Void Beetle Evolution Guide

Nami suddenly realized: "Oh, I get it! Even if the trading time has passed, I can still go and find this Lunar Spirit to exchange for Moonstones?"
"Pretty much, at least there's another way to remedy the situation, and time isn't so tight anymore." Kai'Sa nodded, but that wasn't what she was thinking. She hadn't expected that getting involved in something so casually would be related to the Protoss. (The last part is a nonsensical string of characters and doesn't translate directly.)
"That great female dragon... and what about the dragon queen?" Portil interjected.
"The Dragon Queen only appeared in the nearby waters not long ago. When we found her, she was injured and went berserk, hunting wildly not far from the village, causing panic among the villagers."
"The Holy Mother was worried that the Dragon Queen would attack the village, so she took the initiative to send people to negotiate. Fortunately, an agreement was finally reached: the Merfolk would go out to find food, while the Dragon Queen would stay near the village to recuperate. If Lasha still cannot bring back the Deep Sea Pearl before the deadline, then the Dragon Queen is asked to suppress the Abyss."
"Speaking of which, what kind of monsters live in the abyss?"
“I don’t know either. The elders usually forbid us from getting close. Only those chosen as Tidecallers can go inside,” Nami sighed, bubbles rising from her mouth. Although merfolk can breathe underwater, the waste gas eventually turns into bubbles and is expelled from their bodies.
"That won't do. At the very least, you need to know what you're facing before we can help you. It's the same if you want the Dragon Queen to suppress it."
"Well... I'll ask the elders for their permission later." Nami gave a slightly embarrassed, silly laugh.
Even though it was a moment of life and death, she felt that her people still had many efforts they hadn't made, and they were far too unaware of the crisis. She secretly vowed in her heart that she must step forward and save everyone.
……
The group followed Nami to the outskirts of the village, where a huge deep-sea dragon rested on a bare seabed covered with fine sand.
The first thing that catches the eye is the luminous lure atop the sea dragon's head, so enticing that an unsuspecting ship passing overhead might mistake it for some precious deep-sea treasure.
The light illuminated its enormous body; the massive sea dragon was coiled up, its high-arched spine forming an insurmountable ridge in front of it.
"My Lady Dragon Mother, I've brought a few people with me. They say they're old acquaintances of yours." Nami heard the sound from afar through the surging water, not daring to approach the enormous beast.
The deep blue "mountain range" slowly opened its eyes, radiating a deep blue light. Its narrow, vertical pupils first swept over the merman in front of it, then fixed on the group of people on Nami's body, and its eyes widened instantly.
She kicked her legs and immediately stood up. Due to the violent movement, her huge body caused the surrounding seawater to shake. The group was thrown about by the turbulent current, and Nami hurriedly fled at the first opportunity.
As the enormous sea dragon lunged at her, Syndra simply raised her hand, and the soft seawater instantly transformed into a solid steel wall.
"Clang—" The sea dragon crashed into the invisible water curtain without warning. Its huge body paused for a moment, stirring up a thousand layers of huge waves that swept away everything around it. The dull impact sound could be heard all the way to the merman village dozens of miles away.
Chapter 568 Goodbye, Saifei
Hiding behind the water curtain created by Syndra, the group remained unaffected by the impact, standing firmly in place, while the corals on the surrounding seabed collapsed.
Katarina looked at the dark blue "mountain range" that blocked their path, and gripped Cassiopeia's hand tightly with a hint of fear. She really hadn't expected the other dragon they were looking for to be so huge; compared to it, Portil was practically a young dragon.
Fortunately, Syndra created a water curtain in time; otherwise, even the giant wave generated during the sudden stop could have swept them back several miles to provide support.
On the other hand, Sephiroth, the Calamity of the Abyss, also regained consciousness after hitting the wall.
Ignoring her groggy head, her vertical pupils fixed on Kai'Sa's Void Armor, she roared like thunder: "I knew you would come looking for me with the Wild Hunt."
"Looks like the merfolk are treating you well. Seeing how energetic you are, I guess I wasted my time." Kasha said irritably.
After the Darkin War ended, when they parted ways, Sephiroth told the other two to come find her as soon as they found any news about the Wild Hunt. Her dragon form was far too inconvenient; she had been dreaming of transforming back into human form and setting foot on land once more.
