It wouldn't do that, but it would bring something even more powerful with it! Seeing that the time was ripe, Fidel flew to the cave entrance. With the chanting of a spell, a portion of his magic that had been reserved was fully mobilized and smashed straight down into the depths of the cave. After finishing the spell, Fidel did not immediately dodge. Instead, he took out a small obsidian knife and, without hesitation, cut off the little finger on his left hand, letting the tiny bit of flesh fall to the ground.

“Merciful Dragon Queen, I beg you!” Fidel’s eyes blazed with fanaticism. Without warning, his blood boiled and burned at his wound, instantly sealing it. “Dark Lady, after chaos, after immortality, the calamity of Bahamut! I beg for your arrival!”

"Oh no!" Veruna screamed in horror. "Lord Raslaufer! Retreat! Don't go any closer! He's going to—"

"Let your avatar bring back the glory of the dragon to this land!"

Only then did Fidel soar into the sky, his face contorted with rage as he glared down at Raslaufer, who had ignored the unicorn's warning: "Raslaufer! Come forward! If you dare! You will be the first dessert after the Queen's arrival!"

"The Queen?" Leslaufer responded with a sneer, while simultaneously accelerating towards the mountaintop. "Whoever you are, if she wants something, she'll have to get it herself..."

Before he finished speaking, the hillside beneath his feet, and even the entire mountain, shook violently, forcing Raslaufer to stop for a moment. As he looked up, he saw a huge dragon head with prominent horns emerging from a cave at the top of the mountain, lava dripping from its body. Countless sparks and lava solidified and flowed on its surface, eventually transforming into a black, skeletal face—it was a black dragon!

But the tremors of the mountain did not stop!

Reslaufer tried to withstand the pressure and continue upwards, but as the second white dragon head and the third green dragon head emerged from the cave, it felt as if three mountains were pressing down on Reslaufer's shoulders and back, making each step require a great deal of energy. And as the fourth blue dragon head, surging with electricity, pierced between the three heads, it felt as if an even greater burden had been added to Reslaufer's body, but this was still not the end.

"Roar—" Raslaufer struggled to take another step upwards, but as if feeling offended, the four enormous heads looked at the tiny human and roared at Dobul. At the cave entrance, beneath Raslaufer's feet, a fifth, even more ferocious and terrifying roar seemed to echo the other four heads. But the next second, starting from the mountainside, the mountain above shattered with a violent tremor.

What emerged from within was the head of a red dragon, far larger, stronger, and more powerful than the other four heads!

“Witness,” Fidel bowed in worship from the air, “that this world will also have the honor of being ruled by Tiamat!”

Chapter 682 The Death Cloud from the Sky

That is... Tiamat's incarnation?

How do we defeat this?

Raslaufer looked up at the five dragon heads that seemed to be dancing wildly in mid-air, and even he couldn't help but feel a little dazed.

Although Tiamat, as a member of the dragons, is portrayed more as a beast in various legends, one thing is undeniable—she is a true ancient deity! Ancient and powerful, ferocious and cunning!

A huge rock fell from the sky as the mountain shook. Raslaufer dodged to the side, and only then did he see a massive dragon claw emerging from the ground, its size matching the neck of the five-headed dragon.

That boulder, which could have crushed him into a meat patty, could be easily grasped in the palm of a hand!

Even with enough courage and strength, the sheer size difference makes challenging such a being virtually impossible!

Indeed, it is unbeatable, so what?

Raslaufer sensed something burning beneath the fallen man, and whatever it was, he was certain of one thing: that was the only thing he should do now, to rush up and give the big guy a good whack!

Upon realizing this, Dobulle no longer hesitated. Around him, one after another, spiritual essences began to burn and dissipate, as if serving as fuel to propel him forward. Under these circumstances, Raslaufer unleashed astonishing speed, even charging towards this magnificent avatar, its target being the red dragon head that was clearly the dominant one!

“Damn it, you’re really stubborn,” Chargiji clicked his tongue as he watched the warrior focus all his attention on Tiamat’s avatar. “You really think you have a chance? You should surrender already, maybe you can still—”

Before the skeleton could finish its rambling, Tiamat's avatar sensed Reslaufer's presence. Looking at this target, so vastly different in size, the avatar felt as if it were seeing an insect swarming towards its face. The five dragon heads roared in unison, and without hesitation, its outstretched claw slapped towards Reslaufer!

