"Today is only our second day at Hogwarts and the first day of classes. Where can we find a private place where no one will disturb us to practice dark magic?" Draco looked at her calmly.

Ariana thought this wasn't a problem at all and reminded him, "If a problem arises, find a way to solve it. Hogwarts is so big, do you think it's difficult to find an empty classroom where no one will disturb you? Just tell me, do you want to learn the Dark Arts?"

Draco followed Ariana in a daze to set up a magic club, and quickly chose a name, called "Quick Magic Club".

"This name is really too perfunctory." Draco couldn't help but complain.

"Isn't this exactly what I expected? We want to learn as quickly as possible, so that's why it's called the Quick Magic Club. Now we have a club, a name, and members. Everything is ready, except for a venue." Ariana was very satisfied with the progress.

"I have to remind you of one more thing. Today is only our second day at Hogwarts and the first day of classes. Where can we find a private place where no one will disturb us?" Draco looked at the impetuous Ariana helplessly.

Ariana thought about it carefully and suddenly had an idea: "I met two seniors on the train, and they told me where the kitchen is."

Draco said with disgust, "I guess the two seniors you know must be Hufflepuffs. And what do you mean by the location of the kitchen? Are we going to have our gathering place in the kitchen?"

Ariana could see that Draco discriminated against Hufflepuffs, but she thought it was normal. There was also a lot of discrimination in Muggle society, with the rich discriminating against the poor and the whites discriminating against the blacks.

"Of course the club can't be set up in the kitchen. There are not only a lot of house-elves in there, but I heard that Hufflepuff students often go there for extra meals. How can that place be suitable for a gathering?" Ariana shook her head.

"Then why do you mention the kitchen?" Draco was even more confused.

"Think about it, besides the professors, who else lives in Hogwarts?" Ariana asked.

Draco was smart and immediately realized what was going on. He exclaimed, "You mean to ask the house-elves where there's a private place where we won't be disturbed?"

"Yes, those two seniors not only told me that there are many house-elves in the kitchen, but also talked about some ways to get along with the house-elves. As long as I ask them gratefully, they will definitely provide many suitable places." Ariana nodded.

After dinner, Ariana rejected Draco's suggestion to take a nap and took him to find the kitchen.

The Hufflepuff and Slytherin common rooms were both on the basement floor, as was the kitchen, so Ariana quickly found the painting Cedric mentioned.

She raised her hand and scratched the pear in the painting, and the kitchen door opened.

"Dear sir and madam, my name is Abby. What do you need from the kitchen? We have some freshly made candies. Would you like some?" an elf asked enthusiastically.

Ariana, who doesn't like candy, certainly doesn't need it. She smiled and said, "We just want to know if there's a particularly private place in Hogwarts where we won't be disturbed?"

Abby answered them almost without thinking.

"There are many abandoned classrooms in Hogwarts that are generally not visited by anyone. However, if you want to talk about a particularly private place, it has to be the Room of Requirement on the 8th floor."

Chapter 12: Room of Requests

20 minutes later, Ariana brought Draco to the 8th floor. Ariana usually had fencing lessons and her physical fitness was pretty good, but Draco was out of breath.

"I think you should learn fencing. We climbed the stairs together, and my breathing was so steady, but your face was red and your neck was thick. It's obvious that you lack exercise." Ariana teased.

It was absolutely impossible to get Draco to admit that he was weaker than a girl.

"I fly my broomstick at home every day, so I definitely get enough exercise," Draco retorted.

Ariana disagreed with this and continued to tease him, "Then why are you still so weak? And you sit on a broomstick. Even if you play for a long time, you won't get enough exercise."

It was an obvious fact that Draco was outdone by Ariana, so he could only change the subject.

"Let's not talk about this anymore and find the Room of Requirement quickly," Draco urged.

According to Abby, the Room of Requirement is hidden behind a painting of a troll.

After a quick stroll down the corridor, the two found the painting, but it wasn't a painting of a troll. Instead, it was a painting of Sir Banobos Bilge trying to teach a troll how to dance ballet, only to be crushed to death by his feet.

The giant in the painting has a confused and fierce expression, as if he will jump out of the painting at any time.

Looking at the painting, Ariana, who was a novice in magic, could only ask Draco, who was half-baked.

"Abby said to concentrate on thinking of a room, and then walk down this hallway three times to open the room we want. What room do you think we should open?"

Draco was unsure, so he suggested, "Since we want to practice the Dark Arts, why not open a room suitable for practicing the Dark Arts? It would be best if there were a lot of Dark Arts books in the room, so that we can choose which Dark Arts to learn."

It was a good suggestion, and then Ariana asked, "You or me?"

Before Draco could answer, Ariana thought for a moment and then said to Draco, "You are better than me at understanding magic. You open it."

Draco was very curious and liked to be the leader, so he was eager to try it. When he heard Ariana say that, he immediately did what Abby said.