"What are you saying? We're all family, why are you being so formal?" The scales on the sea dragon's forehead twitched, revealing a cunning smile. "Quickly call out my...our mate! I don't want to starve anymore, I want to turn back into human form immediately!"
"..." Sephiroth's attitude of being arrogant at first and then obsequious left Kasha speechless. She vaguely remembered that Sephiroth was not like this before. She was arrogant to everyone, only slightly better than Syndra.
"Fine, I won't argue with you." Kai'Sa had Syndra remove the water curtain, and then swam to the top of the dragon's head using the pods behind her.
However, she didn't rush to fuse the skin armor with Sephiroth. Instead, she turned to the merman girl in the distance and said, "Nami, you can go back and explain now."
"Huh? Is that all?"
Nami was a little confused. Even though Kaisa was standing right in front of Sephiroth, she wasn't attacked, which showed that they did know each other. But this reaction was far too calm.
And what's with turning back into human form? Can a dragon really transform into a human? If so, she'd love to see.
“We have something to discuss with the Dragon Queen, the matter of the deep sea abyss. I will return to the village to discuss it with you later.”
"Alright, then I'll go back and report to the Holy Mother."
Kaisa started chasing people away, and Nami had no choice but to return to the village. Several tribespeople swam towards them, seemingly attracted by the commotion caused by the sea dragon. She went up to them to explain, and then they all swam away.
After the merfolk left, Kasha punched Sephiroth on the head and scolded her rudely, "How could you just agree to something like that? Do you know what kind of monsters live in that deep sea abyss?"
The punch was quite powerful, its trajectory creating a vacuum. It still hurt a bit when it landed on Sephiroth's head: "Ouch, I didn't want to either. But I was dragging my injured body around in unfamiliar waters, searching for food. There weren't any big creatures to fill my stomach. Just finding food was exhausting. Only a fool would refuse someone who offered to help me."
"Based on the descriptions of the merfolk, I suspect that the monsters in the abyss are related to the void. Do you understand what I mean?"
"Uh, really..." Sephie's pupils contracted, sensing the trouble. "If that's the case, I'll just find an excuse to back out. Like the entrance to the Abyss is too small for my size to fit in, or I'll just run away."
The dragon has always been shameless and dishonest, but Kasha was still speechless when she heard Sephiroth say such things.
"No, I absolutely have to help!" she refused.
"I have to help again? Didn't you just say it was too much trouble?" Sephie was confused.
"We must take all issues involving the void seriously."
"The Void?" Syndra knew that the Wild Hunt's power came from the Void, but she didn't know its terror, unlike others who held it in awe.
“Listen to Kai’Sa. We must find out what monsters are in the Abyss. We can help the Merfolk along the way. Maybe we can even make contact with the Lunar Protoss and infiltrate Mount Targon,” Wild Hunt suddenly said.
His attitude towards the Void was similar to Kai'Sa's; he believed that if left unchecked, it would destroy everything, and it had to be nipped in the bud.
"The Merfolk don't even allow their own people to approach the abyss, so I plan to sneak into the abyss to investigate first. The best-case scenario is that I'm overthinking it, and it's not the void inside, but just some ordinary creatures, then we don't need to worry about anything."
“In these situations, what you least want to happen is often the most likely to happen,” Cassiopeia said slowly with a smile, exuding a kind of smug charm that seemed to enjoy watching the drama unfold without caring about the lives of others.
"Let's not talk about that anymore. Let's investigate first and then make a specific plan."
"Wait, did you forget something?!" Kasha was about to leave when Sephiroth called out to her urgently, "Where's my skin armor? Don't forget about the important matter!"
Kasha sighed, then slapped Sephiroth's head again, activating the Empress's Decree.
The burst of synapses covered the sea dragon's head. Instead of invading the brain and erasing its will, they spread along the surface of its body and hardened rapidly in reaction with the surrounding seawater.
Sephiroth raised her head and unleashed a roar that shook the entire world. She felt that familiar power return! The previously listless woman finally regained her majesty as the Queen of the Deep Sea. The sea above her began to boil with her roar, and white waves surged endlessly.
