Hermione was speechless after being silenced by Ariana.
If she had a conflict with her classmates in the Muggle world, asking her parents to come might make her feel embarrassed, but she would never refuse her parents from coming to school.
When Hermione asked her on the fourth floor why she wasn't angry about the term "Mudblood", Ariana didn't answer at the time, but she could answer now.
"Although I only realized I was a pure-blood wizard after arriving at Hogwarts, I had always lived in a Muggle community before, and all my relatives and friends were Muggles. Aren't you surprised that I didn't feel angry when I heard Draco say 'Mudblood'?" She guided Hermione to think.
"Yeah, why aren't you angry?"
Hermione looked at Ariana timidly. She felt that the next answer would not be what she wanted to hear.
Ariana smiled and said calmly, "That's because I haven't been assimilated by the environment. Even though 'Mudblood' sounds bad, I don't think my friends and family are inferior. I don't put myself in that situation, so I'm not angry."
Hermione understood. Ariana was saying that she was influenced by her environment and subconsciously thought that she was a mudblood and inferior, so her reaction was so violent.
She wanted to retort, but the words could not come out because she had already realized the problem. She had only been in Hogwarts for more than a week and she was indeed affected by the environment.
Apart from the "Mudblood" feud, Ariana did not forget that it was Hermione who took the initiative to find her that day.
"You came to stop me and Draco that day, was it because you saw that I was doing well in the exclusive Slytherin family, while you were having a hard time in the enthusiastic Gryffindor family?"
She was embarrassed to ask Ariana this question in front of Draco that day, but things had come to this point and she had nothing to be embarrassed about.
"Yes, I wanted to ask you how you did it?" Hermione confessed.
Ariana didn't answer, but brought up the first time they met.
"I told you back in Diagon Alley that if you don't change your attitude, you won't be able to have any friends in a new environment." Ariana helped Hermione recall.
Hermione immediately retorted, "I've changed. I'm not so sharp in my words and I'm eager to help my classmates."
Ariana didn't give him the slightest bit of face and directly mocked him, "But in our opinion, you are a nuisance who likes to show off and meddle in other people's affairs. If you don't believe me, ask the two Weasleys if they think so too."
The Weasley brothers had already heard that it was Hermione's fault from the beginning to the end, and Ariana and Draco were just reacting based on the situation at the time.
"Hey, why are you involving us? This is a problem between you two." They didn't want to get involved in the feud between these first-grade kids.
Ariana immediately refuted them: "Then you are just meddling in other people's business and fighting with us for her."
Seeing that they were about to argue again, Hermione hurriedly looked at Ariana and said, "I'm sorry, Colin. I hope my sincere apology can reconcile you two. After all, asking the parents to come is not a good thing."
Ariana did not accept the apology, and her reasons were very strong.
"But I don't want to reconcile, because that means we have to accept punishment, but from the beginning to the end, Draco and I did nothing wrong." After saying that, he pulled Draco away.
After they walked away, Draco cautiously asked Ariana, "Why didn't you threaten them just now? You should have told them that if they dared to tell anyone about the Room of Requirement, we would also tell them that they had the Marauder's Map."
Although the Marauder's Map is disgusting, the Room of Requirement is extremely important to them and must not be exposed easily.
Chapter 26: Pretty much a villain
Ariana smiled slightly and said to Draco, "I already threatened you."
Draco thought carefully about all the steps that had just happened and didn't hear any threatening words. He couldn't help but wonder if there was something wrong with his ears.
"I didn't hear it." He looked at Ariana with a puzzled look.
Seeing that Draco hadn't reacted yet, Ariana reminded him, "Didn't I say that their possession of this map violated everyone's privacy, and they also accused the map of being stolen from Filch's office."
"And then?" Draco heard this.
Seeing that Draco still didn't understand, Ariana could only put it more bluntly.
"Are you stupid? Think about it from their perspective. If they go to Dumbledore and report us for entering the Room of Requirement, will we report that they have the Marauder's Map and are stealing things?"
"Do you think their problem is more serious, or our problem is more serious? Now they need our help." Ariana has directly pointed out the ultimate goal.
Draco suddenly understood and nodded, saying, "I see. You didn't say it directly, but you have actually threatened me."
Ariana was very proud and taught Draco a trick.
"Isn't this a smart move? They won't tell anyone about our visit to the Room of Requirement, and we can still occupy the moral high ground and easily control them."
