"By the way, you can now secretly guide Silas to the mage camp," Wild Hunt added.
"No need to rush, we can talk about it later." Morgana pulled off her veil, revealing that she hadn't worn makeup or styled her hair in a long time, making her appear even more gentle and charming than before, exuding the aura of a beautiful married woman. "You came to me for help, so it's reasonable for me to ask for payment, isn't it?"
Wild Hunt watched with great interest as she lifted the hem of her skirt at the slit, revealing a dense twilight forest, with glimpses of moist flesh visible, and his little head immediately reacted.
He had said that Morgana had to remain naked when he was around so that he could use her immediately, but he never expected her to be so compliant and even come to him on her own initiative.
If Lux were to see that the stern, iron-faced judge from earlier was actually like this in private, she'd probably grind her teeth to dust.
"That makes sense. Take it yourself."
Wild Hunt generously presented his gift as a token of gratitude, and Morgana then spread her legs and sat down on him, sinking deep into his plump buttocks, pulling him into her broad chest, her wings closing to envelop them both.
Although this private space is mostly private, it creates a very safe atmosphere, like being under the covers.
Morgana prefers a gentle, gradual approach, much like washing and polishing a statue with water. The thick fleshy walls enclose most of the drill bit, with only the root part able to be pulled out for ventilation during the polishing process.
They quietly enjoyed each other's company until they were both satisfied and had shared everything they knew, while the girl's screams outside continued unabated.
……
In the Forbidden Stone Forest, Kasha was still diligently searching for that tree stump.
Things weren't as simple as she thought. She had assumed she could cover the entire forest in a single day, but the Anti-Magic Forest, being the foundation of Demacia, was far larger than she had imagined.
She shouldn't run too fast, otherwise she might easily miss her target because she can't see it clearly.
The piles of leaves on the ground were also a problem; stepping on them would produce a very loud, piercing sound, making it difficult for her to conceal herself.
Even though she has the ability to become invisible, she must remain still whenever she encounters a forest ranger or a dragon bird flying by.
Actually, these are not the biggest problems. The biggest problem is the boredom and loneliness.
Kaisa's childhood experiences shaped her personality. She feels incomplete without the Wild Hunt, and among all her familiars, she needs the Wild Hunt's companionship the most.
Fortunately, Wild Hunt also spends most of his time with her, not only to meet Kaisa's emotional needs, but also because he is happy to do so himself.
The Wild Hunt player spent a lot of effort developing Kai'Sa, which can be compared to spending several hours customizing her appearance and then painstakingly spending several days leveling up, crafting equipment, and upgrading skills to finally obtain a game heroine that becomes more and more satisfying with each look.
This is the perfect body he cultivated according to his own preferences, with impeccable facial features and body proportions. It can be said that every part of his body is in line with his aesthetic.
He loved to meticulously observe Kai'Sa's agile running form; the graceful sway of her fat as she moved was so captivating, the beautiful shapes slightly distorted by the stretching and compression of her muscles, sparking his imagination. Her barely perceptible murmurs and subtle facial expressions were also things he never tired of watching. And in battle, with the intense movements, the contours of certain parts would become more pronounced, and what was previously barely visible would be inadvertently revealed.
These are sights that only he can see and even touch. Even doing nothing, just emptying his mind to look at them is a complete enjoyment.
In addition, there is another effect. No matter how fierce the battle was before, just looking at Kai'Sa will slowly start to build up desire.
Kaisa can sense these subtle "gazes" and use them to judge whether Wild Hunt is paying attention to her. This allows her to precisely seize the moment when Wild Hunt is present to initiate a conversation, avoiding the awkwardness of no response.
She didn't feel ashamed of this, because Wild Hunt mostly just watched her quietly. Nor did she feel a lack of privacy, because she had nothing to hide from Wild Hunt; on the contrary, she craved more of his attention.
After a relentless search, Kai'Sa finally found the tree stump the Wild Hunt was looking for, but the shape of the stump was not quite what she had imagined.
She had expected it to be a large, flat tree stump, but what the Wild Hunt pointed out looked more like a collapsed altar. It was indeed the stump of an anti-magic tree, but its cross-section was slanted, and the growth rings collapsed inward like steps.