However, after waiting for a long time, Sephiroth still hadn't transformed back into human form; the skin armor was still spreading along her body. She hurriedly asked, "What's going on?"
"The human form armor is not difficult. This is to help you build the dragon form armor, which usually takes longer. But you are too big. Judging from the speed, it will probably take quite a while to complete the construction."
After explaining, Portil looked at Kasha, who understood her meaning: "Let's not wait any longer, let's go, let her stay here alone."
"Don't go! Wait for me!" Sephie called out, trying to stop them, but no one paid her any attention. "You Lin, you're here, I'm busy. You Lin, you're here, but I'm not..."
Kasa had already begun assigning tasks: "Cassiopeia, you two head straight to the village and talk to the Mara Mother to distract them so I can successfully infiltrate the abyss."
"no problem."
As they swam further and further away, Sephiroth wanted to catch up, but worried that his movements would slow down the fusion process. Feeling wronged like a deep-sea puppy, he wagged his tail a few times and then lay still on the seabed.
"Would it kill you to do that little thing a little slower? Why are you in such a rush? Can't you stay and chat with me for a while?"
In her sorrow, a familiar voice suddenly appeared in her mind. Sephie knew it was Wild Hunt's voice, and immediately feigned tears, saying, "Wild Hunt, is that you? I knew you were the best to me!"
"Heh, you're getting ahead of yourself. I can only chat with you briefly. I need to keep an eye on Kasha's situation. You should calm down on your own."
"Ugh! How can you be like this too?!"
Chapter 569 They've Been Discovered
After separating from the others, Kaisa disappeared, even retracting her shoulder thrusters, and dived alone into the deep sea abyss.
She didn't know where the entrance to the abyss was, only that it was located in the center of the merman village.
At first, Kasha searched around but couldn't find the entrance to the abyss. She felt that it was inappropriate to set up a village around such a dangerous place.
Undeterred, she searched again and, quite against her instincts, found the hidden crevice in a place where seaweed grew abundantly.
The crevice is only three meters wide and is hidden among the dense seaweed that is several meters long and swaying with the ocean currents. It is really hard to spot. Kasha missed it the first time she passed by.
However, she did notice several merman guards hiding in the seaweed. Under the vision of the void, no living thing could hide.
Kasha turned over the seaweed and stood at the entrance of the crevice. The ocean current surging from the depths of the earth passed over her, and she could feel a cold, sticky sensation even through her skin.
"This should be it." Her eyes could see through the darkness, but her vision couldn't penetrate the winding passage to see what was inside.
“Indeed, there’s an ominous aura.” Wild Hunt answered seriously, but his armor began to writhe naturally, squeezing the perfectly shaped, curvaceous body inside.
Kasha looked puzzled, feeling a pair of large hands freely stroking her skin, kneading her plump, firm breasts with just the right amount of force. The warmth from her hands transferred to her chest, creating a relaxing sensation like a steam compress, which eased her inner tension.
"Why are you doing this now?" She didn't stop Wild Hunt; this level of intimacy wouldn't affect her actions. It was like wearing an electric massage belt while working, relieving both mental and physical fatigue. "You Lin, you and I are busy... You Lin, are you here?"
"The seawater is cold; let me warm you up."
"Actually, it's enough as long as you're by my side."
Wild Hunt's voice was so sincere that there was no hint of lewdness in it. Kasha believed that he had no inappropriate intentions and genuinely wanted to warm her up. However, she would welcome even if he went a little further.
"So what if it's inside the body?" Wild Hunt said this, but before he even made a move, Kasha had already imagined the scene of his fingers hooking inside, and her pretty face flushed.
She raised her arms to massage the muscles under her armpits, closed her eyes and enjoyed it immensely, feeling much better, before being slapped awake by Wild Hunt.
"Alright, let's set off. This trip may take quite a while."
Despite being slapped, Kasha showed no displeasure; instead, she became secretly excited and plunged headfirst into the abyss below.
However, the next second, she felt as if the surrounding seawater had come alive, with tons of pressure exerted on her body, and the water flow forming white bubbles wrapped around her, preventing her from swimming downstream.
Kasha felt a tightness below, as if someone was pulling a triangle of fabric and squeezing it into her crotch, but she wasn't wearing anything underneath. Without a doubt, Wild Hunt was using this method to remind her not to be nervous.
