Shopping.
Nomiyama wondered what it would be like for the four of them to go shopping together, but found that he couldn't imagine the scene.
Shaking off his thoughts, he asked with some curiosity, "Why isn't the senior going?"
Kasumigaoka Utaha smiled and said, "Junior, if I go shopping with your girlfriends to buy household items, I'll feel out of place. After all, I'm just an outsider, and I don't even have much in my own room."
"Well, senior, feel free to stay wherever you like. You can buy things and decorate without any problem. The house is big enough, so they won't mind."
Nomiyama put Eriri down and headed towards the kitchen.
You don't mind? Well... nothing is safer than staying in the danger right in front of you.
Kasumigaoka Utaha met the gaze of her quiet, scrutinizing Sawamura junior and smiled as she replied, "Junior, you're still not very good at social niceties. A guest should act like a guest. Being too casual will make the host dislike you."
Upon hearing the words "guest" and "host," Eriri Sawamura stopped looking at her, simply nodded, turned on the TV, and lazily lay down on the sofa.
Whatever, Yukino and Megumi will handle it. Besides, since she's Mai's friend, Mai should know what's going on. And there's also Yukinoshita Haruno watching the show.
"Whatever you want." Nomiyama opened the large refrigerator, took out noodles from the freezer compartment, and then took out a plate of shrimp. After thinking for a moment, he asked, "Senpai, would you like some noodles? Eriri and I haven't had breakfast yet."
Kasumigaoka Utaha was stunned for a moment. Noodles? Although she had been wanting to eat the noodles her junior made, wasn't this too sudden?
Nomiyama peeked out, surprised that she didn't react.
"Eat." Kasumigaoka Utaha's eyes softened. "Thank you for your hard work, junior."
"it is good."
Nomiyama turned around and began processing the shrimp.
Score the shell, remove the shrimp meat, and devein the shrimp.
Arrange the shrimp shells and shrimp meat separately, then add chopped ginger, scallions, and garlic.
Light the fire, heat the oil, first add the shrimp shells, stir-fry briefly, then add ginger, scallions, and garlic, sauté until fragrant, then add water.
Heat the water, crack in a few eggs, then add noodles and shrimp.
Looking at the large pot of cooked noodles, Nomiyama thought for a moment, opened the refrigerator, pulled out a few bunches of greens, washed them, broke them into pieces, and threw them in.
"Eri, senpai, have some noodles."
As he spoke, he took the lead, picked up his large soup bowl, and then added some chopped chili peppers to enhance the flavor.
Kasumigaoka Utaha watched her junior leave, took a bowl of noodles out of the cabinet, and then looked at the girl picking up noodles, her eyelids twitching.
Why is she like her junior, needing a large soup bowl to eat noodles?
Eriri Sawamura, carrying a large soup bowl in one hand, turned and walked out of the kitchen. When their eyes met, she pointed to the pot and said, "There's one serving left. If you can't finish it, just let me know. If you think it's not enough, just let me know and I'll get some from his bowl for you."
"Ok."
Kasumigaoka Utaha responded, then watched as the Sawamura junior walked out.
Turning around, she looked down at the shrimp noodles in the pot, wondering when she would be the one to personally pick noodles from his bowl instead of having someone else help her.
With a wistful look in her eyes, she began to pick up noodles.
With so many people waiting, let's just wait until school starts.
"Eri, how long do you think these chickens have been raised?" Nomiyama squatted outside the chicken coop, slurping noodles.
Eriri Sawamura looked intently at the hens pecking at the food and shook her head: "I don't know."
"Less than a year? You idiot, even if a house is built quickly, it still takes time. It definitely won't be finished in less than a year."
"Oh." Eriri Sawamura swallowed her noodles, curious. "Do these chickens lay eggs?"
"Yes, she will." Kasumigaoka Utaha walked to their side, looked at them with some curiosity as they squatted side by side, then turned to look at the chickens. "Sometimes, Megumi will go in and take out a few eggs."
As she spoke, she picked up a few noodles and casually tossed them into the chicken coop.
