In other words, the nominal positions of Li and Wu and the actual responsibilities they bear are exactly the opposite, and they can indeed take this opportunity to make some adjustments.

Indeed, not many people would question Wu Hao's ability in government affairs, so this proposal was also approved by all the committee members, and it would just need to go through the procedures of the Central Executive Committee.

After the new party organization structure was adjusted in a few words, everyone began to discuss another important matter:

Regarding the adjustment of relations between the Chinese Communist Party, the Communist International, and even the Soviet Union.

There is no doubt that when the CCP was at its weakest, the Communist International played a significant role in its establishment and growth, providing a great deal of decisive and highly positive guidance and assistance.

Between its founding in 1919 and 1927, the Communist International made some mistakes, but overall it was beneficial to the CCP and the Chinese revolution.

However, after July 1927, the Communist International's erroneous instructions to the CPC became more and more numerous and bureaucratic, and it went from providing principled guidance to increasingly crude interference in the CPC's internal affairs.

The famous "July Letter" is a typical example.

In this letter, the Communist International believed that China's bourgeoisie and petty bourgeoisie had all betrayed the revolution and demanded that the CCP regard them as enemies and must completely eliminate them;

At the same time, Stalin and the Communist International instructed that China's revolutionary climax would soon arrive and would soon turn into a socialist revolution, and that the CCP must speed up its violence.

Influenced by the theoretical analysis and situation assessment of the Communist International and Stalin, the enlarged meeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in November 1927 concluded that the revolutionary situation had reached a climax and began to engage in putschism, calling for uprisings everywhere.

The consequences...

If the World Revolutionary Party had not sent Comrade Ma Shiwu to help the CCP expose and sort out some things, the CCP would probably have gone further and further down the wrong path, and it is unknown how many sacrifices it would have to make before it woke up.

In contrast to the S.R.P.'s genuine attitude of "I will never directly interfere in your internal affairs even if I plant a nail" (at least it cannot be detected), they could no longer tolerate the Communist International's actions.

"...general calls are not integrated with the practices of other countries, specific arrangements replace principled guidance, and they grossly interfere with our Party's internal affairs, preventing our Party from exercising independence and exercising its initiative and creativity..."

Li Desheng read the manuscript, which was mainly written by Wu Hao and would make the Soviets furious, and ordinary members of the Communist Party and other communist parties shudder with fear:

"...Therefore, our Party should, on the basis of upholding the general principle of independence and self-reliance, accept the guidance and assistance of the Communist International, the Soviet Union, or any other external forces."

After hearing this final conclusion, some people couldn't help but secretly glance at the representative of a certain "external force" and found that the latter was indeed yawning and had no intention of interrupting or objecting.

It is obvious that even if the CCP issued such a resolution, even if the current "investment" is likely to have no returns in the future, the World Revolutionary Party will still not waver in its assistance to the CCP.

It's really majestic...

In summary, the CCP's resolution mainly stated three things:

1. It affirmed the tremendous role played by the Communist International in providing material assistance, spiritual encouragement, and theoretical guidance to the Chinese revolution and the growth of the Chinese Communist Party, while also criticizing the losses caused by its crude interference;

2. Reflecting on the "ultra-left" or "ultra-right" mistakes made by the CCP in the past, it advocates accepting "guidance" rather than "leadership" and, on this basis, engaging in "world revolution";

3. It points out that the revolution and construction of the Communist Party of China must rely closely on the Chinese people and must combine Marxism-Leninism with universal truth and the concrete practice of the Chinese revolution.

There is no doubt that what the CCP said would offend the Communist International and the Soviet Union and even make some people furious, but the CCP still decided to publish it, at least to form a consensus within the party.

In short, four words: seek truth from facts.

Take the slogan "Armed Defense of the Soviet Union" for example. Is it correct?

There is no doubt that from the perspective of promoting the progress of the world communist revolution, this is correct and irrefutable. Even Trotsky must support it!

why?

Because the Soviet Union is currently the largest, and even the only, socialist country in the world. It is the headquarters and rear base of all the Communist Parties in the world. Its survival is of vital importance to the world revolution.

At present, if the Soviet Union collapses, the world communist revolution can be said to have completely failed, and the Communist Parties in other countries will also suffer a fatal blow.

However, let us put aside the question of whether those who made the decision to "arm the Soviet Union" had great power chauvinism and national egoism, and whether they intended to sacrifice the interests of other countries to preserve the interests of the Soviet Union. Let us only ask one question:

All communist parties exist and grow strong thanks to the support of their own people. If you propose "armed defense of the Soviet Union," will the majority of ordinary people recognize and accept your proposal?

