"..." Kaisa fell silent.

Wild Hunt always chooses its hosts ruthlessly, but this is the first time she's encountered someone who actively requests to merge with her; their awareness is quite high.

Nami probably deduced from the fact that the power wasn't exclusive to any of them by seeing the skin armor they all wore, which led her to this conclusion, and it was the only way she could save herself at that moment.

The monster outside the fluid shield had twisted its tentacles into a single strand, drilling through the shield like an electric drill. Time was running out, and a decision had to be made as soon as possible.

"What should we do?" Kasha muttered, seeking Wild Hunt's advice.

Wild Hunt thought about it carefully. Nami was a girl with good awareness and courage, but the more heroic and passionate the protagonist was, the more difficult she was to control.

However, the Wild Hunt doesn't need another spot, so it's an emergency and they'll give it to them. It's best if Nami stays alive; the Wild Hunt needs her to connect with Diana later.

"Then say yes."

Upon receiving Wild Hunt's reply, a purple light emanated from the crack in Kaisa's palm. This dazzling light instilled an instinctive fear in Nami, who believed that what she was seeing was what Rasha wanted to show her.

She ultimately chose this path, but if it could save her people, she would gladly become a monster.

Nami reached out and placed her hand against Kaisa's palm. The overflowing liquid energy had a translucent texture. As if it were sentient, it quickly spread up her arm, reacting with the seawater and transforming into a gray gel.

In the blink of an eye, Nami was completely wrapped up, and the inescapable darkness invaded her like a shroud.

The tiny protrusions pierced her neck, like being sucked and gnawed by thousands of leeches. An insatiable hunger permeated her body. She felt that this carapace wanted to devour her, just like the monsters outside.

Nami endured the fear silently. She knew that to break free from her cocoon and be reborn, she had to bear this darkness before dawn.

Merfolk's form is somewhat different from ordinary humans, so Nami couldn't immediately convert them into combat power. Kaisa turned to look around; monsters had already broken through the protective barrier one after another, falling directly onto the seabed and struggling.

It is adapting to the sealess environment inside the shield at an astonishing speed, supporting itself with its hollow limbs, some even with its tentacles off the ground and floating in mid-air.

The sight was appalling; if they were released, one could witness a monster army besieging the Lakor tribe within the next night.

Although Kai'Sa dislikes Mount Targon, she wouldn't stoop to such a drastic measure as using one enemy against another. Once the Void spreads, it will be difficult to control it again.

She bought Nami time for her transformation, blasting the tentacle monsters that had fallen in to smithereens before they could fully adapt to their environment. Then, she tore open a spatial rift and threw Nami into the buffer zone between reality and the void, separating her from the monsters.

The Wild Hunt summons a school of remoras for cover. The terrain of the deep sea is too narrow for the nest mother to deploy, but it is perfect for the agile school of fish.

Under the Wild Hunt's control, the fish did not use missile attacks that would harm both themselves and the enemy, but instead directly opened their blood-red mouths to surround and bite the tentacle monster, and then spat out void energy to corrode the enemy's core.

The tentacled monsters were already densely packed, and now a massive swarm of remoras had joined them. The two sides were locked in a chaotic struggle, tearing and biting each other apart. Everywhere Kaisa looked, there were mountains of corpses and seas of blood, a truly suffocating sight.

But Vel'Koz wouldn't stand idly by. The cracking sound of his whip lashing out almost ripped eardrums as void energy erupted from a sudden crack in the ground, breaking through the shield from within.

Kaisa dodged the surging energy, but couldn't escape the immense pressure of ten thousand tons of seawater; even through her skin, she felt as if her lungs were being squeezed out.

She turned to look at the one-eyed monster, only to find it had wrapped a Void Remora with its tentacles, electrocuted it slightly, and then buried its tentacles deep into its eye socket.

Then, bursts of purple lightning crackled from the ends of its tentacles, and Kaisa felt a powerful current pass through her body, causing her heart to stop for a moment.

Aside from the lingering numbness, she was mostly unharmed. But when she turned her head, she saw that all the remoras summoned by Wild Hunt had sunk to the seabed with their mouths agape and steam rising from them, their eyes devoid of light.

In contrast, the tentacle monsters, though they sank to the bottom, could still twitch a few times before floating back up and surrounding Kasha.

Vel'Koz's intelligence astonished Kai'Sa. It was amazing that it could come up with such a method and precisely control the discharge, so efficiently clearing out all the fish in this area without killing the tentacle monster.

The key point is that Kai'Sa had been thinking of doing this not long ago, but had to give up because of Nami. Now Vel'Koz not only did it, but did it even better than her, which is really discouraging.

