The dark and broken sun was once shot down from the sky, and now in the underworld, it is just a replay of the story that has already happened.

But Manshu has more than just this sun. He turns to look at the river that has become raging because of the vibration of the sun and the disaster of the underworld.

Manshu used the power within the temple as the right of the ruler to separate and channel all the surrounding forces, and the river water had not yet become completely uncontrollable.

Violent floods are not a cause for concern, but completely uncontrollable flows of water cannot be used any further.

On the contrary, Mansu still needs to keep a ferocious posture with water, the great flood of the Nile River, which will also be able to transform into the orbit of the sun.

Manshu still needed to put the boat to cross the Nile River on the water, but now he had no time to make a solar boat, so he could just continue to use this body.

Mansu dug out his eyeball from his face again. This eyeball that Sekhmet transformed into was originally the sun, so there was naturally no need to do anything extra.

"It's a pity. There aren't that many usable parts on his body, so we only sold two. But he can't walk out of the temple in this state. Even if he is sacrificed, a crippled king will still make people feel unwilling."

Manshu didn't like the incomplete look, the blood dripping, the look like a living sacrifice.

He continued to sit back on his seat, but the blood made the scenery inside the temple a little dark.

Maybe we should remodel the temple into a golden Jiuqu Temple (′⑧※"4)'⒉、久楞』⑤肿ZHUanQuN:tower in the rain forest, which would look more interesting.

The gods depicted in the temple murals stopped singing joyfully and instead showed sad looks and began to sing songs of grief and anger.

But this sound made Manshu uncomfortable, so he scolded them, and then the sound changed to the battle horn.

"This is a sacrifice for victory, not for survival. What kind of song was that just now? I might as well walk out after hearing it."

The dark sun was finally unable to withstand the bombardment of the two treasures, the Temple of Ten Thousand Demons and the Epic of Creation. The mountains on the ground collapsed along with the sun. The King of Leopards who ruled over the mountains fell from the sky and smashed onto the ground, flattening all the peaks except for the high cliff in the center that supported the temple.

The seven gates of the underworld were also shattered one by one. It seemed that the foundation of the underworld was directly destroyed, and this underground cavity was about to return to its normal appearance.

Kingo and Gorgon were not going to give their opponents any breathing space. After releasing their Noble Phantasms, they immediately released their own Noble Phantasms again.

Anyway, the two of them possess abundant, even inexhaustible, magical power, and the only thing they need to pay is a negligible burden.

At this point, the pain of using magic is nothing, as long as the city and its owner can be crushed into dust that no longer exists.

But Jingu, who had just released his treasure, discovered something wrong. The seven gates to the underworld, which constituted the foundation of the underworld, had been destroyed, but the traces of the underworld had not disappeared.

Kingu could naturally recognize where the seven large gates that appeared in the underworld came from. After all, they all came from the underworld of Sumer, and Ereshkigal was a member of the Three Goddesses Alliance.

So Jingu could understand the appearance of the underworld under this city. It was obviously a small underworld modeled after the Sumerian underworld, and it had just been built.

The mountains composed of countless small mountains that appeared in the underworld also played a stabilizing role in this underworld, and their aura seemed to come from the same source as the rising black sun.

But the elements that make up this underworld have obviously been destroyed, whether it is the seven gates or the mountains, along with the sun that rises in the underworld.

But the concept of the underworld has not disappeared, so what else has not been destroyed in this underworld?

There was only the mountain in the center that supported the temple, the Temple of Ekur itself, and the great river that flowed through the underworld.

Is it that river? Jin Gu wondered in his heart, but there was no time to think about it any further.

The treasures of both have gathered here, and the target of their release will naturally not be anything unnecessary, but will go directly to the core in the center.

No matter how many other things are arranged here, as long as the central temple is destroyed and the actual owner of the temple is killed, then there is no need to worry about anything.

Jingu and Gorgon both thought in this way, so although they felt a little confused, they did not continue to think about it, nor did they have time to think about it, but headed towards the only remaining high cliff.

In a place beyond his sight, the eyeball that Manshu had dug out from his own face was thrown out of his hand, flew out of the temple gate, and flowed down along the trickling stream at the temple gate.

The eyeball eventually flows into the river along with the stream, floats on the surface of the river, and moves forward along the river.

A normal eyeball, this size, is flowing along the river. Without careful observation, who would be able to discover such a thing?

Therefore, even Jin Gu did not notice this for a while, and the eyeball quickly swam across the entire underworld along the raging river.

"Come and praise me, so that this will not be the last time you sing my praises, so sing as much as you can!"⑵

Manshu sat on a chair deep in the temple and spoke to the gods who were still singing.

No matter how fast this violent flood was, it would take some time for it to flow through the entire underworld, but the terrible magical bombardment of Gorgon and Kingu's treasures was already above Mansu's head.

Before everything is completed, he cannot die here, and this temple cannot be destroyed, otherwise everything will be in vain.

"Enlil, you are everywhere...!"

So the gods continued to sing Enlil, trying their best to squeeze out the little divinity they were given.