"Although some details are missing, the general pattern matches up, so this should be it." Kasha took out the blueprint and compared it. The one provided by Wild Hunt was obviously a simplified version, so it was normal that she couldn't remember such a complex pattern.
"Look at your feet." Wild Hunt's reminder made Kasha notice the stone slab hidden under layers of fallen leaves in front of the tree stump.
Kasha walked over, knelt down, and swept away the pile of golden leaves above, revealing the murals on the stone slab. She squinted slightly to examine them closely.
She saw many people holding swords or staffs, kneeling and praying around a gnarled tree. At the center of the tree was a diamond-shaped gem that shone brightly.
"This is?! World Runes!"
Chapter 545 The Forbidden Magic Vault
"Could it be... that what Ryze has been storing here is the World Rune he has been keeping all along?"
Kai'Sa's eyes flickered; the content of the mural evoked a series of associations within her. This wasn't a feeling of joy, but rather a sense of apprehension. She was acutely aware of the power and drawbacks of runes.
"The anti-magic stone can conceal the fluctuations of the world runes, so Ryze put all the runes he collected here."
"So that's what you meant when you said you were digging into his past."
The Wild Hunt couldn't deny Kai'Sa's gaze.
"I came here not just to get revenge on Ryze, but for other, more important reasons. Although it is indeed somewhat dishonorable, it is better to use the World Rune Civilization Pearl for the right purpose than to let it be tarnished."
“I know that you have made too many compromises with reality in order to reclaim this world from the threat of the Void. You would never have thought of doing this before.” Wild Hunt sighed, “But the more I search, the more I feel that human strength alone cannot fight against the Void.”
"Thousands of years ago, during the Void Wars, Shurima deployed so many Ascended beings just to barely seal the Abyss. This cancer has never been cured. And now, they have returned with a queen as their ruler. Where in the world can we find a force capable of standing against them? There is none. Therefore, even knowing the drawbacks of the runes, we have no choice but to rely on them and take a gamble."
Kaisa hadn't expected Wild Hunt to say so much to comfort her. She felt a strange urge to cry and shook her head: "No... I just wanted to say... I will support you unconditionally no matter what."
To prevent a recurrence of the Rune Wars, Ryze dedicated his life to containing the runes. According to his principles, if a Void invasion were to threaten the world, he would not hesitate to intervene.
But that would be too passive. Ryze would never make an exception and use the World Rune unless absolutely necessary. By then, the world would be riddled with holes, and too many lives would have been lost.
Therefore, Kai'Sa supports the Wild Hunt and believes it's better to keep the initiative in her own hands. Even if it means stealing or robbing, she refuses to let anyone sacrifice themselves in vain.
Her trust made Wild Hunt realize he was overthinking things, and he chuckled, "Anyway, we're already here, so let's get this done quickly. Ryze can't possibly leave such an important place undefended; the longer we drag this out, the more likely something unexpected will happen."
“I remember there should be a hidden underground vault near the tree stump; that’s where we need to go.” Wild Hunt’s suggestion prompted Kai’Sa to start searching, but she circled the tree stump several times without finding any entrance.
So she tore through the void and escaped into the spatial rift. Through this alternate dimension that overlapped with the real world, she could discover those hidden passages. No matter how deep they were hidden underground, they were as clearly visible to Kasha as the anthill passages in a transparent terrarium.
But this time, she still came up empty-handed.
"Strange, I can't find the entrance." Kai'Sa looked down at the ground, wondering how deep underground Ryze had hidden the runes.
“I remember Ryze used a warp drive to get into the dungeon,” Wild Hunt replied.
"No, I've tried, but I still can't find the location of the underground garage. At least it's not within my warp range."
Wild Hunt thought for a moment, then said, "Runes can sense each other. Take out the runes and use them as pathfinding stones."
As Wild Hunt instructed, Kai'Sa retrieved the rune. Without the protection of her armor, she immediately felt a connection that pointed to a certain coordinate underground, in the heart of the mountains.
"So deep?"
Seeing Kai'Sa's furrowed brows, Wild Hunt said, "It seems the only option is the most drastic one. Should I call Syndra over and have her tear the earth apart?"