They won't accept it. How can you, a Communist Party that relies on the "Bolsheviks" (which means the majority in Russian, which can be said to be the majority of poor people) still survive?

If you, the Soviet Union, had the ability to bring everyone to live in the Soviet Union, and make the Communist parties of various countries completely dependent on the funds and manpower provided by the Soviet Union to carry out revolutions in various countries, that would be fine. The key is that you can't do it!

You can't do it, and yet you still talk about your motherfucking "armed defense of the Soviet Union"?

Therefore, from the perspective of principle and the broader context of world revolution, "armed defense of the Soviet Union" is correct. However, if reality makes it unacceptable, then we can only settle for the next best option:

I can do it, but I can never say it.

In other words, the CCP had to openly and completely abandon the slogan of "armed defense of the Soviet Union" while continuing to carry out the world communist revolution on the basis of the Chinese revolution.

Look familiar?

This is one of the reasons why the concept of "community of shared future for mankind" was so easily accepted by the CCP once it was proposed, and it is also the reason why they easily accepted President Springfield.

It is obvious that compared with "armed defense of the Soviet Union", the slogan "Community of Shared Future for Mankind" is more likely to gain support from the majority of the people, easier to "confuse" some forces, and easier to unite some less reactionary neutral forces.

Solve your own survival crisis first, then talk about other things!

As for whether the Communist International and the Soviet Union would have any objections...

Well, according to the intelligence Comrade Li Lisan sent back, the Communist International has been in trouble recently, and the Soviet Union is busy with the visit of the US President and probably has no time to care about them.

(This is a very embarrassing thing about the Communist International - nominally, it is the superior leadership organization of all communist parties in the world, including the Soviet Communist Party, but it was often attacked by the Soviet Communist Party, especially during the Great Purge)

In short, the CCP's future attitude towards the Communist International and the Soviet Union is: they can guide me, and I accept correct guidance, but they cannot command me, and even erroneous guidance proven by practice must be rejected!

If you force me to drink water, I would rather not accept your help!

It has to be said that after opening up the Central China Channel, occupying Nanchang, and with the strong support of the World Revolutionary Party and the United States, the Communist Party of China became much stronger.

(When I look up information, I always see outrageous statements - they believe that the CCP's failure in the counter-encirclement and suppression campaign was due to the CCP's own mistakes in personnel selection, the blind command of the three-person group, and that it had nothing to do with the Communist International;)

(Opposing "armed defense of the Soviet Union" was "narrow national egoism," and opposing the Comintern's interference in "leadership" was "dispersing the forces of the communist revolution," similar to Zhang Guotao's attempt to "set up a separate central government.")

(Alas, seek truth from facts. These four words are easy to say but hard to do.)

"...Since all comrades have no objections, we will distribute this resolution to all members and alternate members of the Central Committee, and then to the entire Party and the entire army."

There was another round of agreement, and then we moved on to the second topic:

Regarding the name change of the "Chinese Soviet Republic", constitutional amendment and organizational adjustments.

Li Desheng smoothly handed the manuscript to Wu Hao, who began to report:

"...it is suggested that the word 'Soviet' be removed and the name of the country be changed to 'People's Republic of China'...the National Congress of Soviets be renamed the National People's Congress..."

Changing the country's name was certainly not a whim, nor was it done just to establish diplomatic ties with the United States. Instead, it was a trend that had existed for a long time and gradually emerged after UMP45 intervened.

In addition to the fact that the three words "Soviet" are difficult for the general public to understand and even misunderstand, it is also because, as the "left" line of the Communist Party of China was corrected, some things are not only inappropriate, but even wrong.

For example, the Constitution of the Chinese Soviet Republic stipulates:

"Warlords, bureaucrats, landlords, gentry, capitalists, rich peasants, monks, and all other exploiters and counter-revolutionaries have no right to elect representatives to participate in political power or to enjoy political freedom";

"Abolish all the exorbitant taxes and levies imposed during the era of counter-revolutionary rule, levy a uniform progressive tax, and severely suppress all attempts at slowdown and sabotage by Chinese and foreign capitalists";

"No religion shall receive any protection or financial support from the Soviet state; all Soviet citizens shall have freedom of anti-religious propaganda; imperialist churches may exist only if they obey Soviet law";

"Mongolians, Hui, Tibetans, Miao, Li, Koreans, Annanites, and others living within Chinese territory have the full right to self-determination, to join or secede from the Chinese Soviet Federation, or to establish their own autonomous regions. The Soviet regime must also develop their own national culture and language among these nationalities."