When Draco heard Ariana say this, he began to fantasize more and more.
"That's right. It seems that if I quarrel with Potter again in the future, I will use this matter to threaten him." There was a hint of anticipation on his face.
Ariana was a little skeptical about this. She asked uncertainly, "Potter is the savior. The Weasley brothers don't have that much respect in his eyes, right?"
Draco was still brooding over the conflict he had with Harry on the train. He had tried to make friends with Harry with good intentions, but in the end he was humiliated.
"You said he was the savior, shouldn't he save the Weasley brothers?" he sneered unhappily.
Ariana looked Draco up and down. His originally handsome facial features were instantly ruined by his mean expression, which ruined his aura as a rich and noble young man.
"You look quite like a villain like this," Ariana commented with amusement.
Draco choked at Ariana's words, even though he hadn't spoken a word during the confrontation with the Weasley brothers.
But he remembered every word Ariana said.
So he put away his harsh expression and asked her sheepishly, "By the way, are you upset that I said the word 'mudblood'?"
It is true that I am very unhappy, but I won't show this feeling on the surface and create a rift between him and me.
And so many things happened in the past few days that Ariana no longer remembers how she felt at that time.
"Compared to asking parents, this seems insignificant," she said lightly.
Of course Draco could see that Ariana was still struggling with the issue of asking her parents, but he was only 11 years old after all, and although he wanted to help, he was really powerless.
"Why don't you just agree to reconcile with the Weasley brothers? That way you don't have to call the parents and you don't have to be so unhappy." He suggested tentatively.
If that was the case, then all her arguments with the professor and her ridicule of Hermione just now seemed meaningless.
"After reconciliation, we have to accept punishment. We are Slytherin and are under the jurisdiction of Professor Snape. I heard that he punishes students by making them deal with disgusting potion materials. Do you want to go?" Ariana asked him back.
Although Draco didn't know why his father, who loved beauty, became good friends with Snape, who had a bad image, and even made Snape his godfather.
But the Godfather is the Godfather, and he has no choice but to learn no matter how he is taught.
"Actually, I've been asked by my godfather to deal with those disgusting potion materials many times before. It's okay once I get used to it." Draco said lightly.
Ariana looked at him with pity when she heard that. It seemed that the child had become stupid due to oppression. He could actually get used to the disgusting potion ingredients.
Draco is proud. He can accept Ariana's complaints about him, even calling him a coward, but he absolutely cannot accept being pitied by Ariana.
So he changed the subject and said, "Don't think about these unhappy things, think about the flying lesson on Thursday."
In the past two days, Draco has been talking about his flying skills in the lounge and even boasted about almost crashing a plane, which shows how much he loves this sport.
Although Ariana is not very experienced in social skills, she also knows that in order to avoid ruining the friendship, it is best not to comment on her friend's hobbies and can only turn a blind eye to his arrogant behavior.
Hearing Draco picking up the broom again, she could only helplessly remind him: "I told you that this is something that will make you happy, not mine."
Draco didn't accept her perfunctory reaction and said confidently, "We get along so well, we must have the same hobbies. You will definitely be happy too, believe me."
Even before the flying class started, Ariana was surprised by the changes in the magic defense class on Monday.
I don't know what Dumbledore talked about with Professor Quirrell, but after just one weekend, his stuttering was gone.
After returning to normal, Quirrell not only talked freely, but also demonstrated spells to the young wizards very skillfully. Even Draco felt that Professor Quirrell was a little abnormal.
"Are you saying that Professor Quirrell doesn't want to teach us? Why did his stuttering return after Dumbledore spoke to him?"
Perhaps the impression of Quirrell's cowardice was too deep. Even after he returned to normal and used magic very skillfully, Draco still looked down on him, and he said this in a not-so-soft voice.
This class was with Gryffindor. The classroom was not very big and the voices were quite loud, so naturally many people heard it.
Draco has a bad reputation in Hogwarts, and most young wizards don't dare to offend him.
But he and Ariana had just had a fight with the Weasley twins, and Ron Weasley was not included in the list of ordinary little wizards.
Chapter 27 Tom Riddle
Hearing Draco say this about the professor, Ron seemed to have found an advantage and yelled at Draco loudly.
"Professor Quirrell is not like that. It was you who went to Dumbledore because you wanted him to leave Hogwarts because of his stuttering. Harry and I both cried when we saw him in the bathroom." Ron looked angry.