Kai'Sa wanted to refuse, but Syndra laughed at her, saying that she couldn't even handle this simple task and that Syndra would have to rely on her in the end.
It's just digging a hole. Even the lowest-level ethereal spirits can do it, so why can't she? And she's not slow at all.
But then she thought, that wouldn't be as quick as just tearing the earth apart. Delay could lead to unforeseen circumstances; Ryze could return at any time, and having a teammate like Syndra would give her more peace of mind.
"Then let her come."
"Ah."
As the spatial rift tore open, Syndra appeared like the final villain. She slowly flew out of the rift, wearing a crown of dark magic that exuded an oppressive aura that was impossible to look directly at.
"There's no one else here, so stop putting on airs," Kai'Sa retorted.
"Is this how you ask for help?" Syndra looked around at the towering anti-magic stone forest, secretly confirming that her magic was still functioning properly. Only after gaining confidence did she slowly ask back, putting on a calm and unhurried appearance.
Kaisa didn't take it seriously and bluntly made her request: "I've found what the Wild Hunt is looking for. It's right beneath our feet. I need you to open a passage to the depths of the earth."
"This isn't the place to argue. Time is of the essence, Syndra, just do as Kai'Sa says," Wild Hunt advised gently.
"For your sake, I'll reluctantly do my part."
Syndra arrogantly began casting her spell, unleashing a massive amount of magic that sank into the ground, immediately causing a violent tremor beneath her feet.
The roots of all the magic-suppressing stone trees within a ten-mile radius were frantically absorbing magic power, transforming into a natural anti-magic array. However, under the witch's vast power, this array crumbled in the blink of an eye, only slightly slowing down the process of the earth cracking open.
Countless golden leaves fell, making it seem like a golden rain was falling from the sky. Kasha had to take cover; these leaves were as heavy as roof tiles, and getting hit by them would hurt.
Fortunately, the earthquake only lasted for half a minute. Where Kasha had been standing, there was now a dark abyss leading directly to the hidden underground vault.
Without even a word of thanks, she leaped straight into the abyss, hopping back and forth across the rock face with exposed tree roots until she reached the depths. Syndra followed silently, intending to see what they were planning.
It wasn't completely dark; light extended from ahead, vaguely illuminating a winding bridge connecting to a platform formed by swirling tree roots.
After briefly surveying the terrain, Kasha landed on the bridge, the only road.
The so-called bridge is actually the tangled roots of the magic-suppressing tree. There are no railings on either side, making it easy to fall. The darkness below leads to who-knows-where, and walking on it feels like walking on a log bridge.
The basement was large and empty. The two of them arrived one after the other at the platform in the center of the basement, where the things they were looking for were stored in the pillars.
There are five pillars on the platform. Kasha saw the wedge-shaped gem she had seen in the mural floating among them, and the escaping magic formed a materialized ribbon, like the rings of a planet wrapping around it.
And there's more than one!
Chapter 546 Rune Foundation
One. Two. Three. Four... Ryze had four World Runes stored in the underground vault!
Upon seeing the World Rune again, Kai'Sa was still captivated by the magnificent gem. She leaned close to the window, observing the gem with a sigh, before noticing something amiss.
"Why are these world runes so huge?!"
Kaisa looked at the rune in her hand, which was only the size of a fingernail, and then at the huge gems in the pillar that she couldn't hold in one hand, each one as big as a wedge. She was utterly shocked.
Even ordinary gemstones without magic rarely grow to this size, let alone runestones that possess the power of creation!
Even the small piece in her hand could cause a great destruction. She couldn't even imagine how powerful these runes, which were dozens of times larger, really were!
They are the most dangerous magical relics in the world, bar none. They are the source of all magic; no one can comprehend their true power, yet each piece possesses earth-shattering might.
Although Syndra didn't say anything, her surprised and uncertain look clearly showed that she was also quite shocked.
Each of these runes possesses magic no less than hers.
After all, she created the underlying logic of the entire Runeterra, and as long as she exists in this world, she cannot surpass them.
No matter how strong human power is, it cannot surpass the heaven and earth that gave birth to her.
Wild Hunt explained, "This is the Runestone, the foundation of Runeterra. The piece you have is just one fragment of it."