Yes, these are undoubtedly extremely "proletarian", but they have too strong a "Soviet flavor". Many clauses are basically copied from Soviet policies and are not suitable for China today:

What about the warlord Feng Yuxiang and the 19th Route Army, who were in contact with the CCP and preparing to jointly resist Japan?

Are patriotic overseas Chinese capitalists like Tan Kah Kee, who are investing heavily in Nanchang and areas controlled by the CCP, going to be killed?

Should the American Mark Company, President Field, and members of the "Church of God's People" who are currently aiding the CCP, and who may be proselytizing in Nanchang, be expelled directly?

Eliminating excessive taxes and levies is certainly a good thing, but how will a "uniform progressive tax" be levied? Will it lead to unfair treatment across different industries and professions?

Religion is indeed foolish and ignorant and should be banned, and Communist Party members are absolutely forbidden from believing in religion. But what about those people who have normal religious beliefs, abide by the law, and firmly support the CCP's policies?

As for the "national self-determination" thing, it's even more ridiculous. There were many ethnic groups in the Soviet Union, but in areas like Nanchang, Wuhan, and Yulin, apart from the Mongolians, who were considered an independent ethnic group, how could there be so many messed-up "ethnic minorities"?

Since you want to carry out a proletarian revolution and believe that all proletarians are oppressed relatives, then you forcibly "create" so many so-called "ethnic minorities" and give them privileges. What is the point?

There is no point in making people who speak Chinese, use Chinese characters and are almost indistinguishable from the Han people into "ethnic minorities". This is useless except for dispersing one's own forces and providing the enemy with a breakthrough.

If you don't mention "national self-determination", everyone will consider themselves Han, no one will worry about their minority identity, and they will unite under the banner of the "Chinese nation" to fight together. If you insist on mentioning it, it will give some people an opportunity to find loopholes.

Just like General Su Yu, who always firmly believed that he was Han during his lifetime, but his widow, in order to obtain special support funds, was instigated by some people and forced the entire family to change their ethnicity to Dong. This is one of the ridiculous cases.

It is unrealistic to copy the Soviet Union's ethnic groups verbatim, or even to copy them for the sake of a face-saving project of "reflecting national unity". In the end, it only caused a lot of trouble for oneself and was of no use at all.

Therefore, many constitutional clauses need to be revised, those that should be deleted should be deleted, those that should be revised should be revised, those that should be changed should be changed, and those that should not be mentioned should not be mentioned.

Of course, revising the Constitution must go through the procedures of the National People's Congress, which is not a quick matter. It can only be proposed by the Central Political Bureau first, and then communicated and revised from top to bottom.

Another more important and urgent matter now is the need to adjust the organizational structure of the Communist Party of China and the government and relevant government departments.

The reason is the same - it is too closely copied from the Soviet Union and is not applicable to the current situation. If it is not changed, it will hinder the efficiency and even operation of the organization.

Normally, something as major as constitutional amendment wouldn't have been possible so quickly, but they had an "enemy" in Northeast China and a good teacher who not only had a comprehensive plan but also stepped into all the necessary pitfalls for them...

In this way, major issues that would determine the future of the CCP and China were raised one by one, discussed and passed, or the disputes were shelved, until something that was neither big nor small came to the table:

"Regarding the treatment of Comrade Ding Ling..."

456? Ding Ling participated in the assassination of the US President?

"...Regarding the treatment of Comrade Ding Ling."

That's right, the matter of a small figure who currently holds no position in the party and is just a member of the "Left League" could have been handled by the Shanghai Municipal Committee, but it was brought to the highest level of the CPC Central Committee for discussion. Of course, there were special reasons for this.

This special reason is not only because of the article "Lu Xun is Dead" which is causing an uproar and continues to influence the literary and art circles and public opinion circles, but also because of a series of outrageous operations that Ding Ling planned to implement afterwards.

After she went to the Northeast without authorization, defined Lu Xun without authorization, and wrote an article that almost ruined the overall situation without authorization, Ding Ling was summoned from Shanghai to Nanchang by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in the name of studying.

