"Fighting against Magnus's psionic fragments?"

Tarasin stared at Hades with some confusion.

"No, it's not my clone."

"So, do you have any clues?"

Tarachin shook his head. In the foundry, they were standing next to a huge design drawing, and Tarachin had contributed living metal.

"Well,"

Hades pondered for a moment,

"Since it's not you, then it must be some unknown space undead, possibly an isolated entity, or a space undead infected with the Skinner virus."

"Most of the space overlords that can fight against the fragments of the Primarch are—mad, they have lost too much of their personality or lost very important memories."

Tarasin pointed to his head.

"But since it's you going, I don't think there's any need to remind you. Just remember to take me with you; I want to record it."

Hades gave an "OK" sign.

Two Necromancers from the space who can fight against Primarch fragments... If it's not Talathim, then who could it be?

....................................

After discussing the design of the Resilient, the appointed time arrived, and Hades returned to Mortalian's office.

The two Primarchs seem to be communicating well; at least at first glance, this place doesn't look like it's been destroyed by a storm.

Hades knocked on the door and opened it after receiving an affirmative answer.

He looked at the scene in the room with some surprise.

Karas Typhon arrived at some point and was forcing Ahriman to drink; the two veterans, looking somewhat dejected, drank one glass after another.

On the other side, both Primarchs were in terrible condition. Magnus flickered like a broken projector, while Mortarion turned into a fountain of white mist.

"?"

Hades looked at Mortarian in disbelief, then at Magnus, and then at Karas, who seemed reasonably reliable.

Karas clicked his tongue and spoke, completely disregarding the Primarch.

"During their discussion about psionic energy, neither of them would concede to the other, so they decided to try it out on the spot to verify what they were saying, that's how it is."

"..."

"I remember we were supposed to capture the Magnus fragments today?"

"grown ups!"

Ahriman suddenly stood up—then stumbled. Hades dared not imagine how much that wicked Karas had given Senko.

"I'm sorry we couldn't make it. Perhaps we could—"

Ahriman was pushed back down by Karas, who slowly stood up.

"Sit down and don't apologize to him."

Karas was about to utter some harsh words, but Hades was no pushover. Hades anticipated Karas's actions and, at the very moment Karas was about to make his threats, suddenly shook the Black Domain.

Karas still looked ruthless, but his knees almost buckled.

Now everyone in the room who was drunk and intoxicated sobered up.

【ah! 】

Magnus called out intermittently,

[I can still fight! It was just a small mistake; the psionic energy flow should have been at an angle of three—give me another chance!]

Hades looked around again. Hmm, the atmosphere was actually quite harmonious.

He should perhaps give these psionic masters some private space. After all, these few people present were often annoyed by his Dark Domain. Hades always had a strange feeling that these people were having a venting session.

Don't ask him how he sensed it, because there are Karas here.

Mortalian seemed to have been outmaneuvered by Magnus's wisdom. Hades could see the Primarch's resentment and anger, probably over some psionic issues. The Pale Lord desperately realized that Magnus was right.

"Next time, remember to let us know in advance that you can't come here."

Hades waved his hand.

“I’ll be back in seven hours. If I’m not back, go find Tarashin’s other clone and ask him what happened.”

Before anyone in the room could react, a clear spatial cross-section appeared in front of Hades. Hades had gradually mastered this method of movement, though he was still a little inaccurate.

Hades walked into the cross-section as casually as if turning a corner, without making a sound. The cross-section closed, leaving behind the few who had just been awakened by the dark domain.

Hades first retrieved Tal Rashin, and then used the teleportation again with Tal Rashin.

........................

"Is this Stewart Q05, the planet?"

The wind, the raging wind, tore Hades' voice apart, and the crimson desert stretched endlessly to the horizon.

Hades squinted and looked around, but saw no other creatures within his sight.

"Let me see, I'm not in a hurry to release your Dark Domain."

As he was carrying Tarasin, he said, "Don't alert them yet."

“There are indeed powerful biofield fluctuations on this planet… It’s at three o’clock clockwise.”

“Alright,” Hades began to walk. “By the way, Tarachin, can you identify which two of your kin are these?”

Tarasin fiddled with his scepter, as if manipulating something, and soon the Endless One's metallic face became a dazzling display.

"Oh... I didn't expect it to be those two."

Tarasin said,

"You may need to be careful, Hades, one of Storm King's henchmen, Zandrek, who is notoriously senile, and his guardian Obi-Dragon."

Zandreik?!

Hades thought to himself, "This is an old acquaintance, an extremely famous anomaly among the space necromancers, a lazy immortal who oscillates between madness and lucidity, often spouting witty remarks."

As if confirming Hades's suspicions, the distinctive voice of a space necromancer drifted from afar. The voice was faint, but Hades heard it clearly.

