Void Beetle Evolution Guide

Syndra wanted to see if she could easily crush the demon with her strength, while Evelynn also wanted to take a gamble and see if she could catch this big fish.
Evelyn suddenly burst into flames, and wherever the flames licked, whether it was her wounds or her clothes, they were completely burned away. What she revealed was a form somewhere between human and demon.
Her hair was a vibrant, fiery passion, burning like fire. Her body was completely bare, the writhing shadows like paint clung to her pale skin, like living leather. Her limbs were covered, but her vital parts were barely concealed.
In this form, Evelynn possesses both the allure of a demon and the beauty of a human. Even Syndra, a woman herself, couldn't help but twitch her eyelids upon seeing her, finding it hard to resist her captivating charm.
She swayed her wasp waist and pert buttocks, biting her lip in an alluring way, the tips of her claws and sharp teeth pointing at each other, as she walked gracefully toward Syndra with the most slender steps.
"Now it's my turn to take the initiative."
"You?"
Syndra flicked her finger, sending a shower of broken bricks hurtling towards Evelyn. Realizing that her magic was ineffective against demons, she deliberately changed her fighting strategy, no longer directly overwhelming her opponent with magic, but instead controlling surrounding objects to attack.
The bricks missed their target, piling up into a small mountain where Evelyn had been standing. A pair of whip-like spikes behind her instantly bound her like bandages, transforming her into a cocoon, and she was instantly moved to another location amidst the swirling shadows. (The rest of the text appears to be unrelated and possibly machine-generated gibberish.)
"How grumpy! It must hurt a lot if you get hit by it," Evelyn grumbled, then giggled before disappearing into the darkness, leaving behind a light, fleeting message: "Come find me, darling~"
As the demon vanished before her eyes, Syndra instantly became extremely vigilant. She unleashed her immense magical power, covering several blocks in the surrounding area, hoping to find traces of the demon.
To her surprise, she couldn't find Evelyn's outline in the spiritual realm. Why?
In the darkness, Evelyn's smiling eyes gleamed as she scrutinized Syndra with keen insight.
If she were a low-level demon who could only exist in the spiritual realm, she would certainly not have escaped Syndra's scan. Unfortunately, she is not.
Even among mid-level demons, Evelyn is among the strongest. Although she is not as powerful as a great demon like Tahm Kench who can create her own world within her, her specialized stealth ability allows her to become one with the shadows, making her far more powerful than Kai'Sa's stealth.
Syndra kept looking around. She knew Evelyn hadn't left and was definitely trying to sneak up on her. Unable to sense Evelyn's presence with magic, she had to use her eyes, but even that failed to reveal a single clue.
"Here it is, let me unearth the source of your pain within you~"
Just as she was in a daze, a pair of sharp claws gently landed on her shoulders, making her body stiffen. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of a breathtakingly beautiful face.
Evelyn's lips curled into a seductive smile as she breathed a sweet, warm breeze towards Syndra, while two shadowy whips behind her circled around Syndra's head from a blind spot.
"It hurts! No~ no!"
The next second, however, the demon was blasted away, letting out a heart-wrenching scream. A jet-black spike pierced her chest, pinning her firmly to the wall.
Syndra showed no fear on her face. The reason she didn't fly away was to lure the other party closer. She had gradually come to accept the existence of the armor; protected by it, she was no longer so vulnerable.
Besides, the Wild Hunt's silence didn't mean he wasn't there. He was quite interested in Evelynn, the demon, and also wanted to give Syndra some combat experience, which was why he didn't intervene immediately.
Evelyn is rotten to the core, but Syndra is no pushover either.
The witch swung her five fingers in a claw shape through the air, and the Wild Hunt's claw tore through space, plunging straight into Evelyn's abdomen like a hand knife, splitting her upper and lower body in two.
Evelyn repeatedly said she wanted to taste her pain, which made Syndra realize that the pain contained in her magic was actually nourishing to demons, greatly reducing its lethality. This is why Evelyn was able to penetrate her magic barrier.
But there wasn't a single suitable tool around; using bricks to smash the demon was just a stopgap measure. At least the Wild Hunt would have told her about those holy silver weapons specifically designed to deal with demons.
So she simply borrowed the Claw from the Wild Hunt; it should be enough as a makeshift weapon.
Syndra floated to Evelyn's side, crossed her legs, and sat on the demon's claw, looking at the ugly demon in front of her.
An angry expression covered her beautiful face, revealing her fangs.
