The recruitment method of the Codex of War is different from that of Warhammer Total War, and is closer to the tabletop rules as a whole. System units are divided into five categories: Lords, Heroes, Core Units, Special Units, and Rare Units. However, there are also some units that are independent of this system, which we will not mention for now.
Lords and heroes are not to be mentioned. Core units are the most common and iconic units of each faction, such as the various provincial infantry of the Empire. Special units are the elite troops of each faction, such as the Imperial Flower and the Chicken. Rare units are the rarest and most powerful (or have special abilities) units in each faction, such as the Steam Tank, which is a rare unit of the Empire faction. However, this is not absolute. Due to the gameplay, some things that are not rare at all in the background are also included in the rare unit category in the tabletop rules. Typical examples are the Eagle Claw Ballista and Giant Eagle of the High Elves - both of which are rare units of the High Elves.
All system units from the Codex of War have restored their combat effectiveness in the background setting, as well as some abilities, characteristics, and even personalities that could not be made in Warhammer Total War due to limitations of game mechanics.
Most importantly, the owner of the War Codex and all system units are completely immune to Chaos Corruption! In a way, this may be the most powerful cheat? In addition, in addition to being immune to Chaos Corruption, the owner and system units are completely dead if they are killed, and there is no possibility of resurrection.
This can be said to be a natural nemesis of demons and undead.
Chapter 34: The Supreme War Codex (Part 2)
The recruitment method of the Holy Book of War tests the bloodline of the owner.
All the "paid functions" of this thing require points, and points can only be obtained by killing the Pan-Chaos camp. The so-called Pan-Chaos camp mainly refers to the Chaos Demons, Chaos Warriors, Beastmen, Chaos Dwarves, and Skaven Ratmen. In other words, as long as you worship the Chaos God or Chaos Without Division, you belong to the Pan-Chaos camp. In addition, those individuals who are deeply affected by the Wind of Magic, such as the mutants widely present in various human kingdoms in the Old World, or the Scorpion-tailed Lions distributed in many mountains, are also members of Pan-Chaos.
The points gained from killing the target are proportional to its strength. However, even if the strength is the same, different Chaos factions give different points. Under the premise of the same strength, the most valuable is Chaos Demon, and the least valuable is Rat. The average value of the former is often more than three times that of the latter.
As long as you have points, you can recruit troops, buy equipment and other supplies, and achieve all kinds of magical effects. However, this is not a stable way of trading. According to the instruction manual, due to the interference of chaos, at least at this stage, all trading items in the War Codex are random: or to put it in a simpler and easier way, it is like drawing cards in a mobile game to compete for bloodline.
There are various pools in the War Codex. In addition to the most important recruitment pool, there are also follower pools, equipment pools, material pools, entertainment pools, etc. Take the recruitment pool as an example. A single draw costs 1000 points. If you choose ten consecutive draws, you can get an extra draw opportunity. However! No matter which pool, there is no such thing as a guaranteed minimum.
You can draw recruitment cards from the recruitment pool, and there is a very small chance of drawing some unexpected surprises. There are five types of recruitment cards, corresponding to the five categories of Lords, Heroes, Core Units, Special Units, and Rare Units. Naturally, Core Unit Cards are the easiest to get, while Rare Unit Cards are the most difficult. In addition, Core Unit Cards can be used to exchange for Lord Cards and Hero Cards. The specific standard is that three Core Unit Cards can be exchanged for one Hero Card, and ten Core Unit Cards can be exchanged for one Lord Card.
This is to prevent the owners of the Holy Book of War from having their troops exceed the standard size, but not being able to find a few middle and senior officers to manage the entire army.
An Jiyue opened the War Canon and checked it out. She found that she now had 3 points as initial funds, which was just enough for three ten-draws in the recruitment pool. However, she couldn't just spend all these precious points, because in addition to the recruitment card, the recruitment itself also cost points!
In this regard, the value of system units is the same as in the tabletop rules. Taking the protagonist of Warhammer, the Empire, as an example, an Empire spearman costs 5 points, and a halberd soldier costs 6 points per person. If you choose to equip them with shields, you will have to spend an additional 1 point per person. As for the imperial flower, these direct guards of the elector are 11 points each.