Because some special inside information was difficult to disclose, Ding Ling was not publicly criticized. Pan Hannian, as the head of the Shanghai intelligence agency, only gave her a few subtle reminders, but she did not understand or take them seriously.

Therefore, Ding Ling not only did not think she had done anything wrong, but instead believed that as the first party member and literary and art worker to be summoned to Nanchang by the Party Central Committee's personal order, it showed that she was highly valued, so she came happily.

Although the article incident put the CPC Central Committee in a passive position and caused considerable trouble, Wu Hao was a man with a good temper. He received Ding Ling cordially and arranged for her to study in the propaganda department.

Wu Hao originally thought that since Ding Ling had been brought to Nanchang and was under his watch, she would not be able to do anything serious. However, he found that he was still too young. After the Minister of Propaganda Zhang Wentian had a few words with Ding Ling and carefully understood her thoughts, he was frightened and broke out in a cold sweat.

Ding Ling excitedly told him that she would not only continue to write articles criticizing Lu Xun, but also planned to write articles criticizing Japanese Prince Fujiwara Kanezane and American President Field!

Why scold?

Because she felt that Field's speech in the Northeast was too hypocritical;

Why does it feel hypocritical?

Because she felt that the United States hadn't even finished settling its own massacre in China (the Eight-Nation Alliance), so how could it have the nerve to accuse others of massacre?

As for Fujiwara no Kanezane, the leader of the Japanese invaders, there is no need to mention him.

Even if we put aside the incident at the trial that embarrassed her, she still thought that Fujiwara no Kanezane was also very hypocritical, using deceptive means to please the people, practicing money-bagism, and splitting China.

If these two people get together, they will definitely do something even worse! If you don't even scold them, how can you still be a conscientious intellectual? After hearing Ding Ling's plan, Zhang Wentian was completely paralyzed.

Although he was not aware of the internal situation of Fujiwara no Kanezane and the Northeast, Fujiwara no Kanezane's "Three Represents" was something that all members and alternate members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China had to study.

Although he was unhappy about Springfield's good relationship with the Japanese (Five-Star Eastern Republic), he at least knew Springfield's goodwill towards the Chinese Communist Party and knew that nothing was more important than survival.

One is, in a sense, a "theoretical teacher" of the CCP, currently without any bad record, and is even very popular among the Chinese people. The other is an important supporter of the CCP in the future. Are you going to publicly criticize these two?

Even if Zhang Wentian was stupid, there was no way he would agree to this!

However, writers are free to write, and it was difficult for him to directly refute it; so Zhang Wentian could only "appease" Ding Ling while quickly reporting the matter to Wu Hao.

The latter also felt very numb after hearing this.

You really don't have any political sensitivity at all!

It was precisely because Ding Ling fled from the Northeast to Shanghai that Wu Hao recalled her to Nanchang, fearing that she would cause trouble while Ms. Field was in Shanghai. But she actually had a bigger plan!

If she were to publish the article in Nanchang under the name of the CCP or through a CCP newspaper, Ms. Field would definitely lose all her aid, no matter how good-tempered she is!

The relationship between the CCP and the United States is inherently delicate. Some things can be done in secret but cannot be said openly. At that time, would the CCP deal with Ding Ling, or not?

If it is handled in this way, it will damage the prestige of the CCP itself and may be seen as "fawning on the Americans" and "losing sovereignty and humiliating the country";

Not processing...

Haha, you think that the United States is a country of businessmen and that Americans have no regard for face, right?

Wu Hao was now extremely thankful that he had quickly brought this woman back to Nanchang. Otherwise, if he had left her unattended in Shanghai, who knew what kind of earth-shattering awful things she would have done!

Zhang Wentian assigned Ding Ling a lot of tasks such as writing manuscripts and organizing documents. After Ms. Field came to Nanchang, Ding Ling was sent to Ruijin for "inspection and research." Wu Hao quickly brought up this matter at the meeting of the Central Political Bureau.

After listening to the entire report of the incident, everyone was stunned.

The mess Ding Ling had caused earlier could be more or less explained by her ignorance of the realities of Northeast China, her deep patriotism, and her hatred of traitors and running dogs.

But this time, even Ding Ling's mentor, Qu Qiubai, couldn't say a word to defend her "heroic act," because it would definitely seriously damage the interests of the entire Communist Party of China and even the entire China!

(Qu Qiubai's wife Wang Jianhong was Ding Ling's best friend)

"...Comrade Ding Ling's case reflects the serious lack of organization and discipline and romanticism among some of our intellectual comrades."