"Now all I can say is that you've chosen the wrong target." Syndra's casual remark enraged Evelyn.
Although her body was broken in two, her movements were hardly affected. Two hooked whips lashed out from behind her like scorpion tails, and she quickly crawled toward Syndra, dragging her half-body with both hands.
Syndra retaliated immediately. As she floated backward, she clenched her fist tightly, and the demonic claw in front of her moved in sync with her movement, crushing the half-demon in her hand.
A chaotic, demonic mist instantly filled the alley, obscuring the view of the wisps of smoke. Only a strange purple light could be seen flickering within, and the laughter of a demon echoed in the air.
"Oh dear, I was just playing along, and you took it seriously. Fine then, I'll reluctantly be serious for once."
Evelyn was not dead. She could tell that Syndra was more interested in fighting than in that kind of thing. She wanted to cooperate with her so that she would mistakenly believe that she had successfully killed her, and then turn the tables and trample her underfoot, excavating a sweeter kind of pain.
However, the opponent's strength should not be underestimated. If she didn't take the battle seriously, she was afraid she would lose herself, which would be a great loss.
Evelyn's silhouette emerged from the mist in a magnificent pose, revealing a demonic form with two horns on its head, and a burning flame of burgeoning desire atop its head.
“My dear, tonight, I wonder how many people will die of grief. So, let your pain fill the emptiness within me.”
She spoke incredibly provocative words, changed into a new outfit of pain, her lips cracked open to her cheeks, and once again wore an unforgettable smile of desire.
Chapter 487 I've Got You
Evelyn swayed her wasp waist and pert buttocks, biting her lip in an alluring way, the tips of her claws and sharp teeth pointing at each other, as she walked gracefully toward Syndra with the most slender steps.
The devil's high heels clattered on the blood-stained bricks, each step leaving a blood-stained footprint.
She closed her eyes, leaned forward, and playfully blew a kiss, a puff of pink, heart-shaped smoke shooting from her mouth toward Syndra.
That was just a feint. The next second, Evelyn unleashed terrifying speed, teleporting her previously motionless body behind the heart and using her tail spikes to slash at it, creating a cross slash that broke through the mist.
Syndra used the Wild Hunt's claws as her protectors, shielding her like an iron wall. She used magic to pinpoint Evelyn's location, only to find that she had once again vanished into the shadows, leaving no trace.
Surrounded by swirling, eerie mist, Syndra could only glimpse a strange purple light flickering within the fog through her fingers.
"Hehe, don't think you're safe just because you're hiding inside." As the voice appeared, the flat barb at the end of the whip easily slipped into the gaps between the demon's claws, piercing Syndra inside. A single strike and a swift retreat, without the slightest greed.
The tip of the stinger gleamed with a dangerous and ambiguous light, and like venom, it produced an extraordinary pain that churned in my arm.
Syndra broke out in a cold sweat, feeling as if she had stuck her entire arm into the mouth of a beast, its serrated teeth repeatedly slicing at her delicate nerves in her arm and joints.
She tightened her grip, and dark magic coalesced into sharp spikes that erupted from her body like a hedgehog, riddling the surrounding houses with holes. Evelyn chuckled mockingly in the darkness, while Syndra, completely unaware of her location, made a futile and pointless resistance.
"Oh my god, that hurts terribly. Now you look even more delicious." Evelyn smelled the pain and, with nowhere to escape in the narrow alley, quickened her pace, wanting to embrace this delicious meal as soon as possible.
The sounds she made became the target of Syndra's frenzied attacks. Whenever a sound was heard, Syndra would immediately attack in the direction from which the sound came, her spikes shooting out like laser guns, but the result was only that Evelyn laughed even louder.
"Stop shooting! I can't take it anymore!"
The lingering laughter echoed in her ears, and Syndra had already attacked every possible spot, but still hadn't managed to harm the demon in the slightest.
This is unacceptable to Syndra. How could someone as powerful as herself be helpless against a demon? Is it because her attack methods are too limited and thus she is countered?
She felt the pain from the wound; if it weren't for the continuous degradation of her skin and armor, the toxins in her tail sting alone would have been enough to render her unable to fight.
However, that's not necessarily true. If she didn't have the armor, she wouldn't deliberately fight on the ground, and Evelyn wouldn't even be able to touch her.
Ugh, what a nuisance. There must be a way to break this deadlock.