According to the setting of the War Code, except for the top elite and the most pleasing cannon fodder, most of the system infantry and system cavalry are uniformly a team of 100 people. Unless the system artillery is a super heavy artillery like Queen Bess, each team has six artillery pieces, and in addition to the artillery group, there will also be draft horses and other livestock for traction.
[Do you want to perform 1 ten-draws in the recruitment pool? Yes/No]
An Jiyue clicked the "yes" button with her mind.
[Draw completed, get Recruitment Card o Hero × 1, Recruitment Card o Core Unit × 8, Recruitment Card o Special Unit × 2]
On the dialogue interface in front of the girl, 11 cards that looked like Clow Cards at first glance turned over one by one, revealing their true appearances. An Jiyue was not sure whether her luck was good or bad, but this level of gain was far higher than her lowest psychological expectation.
Looking at the two shining special unit cards, An Jiyue switched the dialogue interface to the recruitment column. She had already chosen her faction before crossing over, and the words [Aurora Celestial Empire (self-designed by the fan)] were placed in the most conspicuous position. After thinking for a while, the girl switched the interface back to the extraction column, and once again selected the ten-combination in the recruitment pool.
[Draw completed, get Recruitment Card o Hero × 3, Recruitment Card o Core Unit × 7, Recruitment Card o Special Unit × 1]
Rare units really can't be released casually, the girl thought. But thinking about what she had given her fan fiction Zhendan, this seemed normal... The purpose of the four hero cards was determined first, one each for the school marquis and Luoyan Lang, and then two school lieutenants. Originally, An Jiyue wanted a school lieutenant and a Taoist priest, but she thought that she already had them, and she was not short of spellcasters for the time being. Relying on a school lieutenant to manage at least a thousand troops would be suspicious of murdering her subordinates.
A lieutenant costs 70 points, a lieutenant (equivalent to Shushu's assassin) costs more, 80 points, and Luoyan Lang costs 65 points. In the tabletop rules of Warhammer, characters usually have various additional upgrade options, such as the choice of carrying various ordinary equipment, magic items, mounts, etc. In An Jiyue's case, magic items must be drawn from the equipment pool, and ordinary equipment is given for free, anyway, it is not worth much. Finally, the only upgrade option available is the mount.
According to the tabletop rules, Xiao Hou and Luo Yan Lang are pure foot units and cannot ride mounts. However, the setting of the War Codex is closer to reality. As long as it is not a faction like the dwarves, the mounts will not be so rigidly stipulated.
There are many mounts available for the characters of Anshi Zhendan. Considering that Xiaohou and Luoyanlang both fight on foot, equipping them with mounts is purely for transportation, so An Jiyue bought a mechanical horse for each of the two buddies, totaling 40 points; Xiaowei often needs to charge into battle, and considering the cost and performance, An Jiyue bought a Qilin for each of them, totaling 120 points.
There were no cool special effects. To be more precise, there were no sound or light effects at all. Four living people holding the reins of their mounts appeared out of thin air in front of the girl, then they all bent slightly towards her and saluted with their arms crossed.
"Your Highness, please meet the commander!"*4
"Luo Yanlang will go to the nearby high ground to be on guard, and Xiaohou will go around to explore the surroundings first," An Jiyue nodded slightly, and then began to give orders, "As for the two of you... follow me first."
"Yes!"*4
Wearing a leather jacket, a gray cloak with a hood, carrying a heavy muzzle-loading rifle with a scope on his back, and various odds and ends hanging around his waist, Luo Yanlang pulled his hood, first raised his head to observe the surrounding environment, and then walked towards the vantage point with the best view nearby; his appearance was very similar to Shen Lian in "The Blade of the Assassin", but his weapon was replaced by a pair of Emei spears. Xiao Hou took a step back and disappeared from An Jiuyue's sight out of thin air, as if he had become invisible.
Both mechanical horses were kept. Fortunately, neither the mechanical horse nor the Qilin needed people to watch them all the time. The former, as a mechanical beast, would not make any unnecessary moves, and the latter's intelligence level might be higher than that of most humans.