Manshu then sang another name, Let the sun rise from here.

"Shamash, when you rise on the great mountain, when you rise on the mountain of death!"

However, the sun that rose up in Manshu's voice this time was not as powerful as before, but was just a simple sun made of magic power.

Rising from the palace, connecting the mountain and the power of the temple, to resist the power that descended from the sky.

"After the first sun was shot down, is this the extent of the sun that rose again?"

This sun is indeed fragile. It made a shattering sound the first moment it was bombarded, and cracks on the surface of the sun spread rapidly.

“This is not the case.”

Mansu in the temple heard Gorgon's deafening voice and denied it with a smile, but no one could hear it.

Manshu does not have much time left, because the river is about to reach the end of its cycle, and the eye of the sun that follows the river must also complete its pilgrimage to the underworld.

When the fragile sun was shattered like glass by the two treasures, the real light rose from the other end, and the light blocked the treasures of the two people.

"When?"

Jin Gu stopped what he was doing and turned to look at the scorching sun rising from the other side.

The sun rose from the endless raging flood. A large amount of water vapor rose along with the rising of the sun, bringing the sight of rising clouds and strange light, making it even more difficult to see what was happening there.

But Jingu could know that they might have failed.

Chapter 157 Reconstruction

There is no chance to stop the sun that has rushed out from the raging flood. The sun has completed its tour in the underworld, and it is time to rise from the underworld to the world.

The scorching sunlight brings not only unbearable heat, but also visual distortions and changes that come with the light.

Kingo's body made of mud and the weapons constructed by the gods all felt melting, which was more terrifying than the feeling of dissolution brought by the Gorgon.

Gorgon's Noble Phantasm is more targeted at life, and has much less effect on inorganic matter.

At least it is not so easy to dissolve Jin Gu by smashing him. It can even be said that it is a very difficult task to accomplish.

"I didn't expect that there was another sun hidden in his body. I heard the voice calling Shamash through the crack of the temple door. I thought if it was the sun of Utu, I wouldn't be afraid. But I didn't expect that this sun came from the west and rose from the Nile."

Jin Gu said in annoyance. Although he expected that the sun might rise again, but without much preparation, the rising sun would indeed be as fragile as the one that was shattered before.

Shamash held a much higher position in the Babylonian period, but at that time, he was still called Utu, and his status was not as high as that of his father Nanna, the moon-god.

At this time, the sun was inferior to the moon, not as high above, and unable to protect agriculture, so it was naturally despised.

At least so far, no mythological records with Utu as the protagonist have been found in the Sumerian period. He basically plays a supporting role in other myths.

Of course, this is also relative. In the list of gods excavated during the Early Dynastic Period, his name is ranked second only to Enlil, Enki, and An, plus Inanna and Nanna.

In later lists of gods he appears between Nanna and Adad, and in Babylonian lists of gods he is between Ishkur and Ninurta.

Although he is indeed an important god, his position is often ranked lower among the truly most important gods. At least the moon does overwhelm the sun.

Although he has also been called by very lofty titles, such as Shamash is the Lord of Gods, Shamash is Enlil of Gods, and Shamash is the most important of the gods, but the scope of his spread is basically limited to Larsa.

Larsa was the city that served Utu. It was located southeast of Uruk and northeast of Uruk, so it would not be affected too much.

However, this city was never qualified to challenge the Sumerian kingship. The status of this city was never that high. It was only during the period close to Babylon that it became powerful for a time.

"The sun on the Nile is not comparable to the sun on this land. It is comparable to Enlil, Enki and An, and is the highest belief of the Egyptians."

Although the scorching sunlight was not that strong, the power had been truly demonstrated, and Jingu could only choose to avoid it.

"If we want to kill the fake god Enlil, it is not enough to use the Goddess of the Forest as the vanguard. Perhaps we really need to rely on the power of the other two goddesses and let the Goddess of Death destroy this temporary underworld."

Although it is regrettable, it must be said that there is still hope. Jingu did not decide to fight to the end, but gave in.

"Mother, if we continue like this, we have no chance of winning. His power will only continue to accumulate in the underworld, but we cannot kill him. The best outcome is a stalemate here, but this is no different from failure.

Please calm down your anger for a while. If this ends, you will not be able to swallow your anger. You cannot let humans suffer. You cannot give up your hatred so easily. You cannot stop burning here, so please return to your Blood Temple first."

Jingu said to Gorgon, and the goddess accepted the advice, turned around angrily in silence, and made her own decision.

But Gorgon still couldn't calm down his anger, and just turned around and spoke again.

"You won't be able to live for too long, God Enlil. The fate of human destruction cannot be changed. Today you have stopped me from destroying this place, but in a few days I will come back to destroy Nippur. By then you will not be able to stop me and will be killed miserably by me and my monsters."

After saying this, Gorgon broke through the wall and rushed out of the city, transforming into a giant snake that broke through the ground and disappeared.

Jin Gu saw Gorgon leave safely, so he flew away at high speed.

