Zhu Moye was a modern man and had little exposure to religion, thinking it was dispensable. However, he had seen people being forced to believe in religion, and what Buddhism was doing now was simply outrageous.

At this time, outside the imperial city, Guanyin, Samantabhadra, Manjusri, and Ksitigarbha were each standing in a corner. Below them was a large formation that enveloped the entire imperial city.

The entire imperial city was shrouded in a thick fog, with Buddha's light flickering inside, making it look very sacred, as if it were a pure land.

Ksitigarbha's realm and magical powers have been restored by the Sage Dipankara, and he is once again ranked among the Four Great Bodhisattvas.

Looking at the imperial city below, the four of them glanced at each other from time to time, but they all seemed a little hesitant and did not speak.

"Sister Guanyin, what do you think we are doing? Is it right or wrong?" asked Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, his eyes full of compassion, and when he looked down, he was full of guilt and sadness.

Guanyin Bodhisattva closed her eyes, only opening them occasionally, but her gaze never looked towards the imperial city below. The other three could see the reluctance in her eyes.

"But this is the decree of the Buddha himself!" said Guanyin, shaking her head slightly as she spoke, even she did not agree with it.

"Manjusri, Samantabhadra, what did you two say to the Buddha that made him take Zhu Moye so seriously? The Buddha is a compassionate person. He wouldn't go to war and transform the entire imperial city into a Buddha land and transform all the citizens into Buddha spirits just for an enemy who killed his disciples, right?"

Buddha spirits, a type of spiritual body in Buddhism, are transformed into by the most devout Buddhists after death. Although Buddha spirits cannot cultivate Buddhahood, they exist eternally in the universe as spiritual bodies, neither born nor destroyed.

As long as Buddhism is immortal, the Buddha spirit will not die. The Buddha spirit will bless the world and the fortune of Buddhism. The more Buddha spirits there are, the more prosperous Buddhism will naturally be.

“But how can the Buddha spirit evolved in this way be a real Buddha spirit. I am Guanyin, and I have seen all the injustices in the world, but how can I bear to sit back and watch these mortals die and live?” Guanyin said, and two tears actually flowed from her eyes.

The four great Bodhisattvas all shook their heads slightly, their hearts filled with sorrow. They were Bodhisattvas, but now they were doing the deeds of demons.

Because human nature is free, no one can dominate the thoughts of others, not even the gods and Buddhas in the sky.

Changing someone else's thoughts and souls without authorization is for their own good, so how can it be considered a just act? Perhaps many of these people wish to become Buddha spirits after death, but now, imposing their will on them is murder.

"There is a wild aura on Zhu Moye!" Manjusri and Samantabhadra looked at each other, and both saw the look of pity in each other's eyes. Despite the Buddha's repeated requests, the two still told the secret.

The two of them did have an extreme hatred for the blasphemer Zhu Moye, but just to find him, they caused such a commotion and buried so many people with him. Even as Bodhisattvas, they could not bear the consequences of that.

"The aura of the wilderness?" Guanyin was shocked. In an instant, she understood, because the aura of the wilderness was so important.

No matter what the Savage Aura attaches to, it can be refined into Savage Aura. Savage Aura even existed before the Primordial Aura. The reason why Patriarch Hongjun achieved his current status was because he was originally a Savage Ancient.

The six saints, the Buddha, the Jade Emperor, etc., although they have lived for countless years, are not barbarians. The six saints have stolen most of the secrets of heaven by becoming saints, making it impossible for the subsequent immortals and Buddhas to become saints.

But nothing is absolute. The wild energy is something that can change one's fate and make one a saint. That's why the Buddha cares so much about it. And with the help of these Buddha spirits, the Buddha can definitely become a saint in one fell swoop.

Manjusri and Samantabhadra noticed Guanyin's astonishment and nodded at her, saying, "Guanyin, do you know that from now on, the secrets of heaven will be obscured and our Buddhism will face great disaster?"

Guanyin nodded. She had great magical powers and had already had a premonition.