Two captains wearing black lacquered iron armor with mountain patterns, phoenix-wing helmets on their heads, badges hung on their backs with thin ropes, and iron maces slung around their waists stood behind An Jiuyue without saying a word and temporarily took on the duties of bodyguards.
The girl began to have a headache about what to use the three special unit cards for recruiting.
Chapter 35 Recruitment Completed
In the Zhendan fan military book written by An Jiyue himself, the military can be divided into two systems: regular troops and controlled troops.
The regular soldiers were the regular armed forces directly under the jurisdiction of the Zhendan court, recruited, trained and maintained by the court. The regular soldiers were not necessarily from Zhendan, as long as they joined the court army, they were regular soldiers. For example, there has always been a certain proportion of naturalized Huns in the Zhendan cavalry, and there has always been no shortage of Shanyue people who wanted to eat the emperor's food in the southern army.
The vassal states were the inner vassal states that were subject to the imperial court. The imperial court could not directly control these people, but had to mobilize this force indirectly through various local officials. Unlike the outer vassal states, the inner vassal states were also legally part of the Celestial Empire, but for various reasons, the imperial court could not send officials to register them as ordinary people, so the local officials inherited the power.
In the fantasy world of Warhammer, where many races live, the legal residents living in the territory of the Celestial Empire are not just humans. In addition to naturalized Huns, Shanyue people and other human races, there are also monkey people, tiger people, Di people, mountain spirits, Tu Wushang... and other races living on the land of China, and this is only the part that submits to the court.
As internal vassal states, the vassal counties naturally had military obligations in exchange for the court's official recognition of their legal status. As long as the court ordered them to do so, they had to provide their own weapons and food, and send people to follow the court's army to fight, and they were not allowed to shirk their responsibilities. Of course, this military obligation was not unlimited. Different vassal counties had different standards for mobilization, ranging from one in three men to one in twenty men. If the limit was exceeded, the court had to allocate supplies, food and wages, and had to discuss with the local officials.
The people with the lowest recruitment standard were the Shanyue people, and the "one out of twenty men" was for them. The Shanyue people had lived in the mountains on the southeastern border of the Zhendan Empire for generations. To the south was the heartland of Horus (Note 1), the territory of the snake people, a place almost entirely covered by lush tropical rainforests. Due to the complex entanglements in history and the pressure of defense in reality, the military obligations of the Shanyue people were the easiest of all the vassal states, and the court often even needed to send troops to reinforce them. The court had only one requirement for them: don't let the snake people rush out of the mountains, and the rest was up to them.
An Jiyue doesn't need these tough and cruel mountain people right now. Although the mountains on the edge of the world are also mountains, they are completely different from the hometown of the Shanyue people. Compared with the regular soldiers, the biggest advantage of the controlled soldiers in terms of tactics is that they are generally good at fighting in a certain specific environment. For example, the Shanyue people are a group of wolf exterminators who can settle in Lustria...
There are also monkeys who are good at fighting in high altitude mountains. These noisy, smart, and mischievous monkeys live high up in the Mountains-of-Heaven on the southwestern border of the Celestial Empire. Their homeland is almost the same as the mountains at the edge of the world: towering, cold, and sparsely covered with vegetation.
[Do you want to recruit the special unit "Giant Ape (24)" x 1? Yes/No]
As the score suddenly decreased by 1200 points, 24 monkeys, three meters tall, wearing leather armor covering their entire bodies, pointed four-petal iron helmets, holding large sticks that matched their body sizes in their right hands, slingshots of the same size hanging around their waists, and covered with light gray fur, appeared out of thin air in front of An Jiuyue.
"Boss!", "Chief!", "Hairless one!" The giant apes greeted each other in unison.
In the setting written by An Jiyue himself, the monkey people are a kind race except for being a little bit naughty. They are a short-lived species, and most monkey people will not live more than 50 years old. However, there are always exceptions. A very small number of monkey people can live longer, and these monkey people who have lived beyond 50 years old for unknown reasons will gradually become larger and larger until they are comparable to ogres. Of course, these special monkeys are definitely not as fat as ogres!