Meanwhile, Evelyn also realized something was wrong. She had already injured Syndra, intending to wait until the poison took effect, and once the excruciating pain filled her body, the little beauty would be at her mercy.
However, Syndra showed no signs of weakening. Her attacks were like a storm, posing a threat to Evelyn. At the very least, she forced Evelyn to stay away and look for an opportunity.
Now it seems she shouldn't wait any longer; Syndra isn't some upright daisy, but a rose blooming in the night, incredibly troublesome.
Since the poison has no effect, she will ultimately have to risk being pricked and pick it herself. Once all the thorns on the rose have been broken, the price she paid will be paid by the other party's pain.
"Tsk tsk, enough foreplay." Evelyn emerged from the chaotic mist, and Syndra immediately shot spikes at her.
"Go to hell! Go to hell! Go to hell!" Syndra didn't like Evelyn hiding like a coward; she preferred her to be direct.
"Yes, that's right, scream it out, darling, it feels even better that way."
Evelyn laughed wildly, letting the whip rope wrap around her like a cocoon. She vanished into the shadows and leaped, instantly appearing in front of Syndra. The whip rope lashed out from behind her and into front of her, instantly slicing through the walls on both sides, slicing towards Syndra like scissors.
The demonic claws blocked her in time, sparks flying amidst the clang of metal. Syndra tried to grab the whip ropes, but Evelyn displayed astonishing flexibility, leaping off walls and performing somersaults to escape the demonic claws with various tricky moves, while simultaneously retaliating, the whip ropes following closely behind.
Syndra gathered the surrounding tiles in front of her to form a temporary shield, while Evelyn unleashed a flurry of claw strikes and lashes, sending countless fragments of stone flying everywhere.
Several times she caught a glimpse of the other's eyes through the torn gaps, and Syndra could only keep filling the shield wall in front of her with bricks.
The witch grew increasingly frustrated as she fought, and she used her magic to restrain the agile Evelyn. Although Evelyn broke free quickly, the witch still managed to seize the brief opportunity to stab her index finger into her abdomen and then lift her into the air.
"Ugh...it went in so deep~" Evelyn groaned in pain, laughing instead of getting angry, spouting a string of lewd remarks, but even the huge, penetrating wound couldn't make her out of breath.
She crossed her claws and reached for Syndra, letting out a bloodthirsty scream. Spikes burst forth from both sides, engulfing Syndra before she could react.
"Haa...haa..." Evelyn let out a tired gasp as she pulled her body away from the demon's claws. In the blink of an eye, the flowing shadows repaired the horrific bloody hole in her abdomen.
The ravenous demon twisted its slender waist toward its prey. Syndra was firmly imprisoned in place by the crystal clusters, with only her brain exposed. The huge claw she relied on was also pierced by the cross and stuck to the side, unable to move.
“Finally caught you.” Evelyn brought her face closer, observing Syndra’s unwilling expression up close. “It’s wonderful. You have so much pain to give. Can you tell me about your experiences? I promise I won’t laugh out loud.”
"Do you want to hear it?" Syndra asked. (The rest of the text appears to be gibberish and unrelated to the question.)
“Of course, I’ll be a loyal listener.” Evelyn was overjoyed. She wouldn’t start torturing her prey so soon; food needs complex processing before cooking to bring out its most perfect flavor.
"Then listen carefully."
Syndra spoke, but what she said was not what Evelyn wanted to hear at all; instead, it was some kind of ancient incantation.
The demon froze on the spot, its pupils suddenly shrinking into vertical slits. Then, it covered its ears in excruciating pain and struggled with its limbs contorted.
"Ugh... Ugh!! The decrees of the Ten Great Evil Lords, who are you? How do you know such a thing?!"
Chapter 488 The Demon's Demise
Evelyn struggled and became a constantly tearing shadow, a manifestation of her desire to escape but being unable to do so due to the spell sealing her abilities.
Syndra broke free from the purple crystal cluster's restraints, extending an arm from within to grab Evelyn's throat and lift her feet off the ground. The rest of her body gradually detached itself from the spikes' restraints.
Even a demon will bite when cornered. Evelyn seized the opportunity, her sharp fangs biting into Syndra's arm, carving deep cuts into the flesh and bone. (The last two lines appear to be random characters and are not translated.)
Syndra was roused to her fury. She grunted in pain and pounded Evelyn’s head with her other fist until she let go. Then she grabbed the horns growing from Evelyn’s forehead with both hands and slammed them over her shoulders to the ground.