Theologians might interpret this as the incarnation's disgust and anger at Raslaufer's disrespect, which led to the attack. However, in Raslaufer's view, the other party was more likely startled by his sudden attack and instinctively tried to drive him away.

However, given its size, even a casual wave of its hand was enough to send Leslaufer flying backward, crashing heavily into the dust.

"Uncle Raslaufer!" Angelita had never seen Raslaufer defeated so easily before. Her heart was in her throat, and she even subconsciously wanted to go forward to check on him, but Veruna blocked her way and stopped her.

“Don’t go over there, Anne,” the unicorn warned. “Can you be any more resilient than Lord Leslaufer?”

"Resilience? You mean..."

Just as Angelita was about to say something, she saw Leslaufer suddenly spring to his feet as if nothing had happened and charge forward again. His posture suggested that he wouldn't rest in peace until he left something on his avatar, and the hellfire flowing from the gaps in the broken blades made him look even more like a completely irrational demon driven solely by its bloodlust.

However, even with Raslaufer's martial arts skills, he could not easily get close to Tiamat's avatar. Every time he approached, the spirits around him would be consumed again. Tiamat's reaction to him was merely to swing its claws. Not to mention breathing, it would hardly even bite.

Even humans are unlikely to bite an insect when it comes flying at them.

Even so, it was already an immense challenge for Raslaufer. Everyone on the battlefield held their breath, watching Raslaufer launch attack after attack that was almost always fruitless, only to be swatted back by his avatar. Even they themselves struggled to understand: did they hope Raslaufer would succeed, or did they hope he would die here?

"Wait, look!" Suddenly, Edward pointed to Leslaufer, who was charging again. "He dodged it! He dodged a blow! And he's still moving forward!"

Just as Edward said, Raslaufer narrowly dodged the claw. He used the rock face to leap over it and finally took a few steps forward before the avatar could react. Just as the avatar was about to stop him, the Black Flame Greatsword pierced into the underside of the weakest white dragon head of the avatar like an iron nail!

The scalding hot yet extremely cold blood immediately gushed out, so much so that it almost turned Raslaufer into a blood-soaked figure.

"Hiss—ha!" Raslaufer was sent flying again, but when he stood up, he let out a burst of maniacal laughter. "That's great! That's how it should be! Even if you kill me now, you've already paid your dues, but I bet you can't kill me, because I'm the kind of guy even Tiamat would bleed for!"

Raslaufer lifted his foot, seemingly intending to charge forward again, but in the end he only staggered and could only barely steady himself by leaning on his greatsword.

Although he had previously fought countless battles without exhaustion thanks to his life-absorbing ability similar to that of a Soul Eater amidst a vast army, he had now indeed exceeded his limits—as if he had released his last breath after delivering a successful blow, Leslaufer was now unable to move an inch.

But this time, the avatar had no intention of letting him go. The wounded white dragon head twisted its neck and let out a terrible howl, while the other four heads reached out towards Leslaufer. The enormous body that had been hidden under the mountain moved and revealed most of its full form.

Four different energies of breath rushed toward Leslaufer from four angles, all for the purpose of completely annihilating this mortal insect that Tiamat found so annoying and infuriating!

Raslaufer did not dodge, even though it was difficult for him to do so at this moment. But Dople still drew his black flame greatsword, pulled out his battle blade with his left hand, and sneered as he prepared to meet this blow that could easily reduce flesh and blood to nothingness.

Idas's protection was pale and powerless before the incarnation of another deity, and was simply insufficient to provide him with protection. Therefore, perhaps his journey was about to end here...?

A rumbling thunder suddenly rose from the horizon and rolled rapidly toward the battlefield. Even though everyone had been focused on Leslaufer, they had to look up to find the source of the sound, and even Leslaufer himself was no exception.

However, what they heard seemed like an illusion. No matter how they searched, they could not find any trace of the source of the sound between the sky and the clouds. Just as they began to doubt the reality of it all, the Tiamat avatar of the Reslaufer that was about to be killed suddenly roared and raised half of its body to the sky, forcibly changing the direction of its breath and pouring its firepower towards an empty spot in the sky.

Just then, Raslaufer heard a roar that seemed somewhat familiar to him come from the rolling breaths:

"Tiamat, my queen, I am so—happy to see you!"

A breath of poisonous mist, even more ferocious and powerful than the green dragon head of Tiamat's avatar, transformed into a sky full of death clouds and retaliated against Tiamat's avatar!