"Who's there?!" A voice rang out. It wasn't Kaisa who spoke, but a merman who emerged from the seaweed.
The newcomer had long, wavy, golden hair and bluish-green skin; she was Nami, who had recently led them to find Sephiroth.
Now that she had been discovered, Kai'Sa simply deactivated her invisibility, calmly turned around, and asked, "How did you find me?"
"You may have deceived my eyes, but you cannot deceive the ocean." Nami swam over, her deep red-black pupils, as dark as the sea, staring unblinkingly at her.
Their eyes met, and Kasha noticed that those eyes seemed to be covered with a waterproof film, like she was wearing colored contact lenses, making them look somewhat dark and deep, making it impossible to tell what she was thinking.
"I see." Kasha realized where the problem lay. Her invisibility only meant she was invisible, not that she disappeared into thin air; she could still be sensed through the changes in the water flow.
She had no idea that merfolk were so sensitive to changes in water flow. She had been brazenly swimming around everywhere, unaware that anyone might have noticed her.
"What is this...?" As she pondered, Kaisa's gaze fell on the staff in Nami's hand. She hadn't seen it when she last met Nami.
“This is my mother’s staff,” Nami added somewhat nervously, shrinking her neck. “I stole it from home.”
"Hmm? Could it be that..."
"Hmm... I've already gone to see Her Majesty the Holy Mother, and as expected, she won't let me investigate the situation in the Abyss."
Nami sighed. She hadn't initially thought about investigating the monsters in the abyss, believing that moonstones would be enough to suppress them. She had never considered exploring the monsters' ecology until Kaisa reminded her.
But even this reasonable request was forbidden by the elders. Nami felt increasingly uneasy, realizing she shouldn't live in such a muddled state; she couldn't endure ignorance any longer, and she had to do something.
"So you defied the ban and secretly sneaked into the abyss?" Kai'Sa asked.
“My main goal is to bring back the deep-sea pearl.” Nami paused for a moment. “And you, why did you go down there?”
“My situation is very similar to yours. There was also a bottomless abyss near the village where I lived when I was a child. It was full of terrible monsters, but the situation was never taken seriously until the abyss opened its huge mouth and swallowed the whole village... In the end, only my mother and I escaped.”
"By Mount Targon! This...this must be very painful." Nami was stunned, at a loss for words.
Kasha shook her head: "It's okay, it's all in the past. I just felt that the monsters in the deep sea abyss were likely the same ones that destroyed my village, so I thought I'd investigate. I really don't want to see a similar tragedy happen."
"In that case, let's go down together! If you won't let me go down, then I'll... I'll expose you to the elders!"
Nami was really anxious, and out of nowhere came up with an idea that left Kaisa speechless. The elders were right when they said she was being too impulsive.
"Alright, it's settled then. We'll cover for each other. Once we're down there, remember to stay close to me at all times, so I can help you if we encounter any danger."
"Don't let my appearance fool you, I'm actually just as strong as the Tidecaller, I'm just a little bit unsteady," Nami retorted.
"I'll only say this once. If you don't follow along properly and something happens, don't blame me." Kasha sighed, remembering that she used to be impulsive and disobedient.
The two hit it off immediately and ventured into the abyss together.
Chapter 570 Deep Diving Together
Darkness itself is not frightening; what is frightening is what flaunts itself in the darkness.
Every moment of hesitation and unease nourishes the darkness.
When reality and illusion can no longer be distinguished, shadows will sweep across every corner like a tidal wave.
The abyss was empty, except for illusions that flourished freely.
The swaying seaweed on both sides felt like the fine hairs growing on the walls of her intestines, constantly brushing against her body. Whenever they clung to her, Nami felt as if she were being held back by the sucker-covered tentacles of the Kraken.
Each time she looked through the glowing crystal at the tip of her staff, she was only imagining things. There were no octopus tentacles, only thriving seaweed.
It's easy to get lost in such a bottomless place, but thankfully she wasn't alone this time. She followed closely the two points of light ahead, the purple glow emanating from the pods propelling Kasha forward.
Kaisa would occasionally look back to see if Nami was keeping up. Despite her seemingly unstoppable momentum as she swam ahead, she was never truly alone.
