She gave Zolani no chance to think, immediately reaching for the blood-red chain scythe in front of her. The instant she touched it, the chains of the chain scythe seemed to come alive, tightly binding Katarina's arms, secreting purplish-red blood, and enveloping her arms as spikes and fleshy armor.

The best opportunity to seize control of the body is in these first few seconds. Often, the host is frightened by the strange phenomena that occur on their body, and their psychological defenses collapse, leading to the eventual possession.

Katarina had prepared herself mentally and even scared Zolani beforehand. This small gesture worked, preventing Zolani from being completely overwhelmed immediately.

"I heard you have a Darkin who shares a body with a human, but what I want is not half a body, but complete control!"

"Dream on! I'm not that arrogant guy Rhaast! I'm the strongest Darkin! I'm the Blood Weaver! I'm... Zoranny!"

An invisible battle of wills was taking place in Katarina's mind. She uttered harsh words, but how could a mere mortal be a match for the Darkin? Kayn's symbiosis was achieved by suppressing Rhaast with the help of shadow magic.

Of course, her resistance wasn't futile. Katarina successfully stalled until the Wild Hunt unleashed its power; countless sacral appendages pierced through her fleshy armor from beneath her skin, wrapping around her already scarlet, mutated arm. (The last part, "梅呢没没呢我空你林在在没呢," is a nonsensical string of characters and doesn't translate directly. It's likely a result of OCR errors.)

The Darkin manipulates flesh and blood, while the Void devours it. This fundamental suppression forces Zoranny to retreat under the Wild Hunt's onslaught. The weapons she relies on for survival are nothing more than food to the Wild Hunt.

"What is this? You dare to scam me?!"

Kassa's suggestion to move to a different location was correct. Zoranny let out a painful, shrill scream through Katarina's mouth. The two of them screamed in unison, which was like the roar of a tiger in the deep mountains. If they stayed in the farmhouse, they would definitely attract the attention of curious villagers.

Those fleshy armors were mutated from Katarina's flesh; they were essentially part of her body, and naturally, they transmitted her pain. The Wild Hunt's act of devouring the fleshy armors was tantamount to directly gnawing at Katarina's flesh, which is why she screamed along with Zolane.

The excruciating pain caused Katarina to break out in a cold sweat, but this was only the beginning. The Wild Hunt wanted the complete fusion of the armor and the Darkin weapon, not annihilation; otherwise, all their efforts would be in vain.

Thus began an endless tug-of-war, with Zolani continuously transforming Katarina's flesh and blood. When the transformation rate reached 100%, it became her own body.

What the Wild Hunt needs to do is eliminate the aberrations in Katarina's body, while healing her flesh and lowering the conversion rate, but not directly reducing it to zero; it needs to be controlled at a 50/50 ratio.

Thus, Katarina's body continued to mutate and be devoured amidst piercing screams. Her astonishing will kept her conscious as she watched helplessly as her body was ravaged, tears streaming down her face.

Everyone around frowned, unable to bear the sight. The constantly mutated flesh and rampant synapses had turned a living person into a bloody monster, its outline undulating and only vaguely recognizable as human.

Beneath her lay a pool of eerie black blood, from which droplets of blood would occasionally float to the surface. Sometimes, severed tentacles would fall into the pool with a "plop" and wriggle about as if in water. No one dared to approach her now.

Katarina did not blame the Wild Hunt for causing her such pain, because without his restraint, such a touch would have meant certain death.

Suddenly she burst out laughing, because for some reason she suddenly thought of Lux. If that little girl heard her screams, she would probably wet herself in fright. It was really hilarious.

After some time, this brutal struggle finally came to an end. Zolani was so eager to devour Katarina that she acted too hastily and absorbed the biomass that the Wild Hunt was providing to replenish Katarina's flesh and blood.