Chapter 576 Rune Power

"I told you it was smart, and now it seems it's not only smart, but also has a wealth of combat experience." Wild Hunt's words stirred a sense of resentment in Kai'Sa.

She cursed under her breath, and her pod emitted a low, humming sound as if gathering strength. Vicz's gaze was instantly drawn to her, his pupils contracting sharply and twitching warily.

Exposed to the other party's gaze, Kai'Sa had a bad feeling, as if her intentions were being gradually seen through.

She then thought, "Then I'll just attack openly and honestly! I want to see if my opponent can withstand my full-force attack."

Kai'Sa compressed all her rage into her pod, and two plasma cannons, trailing a ghastly purple light, burst forth and spiraled forward. At the same time, Vel'Koz also lashed out with his tentacles, unleashing almost identical spiral plasma cannons! The only difference was that his plasma cannons were larger and slower, in order to intercept Kai'Sa's attack.

The two collided, and for a moment the light illuminated the deep sea abyss. The scorching explosion evaporated the surrounding seawater, revealing the red-hot seabed. Boiling heat waves spread out, and the powerful impact destroyed the surrounding landforms.

The next second, the pressure of the deep sea forced the seawater back in, and Kai'Sa was thrown about. In contrast, Vel'Koz just kept wriggling its tentacles, completely unable to understand how it could remain motionless under the onslaught.

"Damn it." Kai'Sa grabbed the Earth Gland to stop rolling. The deep-sea environment severely hampered her performance, and she couldn't gain any advantage against Vel'Koz. But Nami was still in the sac space, and she couldn't just run away.

That place corresponds to the coordinates in reality. If she goes too far away and fails to bring Nami back, it's tantamount to banishing the latter forever.

The tentacle monster attacked again. With nowhere to retreat, Kaisa took out the bio-battery and slammed it into the engine.

She threw the bio-battery at the monster, then turned and disappeared into the void rift. The explosion engulfed everything, but even if there was a raging flood outside, it was none of her concern.

Upon arriving at the buffer zone between the two worlds, Kaisa saw that Nami's transformation had reached the final stage of the spiritual link.

"Wild Hunt, have you informed Syndra and the others?" Kai'Sa asked.

"I had them guard the exit the moment things got out of control."

"That's good." Kaisa breathed a sigh of relief. Now, she just needed to wait for Nami's transformation to finish before they could teleport back to the merman village together.

Just as she was thinking this, a smooth tentacle crawled in right in front of her, dragging out deformed and terrifying limbs from the outside, and a huge, bulging single eye came flying through the air, staring intently at them.

Kasha had always considered her vesicle space to be absolutely safe, but it had been so easily invaded, and the fear in her heart was beyond measure.

"So you killed Rek'Sai."

Vel'Koz stated his analysis without any emotion: the fins on Kai'Sa's elbows, filled with Void energy, granted her the ability to traverse space, a structure he had only ever seen on Rek'Sai.

Then it turned its probing gaze to Nami, reaching out its tentacles to try and pull her closer. Kaisa, of course, couldn't allow her greatest secret to be revealed so easily, and immediately drew half of the Judgment Blade and slashed at it.

The blade cut into its flesh, and Vicz recoiled in pain, pulling its tentacle back. Previously, it had only indirectly experienced pain on research samples; this was the first time it had felt pain on itself like this.

"It's very interesting. So this is what it feels like to experience pain firsthand."

Vicz twisted its tentacles; if it wanted, the wounds on them could heal completely, but it didn't, wanting to feel more pain.

The wisdom of the human race is worth his tireless study. There is a saying that summarizes it very well: "Know yourself and know your enemy, and you will never be defeated."

Kai'Sa unleashed her full speed and charged forward again. Vel'Koz neither dodged nor evaded, but instead extended a tentacle and used a gentle force to deflect the blade, then wrapped the other tentacle around Kai'Sa.

The tentacles nearly grazed her scalp. Kaisa narrowly escaped by squeezing through the gap, but failed to gain any distance. Instead, she was struck by lightning, which pierced her body, causing her limbs to twitch uncontrollably.

"It's useless. The same attack won't work on me a second time." Vel'Koz had studied humans for many years and naturally knew the meaning of taunts, but that wasn't what it meant. It simply wanted to make Kai'Sa give up resisting.

The reason Kai'Sa was able to hurt it before was because the sudden appearance of Protoss weapons exceeded its expectations; otherwise, any attack launched by the skin armor would have been detected by it and would have been ineffective.

