"Let go, or I'll—" LeBlanc's fingers twitched slightly, and the chains binding Riven tightened violently. Riven, who had been watching the show in a daze, was suddenly squeezed and was in excruciating pain.

"So you can't beat me, so you just take it out on others? LeBlanc, I realize I've been too lenient with you. If I were to skin you alive like Mordekaiser did, and then refine you into a puppet, would you still dare to challenge me?" With that, the giant hand tore through the void with LeBlanc and disappeared.

Both disappeared from the room, and Riven quickly broke free of the chains binding her, which were no longer maintained by magic. She sat up abruptly in bed, gasping for breath like a stranded fish.

Everything happened so fast that it was over before she could even figure out what was going on. The only thing she understood was that she seemed to have been saved by the Wild Hunt again.

Even she was starting to get confused. Why was the other party helping her like this? Looking at the extra Void Mark in her hand, Riven fell into deep bewilderment.

……

A terrifying feeling overwhelmed LeBlanc, as if she had fallen into an endless vortex. A strange, unknown passage was surrounded by terrifying monsters, all lurking outside the threshold barrier, waiting for their chance to strike...

Purple lightning flashed frequently within the vortex of energy, containing the power to annihilate everything, making LeBlanc's heart tremble. Fortunately, an energy barrier protected her, but this barrier was activated by the Wild Hunt, and now she was trapped like a hamster in the spherical barrier in the clutches of the demon.

"LeBlanc, if I leave you in this passage, you'll be torn apart by the spatial turbulence in less than ten seconds. Even if you manage to tear through space and escape, those lurking void beasts outside will devour you instantly. Now, do you still dare to oppose me?"

"Void, your power truly comes from the Void!" LeBlanc seemed to have discovered something, excitedly touching the barrier repeatedly to confirm: "Why can you use the power of the Void? Isn't that a taboo of life!"

As the Wild Hunt suspected, LeBlanc was indeed from Shurima. Her skin color and the details of her attire subtly suggested this. Because of this, she was acutely aware of the terrifying presence lurking beneath the desert. (The last sentence appears to be unrelated and possibly machine-generated gibberish.)

Before she was transformed into a lich, she had led a team to explore the underground. After being hunted by void creatures and losing most of their companions, getting lost in the underground labyrinth, and then miraculously escaping death, they finally found the location of the regeneration pool.

However, it was not a treasure, but rather the end of annihilation. Seeing their fellow wizards melt away after merely touching a drop of liquid energy, they descended into madness in despair.

LeBlanc narrowly escaped death thanks to a teleportation spell, but she never set foot in the desert again. Shurima was destined to be swallowed by the Void, and she saw no hope. So she came to Valoran seeking refuge, but little did she know that this was just the beginning of her tragedy.

However, LeBlanc had been keeping a close eye on the Void for centuries. She had never heard of anyone returning from that forbidden zone until the appearance of the Daughter of the Void.

She had been trying to figure out what had happened to the Daughter of the Void, but the other woman was always running around the world and never stayed in one place for long, so even she could only catch whiffs of Kai'Sa's exhaust fumes.

Cassiopeia and Elise are cunning and treacherous. Even though they have a relationship with Kasha, they refuse to reveal any information to her, leaving her to gather intelligence bit by bit on her own.

Aside from the Void creature's shell on Kai'Sa, she didn't discover anything else.

But now, seeing how easily the Wild Hunt carried her across the void, LeBlanc finally understood how Kai'Sa could appear in the far south and the far north at the same time. How could she not be excited?

"Since you care so much, then get dressed and come with me."

Chapter 783 A Slight Punishment

As the light and shadow shifted before her eyes, LeBlanc felt herself being propelled by a tremendous inertia, her body uncontrollably thrown out of the void rift.

She rolled several meters across the ground, but fortunately, the thick snow cushioned the impact. Before LeBlanc could figure out why there was snow, she heard a murmur of conversation around her.

"Wow, what a unique way to make an entrance! And who are you two sisters?" Sephie stopped curiously, looking at LeBlanc who had been ejected from the portal.