Those biomasses are the initial transformation of void energy into a physical form. They still contain extremely pure void toxins and need to undergo a complex reverse transformation to become the nutrients that make up the human body.

Zolani was unaware of these things, and by the time she realized it, it was too late. As a result, she underwent an irreversible mutation, and the flesh and blood forms she transformed into afterward were all different from before.

Katarina's skin turned a bruised, pale purple, and then a suit of bone and flesh armor grew directly from her body. A monstrous, jagged horn sprouted from her forehead, blood-red tears streamed from her eyes, and her once scarlet hair was now mixed with purple.

Asymmetrical bone spurs sprout from her shoulders, and an integrated inverted triangle-shaped breastplate protects her chest but reveals her slender waist. Gold ornaments hang from her waist and hips, and her ever-changing skirt hem resembles an abyss flowing with purple blood. Her entire body exudes an oppressive aura of rebirth through bloodshed.

Chapter 514 Perfect Fusion

"Sister?" Cassiopeia asked cautiously in a soft voice, looking at the completely different person before her. Katarina now looked less like an assassin and more like a warrior.

“It’s me.” Katarina looked down at her arms, which were bound in chains and hung down with scythes, and responded in two completely different tones.

"Is she still there?" Even though she already knew the result, Cassiopeia couldn't help but ask.

Just by listening to the voices, you can tell it's a case of both coexisting. That deeper, huskyer voice belongs to Zolani, and it doesn't sound as spirited as Katarina's original voice.

"She's constantly talking in my head... She's furious... She wants to kill me... But she can't. Shut up! Zolani, your power is mine now!"

“It seems to have blended perfectly,” Wild Hunt said.

Katarina's current form is a fusion of human body, armor, and Darkin weaponry, and the Wild Hunt can hear Zolane's voice. As Katarina said, Zolane is furious but powerless, as she is completely overwhelmed by the Wild Hunt.

Now Katarina has absolute control, and Zoranny cannot influence her actions. Unlike Varus, there is no mutual interference, so the Wild Hunt says she has merged perfectly.

"How are you feeling?" Cassiopeia asked expectantly.

Katarina didn't answer; she clenched her fist tightly, feeling the newfound power within her.

Suddenly, a pool of blood appeared beneath her, and then she disappeared on the spot along with the pool of blood, as if she had sunk into a swamp, which was very strange.

As everyone searched for her whereabouts, blood silently seeped from the ceiling of the cave. Katarina's upper body hung upside down from the pool of blood, forming a net of chains. Each chain was connected to a scythe, capable of instantly reaping even an entire army.

"Is that all?" Syndra scoffed. With just a thought, she could prevent Katarina from closing the net.

"Just kidding." Katarina flipped off the pool of blood and retrieved the chains and Darkin weapons into a crimson space separate from the hive. Now the Wild Hunt finally understood how Zolani conjured so many chains out of thin air.

“Transferring through the blood pool is relatively quiet, but the speed is rather slow, not at all like your original teleportation,” Cassiopeia said.

“It’s not quite the same. I can travel a great distance through the blood pool. But it’s still not as good as the Wild Hunt… Master, who can traverse thousands of miles in an instant.”

"Why do you need so many transfer methods? Mastering just one is enough for you."

Kassa's words made sense, and Katarina didn't refute them. Her innate magic was teleportation, and the Skin Armor gave her the means to traverse through the void. Now, the Darkin had given her the Blood Pool, which seemed to have a somewhat redundant purpose.

She didn't know if these abilities could be combined, but it wouldn't be accurate to say they were completely useless. Using multiple methods in rotation could catch opponents off guard and allow her to handle a wider range of situations.

Finally, rather than a silent assassination, she actually preferred to recklessly charge into the enemy ranks and engage in stylish combat.

“I can manipulate blood now, but there’s no suitable target right now.” Only after Katarina said this did the crowd stop questioning her. They couldn’t very well let her experiment on friendly forces.