Compared to ordinary monkey-men, the giant apes have a long life span, and can generally live for more than a thousand years. They not only retain the advantages of the monkey-men race, which are flexible and agile, but also have a strong physique that their smaller counterparts do not have. In terms of strength alone, the giant apes are not inferior to ordinary ogres, but the upper limit of the giant apes' strength is not as high as that of ogres.
Whether it is a young monkey or a big monkey, their fighting style is a unique combination of long-range and short-range. Monkeys usually use iron-wrapped sticks at both ends in close combat, and use slings for long-range combat. Monkeys also use javelins, crossbows and firearms, but none of them are as popular as slings. In addition, in order to maintain their agility, monkeys generally do not wear iron armor.
"Move aside," An Jiyue waved her hand impatiently, "I still need to recruit other people."
"Oh……"
[Do you want to recruit the special unit "Eagle Guard (16)" x 1? Yes/No]
Air currents rose in the open space, spreading dust and fine sand. Sixteen sturdy riders wearing the same style of black iron mountain armor as the lieutenants, with only slightly different helmets, rode on mechanical birds to respond to the call. They held round shields in their left hands and spears in their right hands, and their mounts were comparable in size to the giant eagles of Ulthuan.
If you only look at the appearance, the first impression of the Eagle Guard is that it is a flying cavalry that only fights close to the enemy; but the fact is just the opposite. The Eagle Guard is actually a projectile air cavalry similar to the Wood Elf Falcon Cavalry. The mechanical bird has a built-in bomb bay in its abdomen, which can carry six tracking rockets. This weapon is a miniaturized version of the God Fire Flying Crow used by the army and navy, using nitro sugar as a propellant and black powder as a warhead.
Due to the material and weight of the charge, the power of the tracking rocket is not very great, basically the same as the grenade launcher used by the Imperial Pioneer Knights...but the ability to be guided is an unparalleled advantage.
The rugged terrain of the World's Edge Mountains is extremely unfriendly to cavalry, but the Eagle Guards flying in the sky can avoid this disadvantage. These blue sky darlings are very good at launching surprise attacks from the air, using homing rockets to eliminate high-value enemy targets, or using their range advantage to eliminate enemy air units, and then quickly escape.
The only drawback of the Eagle Guard is that it is very troublesome to supply ammunition. After all, tracking rockets are not something that can be made by any small workshop. Tracking rockets can be drawn from the supply pool of the Holy Book of War, but the extraction mechanism of this thing is random, and the probability of drawing the required supplies... just think about it and you know it must be very low.
Four heroes cost a total of 445 points, a team of giant apes cost 1200 points, and a team of Eagle Guards cost 1120 points. These three items alone cost 2765 points. There was still one special card left, and the girl quickly made a decision.
[Do you want to recruit the special unit "General Cannon (6)" x 1? Yes/No]
The Great General Cannon is the main artillery equipment of the Cathay Dynasty. It is similar to the same type of weapons of the Empire and the Dwarves. The only difference is that the Great General Cannon is a copper-cased iron-framed sleeve cannon, so it has both the lightness of the iron cannon and the reliability of the copper cannon. In addition to the six cannons and the matching gun crews, a team of the Great General Cannon also includes 6 wooden oxen and flowing horses, an average of five per cannon.
Recruiting this kind of heavy artillery was the result of An Jiyue's careful consideration. The important role of artillery in war is beyond doubt, and the mobility problem can be solved through extraordinary means - in simple terms, the artillery is usually pulled by wooden oxen and flowing horses, and if necessary, An Jiyue will personally use [Gold Controlling Technique] and [Flying Clouds and Driving Mist] to solve the problem.
A general cannon costs 125 points. After using up the three special cards, An Jiyue still has 6485 points and 15 core cards. Compared with the repeated consideration of special cards, the allocation of core cards is much simpler.