"Huh? Isn't this the Pale Lady of the Black Rose? I didn't expect to see her again so soon." After LeBlanc rolled over in the snow, Cassiopeia recognized LeBlanc's face and slowly went over to help her up.

"Is she the Faceless Man who's turned Noxus into a mess? Cassiopeia, you said you just saw her not long ago, what happened?" Katarina stood to the side, toying with her dagger, the sharp blade reflecting her malicious gaze as she twirled it. If she weren't awaiting the Wild Hunt's judgment, she might have already made her move.

“I want to know too.” Kai’Sa stood with her arms crossed between the rift and LeBlanc, subtly forming a pincer movement with Katarina, blocking LeBlanc’s retreat.

"Actually, I didn't do anything. I just watched a good show with my master and played the role of the fisherman."

A chill ran through her body as LeBlanc endured the cold and listened to their words, her gaze piercing through the gaps between them to the glacier in the distance. She sighed inwardly, "They actually transported me to Freljord in the blink of an eye. What terrifying teleportation magic. Just who is this person?"

“If you keep playing games with me, I’ll ask her myself.” Katarina grabbed her dagger and stepped forward, ready to interrogate her, when she sensed Wild Hunt emerging from the closing void rift.

"With so many of you surrounding her, aren't you afraid of scaring her?" Wild Hunt spoke in a accusatory tone, but anyone could tell he didn't mean to blame her.

"Who told her to be so infamous? If we don't keep a close eye on her, she might cause some trouble again." Katarina and Wild Hunt played the villains in unison, staring at LeBlanc.

"You're still alive?" LeBlanc frowned. (The rest of the text appears to be gibberish and unrelated to the question.)

"Surprised? You drove a wedge between my parents and tore my home to pieces. If it weren't for my master's intervention, I would probably have died in the Demacian palace long ago."

Cassiopeia, intrigued, chimed in, "Oh, by the way, sister. Her name is LeBlanc. Hmm, I'm sure I'm right."

"You can settle your scores later. Let me say a few words to her." After hearing Wild Hunt's words, Katarina sheathed her dagger and silently stepped aside, turning her gaze to LeBlanc.

"What do you want from bringing me here?" LeBlanc questioned Wild Hunt.

"LeBlanc, you knowingly disobeyed my orders. Since you're interested in my origins, I'll show you!" Wild Hunt roared, "All of you, get out of my way!"

Wild Hunt ascended into the air, and with a flick of his finger, created a mirror that completely separated him from LeBlanc, while also forcing the others back.

LeBlanc was situated on a snow-covered icy plain, while on the other side of the mirror, the Wild Hunt's space was a bizarre and eerie sea of pale purple light. Within it were lakes formed from liquid energy, where the tides of another realm rose and fell, and sharp teeth and claws dragged out wet limbs, reflecting a purple hue that filled LeBlanc's vision.

"This...this is..." Her voice trembled, her gaze fixed as if swallowed whole, recalling that terrifying memory.

"Did you refine the divine essence of Bervis?" Syndra's question helped LeBlanc resolve some of her confusion. Her magic power recovered quickly, and she was now levitating again.

"It's still a long way off; it's just scratching the surface."

"LeBlanc, aren't you best at the illusion of illusion? From now on, as long as you can touch my reflection in the mirror, I can forgive and forget everything that happened before."

Before she could finish speaking, LeBlanc had already cast a Silence spell, taking the initiative. However, the spell struck the mirror, causing only a few ripples, and couldn't penetrate the mirror to reach the Wild Hunt.

"You acted decisively, but now it's my turn."

With a wave of his hand, Wild Hunt unleashed rows of black rays that swept across the land, evaporating the snow into water vapor and leaving corroded and scorched marks on the bedrock.

"What?" LeBlanc sensed the threat of death and quickly dodged, passing through the gaps in the death ray.

Several more waves of death rays swept in, but LeBlanc narrowly escaped, gradually discovering the pattern within them.