The visceral impact of each punch fueled Syndra's excitement, far surpassing the weak feedback from magic. Her previous frail body would never have been able to produce such movements.
A spell from a higher-ranking demon sealed most of her abilities, leaving Evelyn with no choice but to try one last gamble.
"Suter! Stem! Vora! Quick! Help me!"
As Evelyn released another smoke bomb, the surrounding area erupted into chaos. One by one, shadowy figures appeared, transforming into various demonic silhouettes, emitting chilling screams amidst the churning pink mist.
They were all in the same form as Evelyn, their bodies completely black as if covered in oil paint, seemingly naked yet revealing their curves without reservation.
Demons are asexual, but they are, after all, products born from human emotions and desires, inheriting human aesthetics, and their forms exhibit different genders based on these.
Among the women were alluring figures like Evelyn, though their physiques weren't quite as perfect—some had flatter breasts, others less shapely buttocks—but overall they were still very attractive. Syndra also saw one similar to Ahri, with fox ears but only one tail.
There were relatively fewer men; one, clad in shadow armor, still appeared lean and sinister, while the other was as tall as an iron tower, his muscular upper body bare, the light emanating from his mouth revealing his arrogant smile.
While Evelynn was active in Runeterra, she attracted the attention of many lower-ranking demons, all of whom wanted to defeat the Black Widow. Their aim was simply to absorb her power and level up themselves.
Of course, most of the demons were killed in retaliation, while some talented ones were spared to live a life of ignominy, at the mercy of their masters. Evelyn would occasionally let them out to play when she was in a good mood.
Now, having played all her cards, she can only hope that these unreliable devils will save her, even if they don't mean it.
Clearly, she lost her gamble.
The demons trembled with fear upon hearing the incantation uttered by Syndra. The Ten Evil Lords were an inescapable presence etched deep within them, monsters that existed long before the birth of humankind, nightmares from which no intelligent life could escape.
The fact that the spells chanted by Syndra came from Osiris, the Lord of Joy, made the conflict of attributes even more terrifying for these demons who feed on pain.
"Evelyn, damn it, you actually said my real name!"
"Don't try to take my place if you're going to die!"
"Serves you right, Evelyn. I never thought you'd get what's coming to you."
The demons scorned her, some furious, some gloating, and all fled without offering her a helping hand.
Syndra didn't chase after them, nor did she have time to. The spell the Wild Hunt taught her required repeating the demon's true name repeatedly, and could only be used on one demon at a time.
She quickened her chanting, and instantly felt an overwhelming pain that blurred her vision, her body convulsing, wanting to dissipate but unable to, only able to scream. Finally, she seemed to be sucked into a vortex of shadows, compressed into a bead burning with will-o'-the-wisps and billowing black smoke.
The bead has Evelyn's signature double horns, the ends of which emit a pink glow, similar to an RGB light strip. In addition, it has eyes and a mouth, as well as two hooked ropes that resemble a tail, making it a chibi version of a demon.
As expected of the mischievous demon Osiris, even his spells are so amusing.
"You wretched human! I'll bite you to death!" Evelyn was still resisting, opening her fangs, but Syndra held her horns, rendering her unable to move.
"You defeated her." Wild Hunt finally spoke, but Syndra seemed sullen.
"It wasn't just me who defeated it."
She was somewhat discouraged. The Wild Hunt had taught her the spell, and even Evelyn's real name had been revealed to her by the Wild Hunt. From beginning to end, she hadn't gained the upper hand in her battle against the demon, and her strength seemed useless.
"You don't have tools like holy silver, and your abilities are also suppressed, so it's normal that it's difficult to fight. That's how demons are; their strengths and weaknesses are very obvious. As long as you do your preparations well, even a mortal can hunt demons."
Syndra looked at her injured arm without answering, which was tantamount to acknowledging Wild Hunt's statement and accepting her own weakness. Only by accepting defeat can one become stronger.
"Right, we need to find a container to seal Evelyn in to be safe, otherwise she might escape when the spell wears off." Wild Hunt looked at Evelyn, who had turned into a ball, and suddenly realized that they didn't have a suitable container to store her.
Nera only taught him the spell, but not the corresponding container. The water sphere that she always wore around her waist was the perfect container.
“Where are we going to find a container?” Syndra asked.
“Azir definitely has it, but it’s best not to bother others. I’ll have Elise search the vaults on the Shadow Isles; it’s definitely in there.”
"What do you plan to do with this demon after you subdue her?" Syndra asked again.