Chapter 683 From the Realm of Refusal to Fight

What is that?!

No one knew until they peered through the hazy, dead clouds and gazed at the dark green mass that covered half the sky.

It looked like a giant winged serpent with an exaggeratedly long head, neck, and tail. Yet, even so, it was still able to soar through the sky with a pair of wings that paled in comparison to its torso. Specks of arcane light were released from between its scales as it moved, pouring down unreservedly onto Tiamat's avatar below.

Most of those present were unaware of its identity, with only Raslaufer and Angelita among those who were conscious. They had visited its lair beneath the Colin Otto Mountains, and its form and appearance were beyond their comprehension. What they could not possibly mistake was the staff that was stuck diagonally into the green dragon's horn. The crystal at its tip reflected a fantastical blue-green light under the sunlight shining above the dragon. It was a pale blue, translucent crystal, and inside it seemed to contain a cluster of everlasting crown grass, the two together creating that bizarre blue-green radiance.

“The Tears of Edas!” Angelita exclaimed. “Then it must be—”

No one could steal Adas's artifacts from the lair of such a dragon!

"My name is... Esmir! The greatest green dragon, the hero collector, the guardian dragon of the land, the bite of Otto the Golin!" The green dragon's body was as agile as a snake even in the air. When its avatar began to counterattack, it easily twisted its body to dodge the fatal attack, while continuing to proclaim its unfinished title, "And, the guardian dragon of the land of resistance!"

"what?!"

These words caused an uproar. Those who did not know of Esmir's existence could not imagine how a green dragon could mingle with the druids of the Rejection Realm, while those who did know of its existence were even more incredulous!

"Are you crazy? You even refused my invitation!" Among the crowd, the most shocked and indignant was undoubtedly Fidel the Dragon. He knew of the existence of this ancient green dragon and had even made a special trip to visit it, but he was turned away several times in a row! Even when the other party finally reluctantly summoned him, he showed no intention of moving. Fidel just stood there like a lackey, listening to it tell stories of the ancient people and treasures it had collected!

So now it's actually on the opposite side?! Why didn't we just kill him, Fidel, back then? Why go through all this trouble?!

“Esmir, get your facts straight!” Chargigi roared at it as well. “Standing before you is the incarnation of Queen Tiamat! How dare you be so disrespectful?! Have you sided with those nature deities?”

"Naturally..." This question seemed to sting the green dragon, causing it to find time to unleash a deadly ray of poison while facing its avatar—poison has no effect on the undead, this was merely a way for it to express its dissatisfaction.

“I have never yielded to Adas! Nor am I her believer or follower! My Queen, I have never betrayed you—”

The green dragon roared, but its actions contradicted its words. Facing the attack of Tiamat's avatar, Esmir not only did not yield, but launched an even fiercer counterattack. Although its opponent was an avatar of a powerful deity, this material world was its territory, and besides, there was another deity behind it!

A phantom of a tree spirit with blue-green hair flashed past the green dragon. Her presence caused the ten vertical pupils of the avatar to shrink instantly. Just as Fidel and Chargigi were preparing to join the battle and assist the avatar in overwhelming the green dragon, a loud ape cry rang out from the green dragon's back. A red light shot down like lightning. Fidel quickly dodged, but Chargigi was not so lucky and was hit head-on, immediately plummeting to the ground!

Only then did everyone realize that it wasn't a red light at all, but a giant ape with red fur that was over two meters tall!

"Squeak, squeak, roar!" The giant ape ignored the gazes of others and, seeing that it had landed a blow, did not let up its advantage. Its two crucible-sized fists rained down on the skeleton below. With a series of booming sounds, in just a moment, as the dust settled, the skeleton on the ground was now just "bones," and the humanoid form was no longer visible.

This skeleton is nothing but a skeleton!

"Fidel, ah! Fidel!" Chargigi could still speak as the giant ape grasped the skull, still flickering with a faint glow, but his life was nearing its end. "I can't go on... prophecy, vision! Fidel, you must help me—"

"Smack!" Chargiji was ultimately unable to finish his last words. As the giant ape slammed the head down on its own head, shattered bones scattered everywhere, just like the soul that had lain dormant for centuries within.

As if troubled, the giant ape casually dusted off the powder on its head, then turned around and walked towards Leslaufer and Angelita.