The death ray is instantaneous, but each attack is remarkably predictable. The interval between death ray attacks is approximately three seconds, and whether they are arranged in a straight line or crisscross, the spacing between them is never too dense, leaving room for her to pass through.

Clearly, this was a loophole that the Wild Hunt deliberately left for her to exploit. He didn't intend to kill her, but only to make her beg for survival in a sorry state.

"Damn it." LeBlanc waved her staff and shot out a beam of red light, but it was still blocked by the mirror, as if there was an insurmountable chasm between the two of them.

She was becoming increasingly adept at dodging the laser array, even having the leisure to launch counterattacks, but so what? Her attacks were completely ineffective against the Wild Hunt, leaving her only able to passively take hits.

She couldn't summon a clone on the other side of the mirror, nor could she create chains to seal the Wild Hunt, as if the other party was in another space thousands of miles away, far beyond her casting range.

The Wild Hunt's attacks came wave after wave, its power seemingly inexhaustible. Moreover, its attacks began to take an unexpected turn, with rows of plasma bullets tracking it down.

The plasma missile locked onto LeBlanc, tracing a deadly arc in mid-air. This was much harder to dodge than a straight laser, and LeBlanc, unable to shake off the missile in time, could only summon a phantom clone to shield herself from the attack.

Seeing her clone blown to pieces, LeBlanc knew that if her main body had been hit, it would have instantly turned into a pile of mangled flesh. Then, plasma and death rays appeared alternately, attacking from all directions simultaneously, forcing LeBlanc to use teleportation to escape from the deadly situation.

Kai'Sa also realized that the Wild Hunt was deliberately sparing LeBlanc's life, intending only to intimidate her. Otherwise, he could have easily kept the missiles hovering in the air, falling at varying speeds to completely disrupt LeBlanc's rhythm. If he had even slightly disrupted the rhythm and intervals of her attacks, she definitely wouldn't have survived three seconds.

His attack resembled a meticulously choreographed grand performance. With eyes closed, the whistling of missiles and the crackling of lasers seemed to form a stirring battle hymn.

However, LeBlanc, who was in the midst of it all, didn't think so. In her disheveled state, she discovered another pattern: the Wild Hunt's attacks were becoming increasingly difficult to dodge!

Chapter 784 Heading to the Fortress

The laser beams became increasingly dense, the plasma directional speed increased, and the sonic attacks continued throughout. In addition, the demonic claws swept across the battlefield. Even LeBlanc, who was proficient in teleportation, gradually felt overwhelmed.

"My attacks can't get through, but his attacks can. There's no way to fight him. This won't do! If this continues, I'm going to die here!"

Thinking of this, LeBlanc immediately created several phantom clones and fled the battlefield in several directions.

In an instant, a bolt of purple lightning caught up with her and blocked her path, revealing Kai'Sa's figure. Although expressionless, her serious posture with her arms crossed clearly indicated that she wouldn't let her leave easily.

"Such speed! And how did she know where my real body was?" If you want to escape, you have to be decisive. LeBlanc put her surprise and doubts behind her and then used teleportation to transfer herself to another clone, while the phantom that was standing in front of Kai'Sa slowly dissipated.

"Trying to run?" Another person appeared in front of LeBlanc, blocking her path. It was none other than Katarina, a master of teleportation. She looked at LeBlanc with a mocking gaze, as if she were looking at an idiot trying to teach a fish to swim.

Before LeBlanc could cast her spell, Katarina grabbed LeBlanc by the neck and dragged her straight back to the battlefield.

LeBlanc then summoned chains to try and restrict Katarina's movements, but unexpectedly, Katarina also possessed a similar technique. Crimson chains appeared out of thin air, sealing off the space around them first.

Katarina slammed LeBlanc hard onto the mirror, causing her to cough up black blood. The impact caused the seemingly indestructible mirror to crack with a spiderweb pattern before shattering completely.