"Sage Dipankara, Sage Cundi, Nuwa, Yuanshi Tianzun, Laozi of Heaven, and Master Tongtian, our Buddhism is at a complete disadvantage. The Buddha wants to become a saint, and he also has the intention of these two saints..."

"But" Guanyin still shook her head.

"The Buddha Spirit Formation can deceive the heavens, deceive the earth, deceive the three realms, and deceive the saints, but can it deceive oneself?" Guanyin murmured, and her body suddenly descended and rushed into the Buddha Spirit.

"Guanyin, what are you going to do?" Manjushri asked in surprise.

"Don't do to others what you don't want done to you! The war between the three realms is inevitable. Some people are destined to fall. Let me be the one who falls!"

Chapter 775 Zhu Moye surrenders

"Guanyin," the three Bodhisattvas shouted loudly, but they watched Guanyin enter the Buddha's spiritual formation.

"What should we do?" Dizang asked. He also felt an immense hatred for Zhu Moye for forcing him to retreat in his Taoism and fall in realm.

But as he resumed his cultivation, gradually experiencing the hardships of rebuilding and savoring the feeling, Dizang discovered that he no longer hated Zhu Moye. This was his fate. Too much success, too much talent, had fostered too much arrogance in him. Even if Zhu Moye hadn't appeared, someone else would have, and he would have failed just the same, falling back into a lower realm.

During his retreat, he heard the voices of encircling Zhu Moye, but he just laughed it off. Or he heard that the Three Realms were about to undergo a change, and as a Buddhist, he had to come out to win fortune for Buddhism, so he came out and participated in this battle.

Dizang no longer had the deep hatred he had in the past for Zhu Moye. He was just an ordinary enemy. The reason they were fighting against each other was not because of personal grudges, but because of their respective positions.

During the period when Dizang's realm fell, he realized many things. No one is absolutely good, nor is anyone absolutely evil. The reason they are labeled is simply because everyone has different perspectives.

Therefore, Zhu Moye, who has great luck, is not good for Buddhism, so Dizang wants to capture Zhu Moye. If he can convert Zhu Moye, Dizang will also welcome him very much, and they can even sit down and discuss Buddhism together.

"Well, the Buddha said if I don't go to hell, who will? I made a great vow to guard hell and not attain Buddhahood until it is empty. Now that Buddhism is in trouble, it is time for me to enter hell and save the evil demons. Two Bodhisattvas, I will enter too."

Dizang said, and his body flew towards the Buddha spirit formation below.

The Bodhisattvas Manjushri and Samantabhadra each called out "Amitabha", sighed, and flew downwards together.

From then on, the four Bodhisattvas flew into the Buddha Spirit Formation controlled by the four Bodhisattvas.

Zhu Moye sensed a change in the Imperial City the moment Guanyin flew in. He looked up and saw a golden light emanate from the Imperial City. Then, to his surprise, three more golden lights followed.

Zhu Moye quickly hid himself. Although he didn't know who came from these four golden lights, it was obvious that they must have a great relationship with him. Maybe they came down to capture him.

Guanyin landed in the Imperial City and looked back to see that her three fellow Daoists had also flown in. She, Dizang, Manjusri, and Samantabhadra nodded and said, "Since everyone's here, let's capture Zhu Moye first and then dismantle this formation, shall we?"

Just as Guanyin was speaking, three Buddha spirits flew out from a house not far away, glanced at the light attached to the formation, and then merged into it.

"Amitabha!" The four of them chanted the Buddha's name at the same time.

The four of them saw clearly that among the three Buddha spirits, one was just a child of about eight years old. He had never experienced anything and had never seen anything, yet he became a Buddha spirit just like that.

As bodhisattvas, the four of them felt even clearer than Zhu Moye. When the three of them took off, at the very beginning, the resentment in them was about to soar to the sky, but it was blocked by the Buddha Spirit Formation and then completely dissipated.

This is the power of the Buddha Spirit Array. It can defy heaven and earth and erase people's resentment without being detected by heaven and earth.