"...My dear guard, this foreign sage has answered you enough. The Ship of Theseus itself is meaningless. I want to go back and eat fresh meat. The desserts my friend provided were very good, but I am not a big fan of desserts—but anyway, thank you for your hospitality."

? ? ? ?

The information is wrong.

This was Hades' first thought, but just as he had spotted the other side, the other side had also spotted him.

Hades saw a library rising from the desert, sunlight shimmering on the library's pyramid-shaped, sloping blue glass, like a dazzling pearl in the desert.

And inside the library, the angry psionic energy was burning fiercely.

It looks like a fight is about to break out.

Hades readily accepted this fact. He didn't believe that all Magnus fragments would be as "harmonious" as the first ones he had encountered. Many Magnus fragments had fallen, and some had become completely violent, which was why the Grey Knights had come to him.

Even though Magnus might seem easy to talk to, Hades wasn't sure what the Primarch thought of Nikia back then. If Magnus harbored hatred about the matter... then he would need to subdue him physically first.

"Tarasin, can you persuade your people to stay in line later?"

Hades asked, "Put Tarasin down. He's not in a hurry to condense the scythe to deal with the Primarch of the psionicists... Hades just needs to prevent the opponent from escaping."

Tarachin's expression, however, was somewhat strange.

"……I try my best."

The Endless One stammered, and Hades frowned, seemingly understanding the unfinished words of Tara-Sin.

“Don’t tell me,” Hades said.

He kept his eyes fixed on the library. It was clear the Primarch had made his cabin very comfortable; in front of the library was a gurgling spring, and plants that relied on this water for survival.

If they hadn't bothered them, this original would probably have been living an extremely wonderful life.

"You have a grudge against Zandreuk—let me think, did you steal from his house?"

"Just a small decoration,"

Taracin retorted, but Hades had already clearly seen the Infinite One pull out its Hyperdimensional Labyrinth.

"It's not exactly a major crime, but the main problem is that this guy is a loyal supporter of the Storm King, and one of the Storm King's generals who is still active on the front lines."

“Even if Zandrek is senile, I don’t think he would make a mistake in this kind of thing.”

"Do you need my help?"

Hades said, and Tarachin nodded, “I have cut off communications on this planet, but I still need your help. I didn’t bring many troops with me this time.”

"Don't resort to force yet."

Hades said, "Let's talk first."

"You're not exuding an aura of peace talks."

Tarachin joked that Hades was now radiating murderous intent, and it was more like the instinctive reaction of a predator encountering its prey, perhaps without even realizing it himself.

Upon hearing this, Hades silently tugged at his cloak. Well, that lessened his murderous aura.

Hades walked over, while Tarasin lay in ambush behind the nearest sand dune.

The library doors opened, and Hades saw a Primarch enraged, Magnus who was larger and looked more formidable than the one he had encountered before.

His single eye gleamed with a thousand different lights, and psionic energy surged through his crimson arm. The Primarch stared silently at Hades as he slowly approached, his face expressionless, though the crackling psionic lightning clearly indicated his stance.

“Magnus, the Crimson King, it’s been a long time.”

Hades said he first opened his arms in a gesture of goodwill, indicating that his hands were empty and he was not carrying any weapons.

Please forgive my unauthorized visit.

Are you going to take me back?

Magnus raised his voice, showing no sign of weakness despite the chills he felt; the Primarch raised his chin.

I will not go back.

He said word by word,

I have no interest in, nor have I contributed to, this vast empire created by the Lord of Humanity. I only wish to freely exercise my will and explore and gather knowledge.

If you want to persuade me to go back—it's impossible, I will never go back.

"well said,"

Before Hades could speak, the old general Xanderek stepped out from behind Magnus and shouted, waving his fist.

“Your father is no good man, my alien friend.”

Behind the old general followed another tall, silent space undead, whom Hades identified as his guardian, Obi-Long.

Things started to get magical, Hades thought.

"The Emperor is indeed a bastard—but Magnus, your position has been exposed."

Hades said calmly,

“If I hadn’t come… even the chaos that has been watching you would have looked down at you.”

【…】

Are you threatening me?

"I'm just stating the facts."

Hades said,

“Crimson King, if you return, I can guarantee that you will not have to work for the Empire. You can do whatever you want. Except for not summoning Chaos, your freedom is unrestricted. You can have a sum of resources to continue your research.”

Magnus in the Empire is currently supported by the Grey Knights, and the Empire does not allocate any special funds to him.

Aside from advising them to lay down their weapons, the Primarch himself taught the Grey Knights a lesson. The Grey Knights were well aware of the situation and tacitly ignored their good red-skinned Primarch.

"Oh, a sinecure with a prestigious title, I like it!"