"Rune fragments...why are they shattering?"
Kai'Sa looked at the sharply angled runestones and realized that this was not their complete form. Ryze had spent thousands of years collecting and piecing together the main body of the runestones, and many fragments were still missing.
“I don’t know either. I only know that they used to be kept on Blessed Island. Perhaps the Great Devastation caused them to be blown up and scattered all over the world. Then, the holders of these rune fragments started a fierce rune war to fight for each other’s runes.”
Kasha couldn't help but shake her head. Another devastating defeat; Fryegor's value was still rising, and his actions back then had left an indelible mark.
There are five pillars on the platform, but only four of them contain rune stones, which are all different colors and emit completely different magical energy fluctuations.
"Does a color represent a power?" Syndra noticed something.
"That's right. Red is Domination, yellow is Precision, purple is Sorcery, and green is Resolve. The missing piece is blue Inspiration, so it seems Ryze hasn't collected them all yet."
Judging from their names alone, it was difficult for either of them to imagine the specific abilities of these runes. However, Kai'Sa could determine from the color that the Font of Life she possessed belonged to the Resolve tree of runes. Therefore, the green one was likely related to the Law of Life.
Based on this familiarity, she decided to start with the Resolve rune, which she was most confident about!
As Kai'Sa pulled the World Rune out of the hollow pillar, no longer suppressed by the Anti-Magic Stone, the World Rune burst forth with a bright light, as if celebrating its return to the light of day.
A dense, visible magical energy emanated from the green runestone, encircling the runes like fluttering ribbons.
This force was unstoppable, easily penetrating the skin and entering the blood and bones. Kai'Sa felt the powerful elemental force surging through her veins, the torrent of life energy engulfing her, her eyes, nose, mouth... even every pore radiating a blinding light.
In her trance, she saw the flesh and blood of the fallen being devoured by scavenging birds and insects, or rotting beneath bursting clusters of colorful mushrooms. Bones transformed into fertile soil, from which seeds sprouted, grew, and bore fruit. New leaves emerged, new flowers bloomed, and the dead nourished countless lives, erupting in a surging torrent as far as the eye could see.
Kasha had never seen such a magnificent sight. Life, in countless forms, is intertwined and inseparable.
She wept, tears falling like dewdrops. And at that moment, she understood the power this rune represented… not just birth, but the complete cycle of life and death!
Once you have an epiphany, the fragrance of flowers will naturally follow.
Lush green grass burst forth on the platform at Kasha's feet, weaving a vibrant green carpet with blooming flowers. Vines climbed the stone pillars, blossoming and filling the air with a strange fragrance. (The last two lines appear to be unrelated and possibly machine-generated text.)
As the magical glow faded, Kai'Sa blinked hard, still looking somewhat dazed.
Looking at the runestone in her hand, she finally realized why people would never let go of a rune once they had it.
This power is so immense that it can grant a mortal strength comparable to that of a god. And once one experiences the exhilarating feeling of becoming a god, no one would willingly relinquish this power.
"Let it go." Wild Hunt's cold voice suddenly came from beside her, and Syndra was also looking at her with a strange look.
"What's wrong?" Kai'Sa was taken aback. Although she was a little confused, she immediately let go of the rune.
For a fleeting moment, she felt a strange force pulling at her, and countless malicious thoughts came rushing in.
How could humans and Void creatures possibly coexist peacefully? The Wild Hunt has finally revealed his true colors! All that care and guidance was a facade; he had manipulated himself for so long, all for this moment, to seize the World Rune from her.
A voice appeared in her mind, saying that she could now obliterate the arrogant person in front of her with just a flick of her finger. She listened carefully and was shocked to find that it was her own voice.
Before Wild Hunt could make another request, she dismissed all the thoughts. Then she released her grip, and the feeling vanished immediately.
"It's nothing, just trying it out." Wild Hunt said somewhat strangely, "World Runes can bewitch people. Only by knowing when to let go can one truly control this power."
After the rune was discarded, it floated in mid-air, relying on its own magic. The beautiful and magical glow it emitted was like a flame attracting moths, enticing those who coveted its power to reach out to it.
