Otherwise, how can we say that Eriri is too thoughtful and inactive, or that she's stupid...?
Following Sayuri's gaze, Nomiyama asked curiously, "I thought you wouldn't have looked for me if Eriri hadn't come today."
Sawamura Sayuri walked to the French windows, drew back the curtains, and glanced back at him: "Because I need to talk to you about something."
Do you need something from me?
Nomiyama thought for a moment, then got out of bed and walked towards her: "You want me to go find Eriri."
Without hesitation, he made a simple judgment and came to a conclusion.
"Hmm, judging from her situation, it seems she won't come today. When she returns to Chiba tomorrow, she'll only be more hesitant." Sayuri Sawamura looked down at the chaotic and mottled Tokyo, subconsciously putting her hands behind her back.
High above.
Nomiyama watched her posture, his eyes flickering slightly.
Sayuri rarely displayed the air of a superior who controlled the behemoth that was Sawamura's family in front of him. Today's behavior was probably just a subconscious reaction as she looked at the Tokyo night.
He took a few steps, stood beside her, and looked down at Tokyo as well, then spoke.
"No."
Sawamura Sayuri paused for a moment, then let go, raised her foot, and kicked.
She broke down in a second.
"What do you mean 'don't want'!"
"No means no." Nomiyama quietly withdrew the kick, looking completely innocent. "There's always next time. If it doesn't work this time, we can do it next time."
"Anyway, Yukinoshita isn't saying anything right now, so there's plenty of time."
"You make it sound so easy! What if Eriri stays a coward forever?" Sayuri Sawamura looked up and glared at him.
"It shouldn't be that bad." Nomiyama rubbed his chin. "Besides, why are you in such a hurry? We're only sixteen. It's not like we can have a baby right after we start dating."
No hurries?
Sawamura Sayuri paused slightly, glanced at him, fell silent, and looked down at Tokyo again.
Perhaps I was indeed a bit hasty, but I just couldn't express those little thoughts in my heart.
Because I'm thinking that you're dating Eriri, can we maintain a proper distance? I just can't bring myself to say that; I can only try to push things along.
Nomiyama didn't notice the quiet around him. He stretched out his right hand, put it inside his bathrobe, and hung it casually.
"Speaking of which, Lily, it seems like we rarely chat like this."
"What? You're not satisfied with Line chat?" Sawamura Sayuri said without changing her expression.
“You haven’t been chatting with me much on Line lately either,” Nomiyama added.
"Oh, that's just my imagination. I feel like the chat history is quite long."
“Most of these are old records, Sayuri. We haven’t talked in a long time.” Nomiyama looked at the car accident on the street, where thick smoke billowed and the car was completely totaled and on fire.
“It’s only been a few months, how long is that?” Sawamura Sayuri said.
So the two of them fell silent at the same time.
After a while, Sayuri Sawamura changed the subject: "If I remember correctly, this should be your first time leaving Chiba?"
"Yeah, I never thought about what I would do if I came out here. I'm quite happy staying in Chiba."
"how do you feel?"
"It's alright. If I have the chance, I'd like to visit Tokyo Bay. I've heard that they often drive people into concrete piles and sink them into the bay."
“There’s nothing to see. People look the same when they’re screaming and begging for mercy; they look the same after they’re made into a stake.” Sayuri Sawamura thought for a moment and shook her head.
“I see,” Nomiyama replied.
Then the air became quiet again.
"Sayuri, has Tokyo always been like this?" Nomiyama looked at the seemingly sleepless city with a touch of melancholy.
"This look? What look?" Sayuri Sawamura asked, somewhat curious about his opinion.
Nomiyama thought about his experience yesterday afternoon after being dropped off at the train station and then going to catch the train. He touched his waist and said, "It was crowded, busy, and then everyone fell silent."
"Has Tokyo always been like this, bustling yet quiet?"
"Pretty much." Sayuri Sawamura looked down at the brightly lit city that seemed to never sleep.
"The so-called city that never sleeps only describes its entertainment attributes; such cities often have little to do with human warmth."
Nomiyama watched as the accident site was gradually cordoned off, with onlookers taking photos and recording the scene.
He moved slightly closer to the window: "It must be really tough to make it in a city like this."
“Life requires money, and hardship is unavoidable.” Sayuri Sawamura glanced at him, then changed the subject again. “If you want, everything in the Sawamura family is yours, and you don’t have to work hard.”
"Everything?" Nomiyama turned his head to look at her.
“Yes, everything.” Sayuri Sawamura said seriously.
“You’re lying to me. It’s not everything.” Nomiyama turned his head and continued to look out the window at the world.
Sawamura Sayuri remained silent, took a deep breath, and then another: "Are you sick?"
"Hmm?" Nomiyama looked at her. "Am I sick? You were the one who gave yourself the medicine in the first place."
"That was an accident! What's the point of you thinking about that all day?" Sayuri Sawamura gritted her teeth.
"What? Am I the only one thinking about it? If you don't want to, why are you in such a hurry to let Eriri date? And why don't you reply to my messages all day?" Nomiyama was getting annoyed.
"What do you mean I'm not replying to your messages? You just post a picture of your bento box all day and say 'It's delicious,' how am I supposed to reply?"