"Well, I'm in such a mess. Even my arms are numb and I can't lift them."

Mansu sat in his gloomy palace, and when he saw the goddess and her child leave, his face showed little joy.

How could such a dilapidated scene be considered a victory? It was obviously not, and could not be called a victory. It could only be described as a dismal ending, barely a draw.

It would probably take more effort to rebuild the city than before. At least the city had to be restored to the state it was created in. This would not be done in a day or two.

The city no longer looked like a city. Except for the broken walls still standing on the ground, there was nothing useful left inside the city. Except for the high mountain and the temple in the center, there was nothing else.

Everything was turned into dust in the swirling flood, along with the goddess's treasure.

The sun did not rise completely in the end, and Manshu called back the rising sun and made it fall back into his eyes.

Manshu recovered his magic power and continued to command the land he stood on to grow upwards.

This mountain fell from the sky to the bottom of the underworld, and now it continues to rise higher. It does not make the ground rise, but only makes the mountain rise, so that most of the mountain can be hidden in the underworld, to create another disguise.

It was not until the top of the mountain reached the level of the city that Manshu summoned more soil and rocks to fill the sky above the underworld and the ground of the city.

After all, it cannot be filled too thinly. If it is too thin, people may accidentally fall into the underworld. No matter what, the underworld is not suitable for ordinary people to enter.

After Mansu paved the ground, he waved his hand and released light from the temple to guide the citizens who were still on the broken city wall.

They were led by the usual stairs, and were asked to walk on the stairs made of light to the mountain that was still rising. The height of the mountain above the ground only needed to be maintained at about four or five hundred meters. Manshu did not let the mountain continue to rise, but stopped its growth.

Manshu did not show up himself, but remained sitting in the temple, but was making another thing.

His sanctuary needed a guardian, and he needed someone to speak to outsiders and proclaim his word.

The temple of Enlil once had a guardian. In the mythology of the Babylonian period, Anzu, who stole the female version of Destiny, was the guardian of the temple of Enlil.

But it was not loyal to its duty and stole the Tablets of Destiny while Enlil was away.

The gods sent Adad, Gibil and Sarah to attack Anzu. These three gods were gods related to storms and rain, fire, and warriors respectively, but they all failed in the end.

It was the god Enki who finally came up with the idea to send Ninurta, the son of the god Enlil, to attack Anzu. Ninurta successfully defeated Anzu and regained the clay tablets of fate.

With this achievement, Ninurta stood out among the gods and became an important member of the gods.

To call upon Anzu Bird as the guardian of the temple is a bit of a willful act, which is obviously not something that can be done.

Manshu wanted to recruit the hero who conquered Anthurium, Ninurta, the son of Enlil, a powerful warrior who conquered countless monsters and made great achievements.

Ninurta himself was a god worshipped in the city of Nippur, and because of his identity as the son of Enlil, he also enjoyed considerable honor in the city of Nippur.

The main center of Ninurta's worship was Ekur in Nippur, and as for the city of Girsu, the deity worshipped in Girsu was probably a deity similar to Ninurta.

As the status of Girsu in Sumer declined, the gods worshipped in Girsu became more and more confused with Ninurta, so that they were later regarded as the same god.

With this idea in mind, Manshu planned to construct a warrior who could handle most of the things on his behalf, so that he could devote himself to rebuilding the city.

So Mansu finally stepped down from his seat, stretched out his hand and carved a picture of the god on the door of the temple.

The first story to be carved was that of Ninurta, holding a thunderbolt and having four wings on his back, chasing the Anthurium.

What Manshu needed first was his aggressive side, the side of a strong warrior.

So the first scene to be engraved was the scene of his battle. Next, under the mural of Ninurta chasing the Anthurium, Mansu painted the scenes of many beasts being conquered.

A six-headed ram was hung on the dust guard in front of Ninurta's chariot, a seven-headed giant snake was hung on the crossbar of the chariot, a mermaid was hung on the footboard, a boat that took the souls of the dead to the underworld was hung on the chariot, and a precious metal was placed on the inner pin of the chariot. These were all Ninurta's spoils of war, and he placed all these things on his chariot to show his bravery.

These defeated spirits and monsters are described on the stone tablets as strange little gods, many of which are used to refer to various tribes in the nearby mountains. It can also be considered a story that emerged from the mythologization of the conquest of the nearby mountains during the Sumerian period.

In addition to being the god of war, Ninurta is also the god of fertility and the embodiment of the god of agriculture.

Legend has it that Enlil once taught his son Ninurta the skills of farming. His name also means the lord of the earth and the king of barley.

In fact, Ninurta was originally depicted as the god of agriculture and medicine, and the earliest descriptions of him showed him curing people's diseases and saving them from demons.

It was only in the later evolution that Ninurta was gradually transformed into a warrior god and was revered for his warrior attributes, especially among the Assyrians, who were quite popular and worshipped as a brave warrior.

So what Mansu drew on the other side was not a warrior, but a farming god holding wheat and planting crops, on which he wrote Ninurta's advice on agricultural issues and added a picture.