"Can you change back now? Going out like this will make you look like a monster," Cassiopeia asked curiously.

"Is it okay?" Katarina herself wasn't very sure. She closed her eyes and tried it, and then the flesh armor slowly shrank back into her body.

An unexpected situation arose: Katarina's clothes had already been torn during the previous torture, and now she appeared naked in front of them. The embarrassing scene made her, who usually had a stern face, blush crimson.

"Oh dear, sister, you're so unceremonious." Cassiopeia fanned the flames while using her hands to cover her private parts from behind. The way she did it was quite deliberate; she only pressed her fingertips against the two rosy nipples, completely ignoring the rest, making it look even more erotic.

"Are you trying to die?!" Katarina wished she could elbow Cassiopeia, who was behind her, flying, but she still had to use her own hands to block the abyss below.

Fortunately, she didn't do that. The Darkin power enhanced her normal abilities, allowing her to possess powerful physical attributes without summoning her armor. If that had happened, Cassiopeia's heart would have stopped beating.

"Hmm." Kasha was already used to this and didn't say anything. She silently took out a robe from the insect hive and threw it to her to wrap herself in.

"Next." Syndra rested her chin on her hand without reacting. She was only targeting Kai'Sa; other women didn't offer any real impact.

“It’s your turn.” Katarina wrapped her robe tightly around herself, then grabbed Cassiopeia’s shoulder and pushed her forward.

"Then let's continue." The Wild Hunt released Evelyn again, this time learning from his mistake, making sure the demon didn't appear completely naked. (The remaining text appears to be gibberish and unrelated to the narrative.)

"What an intense aura of pain... Ugh—" Evelyn first took a deep sniff of the lingering scent of Katarina's torment, but upon seeing Syndra present, she was terrified, her voice cracking, "What...what are you going to do?!"

“Evelyn, I’ve found you a new host. Can you guess who she is?” Wild Hunt said.

"You should have said so earlier! So many people surrounding us, it scared me to death." The demon breathed a sigh of relief after hearing that he wasn't going to kill her.

She could easily accept the Wild Hunt as her master before, and now she can also readily accept another person as her host. Demons' lifespans span the entirety of human history, so being temporarily imprisoned is nothing in the face of such a vast time span.

Evelyn carefully observed the group with her golden vertical pupils, quickly ruling out Syndra. Although she longed to unleash the inexhaustible wellspring of pain within Syndra, if her power were drained again, she would definitely fall from a mid-level demon to a low-level demon.

Katarina wouldn't be her host either; the other's body is filled with another kind of power, and even though she exudes an aura of pain, there's no room for her. Besides, Kai'Sa doesn't seem like someone to be trifled with; her wary gaze foreshadows that their relationship won't be harmonious.

After eliminating other options, only Cassiopeia remains as a choice.

To Evelyn's surprise, the woman was curling her lip with her nails, watching her with amusement.

Evelyn was very familiar with that look, because she would also show that same interested expression when she saw her prey.

“I choose her. I think our personalities will be very compatible.” Evelyn licked her lips and looked into Cassiopeia’s eyes. The two exchanged glances, as if they had chosen each other through their eyes alone.

"You got it right, but there's no reward."

Upon hearing Wild Hunt's reply, Evelyn smiled and shook her head. "You can't say that. A suitable host can also greatly increase a demon's power."

“I understand, just like me and Wild Hunt,” Kai’Sa chimed in for reasons unknown, eliciting a disdainful snort from Syndra.

Chapter 515 Sisters' Showdown

Unlike Katarina, Cassiopeia's fusion process went very smoothly. (The remaining text appears to be gibberish and unrelated to the initial statement.)

Both the host and the demon were satisfied with each other, unlike the conflict between Katarina and Zolani, where two tigers cannot share the same mountain; instead, there was a clear distinction between primary and secondary.