"What do you mean, how should I reply? I complimented your bento box, and you don't know how to respond, do you?"
"Did I ask you to praise me?"
"Then don't do it."
"I just love making bento boxes, what's wrong with that?"
"So if I praise you, do you have a problem with that?"
"I have a problem with that!" Sayuri Sawamura kicked him. "You have nothing to say except for the bento box, huh!"
"Oh, you'll reply if I say something else? You're kidding yourself." Nomiyama looked at her with a sneer.
"How will you know if you don't try!" Sayuri Sawamura kicked her again.
"I didn't try it? I specifically took pictures of those matching outfits, and you didn't say a word." Nomiyama stretched his hand out from his bathrobe. "I only found out yesterday that you gave all those matching outfits to Eriri."
"Didn't I send you photos? I already took pictures of those couple outfits, and I had the shop send you a copy, but you didn't receive it?" Sayuri Sawamura had her own reasons. "I already have pictures, why are you sending me pictures of clothes? What am I supposed to reply to?"
Do you need so many reasons to reply to messages?
“I specially added some chicken to today’s meal because you like to eat chicken. I’ve been practicing spicy cooking recently because you like spicy and strong flavors. You like to eat fish, so I’ve been cutting some sashimi for you every day.”
"What's wrong with responding to these questions?" Nomiyama calmed down and looked at her.
"The bento box is right there, I eat it every day."
Sayuri Sawamura looked at him, her expression gradually turning cold.
"Nomi Yamakaze, don't presume to give meaning to everything."
"Chicken was added because Eriri likes it, spicy dishes were made because Eriri wanted to adapt to your taste, and sashimi was just for convenience."
After saying that, she turned around.
Then my hand was grabbed.
Nomiyama watched as the black-haired twin-tailed girl was about to leave and grabbed her wrist.
"These things don't convince me."
Nomiyama pulled him back with a little force, then embraced him and lowered his head.
Sawamura Sayuri was somewhat taken aback, because she hadn't expected him to be so extreme, or rather, brave, or reckless.
In that moment of hesitation, all defenses were completely destroyed.
Bite him?
It seems I can't bite into it.
Nomiyama didn't think too much; he just tried to absorb and be greedy.
A moment later, he felt the weakness in the person in his arms, picked them up, but didn't stop moving.
He kissed her as they fell onto the soft bed together.
They rolled around, their breathing grew heavier, and their movements became more unrestrained.
"Boom boom boom!"
There was a knock on the door.
The action paused.
Nomiyama pulled the blanket over them.
Sawamura Sayuri lay on his chest, feeling the cool skin exposed, trying to slow her rapid breathing.
Letting out a breath, Nomiyama looked at Eriri, who had just walked in through the door: "Why do you have my room key?"
"What? You have a problem with that?" Eriri Sawamura glared at him with displeasure.
"No, I just think you're a pervert." Nomiyama tried to calm his breathing.
"Pervert my foot! This hotel is owned by my family, of course I can take any room key I want." Eriri Sawamura rolled her eyes, sat on the edge of the bed, then looked at him suspiciously, "Why are you breathing so fast?"
Why are you breathing so fast?
Nomiyama subconsciously reached out and placed her hand above the blanket, where her head was resting.
After stroking it a couple of times, Nomiyama looked up at the ceiling and said, "Maybe there's something wrong with my body?"
"Nonsense." Eriri Sawamura was too lazy to pay attention to his nonsense.
She reached for the remote and turned on the TV.
The TV was showing a Marvel movie, and Eriri Sawamura was a little disappointed.
It's not that she dislikes Marvel movies; she just feels that it would be better if this were a romance movie.
"So, Eriri, is something the matter?"
Nomiyama was a little curious because he really thought the other party wouldn't come again today.
Under the covers, Sayuri Sawamura stopped pinching him and listened intently to the conversation outside.
"Can't I come to you for no reason?" Eriri Sawamura glared at him.
"It's up to you." Nomiyama didn't seem to care. He glanced at the TV, which showed the ultimate scene of Iron Man snapping his fingers at Thanos.
He looked more serious; in this kind of situation, one had to be serious.
"The wind blows early."
"Hmm?" Nomiyama shifted his gaze from the fallen Iron Man and turned to look at her.
Sawamura Sayuri, press your fingers harder.
Eriri, go for it! He's a womanizer and a scumbag, just go for it and you'll win him over.
"When we get back, let's go see the fireworks festival together with Yukino."
Eriri Sawamura laughed, her smile wide and bright.
Nomiyama was slightly taken aback.
Then, her eyes softened, and she nodded: "Okay, we'll go to Yukinoshita's house to find her then."
Eriri Sawamura looked up, thought for a moment, and hesitantly asked him, "Yukino's family seems to have very strict rules, is it okay for her to come out?"
Nomiyama thought for a moment, then laughed: "Let's go to Yukinoshita's house, take her out of prison, and run away from home with her."
"Like when you were in sixth grade?" Eriri Sawamura asked, her eyes wide.
"How do you know about sixth grade? I didn't tell you anything about that." Nomiyama was somewhat surprised.
