian rolled his eyes. Of course he could see what Puxian meant.
"Then you can confuse me with you?"
"Goodbye, we were different before. I am a dragon, but you may not be a Buddha."
"In this small garden where neither humans nor gods exist, you and I are the same, both gods."
Puxian said indifferently.
"Besides, you don't think that by getting rid of me and the Xianshou Sect, you can change Buddhism, right?"
"It's true that the Buddhists are now participating in the competition for the final King Buddha, but when the God Slayer War is over, everything will return to square one."
Having said this, Puxian paused and a smile appeared on his face.
"You can't do anything, even with Yang Jian."
"Just like the Buddha who was placed on the altar and could not move."
"You can't stop us. This is human nature! It's also Buddhism!"
"Oh?"
Su Nian raised the corner of his mouth, raised his wine glass, squinted his eyes and said.
"What if I step on the accelerator for you?"
Upon hearing this, Puxian's expression paused and he said in astonishment.
"What do you want to do?"
Su Nian smiled wantonly when he heard that.
"doing what?"
"Of course, we will let Buddhism rot completely and then burn it down."
"What do you mean?"
Puxian looked horrified and was somewhat unable to understand Su Nian's words.
Will they allow Buddhism to completely decay? Could Buddhism, as it is now, get any worse? They are the ones driving Buddhism's current state. How could they not understand this?
His path to truth is to [save all sentient beings and lead them to rebirth in the Pure Land]. Only when all sentient beings are suffering will they yearn for the Pure Land he speaks of.
In order to complete his pure land, sentient beings must suffer.
If sentient beings are not suffering enough, how can they talk about and yearn for the Pure Land? Then how can they transcend?
"Means nothing."
Su Nian smiled brightly and patted Puxian on the shoulder.
"It's just what it says. I think Buddhism can get even worse now."
"For example, how about turning Buddhism into a demonic sect? How about having someone else sit on the lotus throne in the main hall?"
"you······"
Puxian stared at Su Nian with his eyes wide open and a purple face, and even couldn't help but yell at Su Nian.
"What on earth do you want to do?"
"Didn't I tell you? Step on the accelerator for Buddhism."
Su Nian poured a glass of wine for Puxian with a smile, and then said.
Then, as the last king and savior, he went to Lingshan to eliminate the demons.
"Hahaha, step on the accelerator, what a great step on the accelerator!!"
Puxian couldn't help laughing out loud.
"Yes, the difference between the Buddhist sect and the Demonic sect nowadays is only in the name."
However, as he laughed, tears came out of his eyes.
"We were wrong. We were all wrong! We all took the wrong path. There's no turning back."
Su Nian looked at the regretful Puxian, shook his head, shook the wine glass in his hand, and sighed softly.
Sure enough, Buddhism never disappoints us when it comes to disappointing people.
He also thought that Samantabhadra, who was directly taught by the Buddha, was different from other Buddhists.