"Hoo..." Her whole body was burning with pain. Kai'Sa painfully withdrew the half sword, and at one point wanted to activate the World Rune to show her opponent her skills.

However, she has her own isolation. The nature of the void devouring life means that the tough runes are unlikely to be effective. The law of death cannot directly sentence something from beyond the heavens to death, and life energy can easily become food for the other party.

If the runes hadn't been unable to be stored in the hive, and if the other two hadn't been left behind, Vel'Koz would never have been able to act so arrogantly in front of her.

"Just leave. If it dares to chase us, it will be surrounded and attacked by us," Wild Hunt suggested.

"No, I still can't swallow this insult." Kai'Sa activated the runes, raising her arms high, her whole body enveloped in dazzling light.

A warm current brimming with life force coursed through her body and mind, completely purging the deathly numbness. Her skin, armor, and flesh, infused with immense energy, grew wildly, while Vel'Koz nearly went blind in the dazzling light.

At this moment, she felt as if she had divine assistance. Her physique and the strength of her armor reached an unprecedented peak, and even her armor automatically transformed into an assault form.

Viktor was alerted. Three tentacles flipped up in front of his eyes to block the light. His pupils, which had no eyelids, vibrated violently, and the jumping arcs of electricity intensified, making him look even more insane and terrifying.

Kai'Sa charged forward fearlessly, and in Assault Form, her acceleration reached a new high. There was no air assist in the World Rift, meaning that if the area was large enough, her speed could accumulate until it surpassed the speed of light.

Velcz's pupils shrank instantly, and a life-form disintegration ray shot out, converging into a powerful annihilation beam under the convergence of the three tentacles.

Bathed in the intense purple light, the Void Armor melted instantly like a candle in the flames of a high-temperature blowtorch, but was instantly restored to its original state by the powerful energy of the runes.

The next moment, it felt as if it had been hit head-on by a speeding train. Its eyelids did not blink, but it could not see how the humanoid monster, whose size had increased dramatically, had managed to withstand its strongest attack and crash into it.

The spatial vesicle was still too small, insufficient to support Kai'Sa's full-force charge. Kai'Sa actually crashed through the spatial barrier, bringing Vel'Koz back to the seabed. (The last part is a nonsensical string of characters and doesn't translate directly.)

The immense pressure of the seawater acted like a wall behind it, and under the combined attack from both sides, its bulging single eye almost burst open before being slammed into the rock wall and deeply dented.

Kaisa's offensive did not stop there. Her frenzied claw strikes, too fast to see clearly, instantly tore through the shell, and her rapidly spinning tail pierced towards the one-eyed monster like an invisible drill.

Velcz raised his tentacle to block, but it was instantly shredded into a mass of minced flesh. The other two tentacles were also forcibly pulled off by Kai'Sa.

The current situation was beyond the scope of its brain's processing capabilities, so Velcz decisively abandoned its outer shell, used its rays to create a crack, and disappeared without a trace.

Chapter 577 Nami the Siren

Kai'Sa had actually managed to drive Vel'Koz away! She suddenly realized her self-perception was outdated. She hadn't even realized how strong she was until she got serious.

Although Vel'Koz has escaped, the swarm of insects it triggered is a major problem. Moreover, it belongs to the Watchers, and who knows what trouble it will cause upon its return.

However, compared to chasing someone to an unfamiliar place, solving the immediate problem is clearly more important.

Kai'Sa returned to the buffer zone and saw that Nami had completely transformed by merging with the Void Armor, and was looking down at herself in confusion.

Her golden wavy hair transformed into smooth, dark red straight hair that flowed freely, its roots held in place by sharp, claw-like hair ornaments.

Her once chubby cheeks have become sharp as if carved by a knife, her features are no longer soft, and she looks much more mature than before.

Her eyes, once a deep amber, now held a sinister allure, their crimson pupils shrouded in a profound darkness, like the gaze of an abyss. (The last two lines appear to be unrelated and possibly machine-generated text.)

The bluish-green fish skin was replaced by deep purple armor, the gathered airbags looked very imposing, and the webbed fingers grew sharp nails.

However, the most significant change should be to Nami's lower body, where her long fishtail has split into three thick and powerful tentacles.

The tentacles have a smooth surface and lack octopus-like suckers, but they have fins that resemble skirts, making the body appear larger.

This doesn't look like a mermaid at all; it looks like a siren from the abyss.

"I almost didn't recognize her, no wonder it took so long," Kasha murmured, as Wild Hunt explained in her mind.

“Vastaya’s bloodline made her form very unstable, and I had to spend more time adapting her before I could fully integrate her.”