[Do you want to recruit 100 core units of "Lancers (6)"? Yes/No]
[This unit has additional upgrade options. Do you want to upgrade it to "Central Army Battalion"? Yes/No]
[Do you want to recruit 100 core units "Gunner (2)"? Yes/No]
[This unit has additional upgrade options. Do you want to upgrade it to "Shen Jiying"? Yes/No]
[Do you want to recruit 100 core units: "Hozen (2)"? Yes/No]
An Jiyue chose no for both additional upgrade options because she didn't have enough points. As the two basic infantry units of Zhendan's regular soldiers, the spearman costs 5 points each, and upgrading to the Central Army Camp requires an additional 3 points per person; the musketeer costs 9 points each, and upgrading to the Divine Machine Camp requires an additional 1 point per person. The monkey soldier costs 8 points each.
After this round of purchases, An Jiuyue's account balance instantly hit rock bottom, with only 85 points left.
……
Note 1: In Warhammer Total War, it is translated as "Kulish". In addition to keeping an eye on the Monkey King and Ah San, Fire Dragon Brother's job also includes defending against the invasion of snake people from this place.

Chapter 36: Granny Stone Hall
Aside from Granni Stone Hall, there are no other proper dwarven settlements east of the Eternal Peak... or if there are, they have long been abandoned.
When facing the fierce hobgoblin army, Thorgrim ordered the abandonment of Granni Stone Hall and the transfer of all personnel and materials that could be taken away to the Eternal Peak. At that time, the High King swore in public that after repelling Koshuzan and his army, he would definitely recapture this special stronghold. Subsequently, this place was abandoned.
But the Chaos Dwarf allies of Suzan came here later, and they toppled statues, smashed altars and shrines, and wantonly destroyed everything in Granni Stone Hall, desecrating the sacred territory of the Dwarf Ancestor God in every way they could think of. They also built an altar dedicated to the Dark Father Hasut, and all the Dwarf captives who were unfortunate enough to be captured by the Chaos Dwarves were brought here, and then turned into ashes in flames, smoke, and the crazy laughter of their fallen cousins.
When Ke Shuzhan personally led the Qiexue Army and the main force of the Azog Legion and advanced towards Black Rock Castle at a subtle speed, a centaur named Tauruk was ordered to lead a small team of centaur tearers, plus two hundred earth elf servants to stay here to guard the altar of the Bull God and the blazing sacred fire in the altar.
They were very alert. The hobgoblins who were responsible for patrolling around Granni Stone Hall and looking for loot were the first to notice the approaching strange army. After comparing the numbers of both sides, the hobgoblins quickly chose to retreat and were ready to run away immediately if the situation became unfavorable.
After receiving the news, the centaurs Tauruk immediately began to deploy defenses. Just as they were ready, the enemy appeared in the sight of the hobgoblin sentinels. A thousand meters away from Granni Stone Hall, the strange army in red robes and black armor stopped. A moment later, accompanied by loud thunder echoing in the mountains, the shells hit the heads of the centaurs and their green-skinned servants.
The round cast iron shells rolled and smashed towards the dwarven sanctuary that was being desecrated. At this distance, the General Cannon, whose barrel had been processed by a boring machine and equipped with a skilled gun crew, could accurately hit a target the size of a barn. In the first round of bombardment, an unlucky centaur was hit in the head by a shell, and the head of the Chaos Dwarf with horns was instantly shattered into pieces; another shell fell into a group of hobgoblin archers who were lining up, bouncing and crushing a dozen greenskins into rotten meat.
"Hide!" Tauruk the Centaur roared in a dull voice, "Hurry up and find cover!"
Taurus the Centaur did not think that the enemy's bombardment could pose a real threat. As a stronghold built by the dwarves, Granni Stone Hall itself was a small but well-equipped fortress, and the enemy was clearly using some kind of field artillery. Perhaps as field artillery, these cannons were heavy enough, but in the face of the fortifications left by the dwarves, this level of firepower was not enough to break through the defense in a short period of time...
The fellow whose upper body was a Chaos Dwarf and whose lower body was that of a bull was thinking so, and then he saw the calibrated second round of bombardment directly hit the altar, smashing and breaking the solid stone materials found on site, and blowing the bull horn decoration that symbolized Hasut into pieces.