In Buddhism, the Buddha Spirit Array is a taboo, as it is derived from the Blood Demon Array of a great demon. Back then, the Blood Demon roamed the three realms, devouring heaven and earth, absorbing the essence and blood of humans, immortals, and Buddhas, refining it within his own body, making him exceptionally powerful.

It was the Buddha Dipankara who subdued the Blood Demon and liberated the blood, energy, and souls he had collected. The Blood Demon's formation was filled with refined souls, unable to ascend to heaven or die in the underworld. They were refined by the Blood Demon for the sole purpose of wreaking havoc on the Three Realms.

The Buddha Lord Dipankara was extremely gifted and modified the Blood Demon Formation into the Buddha Spirit Formation, transforming these immortal souls into Buddha Spirits and saving them.

Later, a disciple who had defected from Buddhism used the Buddha Spirit Formation and discovered that the Buddha Spirit still retained the ability to refine humans, but would only refine human souls into Buddha Spirits. This ability was too unnatural and too dangerous, and thus, the Buddha Spirit Formation was tabooed from that time on.

I never thought it would be used now to deal with the current catastrophe of the Three Realms. Once the Buddha Spirit Formation is released, who knows how many more people in this world will have their souls and bodies destroyed.

Once the Buddha Spirit Formation is opened, it can only end after the great wish is fulfilled. This is why the four Bodhisattvas would rather fly in at the risk of their own death.

They must capture Zhu Moye, otherwise, the fate that awaits these citizens is that they will all be refined.

"Please wait a moment, the three of you, I will convey the message!" said Guanyin.

"Zhu Moye, please come out. We know you are inside this formation. This formation is called the Buddha Spirit Formation, and it will not stop until you find your true identity. I'm sure you've seen the tragedy that's unfolding in the Imperial City. If you don't want this tragedy to continue, please come out and see us."

"This isn't a threat, but a request. Once the Buddha Spirit Formation is deployed, there's no way for us to remove it. You'll have to step out. I, Guanyin, swear by my name as a Bodhisattva that we won't take action and will not allow you to leave."

Zhu Moye heard the voice of Guanyin and realized that this was the famous Buddhist spirit formation. It was once a taboo, but it was indeed powerful.

"Donor Zhu, I am Ksitigarbha. The last time I met you, I was alert and finally realized that it was not you who was making things difficult for me, but that I was indeed lacking in cultivation. This time, we, the Four Great Bodhisattvas, have come to meet you. Please come out and see us."

Then the Bodhisattvas Manjusri and Samantabhadra also spoke, requesting to come out and see Zhu Moye.

Zhu Moye hid in the dark, listening to the four people's words, and finally came out. He had to come out, because in the past two days, Grandpa Li finally lay down, his soul was already quite weak, and Xiaohua would probably follow in Grandpa Li's footsteps.

Zhu Moye had witnessed too many tragedies in the past few months. How many people had died because of the Buddha Spirit Formation, including children and the elderly? Zhu Moye's hatred for Buddhism was deep-rooted.

Isn't Buddhism known for its compassion and salvation? How could it be so cruel and ruthless? It's like having the face of a bodhisattva with the heart of a devil.

Isn't it the duty of the emperor to protect the land and the people? But as an emperor, he allowed his people to suffer such a tragedy. Even if he died, he would pray for the people who killed them. How sad it is.

Even if Guanyin and the others didn't make an appointment, Zhu Moye was ready to come out. After knowing that this formation was the Buddha Spirit Formation, Zhu Moye knew that this time Buddhism would not stop him from dying.

Chapter 776: Death

"Your Buddhism is truly wonderful. To be honest, I'm not some blasphemer. Deep down, I have great respect for Buddhism. Even many of my moral values are based on Buddhist theories."

"Yet you have subverted yourselves. For me, you are willing to kill so many people. Isn't this just a barbaric spirit? Kill me and take it away, but your actions will not deceive the heaven forever. One day, they will be exposed. When that happens, it will be the time when your Buddhism will be completely destroyed."