Just as Abby described, after she made up her mind and walked around three times, a door appeared on the wall. Ariana and Draco immediately pushed the door open and walked in.

The entrance to the room was a black oak door carved with runes, and behind the door was a dark space with an unreachable ceiling and walls made of cold black stone.

There are complex magic circles carved on the floor, as if some mysterious power will be activated at any time.

Tall bookshelves surrounded the room, filled with ancient magical books of all kinds, their covers engraved with mysterious symbols and runes.

At the deepest part of the bookshelf, the books emit a faint red light, as if warning readers of their danger.

Ariana subconsciously wanted to walk towards the glowing bookshelf, but before she took two steps, her arm was grabbed by Draco.

"My father said that some books on dark magic are particularly dangerous. We should stay away from those that glow," Draco warned.

Ariana nodded: "These magic books should be from the entrance to the depths, from simple to difficult. Let's look at the entrance first."

To be safe, the two did not separate but read the same book together.

After picking up a random book and opening it, Draco exclaimed, "I've read this book before. It's full of mischievous magic, like maces, sticky ointment, and so on."

There were no other wizards around, so Ariana could only look at him in confusion and ask, "Are these also considered dark magic?"

"I think so. I watched it secretly from the basement of my house. My dad doesn't let me go there." Draco didn't know either.

Hearing Draco's uncertain tone, Ariana didn't dare to take any risks. After looking at a spell, she frowned and asked, "Now there's another problem. We can't test the spell on each other, right?"

This is black magic, as stated in the opening chapter of the book. If you are injured by black magic, it will be extremely difficult to treat and you will only have one life left.

As Ariana finished her words, two cages appeared in the middle of the room, each containing a large spider.

"They're letting us practice on the spiders. They really do what we ask for, whatever we want comes true." Ariana laughed. "Let's practice quickly. There's obviously one spider for each of us."

The two walked up to the cage, and Draco, who had some knowledge of magic, asked in confusion, "This doesn't seem to be an ordinary spider, but an eight-eyed giant bead. It doesn't look fake. Where did it come from?"

Ariana had no idea, so she waved her hand and urged, "No matter where he came from, let's practice quickly. Time is running out."

Ariana's talent for black magic is also very strong. Just like in class, she can basically succeed in one try, regardless of whether the technique is correct or not.

At first, Ariana taught Draco patiently, but after a few times, Draco still couldn't learn, so she lost her patience.

After all, she was a friend she recognized, so Ariana didn't want to say anything too harsh.

So she said tactfully, "I don't know when I'm going to drop out, so I'll learn as much as I can. You're different from me, you still have seven years to stay in Hogwarts. You can come to this room anytime, so you can slowly explore it in the future, okay?"

Ariana has already learned all the spells in this book of pranks, but Draco hasn't even learned the first spell. With such a speed gap, how could he dare to let Ariana wait for him?

"Okay, I'll learn it slowly on my own."

After continuing to study, Ariana felt that this Room of Requirement was simply a paradise for magic. It not only provided professional magic books, but also various materials for magic experiments.

Ariana was so engrossed in studying that she had no idea how time passed. Fortunately, Draco was studying very hard, and there was a "genie" learning next to her. His self-confidence suffered a huge blow, and he felt that the days were passing by like years, and he would check the time every once in a while.

At 2 o'clock, he urged Ariana to go out.

"Class starts in half an hour. We need to go back to Slytherin to get our textbooks. Let's go and come back tomorrow," said Draco.

Although Ariana was reluctant, she followed Draco out of the Room of Requirement, but she continued to mutter, "I'm going to drop out anyway, so it's okay if I don't go to class, right?"

"You argued with Professor Snape before, and you were the one who was right, so he didn't deduct points from you or put you in detention. If you skipped classes, he could punish you with good reason, and then you would be restricted everywhere and you wouldn't be able to come here." Draco reminded her.

"Okay, you're right, we'll come back in the afternoon." Ariana didn't pay any attention to what Draco said just now about coming back tomorrow.

"Can I bring Goyle and Crabbe with me?"

Draco didn't bother to correct Ariana, he just asked if he could lead someone. If he led two idiots to study together, his self-confidence would definitely be restored.

Ariana didn't object, but simply asked, "Are they the members you want to recruit?"

Draco thought about it, shook his head, and suggested: "They are too stupid, and don't seem suitable for our magic club. How about inviting Nott?"

There were only nine new Slytherin students. Ariana of course knew Theodore Nott, but she was a little curious about Draco's choice.

"Why didn't you invite Blaise? The reason he spoke to me during the sorting yesterday was because he saw you talking to me. Shouldn't you two have a good relationship?" Ariana analyzed.

After hearing how Ariana and Blaise met, Draco said unhappily, "I guess that's it. Blaise competes with me in everything, even with a new friend he met. I will definitely not invite him to join my club."

Ariana didn't care about the club members' choices, so she smiled and said, "I respect your opinion. After all, I don't know how long I can stay at Hogwarts, so you should be the president, so that I don't have to hand over the work after I leave."