After a brief and oppressive silence, the Centaurs, led by their leader, took the initiative to leave the ready-made fortifications. When the shells hit the altar, every Centaur present suddenly realized their fate: today was their death, and this was their end. As the guards of the Temple of Hasut, the Centaurs shouldering this sacred mission could not sit idly by and watch the enemy destroy the altar of the Father of Darkness, even if the enemy did so to force them to abandon their shelters and expose themselves in the open terrain without cover.
Leaving the protection of the fortress, the Centaurs launched an attack on the flat valley between the mountains. Driven and forced by them, the hobgoblins rushed to the front and used their not-so-strong bodies to block the shells. In order to prevent these cunning greenskins from escaping, the Centaurs also ordered all the wolf riders to dismount and walk on foot.
Under the influence of the Chaos Dwarf master in the past, the hobgoblin reluctantly did as he was told.
The third round of bombardment came soon. The shells seemed to be flying slowly, as if they could be stopped by a hand. They bounced through the greenskins and made bloody alleys, breaking the arms, legs, and torsos that stood in their way. This level of casualties was not enough to shake the fighting spirit of the hobgoblins. However, the enemy's artillery fire continued to attack at a rate of two per minute, and each round of bombardment was extremely accurate. Almost all the shells hit the messy formation of the hobgoblins.
At the same time, as the distance between the two sides was getting closer and closer, the little greenskins also saw their enemies clearly: human soldiers wearing double-breasted foam-studded cotton armor, wearing Fanyang felt hats, and holding muskets were arranged in a slender and tight formation, standing at the forefront of the entire square; and behind these musketeers were pikemen equipped with black lacquered iron crotch armor, holding 5-meter-long four-sided pyramidal guns and standing solemnly. In front of all the pikemen stood a long shield (tower shield), and behind the long shield there was a bracket that supported the ground diagonally, so that the entire shield could stand on the ground.
The number of enemy musketeers alone was almost the same as that of the hobgoblins that had not been bombarded, and the number of spearmen behind them was several times that. The casualties caused by the bombardment, coupled with the enemy's obvious numerical advantage, immediately shook the cunning hobgoblins. Noticing the commotion of these little greenskins, the centaurs who were behind to support the formation did not hesitate at all, raised the battle axe in his hand and chopped the hobgoblin closest to him in half.
Under this extremely effective "encouragement", the little greenskins quickly regained their superficial composure. Shells continued to fall, and some even hit the centaurs hiding behind them directly due to the angle. When the greenskins' vanguard crossed a certain invisible boundary, the artillery crew of the General Cannon replaced the solid bullets with heavy shotgun shells with each bullet weighing 110 grams (Note 1).
The heavy canisters that swept through the greenskin ranks like a storm became the last straw that broke the camel's back for these little greenskins. The demoralized hobgoblins ran around like headless flies. No matter how the centaurs hacked and killed the fleeing soldiers, they could not stop the little greenskins from trying to escape from the battlefield... However, escaping was doomed to be futile. The two teams of hozen soldiers set out long before the battle started, outflanking the enemy's two wings. When the hobgoblins who had thrown away their armor and helmets thought they could escape, they were greeted by stones thrown by slingshots.
Slingshots are basically ineffective against heavily armored units or enemies with large shields, but are surprisingly effective against lightly armored or even unarmored targets. The polished pebbles hit the greenskins' heads accurately, and most of the hit hobgoblins fell to the ground with their heads tilted and motionless on the spot, with only a few greenskins still able to make some humming sounds.
Before they could react, a group of furry monkeys rushed over with sticks raised to their eyebrows.
Amid the shrill screams of the hobgoblins and the joyful shouts of the monkeys, the centaurs remained unmoved and completed their final formation. They ignored the hozen soldiers who were approaching from both wings with ill intentions after quickly killing the hobgoblins, and led by Tauruk, they roared and shook the earth. Then, they launched the last charge of their lives.
What greeted them was a doubled firepower. The general cannon fired another round of heavy shotgun shells, and then the artillery crew immediately hung the gun carriage on the wooden ox and horse, and hurriedly pulled the cannon back; the next to take action was the giant ape. These calm old monkeys raised the specially made large slingshots above their heads and swung them vigorously. The slingshots were stretched tight under the centrifugal force. After they spun rapidly for several circles above the giant ape's head, the giant ape loosened its fingers, and one end of the slingshot was thrown out from between the giant ape's fingers. One by one, the round stones as big as small melons broke out of the leather bag and hit the centaurs charging towards the artillery fire.