Zhu Moye walked out step by step and stood in front of the four Bodhisattvas. His eyes were red and two lines of blood and tears ran down his cheeks, filled with resentment and grief.

As Zhu Moye approached, the four Bodhisattvas were all shocked. They saw clearly that behind Zhu Moye, there was a huge shadow floating, and there seemed to be a devil inside, howling and roaring.

It was filled with resentment, the resentment of the people in the imperial city. Because of Zhu Moye, these resentments were not wiped out by the Buddha Spirit Formation, but gathered behind Zhu Moye.

Because he is the Ming Emperor, he is the root of all these disasters. Because of his resentment, because of his powerlessness.

"Amitabha!" Hearing about a tragedy and seeing it with your own eyes are two completely different things.

The four Bodhisattvas had all heard of the horror of the Buddha Spirit Array, but seeing with their own eyes the mortals inside being refined and turned into a group of Buddha spirits, they were now filled with resentment, which condensed into a group of black air, which was almost the same as a devil.

The original purpose of the Buddha Spirit Formation was to refine those confused and lost souls, save them and let them stay with the Buddha forever. But now, this Buddha Spirit Formation actually refined a demon.

The black energy behind Zhu Moye kept trying to get close to Zhu Moye, but it seemed to be blocked by something and could not enter Zhu Moye's body.

The four Bodhisattvas saw it clearly at this time. They knew that what Zhu Moye said was correct. If Zhu Moye was a blasphemer of Buddha, then there would be no way that the demon he resented and blessed could not enter his body.

"Come on, kill me!" Zhu Moye roared, his heart filled with grief and indignation. What a position the Four Bodhisattvas held in his heart, yet they actually did such a thing.

Maybe this is just hearsay, after all, history is written by the victors!

"Amitabha!" Guanyin muttered, glancing at the other three Bodhisattvas, all of whom looked dejected. They had bodhi minds but were doing evil things; their hearts weren't necessarily any better than Zhu Moye's at this moment.

"Your Majesty, let's leave this Buddhist formation first!" Guanyin held Zhu Moye with her hand, feeling guilty, and did not imprison Zhu Moye.

The five of them flew towards the sky together, passing through the rays of light gathered from the Buddha's spirits, and were about to leave the Buddha's spirit formation.

Zhu Moye glanced down at the place where Grandpa Li and Li Xiaohua lived, secretly hoping that his death could be used to exchange for the well-being of these people.

Zhu Moye never thought that he would be so noble that he would one day use his life in exchange for the survival of others. He should not interfere in other people's affairs if he is not in a position to do so, but since he has become the emperor of these Limin people, he should do something practical for these people.

Zhu Moye said to himself that if he could use his death to exchange for the lives of these people, he would be willing to do so.

With a thud, Guanyin's body stopped. Zhu Moye came to his senses and found that the five people were actually blocked by the Buddha Spirit Formation. There was a transparent light film above their heads, blocking the five people inside.

"What's going on?" Guanyin asked. She touched the light film with her hand. It was very thin, but flexible. Even with her magic power, she couldn't penetrate it.

The four Bodhisattvas tried, but were blocked by the light film. Then a stream of light flashed, and the four Bodhisattvas saw it clearly. It was the Buddha's light.

But now, the Buddha's light actually blocked the actions of the four Bodhisattvas.

"Hahahaha!" Zhu Moye laughed heartily. "Before the four of you came in, you never thought that this Buddha Spirit Formation would even trap you, right?"

The four Bodhisattvas sank at the same time, which made Zhu Moye laugh even more. If he was destined to die, it would be a pleasure to drag a few enemies down with him.

Soon, Zhu Moye's smile stopped. He looked at the expressions of the four people and saw something was wrong. Zhu Moye's expression gradually became suspicious and he shouted in disbelief: "You didn't come here to arrest me, are you here to die?"

"Amitabha, every sip and every bite is destined by heaven. This Buddha Spirit Formation was originally set up by the four of us. Even if it is for us to sit and die here again, it is also the will of heaven!" Guanyin said, and her body landed first.