If we were to summarize a pattern for the ease of fusing familiars in Wild Hunt, it would be that the closer they are to humanoid form, the easier it is, and the weaker the host, the easier it is.

He had tamed Sarah in the sea, and although she initially resisted, the Wild Hunt was still able to control her movements through his armor, immediately manipulating her to do things. With Nami, however, no matter how cooperative she was, the process wasn't as smooth.

"Kasha!" Nami looked around, unsure how to escape this strange space, when she spotted Kaisa and rushed towards her as if she had seen a savior.

The buffer zone is a zero-gravity mode, and once it starts moving, it's hard to stop. Nami, unable to stop, bumped into Kaisa and blushed with embarrassment.

After a deep conversation with the Wild Hunt, Nami's initial awe of Kaisa was replaced by a sense of familiarity.

Now, she no longer finds the humanoid figure covered in armor strange or terrifying; instead, she believes it to be the ultimate form of perfect evolution.

The physical contact made her clearly feel the hidden power within that beautiful figure, and the protective airbag filled with maternal charm enveloped her, making her tremble with shyness.

The individual differences between merfolk and land dwellers are even greater than the differences between male and female merfolk. Therefore, even though they are both female, Nami sees Kaisa as having an exotic charm and more sexual tension than male merfolk.

"How are you feeling now?" Kaisa was uncomfortable with this kind of physical contact and pushed Nami away by pressing her shoulder.

Nami hesitated for a moment before flipping over her tentacles: "It doesn't hurt anymore, it's just... I'm not used to it, it feels so soft..."

“That’s normal. If one day my legs turned into tentacles, I wouldn’t be used to it either,” Kasha added. “If you really can’t get used to it, you can turn back into a fishtail. These changes shouldn’t be forced.”

"No, no, no, change is a good thing! I still want to try!" Nami straightened her back and merged her tentacles into one.

Logically, the tentacles should be much more agile. While the fish tail has strong propulsion, it's not as flexible in terms of turning. She can compensate for the lack of thrust by manipulating the water flow.

"Suit yourself." With that, Kai'Sa took the Tidecaller's Staff out of the hive and tossed it to Nami: "I found this outside, here you go."

"Ah! Thank you so much!!" The Staff of the Tidecaller is a treasure of the Merfolk race. Nami had been worried about where she had lost the staff, and now that she had it back, she was overjoyed. "By the way, what about that one-eyed monster?"

"Vek'z? I've already chased it away." Kai'Sa said with some regret, feeling resentful that she hadn't been able to kill the guy.

"That's impressive..." Nami felt a pang of shame upon realizing that Kai'Sa had taken care of Vel'Koz while she was away, and muttered to herself, "So it really is my presence that's holding you back..."

“No, now is the time for you to play your role,” Kai’Sa said. “The plan has changed. Now that Vel’Koz has escaped, we have nothing to fear. The Wild Hunt has already blocked the exit of the Abyss. What we need to do now is work with the people above to deal with the beast tide.”

"..."

Back at the seabed, we've arrived at Nami's territory. With her staff in hand, Nami's perception of water currents is amplified several times over; no unusual movement in the nearby sea can escape her fins.

"Oh no! The first wave of monsters is almost at the exit!" Nami exclaimed anxiously. "Can we really hold them off?"

"Do your best and leave the rest to fate." Kasha looked around. The endless monsters noticed their presence and immediately surrounded them. "Wild Hunt, I need a weapon."

With no time to comfort the merman girl, Kasa decided to fight her way out. Explosive plasma bombs weren't suitable for underwater combat, so she needed a weapon that could change its attack pattern and whose monster-killing efficiency couldn't be too low.

“No problem.” With the Wild Hunt’s assistance, a living weapon resembling a lance appeared in Kai’Sa’s hands.

"This is... Void Armament?" Kai'Sa asked in surprise.

"Yes, you remember."

Void Armor is a powerful weapon that humans can also use, but the price is that the body is corroded by the Void, and they will die soon. However, these side effects are negligible for Kai'Sa, who has her own skin armor.

The umbrella-shaped restraints opened, and Kasha directly inserted her right arm into the weapon. A "click" sound was heard as something seemed to have entered the crack in her palm.

The energy channel was successfully established, and the main body of the weapon immediately lit up, splitting open like the long snout of a mosasaur, from which countless arcs of electricity leaped out, and a faint roar could be heard.

A slight tremor seemed to urge Kai'Sa to act; she immediately aimed her weapon at the monster before her and unleashed Void energy. Forked lightning bolts shot out, instantly tearing everything in their path.