Furthermore, demonic power will not seriously conflict with the skin armor. Demons have no physical form; their primary enhancement is spiritual power, which is on a different level from the skin armor.

The process of merging was also very simple, without needing to sign a contract or pay a price. This is often a tactic used by demons to manipulate their prey, but this time Evelyn was the one being subjugated.

The Wild Hunt witnessed the whole thing. He saw Cassiopeia and Evelyn touch their fingertips, and then the demon turned into a wisp of black smoke, swirling around her arm.

Then, a chaotic, demonic mist spread out, gradually obscuring Cassiopeia's figure until only her clearly visible outline remained. Crimson waves burned with flames, two horns sprouted from her forehead, and two flexible whips appeared behind her. In the mist, the phantom of a demon flirted and swayed behind her, appearing and disappearing intermittently.

In the blink of an eye, her figure vanished from the spot, emerging from the mist and flashing behind Katarina. She placed a pair of excessively sharp claws on the latter's shoulders, her golden vertical pupils filled with a mocking smile. She exhaled a puff of pale pink smoke from her jade-like lips, which immediately turned a rosy red where it touched the neck, as if leaving a kiss mark.

Katarina threw a punch backward, but only hit a puff of smoke. Noticing Cassiopeia flash in front of her, she threw another straight punch, but the latter caught it with her claws and held it in her palm.

She narrowed her eyes. Her power, enhanced by the Darkin, was now beyond what it used to be. Upon closer inspection, Cassiopeia's skin had also turned a pale purple, like smoke, under the influence of the demon, indicating that the demon form would also enhance her physical strength.

It's time to put an end to this little sister's arrogant attitude and teach her a lesson about respecting elders and hierarchy.

Katarina roared, revealing her Darkin form. Her horns grew menacingly, her face becoming grotesque, and her body began to rapidly grow taller. Even bent over, her back touched the cave ceiling, creating an oppressive aura. Cassiopeia, not to be outdone, summoned armor to cover her entire body. In her Assault form, her demonic horns and whip-like ropes remained, the former burning with flames, the latter flowing with shadows, complementing the armor.

The two collided with a loud crash, their arms locked in a stalemate, and the cave teetered on the brink of collapse as they struggled.

A piece of gravel fell in front of her, nearly hitting Syndra. She frowned and scolded, "If you want to fight, go outside. What are you doing here acting crazy?"

She unleashed a burst of magical energy, slamming the two against the wall. This also affected Kasha, who was knocked back several meters. Angrily, she demanded, "Aren't you blind?"

Syndra's actions accelerated the cave's collapse, yet the women continued arguing inside. The Wild Hunt, left with no other option, had to evacuate everyone.

Soon after, the entire cave collapsed, and the hilltop shrank, burying the forest at the foot of the mountain in the landslide.

Arriving at a nearby valley, Wild Hunt said to the two sisters, "If you want to fight, fight now and familiarize yourselves with your new abilities. After we go back and rest, I will assign missions to everyone."

"Does everyone have one?" Kasha asked.

"Yes, everyone has them, and they are all different."

Kai'Sa stroked her chin and pondered for a moment, unable to understand what could possibly be so important for Demacia that warranted such a flurry of activity from them.

Meanwhile, Katarina in her Darkin Giant form had already teleported in front of Cassiopeia. The combination of a powerful physique and agile mobility unleashed a terrifying amount of strength.

A crimson claw swung down from the sky, its claw mark lingering in the eyes for a long time. Cassiopeia suffered a heavy blow, but her body exploded into a large cloud of smoke, which instantly filled the entire valley—it was actually a puppet clone.

Syndra disliked being in the demon's aphrodisiac smoke, which had an aphrodisiac effect. Staying in it for a while would make her heart race, her breathing quicken, and she would even feel a little itchy.

So, like a witch in a fairy tale, she lifted the entire carriage into the air, gaining a superb view of the battlefield. Although she didn't have a pumpkin carriage, a straw-covered cart would do; she didn't care about such details.