Then the other three Bodhisattvas also landed on the ground. Zhu Moye was floating in the air alone, looking at the four Bodhisattvas in disbelief. They just let him go like this, weren't they afraid that he would run away?

Zhu Moye touched the light film above his head, and sure enough, he couldn't get out. Zhu Moye landed on the ground and saw four Bodhisattvas sitting cross-legged on the ground, silently chanting scriptures. From the four people, Buddha's energy continued to float, floating towards the Buddha spirit formation that surrounded them.

It hadn't been that long, but the four of them had actually begun to change. Their appearance remained the same, but Zhu Moye could see that their Bodhisattva essences were decreasing, and their strength was decreasing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

In an instant, Zhu Moye understood everything. After all, these were the four most popular Bodhisattvas among the people. How could they do such evil things?

"Amitabha, four Bodhisattvas, Zhu Moye is ashamed!" Zhu Moye really felt ashamed, and there was also respect in his heart.

"It's a pity that we were unable to rescue these people, and their sacrifice was in vain." Wenshu said, looking at Zhu Moye, there was no hatred in his eyes. Perhaps this was the moment of death, and they would meet and smile to forget all grudges.

"Is there really no way to rescue them? More than 700,000 people, are they just going to die like this?" Zhu Moye was still trying hard. More than 700,000 people were not just a number, they were living lives.

All of these people died because of him, and Zhu Moye felt that he had to fight for everything to save these people. This was not a noble style, but it was what he should do.

The four Bodhisattvas shook their heads. This Buddha Spirit Formation was completely different from what they had expected. If, according to the ancient texts, Zhu Moye, the target of Hongyuan, was captured, they should be able to break the Buddha Spirit Formation by expending some of their energy.

But now, it is obvious that this formation has undergone special changes due to some unknown reasons, making them at a loss.

Chapter 777: Formation Evil Spirit

"Even with the combined strength of the five of us, can't we open this layer of light film?" Zhu Moye asked.

"You can try!" Guanyin replied, and the other three Bodhisattvas nodded.

The five people compared and found that Guanyin Bodhisattva's willow branch, Manjushri Bodhisattva's sword, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva's magic weapon sunflower, and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Zen staff, but Zhu Moye's dragon spear was the most powerful.

"The four of us will inject our magic power into your body, and then you will use all your strength to raise the Dragon Spear and see if you can break through the Buddha Spirit Formation?" Guanyin said, but there was obviously not much confidence in her voice.

And this confidence comes from the wild aura that Zhu Moye carries with him, otherwise there would be no hope at all.

Guanyin and the other four Bodhisattvas stood in the Four Symbols Formation, each using their own magic power to transfer their power into Zhu Moye's body. In other words, Zhu Moye's body was strong enough, after all, the body of a celestial dragon far surpassed the ordinary magic tools.

Although Guanyin and the other four Bodhisattvas were powerful, their physical strength was not necessarily comparable to that of the Bull Demon King. Zhu Moye's body was comparable to that of Sun Wukong, and as his magic power increased, his physical strength continued to increase.

Four powerful magical powers rushed into Zhu Moye's body. Zhu Moye circulated the magical power and gradually condensed it on the dragon spear. He shouted loudly, and his whole body suddenly shot into the sky like a spring with its back compressed to the extreme.

The dragon spear transformed into a golden light, radiant and dazzling to the extreme.

"Go!" Zhu Moye roared, using the momentum of his body's upward speed to launch the dragon spear with all his strength. This shot was stunning to the extreme, even faster than the one that had killed Jin Chanzi.

The Dragon Spear had barely escaped Zhu Moye's grasp when it appeared in the sky. Still, the Dragon Spear's body was invisible, a ball of light instead. Even to Zhu Moye's and the four Bodhisattvas' eyesight, the Dragon Spear seemed to have transformed into a small sun. They looked away, not daring to look directly at it.

"Open!" Zhu Moye shouted, this shout was full of his hope and his hard work.