“I see.” Nomiyama imagined the scene that had occurred here, her eyes softening. “Then she must have been very happy.”
He picked up a noodle and slurped it down, chewing it, then frowned and looked at the chickens pecking at the noodles.
Are they eating noodles? My noodles?
Oh no, oh no, oh no, Hui is going to kill me.
Suddenly standing up, Nomiyama opened his eyes wide and looked at the flock of chickens.
The lucky ones were probably the senior students who didn't get many noodles; they only got to eat a few roosters and hens, and most of the others didn't get any food.
His gaze lingered on the chickens until they began to convulse.
Nomiyama turned around, holding the bowl, and walked into the house.
After finishing my noodles, I should go outside to avoid being scolded by Hui.
Kasumigaoka Utaha frowned as she watched her junior leave as soon as he arrived.
"Cough cough!" Eriri Sawamura coughed and stood up, looking at the chickens that had collapsed and were convulsing with a strange expression. She glanced at her senior and explained, "I heard Megumi say before that the things that guy makes can't be fed to chickens. They're poisonous to chickens and will die if they eat them."
She turned around and walked into the house as well.
I'll tattle on Hui when she gets back, haha.
Upon hearing the explanation, Kasumigaoka Utaha turned to look at the chickens that had stopped convulsing, then looked down at her own hands.
Does this mean I've killed a chicken?
......
"Is the senior also buying books?"
Nomiyama stretched and looked at the people who had followed him.
“You can never have too many books, after all, reading is my hobby.” Kasumigaoka Utaha walked beside him, her steps lighter.
She rested her hand on her chin, seemingly puzzled: "But I'm quite surprised that Sawamura-senpai didn't go out with you."
Nomiyama glanced at his house, thought of the person dozing off on the sofa, and then thought of the time he spent last night, scratching his head: "She was probably just tired."
"I see." Kasumigaoka Utaha looked at the cherry blossoms in front of her, took off her headband, put her hands behind her back, and let the spring breeze blow the cherry blossoms and her hair.
"I'm very happy, senior." Nomiyama looked at the person next to her who exuded a lighthearted vibe.
“Of course.” Kasumigaoka Utaha removed her headband and brushed her hair aside. “Junior, please realize one thing: I suppose I have feelings for you.”
It's just a crush, so it doesn't count as a confession.
Nomiyama picked a few cherry blossoms and put them in her mouth: "Senior, I won't think about romance anymore."
Kasumigaoka Utaha simply smiled and said, "No rush. If I don't think about it now, I'll think about it later."
"Whatever you want." Nomiyama chewed on a flower petal, lost in thought.
"What are you thinking about, junior?" Kasumigaoka Utaha quickly noticed his absent-mindedness.
"I was thinking about last night." Nomiyama glanced at her and didn't hide anything. "Eriri told me that when you're with someone you like, you can talk endlessly and see endless scenery."
“Sawamura-senpai is quite knowledgeable,” Kasumigaoka Utaha agreed.
"Yeah, he knows more than some light novel writer who has no experience with romance." Nomiyama blurted out these words unconsciously.
"I know more than some love idiot who's had a lot of relationships." Kasumigaoka Utaha looked at him, who had suddenly started to provoke her, and raised her lips.
"A complete idiot when it comes to love? Is the senior talking about that bestselling romance light novel author who has no dating experience?"
"It refers specifically to a super scumbag who has dated several girlfriends."
"How can someone who doesn't understand love... huh?"
Nomiyama turned his head to look at the little girl who had appeared beside him. He grinned and reached out to put his hand on her head: "Yuko, it's been a long time."
Kitahara Yuko slapped his hand away and looked at him coldly: "We're not that close, you'd better keep your distance."
Kasumigaoka Utaha looked at the person who suddenly appeared on his other side and chose to remain silent. When playing with her junior, there were always some special situations that might arise, so it was better to be sensible.
"What are you saying, Yuko? I even held you when you were little." Nomiyama felt a little hurt. "You were the one who called Kazehaya first back then."
“You’ve mistaken them for someone else. Those are Ryoko.” Kitahara Yuko said expressionlessly.