Although Harry felt that it was not nice for Ron to blame Draco in class, Draco was his friend after all, so he stood up and spoke for him.
"The professor was cursed, so he stutters. Why can't you be a little more tolerant and give him more time? It's only been a week since school started." Harry's tone was not as strong as Ron's.
Ron became even bolder when he saw Harry speaking up for him.
"Slytherin is so annoying. He's always scheming and plotting. A few days ago, he even had a fight with George and Fred, causing them to have their parents called in." He looked at Draco and Ariana with resentment.
Of course, Draco was not willing to be outdone. He didn't look at the poor Ron, but pointed directly at Harry.
"Potter, do you think that because everyone says you are the savior, you can control everyone's private affairs?" This was what he hated most about Harry.
Pansy really wanted to stick with Draco, but because he was always with Ariana, she never had the chance.
Seeing that Ariana didn't speak, Pansy spoke for Draco: "That's right, you are Gryffindors and you have no right to control Slytherins."
Ariana didn't speak because she was thinking about the exorcism spell that Professor Quirrell had just taught her.
By the time they reacted, people from both academies were about to pull out their wands and start a brawl.
Professor Quirrell, who was standing on the podium, did not come down to stop them. Instead, he said earnestly, "Students, stop arguing. My curse is almost healed. It has nothing to do with Colin and Malfoy."
Ron didn't accept this explanation. He retorted, "But we heard you crying in the bathroom that day, saying you would die if you left Hogwarts. Is it because the school has the effect of suppressing the curse?"
Professor Quirrell still shook his head and denied it. "No, I'm just sad about something else. Don't think too much about it."
Ron didn't accept this explanation.
"They are the ones who went to Dumbledore. We all know that Colin not only has a problem with you, but he also has a problem with Snape."
"It's just that Snape is the head of Slytherin, and Dumbledore has no way of getting him to leave Hogwarts." The more Ron thought about it, the more he felt that this was the case.
Many Gryffindors also stood up to support Ron and blamed Ariana.
"Colin is really too much. He is dissatisfied with all the professors."
"I heard that Professor McGonagall was kind enough to take her to Diagon Alley to buy something, but she treated him very badly."
"Professor Snape is her head of house, and he had a fight in the Potions classroom."
"And now it's targeting Professor Quirrell."
Ariana was so angry that she kicked the table away. There was a loud bang, which made the classroom quiet instantly. Then she stood on her stool.
"Are you done? If you really don't agree, stand up and we'll talk with our wands." She said as she took out her wand.
Ron looked at Ariana in disbelief and asked mockingly, "You want to fight more than 20 Gryffindors alone?"
Now that the feud between the two houses was involved, all the Slytherin students gathered around Ariana and Draco.
Blaise sneered at Ron and retorted, "Who said Colin is just one person? There are nine of us in Slytherin."
Ron was obviously a weakling. In fact, when he saw Ariana take out her wand, he immediately thought of her duel with Snape in the Potions classroom.
He wanted to step back, but the classmates behind him didn't allow him to.
"Ron, teach Colin a lesson. She's really too arrogant."
Only Hermione advised: "Ron, we are still in class, don't be impulsive."
Unfortunately, Hermione was still in the stage of being disliked, so no one listened to her.
In fact, the people from Gryffindor who assisted Ron in causing trouble for Ariana were just speaking harsh words.
But Ariana's execution has always been very fast.
Before the Gryffindors could draw their wands, she had already cast a Binding Charm at Ron, who was screaming the loudest.
"What are you doing?" Harry looked at Ariana angrily.
Even Professor Ariana was not afraid, let alone this very thin savior.
"You want to fight me? Come on all of you," she roared.
Although Ariana criticized Harry, she was still concerned about his reputation as a savior and was afraid that he was really just pretending to be a pig and eating the tiger.
The second person Ariana cast a spell on was Harry. Unlike the binding spell she cast on Ron, this time she used a disarming spell.
Ariana didn't know that Harry's magic would only be effective against the Dark Lord, and she was not Tom Riddle, so the Disarming Charm took effect immediately.
Although Harry has no strength, the title of savior is still very useful. After he lost his wand, the other Gryffindors immediately united together.
This was only the second week of school, and it was Monday. The school had only taught the Illumination Charm and the Banishing Charm that Quirrell had just taught them. The students had only just finished demonstrating it, and they hadn't practiced it yet.
Against Ariana, Gryffindor's fighting power was almost zero.