“You are…” Angelita glanced at it for a moment, finally confirming the identity of this “giant ape,” and was immediately overjoyed, “Sister Bella! You’re here too!”

As Angelita finished speaking, the giant ape immediately shrunk to the size of a normal person. With its long red hair cascading down its shoulders like a waterfall, Bella rushed over and gave Annie a big hug.

“If it weren’t for this big guy being so stubborn, I should have come much sooner,” Bella said, glancing up at the green dragon that was locked in fierce combat with its avatar. “After Veruna left, for some reason this guy abandoned the Golin Otto Mountains and ran off to the Rejection Zone to become the guardian of the forest. I heard you needed support, and you couldn’t just leave a giant dragon unused, could you? But I didn’t expect it to take so long to arrive, and we didn’t even have a portal to use.”

The unicorn blinked in a human-like manner, but didn't say much—she only knew that someone would take her place, but she had no idea why it would be this green dragon.

"Speaking of which, how did you end up like this?" Bella looked at Verunara carrying the two on her back, a hint of self-reproach flashing in her eyes. "Never mind, since I'm here, there's no reason for you to go any further—Leslaufer, do you still have the strength?"

A flaming blade fell into the druid's hand. Raslaufer looked at her, the flames reflected in her icy blue eyes, and a smile involuntarily crept onto her lips once more.

"Your question is unnecessary—slaughter them!"

Chapter 684 The Lying Green Dragon

Fidel was certain that his scorching rays had pierced through Raslaufer's body, as there were three bright, transparent holes there. But what he couldn't understand was that even after suffering such a severe blow, Raslaufer was still able to continue attacking him.

Fidel could no longer maintain his aerial dominance—when two dragons clashed in the air, the wisest course of action was to avoid approaching either one. One sorcerer after another fell before him, but the spells of Dragon's Finger and his minions were hardly enough to halt his advance.

If only Rodriguez were still here, or at the very least, Mascara could stand in front of him and help him hold out for a while.

At the critical moment, Fidel finally remembered his two capable subordinates, but now, neither of them could stand up anymore.

"Queen, I beg you!" Left with no other choice, Longzhi had to appeal to the power of the gods, hoping to regain the upper hand. "Help me, defeat our enemies!"

"Roar!"

Tiamat's avatar let out an unhappy roar, but responded to his request. In mid-air, the monster with five dragon heads emerged, revealing the blue and green dragon heads. As it tore a large chunk of flesh from Esmir's body, the red head loudly chanted an unknown incantation. Flame runes appeared out of thin air and continuously overlapped on Fidel's body, causing the warlock to groan in great pain!

"Leslaufer, now's the time!" Bella shouted urgently, and at the same time, she darted out like an arrow, her flaming blade trailing a long tail of flame, mercilessly slashing towards Fidel's neck.

Although most of Edas's followers do not advocate solving problems with violence, Bella has always been an exception.

Meanwhile, Leslaufer was no slower than Bella. He raised his sword as well, seizing the opportunity when Fidel instinctively raised his arm to block, and slashed diagonally towards his ribs. Even though the warlock's body was covered in dragon-scale-like scales, under such a pincer attack, he would surely be severely injured even if his scales weren't severed.

However, just when the two thought they had succeeded, Raslaufer's expression changed slightly. He lashed out at Bella with his other hand like a steel whip, throwing the druid far away. The dragon claw that did not hit its target immediately struck him squarely in the chest.

“Flames…how interesting,” Fidel’s face was contorted in extreme pain, displaying numerous dragon-like features. Scales ripped from beneath his mangled flesh, forming a horrifying face. He crushed the out-of-control flame blade into countless sparks, then stepped on Raslaufer, grinning as he looked down at Dople. “As for you, you really enjoy showing off, don’t you?”

"Master!" "Lord Raslaufer!" Skadi and several dragonborn rushed over almost simultaneously, but the dragonborn were obviously faster than the nearly exhausted yellow horse, easily leaving Skadi behind. Several spells were unleashed, but when they hit Fidel, they didn't even leave a scratch.

They have become stronger than before, but so has Fidel.

"You...you are also a Dragonborn?!" Jinmian stared in disbelief at the scene. She picked up the black flame greatsword that Leslaufer had discarded and slashed it with all her might at the back of the dragon finger, but she only got the same result as Bella - Fidel easily grabbed the greatsword.