The heavy shotgun shells tore through the rough skin and tough flesh of the centaurs, and they fell down unwillingly with blood holes all over their bodies, or their skulls were smashed by rocks with crisp sounds, and their white brains flew everywhere. After two rounds of fire, more than a dozen centaurs were lying on the ground, and only Tauluk was still roaring and charging.
An Jiyue raised her eyebrows and was about to take action when a gunshot rang out. Luo Yanlang, who had disappeared after the battle began, calmly pulled the trigger. The lead bullet was squeezed out of the barrel with four rifling grooves by the rapidly expanding gunpowder gas, and hit the right eye of the centaur Tauruk with incredible accuracy, and then drilled into the monster's brain.
Under the influence of inertia, the centaur Tauruk rushed forward a few more steps before stopping. He stared with his only remaining left eye, as if trying to find out which direction the attack came from. The battlefield was briefly quiet for a few seconds. The strong body shook for a while, and finally succumbed to the call of death. The four bull legs knelt on the ground weakly, and the head drooped to the side.
A moment later, cheers echoed across the battlefield.
……
Note 1: An's Aurora artillery was equipped with two types of shotgun shells. Each light shotgun shell weighed about 40 grams and had an effective range of 300 meters; each heavy shotgun shell weighed about 110 grams and had an effective range of 500 meters.

Chapter 37 Continued Expansion
[Coordinates confirmed, the zeroth anchor point is being deployed... deployment completed, the anchor point has been embedded in the spirit vein node. ]
[The order domain is expanding, 1%, 2%...99%, 100%, expansion is complete. ]
[The initial city is ready, do you want to launch it immediately? Yes/No]
"no."
[Command confirmed, the delivery process has been frozen. The maximum freezing period for this process is 720 hours.]
Each war book corresponds to a faction, and each faction corresponds to an "anchor point". A faction has only one main anchor point, but can have multiple secondary anchor points. Both the main anchor point and the secondary anchor point must be deployed at the node of the spirit vein network - and Granni Stone Hall happens to be a node.
Anchors have many functions, the most important of which is to develop a field of order with them as the core. Within its influence range, the field of order can permanently purify corruption, suppress or even eliminate the influence of chaos. It should be noted that this effect is not completed immediately, but a gradual process, and there is a possibility of repetition. For example, if the four vendors suddenly distribute countless blessings to this area for free, causing the power of chaos to become extremely active, then the progress of order will regress.
As long as the ordering progress reaches 100%, the [Order] of this area will be permanently solidified and will never be reduced. Even if the Chaos Evil God personally takes action, he will no longer be able to interfere with everything in this area. If the evil god wants to destroy this permanent ordering effect, the only way is to send their minions to forcibly occupy the anchor point with a bunch of debuffs, and then use a lengthy magic ritual to guide the power of the evil god himself to destroy the anchor point.
In parentheses, only a living (or dead) being can perform this task. Chaos Demons, which are not living creatures at all, cannot enter the area where order is permanently solidified. If they force their way in, they will die instantly and their points will be turned into points for the holder of the Holy Book of War.
In addition, the anchor point has many functions. An Jiyue only glanced at the instructions and skipped them. Placing the zeroth anchor point in the Granni Stone Hall was the result of her careful consideration. After all, the Holy Scripture only gave her 24 hours. Although the Holy Scripture did not specify what the consequences would be if the anchor point was not placed after the deadline, it was clear that it would definitely not be a good thing... In short, the Granni Stone Hall was the most suitable place that the girl could find in a short period of time.
Eliminating the group of centaurs brought An Jiyue a total of 1800 points of income, and the centaurs Tauruk alone accounted for a quarter of it. As for the hobgoblins, these little greenskins naturally did not contribute any points, which made An Jiyue very regretful. Although the hobgoblins were either bandits on the Eastern Prairie or second devils with the Chaos Dwarves, these greenskin subspecies born from magic and bioengineering could not really be considered Pan-Chaos.