"No problem. I won't come with you this afternoon. I have to ask Nott about this." Draco answered her.

When Ariana heard that there were no friends together, she immediately raised her objection.

"You'd better come with me. I'm afraid that if I open the door according to my will, it won't be the same room as before. And when it comes to recruiting members, it's best to attract others to join us rather than recruiting them. Besides, if you want to become the president, you should at least have some ability to control others."

What this means is that Draco, the president, has no ability at all. If a new member joins and turns out to be more capable than Draco, he will lose face.

Draco, who was very concerned about his reputation, was once again persuaded by Ariana and decided not to recruit new members until he had learned half of the magic in the room.

If someone as talented as Ariana joins and doesn't drop out of school like her, he will definitely lose his position as president.

Therefore, for a long time in the future, this magic crash course club will only have the two of them.

The first-grade course schedule was quite limited, but with the secret base, Ariana's time immediately became more fulfilling, and she learned more and more magic.

In the blink of an eye, it was time for Snape's Potions class, and Ariana suddenly realized that a week had passed. Then she discovered something serious, that is, Professor McGonagall had never come to talk to her.

Chapter 13 Otherwise Wait

Potions class is in the morning, and after class, the course for this week is completely over.

Ariana planned to go find Professor McGonagall after lunch, but she was still very curious why Professor McGonagall didn't come to talk to her.

Not only are Ariana and Draco both Slytherins, they also share a secret base, and the two have been inseparable this week.

Having doubts in her mind, Ariana naturally asked her good friends around her first.

"Do you think Professor McGonagall deliberately forgot about this? When we last talked, I could clearly feel that she didn't want me to drop out." Ariana asked Draco puzzledly.

How could Draco possibly know such a question, but after spending a week together, he was even more reluctant to let Ariana leave Hogwarts.

"Neither of the two requests you made are easy to resolve. Professor McGonagall will probably have to discuss it with Dumbledore for several weeks." He gave a perfunctory and reasonable explanation.

"Since it's not easy to solve, why don't you just agree to let me drop out of school?" Ariana asked back.

"Don't you see how many points you've added to Slytherin this week? Not only is Professor McGonagall, as the Vice-Headmistress, reluctant to part with you, I think Professor Snape also regrets arguing with you before." Draco looked at his new friend speechlessly.

This week, Ariana stole the show in class, getting 5 points from the professor in every class, even though she was not very active.

In his opinion, Ariana was much more capable than Granger, that annoying show-off.

"You can't just ignore my application and pretend nothing happened, right?" Ariana frowned and looked at him.

It was just a perfunctory excuse he had come up with before, but after saying it, Draco felt that it seemed to be true.

"Didn't I tell you? They're probably still discussing it." Draco answered her slowly.

Ariana had already made up her mind to drop out of school, so how could she be ignored by Professor McGonagall? Besides, this also involved her face issue.

"I don't have classes this afternoon. I need to ask Professor McGonagall if I can drop out. There has to be a result." Ariana said in a firm tone.

"I see that you are studying the Dark Arts very hard in the Room of Requirement. There are still many things you haven't learned. Why don't you wait a little longer?" Draco tried to persuade her.

Ariana rolled her eyes at Draco and said, "I don't mean to drop out of school next week. According to my best plan, I won't be coming after Christmas break."

"Starting this weekend, I won't practice magic. I'll read books instead. I'll first write down all the books in the Room of Requirement. When I get home, I'll make a room similar to this one for myself and practice slowly then." Ariana thought this arrangement was very good.

They start school in September and Christmas is in December, which means Ariana only plans to stay in Hogwarts for three months.

"You plan to finish reading a whole room of books before Christmas? Is that possible? Otherwise, wait until the end of this school year." Draco gave her a suggestion.

Ariana looked at Draco in confusion. This was the second time he had suggested that she should not drop out of school.

"Are you reluctant to let me leave?" Ariana raised the corners of her mouth slightly, with a teasing look in her eyes.

Draco really couldn't bear to let her go. He felt that Ariana was not only smart and talented in magic, but also that they got along well.

He knew all the freshmen this year, and none of them could compare to Ariana.

But admitting it directly wasn't his style, so he replied stubbornly, "Didn't we agree to test whether Potter's reputation as the savior is worthy of it? I haven't challenged him to a duel yet."

This was a very good reason, and Draco silently gave himself a thumbs up in his heart.

"I see you've been provoking him for a whole week. I guess if you challenge him to a duel next week, he'll probably agree. I'm leaving at Christmas, so I'll have time to confirm whether he's worthy of his name," Ariana said in a relaxed tone.

Draco opened his mouth but couldn't find any other reason for a long time. Ariana laughed at this.

"Just say you can't bear to leave me. There's nothing to be embarrassed about." Ariana looked at Draco with certainty.

"Well, I am a little reluctant to leave you. I have known all the Slytherin freshmen this year before, and none of them get along with me." Draco sighed and had to admit it.