"Ryoko?" Nomiyama thought of that unlucky Ryoko he used to know.
“Well, since it’s on my way, I’ll wish her a smooth and successful life.” Kitahara Yuko confirmed his guess.
"Thank you for your help," Nomiyama said softly.
Yuko, of course, didn't care about that unlucky guy named Ryoko, and of course, she wouldn't suddenly become kind-hearted. She probably helped him out of consideration for him when she was reincarnated.
“I’m not here to talk about this.” Kitahara Yuko didn’t want to say anything more.
“Yes, go ahead.” Nomiyama’s expression became more serious.
"My sister is dead."
Nomiyama stopped and looked at her quietly.
Kitahara Yuko turned around, her young face full of seriousness: "She died before my eyes. She didn't reincarnate, she didn't become a ghost. She disappeared completely in the Sanzu River, leaving no trace."
Nomiyama's expression remained unchanged as he simply looked at her.
A flicker of sadness crossed Kitahara Yuko's eyes: "Even if it were the old you, you couldn't turn back time, otherwise you would have tried it already."
"Kazehaya, whatever choice you make, whatever life you live, I won't stop you. But don't even think about this."
Nomiyama patted himself down, didn't answer her, but simply handed her a piece of candy: "Okay, I'm going to buy books."
"You already have everything you could want in this world. You have people you like, people who like you, joys and sorrows, and all kinds of friends. You are already happy enough."
Nomiyama grabbed the senior's wrist and led her away from there.
"Why can't you understand? Your present situation is exactly what your sister has been hoping for. Do you really want your sister to never have peace?"
"She's dead, you know that better than anyone."
Nomiyama stopped and turned around: "What's the point of you telling me all this if you let her come and talk to me?"
Kitahara Yuko frowned: "My sister is dead."
“It’s not like I made her die.” Nomiyama muttered, turning around and continuing to walk forward. “If she dies, I’ll just revive her. It’s that simple.”
Kitahara Yuko's body trembled, her hands moved again and again, she had an urge to grab a knife and chop him.
An unreasonable and stubborn person.
After walking for a while, Nomiyama looked down again and said to the side, "Why did you come here again? We're old acquaintances, I don't want to argue with you."
Kitahara Yuko said expressionlessly, "I came out to buy candied apples. Ryoko wants to eat candied apples."
Nomiyama looked at her little princess dress and said, "Oh, you're such a nice older sister."
......
"Junior, although I don't mind, when are you going to let go?"
Kasumigaoka Utaha looked at her wrist that had been grabbed and blinked twice.
Nomiyama snapped out of his daze, glanced at it, and let go: "Sorry, I wasn't paying attention."
"It's alright." Kasumigaoka Utaha didn't seem to care about having her wrist grabbed, but instead glanced at his empty side and asked curiously, "Was that girl the twin from next door? What's her story?"
Nomiyama looked around and walked towards the milk tea shop by the roadside: "Well, I guess so."
Kasumigaoka Utaha followed, her eyes beginning to light up with excitement: "Can I tell you?"
Nomiyama ordered milk tea with the shop assistant and leaned against the wall: "Yes, for example, Yuko's younger sister, that unlucky senior we met before, Ryoko-senpai."
Kasumigaoka Utaha ordered her milk tea, her eyes widening: "That twin sister, Ryoko-senpai?"
"Reincarnation is just like that, ending this life and starting the next one."
"Ryoko-senpai, she's really had a stroke of good luck in her life. Her parents are open-minded, she has a great older sister, and her neighbor is a junior from school."
Kasumigaoka Utaha sighed, then looked at him, looked at him.
Nomiyama looked at the clouds in the sky: "I don't really know how to begin. My memories are fragmented; I only know the general outline of the past."
Kasumigaoka Utaha waited quietly.
"It's roughly like this: a long time ago, before I was human, someone died in order to make me human."
"Then her sister felt that everything was already set in stone and advised me not to think about it anymore, to live my life well, and that was it."
"You've gone too far with your answer," Kasumigaoka Utaha said with a wry smile.