Sure enough, she still preferred to look down on everyone, and her jade-like feet involuntarily began to sway slightly. The poor horse beside her, however, stared wide-eyed in terror as it realized it was flying.

Kai'Sa wasn't as focused as Syndra. She stood on a large tree on a nearby hilltop as a lookout, not only keeping an eye on the intensity of the battle but also constantly watching for anyone approaching.

Amidst the hazy smoke, several alluring laughs echoed. Katarina, at the center, saw countless ghosts appearing and disappearing around her, but none of them were Cassiopeia's true form, for she could not detect a trace of bloodlust in them.

"My dear sister, why are you daydreaming?" Suddenly, a playful voice came from beside her. Cassiopeia sat on Katarina's shoulder out of nowhere, crossed her legs, and used her toes to tease Katarina's chin.

"Get your stinky feet off me!" Katarina slapped her sister's shoulder like she was swatting a fly, but she still couldn't catch her sister, who once again turned into smoke and disappeared without a trace.

"This is pointless; you're just wasting your time."

Katarina looked around and, seeing that Cassiopeia wasn't attacking, straightened up from her defensive stance, her body now shrunk to the size of a normal person, looking rather uninterested.

The demon's Shadow Cloak is incredibly unfair. By infiltrating the Shadow Realm for extended periods, Cassiopeia can evade most attacks and always maintain the initiative. Katarina, on the other hand, is completely helpless against it.

“Blood magic is impossible to defend against. If I don’t do this, I’ll be the one who suffers if you lock me down.” Cassiopeia was also afraid that her sister would stop playing with her, so she appeared and played with the whip rope.

Although Cassiopeia did not participate in the Darkin War, she had served as a spy for the Black Rose. Given her understanding of blood magic, attacking her directly through her armor wouldn't be impossible; she wouldn't be foolish enough to expose herself to danger.

"I can refrain from using blood magic on you, on the condition that you don't disappear again," Katarina said in two voices simultaneously.

"I feel like I'm getting the short end of the stick, but if it's just for fun, it doesn't matter."

Cassiopeia coaxed her gently, but the next second she changed her expression, revealing a vicious nature like a snake baring its fangs.

Chapter 516 Who is More Shameless?

Several clones appeared out of thin air from the smoke, pushing thick, sharp spikes from all directions into Katarina's body, turning her into a hedgehog.

Blood trickled down the spikes and seeped into the soil. Cassiopeia looked at her with surprise, "Why didn't you dodge?"

“Because it’s unnecessary.” Katarina replied dismissively, and for a moment she seemed to transform back into the invincible Zoranny.

Seemingly realizing something, Cassiopeia's whip transformed into a pair of shadow snakes, coiling around Katarina, but still unable to stop her from melting into a pool of black blood and disappearing into the blood pool.

“Didn’t you say you wouldn’t use blood magic?!” Cassiopeia suddenly shouted.

"I only said it's not suitable for you, not that it's not suitable for me."

The pool of blood shifted, and Katarina reappeared, raising a Darkin scythe from it. She had never used such a weapon before, though she did wield dual swords, both of which were paired, suggesting they shared some commonalities.

She swung the chain blade around and flung it away. Cassiopeia dodged it, but a bloody hole appeared out of nowhere in front of the chain blade, which then turned and attacked her again.

Cassiopeia recognized this move immediately; Kai'Sa had used it against Xerath at the entrance to the Imperial Tomb. She dodged again, this time keeping a safe distance, and sure enough, the chains formed a tight net, sealing off her previous location.

"How did you know I was going to do that?" Katarina was quite impressed by Cassiopeia's actions; she hadn't expected her sister to have such combat instincts.

"Hehe, guess." Cassiopeia launched an attack, using the same trick to release clones, but Katarina had already summoned countless chains from the crimson space before the encirclement could be formed, piercing through all of these clones.