LeBlanc was completely dumbfounded, never expecting the mirror to break so easily and carelessly. At this moment, Cassiopeia, who was watching the show, couldn't help but add a few more sarcastic remarks.

"LeBlanc, LeBlanc, you only needed to touch the mirror lightly with your body and it would shatter instantly. It would be like winning the game just by touching the mirror. However, you are cunning but not brave. You had so many opportunities, but you didn't touch it even once."

"You—" Upon hearing this, LeBlanc felt a churning in her stomach and, enraged, broke down, vomiting blood. The black blood splattered on the snow was particularly glaring.

The Wild Hunt's power is not something she can easily fathom; each of his retinues is capable of easily defeating her. Continuing to covet him would be tantamount to courting death.

Changing the subject abruptly, she softened her tone, saying, "I admit defeat..."

“You’re quick to admit defeat.” Wild Hunt turned and asked, “Kasha, can you heal her? Don’t accidentally kill her.”

Kasha walked up and grasped LeBlanc's wrist, feeling it carefully before shaking her head: "No, this person has been isolated from life for too long. Although I don't know what method she used to keep her body from decaying, injecting life energy will only backfire."

Wild Hunt wanted Kai'Sa to try resurrecting LeBlanc and then assimilating her, but now it seems there's no need to try; they are destined to be apart.

"You're too curious, LeBlanc. Don't waste your time investigating things that don't concern you; it's for your own good." Wild Hunt gave LeBlanc a piece of advice, then ignored her.

"Get up, it's time for us to settle accounts." Katarina grabbed LeBlanc by the neck and lifted her into the air. Wild Hunt didn't stop her, intending to use her to punish this unruly fellow.

"I advise you not to act recklessly. Part of your parents has been locked inside the shrine! If you don't touch me, they'll be fine, but if anything happens to me, they won't be safe either!"

"Where is the shrine?!" Upon hearing this, Katarina felt a surge of rage and gripped LeBlanc's neck even tighter, leaving a dark purple handprint on it.

Just then, the faint cracking sound of ice crystals drew everyone's attention. Everyone looked at Portil, who was staring intently at an ice wall not far away, and realized that the ice wall was abnormally and rapidly breaking off ice crystals.

"That's... Black Ice?" Katarina loosened her grip slightly, giving LeBlanc a moment to catch her breath.

The clusters of ice quickly grew into a giant ice coffin, within which a tall, dark shadow gradually emerged. Then, the ice clusters suddenly exploded, and the flying ice crystal fragments made the group instinctively raise their hands to dodge.

When they opened their eyes again, they saw a tall woman slowly emerging from the swirling frost and mist. She arrived riding on ice blades, dressed in a magnificent long gown, her figure unmoved by the fierce wind. Her skin was as cold as a corpse, as pale as fresh snow, like a lifelike ice sculpture.

She stood high above, looking down on everyone. Her extraordinary aura made LeBlanc feel like a greenhorn in her presence. Her icy blue eyes seemed to pierce through an ice storm as she looked at them, and her black lips parted slightly, exuding a chilling aura that seemed to freeze everything.

"What kind of play are you guys putting on?"

The visitor was none other than Lissandra, the mistress of Frostguard Fortress. Kai'Sa and her companions' destination was the Howling Abyss within the fortress. The battle took place only across a glacier from the fortress, so it was quite normal for Lissandra to come out and investigate this little incident happening right on her doorstep.

However, she had not received prior notice from the Wild Hunt, and Kasha and the others arrived uninvited, which displeased her somewhat.

"Lissandra, long time no see," the Wild Hunt greeted as usual. "It's rare to see you outside the fortress. Are you here to greet us personally?"

"I'm just here to see what's going on. By the way, here's a piece of advice: Frostguard Fortress won't be hosting any outsiders for a while, especially uninvited guests."

Lissandra's first words sent a chill down one's spine, her words radiating a wintery indifference that seemed to freeze one's lips and tongue. Wild Hunt could sense that this icy, biting intent was directed at him.

"Are you so eager to turn us away? Don't tell me you're hiding something?"