“If he were here, it might be a little harder to handle,” Fidel said with a sneer, looking down at Leslaufer. “But unfortunately, you don’t have much strength left, do you?”

"And one more thing, I'm not some dragonborn... call me Dragon Demon!"

As the pair of wings that resembled both a demon and a giant dragon suddenly unfolded behind him, their terrifying power almost materialized, sending the dragonborn flying one after another. Edward tried to retrieve his wand, but as soon as he made that move, Fidel struck him on the back with a claw, instantly knocking the boy back to his original form and rendering him unconscious.

“As for you,” Fidel looked at Leslaufer at his feet, “what were you yelling about earlier? Perhaps I should…”

He was about to make his move when a deafening roar overhead made him look up at the battle between Tiamat's avatar and Esmir. The two dragons seemed to have just engaged in a life-or-death struggle; the ancient green dragon's body plummeted from the sky, its nearly thirty-meter-long serpentine form crashing down upon the palace buildings, reducing King Latour's residence to rubble. Opposite it, Tiamat's avatar also appeared to have suffered considerable damage. After hovering in the air for a while, it landed on a hill, its three claws gripping the crater, while its right forepaw held a crystal staff—the Tear of Adas!

It doesn't speak, but that doesn't mean it lacks intelligence—it is the embodiment of Tiamat. It paid the price of two dragon heads, one white and one black, and even the green and blue dragon heads suffered considerable injuries. The red dragon head only lost one eye. It paid so much, all for this divine artifact!

"Awaken, my child!" Amidst the venomous breath of the green dragon, the avatar no longer roared like a beast. "Your shackles have been removed. Return to my embrace, and the world will tremble for you."

“That artifact is… some kind of control?” Angelita looked at Veruna incredulously, but found that the unicorn was just as astonished as she was.

“No, the Mother of Water wouldn’t do such a thing. She’s not good at scheming, but…” Even a unicorn has things she can’t understand. What makes them even more confused and conflicted is that the green dragon actually stood up and staggered toward the other party after being persuaded by the avatar!

“As you… said…” Esmir’s bright yellow eyes held a bewilderment and a clear folly of someone who had just woken up. He bypassed Fidel and Leslaufer and climbed up the mountain from the side, as if he intended to pay homage to his queen.

But... something just doesn't feel right.

"Stop!" the avatar shouted sharply, but it was too late. "You're too close!"

"As you said!" A hint of ferocity and treachery flashed in the green dragon's eyes for a moment. The dragon's magic was already high on its body, and the arcane aura was worn away. However, as these faded away, an even more sacred power burst forth from Esmir's heart, enveloping the dragon in a water-blue radiance!

"I have never submitted to Adas!" A cold light suddenly burst from its mouth and surged towards the unsuspecting Tiamat avatar!

Green dragons, a species even Bahamut calls the most "dragon-like," may not possess greater physical strength or combat prowess, but few can rival their cunning. Their words are rife with traps and lies. Yet, in this world, one green dragon has gone a step further, reshaping its perceptions over countless years, turning every word and even every emotional fluctuation into a lie.

Even someone as noble as Tiamat could be deceived by it!

Chapter 685 The Final Struggle

Although Fidel had never seen the Tears of Adas in person, when it came into the hands of Tiamat's avatar, even he believed that this artifact had distorted Esmir's perception. Therefore, when the green dragon approached, he, as an observer, was even two beats slower than Tiamat in his reaction. This two-beat difference not only allowed the green dragon to launch a successful sneak attack, but also gave Raslaufer the opportunity to counterattack!

Dobler suddenly raised his leg, and as the heavy iron boot smashed two of Fidel's ribs, Raslaufer also stood up and punched Fidel's cheekbone, which was extremely prominent due to the mutation. Although these could not be considered serious injuries to Fidel, who had already transformed into a dragon demon, the price that Raslaufer had to pay to gain the initiative in the attack was far more than that.

Before the unsteady Fidel could regain his footing, Raslaufer grabbed his horns and slammed his headbutt into Fidel's forehead, shattering the scales. Despite his powerful physique, how could Fidel compare to Raslaufer in close combat? In a matter of moments, he felt dizzy and disoriented. The next second, Raslaufer grabbed his ankles and slammed him headfirst to the ground.

Fidel, who was already dazed, instinctively tried to stand up, but he quickly realized something was wrong—he was still upside down, and that damned mercenary hadn't let go of him!