"I'm busy reinforcing the seal and reorganizing the entire fortress, so I don't have time to entertain you."

"Reinforce the seal? Give me a break. You know perfectly well why we're here. We're already prepared, how could we let you keep delaying us?" Kasha stepped forward and said.

"Lissandra, there's no room for negotiation on this. If you don't want it to escalate into a bloody conflict, you'd better not let me see the city gates closed when we arrive at the fortress."

The Wild Hunt's domineering nature showed that he had made up his mind. Lissandra frowned and said nothing more. The ice sculpture shattered inch by inch, and he disappeared without a trace.

“Lissandra has gone back to the fortress first, let’s continue. Katarina, let LeBlanc come with us for a tour.”

"Consider yourself lucky. I'll settle the score with you later." Katarina warned resentfully before releasing LeBlanc and dragging her along with the others.

Chapter 785 The Unexpected Turn of Events at Frostguard Fortress

When the Wild Hunt team arrived at Frostguard Fortress, the gates were open, and they were allowed to pass without any hindrance.

They walked over at a leisurely pace, giving Lissandra ample time. If Lissandra still refused to let them pass, the Wild Hunt could force their way in or simply move them inside; if a conflict ensued, don't blame him for being ruthless.

As luck would have it, snow began to fall as soon as they stepped through the fortress gates. It was as if snow was welcoming them, or perhaps it was a harbinger of something.

"This seems to be the first snow of the year," Portil remarked, reaching out to catch the swirling snowflakes.

Winter arrived as scheduled, but I did not see Anivia fly over Freljord, flapping her wings and scattering waves of frost that turned into the first snow of winter. Legends are just legends after all.

"Snowfall is just a perfectly normal natural phenomenon; there's no need to make a big deal out of it. As for Anivia, she should still be slumbering in Phoenix Wing Mountain," Wild Hunt said.

"Look at what you're saying, it's not romantic at all. No girl would like that." As soon as Sephie finished speaking, she noticed that the atmosphere around her had instantly turned cold.

Looking around, no one echoed her sentiments. Only Cassiopeia casually played with her hair, as if to remind herself that she was no longer a girl, but a charming and alluring woman.

"Hehe, it's really cold today." Sephie laughed awkwardly and changed the subject: "Look at her, she's shivering from the cold."

The person Sephiroth was referring to was LeBlanc. The cold of Frostguard Fortress could brittle even steel, and even a lich's body couldn't withstand it. He kept rubbing his arms to warm them, which was rather uncouth.

"You're dressed too lightly. Wear more if you're cold." Wild Hunt glanced at him, then ignored him and continued walking towards the main castle.

LeBlanc frowned and remained silent. Was it because she wasn't wearing enough? Everyone else had protective armor but she didn't. She wasn't an Iceborn, so she could only rely on her constitution to tough it out.

Walking along the road, Wild Hunt noticed that the fortress seemed somewhat different from before.

Not only were there far fewer patrol teams than before, but everyone's face was etched with exhaustion, as if they hadn't had a proper rest for days. Moreover, everywhere one looked were traces of battle; even the collapsed Frost Spire hadn't been repaired. It was truly strange.

"So that's why Lissandra suddenly decided to reorganize the fortress; it turns out there's been internal strife." Wild Hunt observed this closely. He didn't believe any force could breach the fortress from the outside, so it could only be an internal conflict. However, it seemed to have been suppressed.

“The Frostguard have always been loyal to the matriarch. We’ve only been gone a short time, how could they possibly betray us?” Portil expressed her doubts. She had served Lissandra for hundreds of years and knew the situation in the fortress very well.

Just then, she saw Kasha suddenly squat down and pick up a piece of shard from the ground—a piece of shard that she knew all too well.

"Black Ice? How could something from the Howling Abyss appear here? Could it be that a secret has been exposed, causing a rebellion?" Portil asked the Wild Hunt for their opinion: "How about we capture someone and ask them?"

"No need, I'll ask Lissandra myself when I see her later."
