Stupid Odin
#256 - Four Gods Fall
The third to erupt was Tyr.
Actually, this wasn't surprising.
As the God of War, Tyr himself was the most suitable deity for such large-scale battles.
In the Aesir pantheon, Tyr's combat power was greatly diminished because the accomplishments of King Thanos and Thor were too dazzling, and because Tyr had sacrificed an arm to trick Fenrir for the gods early on in the myths.
Now, on this battlefield, first the World Tree forcefully invaded, cutting away the opponent's home advantage, and then Thor and Frey delivered powerful strikes. Tyr, as the God of War, didn't even need the power of the Jötunheimr world to supplement him; he could obtain a power equivalent to several top-tier gods right there.
In a trance, warrior after warrior, with varying strengths, roared and launched desperate attacks against the enemy.
In perception, warhorses and knights, one after another, intersected with the enemy, reaping the enemy's blood and life with ultimate combat skills and power.
Countless small-scale battles formed a grand war.
In the rolling rumble that only a war god like Tyr could hear, countless divine powers, like rivers flowing into the sea, merged into Tyr's divine body.
When Thor and Frey killed two Aztec rulers, the bonus Tyr received was tantamount to obtaining a torrent of divine power sufficient to destroy the heavens and the earth.
The Sword of the War God in his hand surged with the power of the entire battlefield. With one strike, the dignified Southern Lord Huitzilopochtli couldn't withstand such a 'simple' blow.
This was 1% skill and 99% brute force aesthetics.
With one strike, the Southern Lord Huitzilopochtli perished.
Among the four Aztec lords, the last to fall was the Feathered Serpent, who had entered the battle state first.
Its grand battle with the World Serpent Jörmungandr finally came to a conclusion. Originally, the Feathered Serpent's physique was at a disadvantage. In the confrontation of divine power domains, there was also Hela, a bug-level powerhouse who became stronger the more people died, helping out. It was worthy of being the number one fierce god of the Aztecs to be able to hold on until now fighting two opponents at once.
Again, its constitution was far inferior to Jörmungandr's, meaning Jörmungandr had many more opportunities to make mistakes. One mistake from the Feathered Serpent would be fatal.
The last injury happened to be on the Feathered Serpent's left wing, which severely affected its speed. It relied entirely on terrain cover to hold on for so long.
When all the mountains and lakes around the cave were forcibly cleared by the World Serpent, with nowhere to hide and those damned Inca gods not daring to come to the rescue, the Feathered Serpent suffered a terrible series of heavy blows.
That scene was too brutal.
In the divine power confrontation, the Feathered Serpent suffered a Netherworld shockwave from Hela that was enough to instantly kill tens of thousands of mortal soldiers. This clearly delayed the Feathered Serpent's movements for a moment.
Taking this opportunity, Jörmungandr's huge serpent mouth, which could swallow a small town, easily bit the Feathered Serpent's right wing. The Feathered Serpent wanted to resist, but the great serpent swung its neck and pressed it heavily to the ground from above.
That wasn't the end. The great serpent's huge serpent body finally seized the opportunity to wrap around the Feathered Serpent's snake body.
The size difference between the two sides was too great. It felt like a snake was entwining with a large loach.
Accompanied by a terrifying strangulation, continuous sounds of bones shattering came from all parts of the Feathered Serpent's body, but the Feathered Serpent only let out a wail.
It wasn't that it didn't want to scream, but it couldn't even scream under the combined attack of strangulation and venom that could easily kill even true gods.
The two giant serpents, one large and one small, kept twisting, and their huge bodies rolled across the ground, instantly flattening a large area equivalent to the area of several human main cities.
The continuous cracking sound of the earth was more like the Feathered Serpent's painful groan.
Before long, the sinking of the earth and the cracks that spread layer by layer in all directions finally stopped.
Under Jörmungandr's strangulation, the Feathered Serpent's body was first crushed to pieces. As the venom spread, the Feathered Serpent eventually turned into a long, cylindrical bag of mucus, and finally turned into pus, merging into the depths of the earth.
Hela was extremely satisfied with Jörmungandr's achievements: "Second brother, I'll take the soul of this chief god."
The great serpent narrowed its smiling eyes: "Good sister, just take it. We're family, why be so polite."
After this battle, its name as the sacred beast of the Aesir gods became even more solidified.
The four Aztec lords had already been taken down one by one, and the remaining Aztec gods entered a collapsing spiral of destruction like dominoes.
However, it wasn't the Aesir gods who truly drove the Aztec gods to extinction.
When the battle line was pushed to the pyramid area where the Aztec gods were located, as the largest pyramid was blasted into rubble by Thor, an Aesir god, who seemed dignified and wore a green, black, and gold-trimmed robe, stood with his hands behind his back at the edge of the battlefield.
"We are deeply grateful!"
The Slavic chief god Perun raised his battle axe high, and the hooves of the two giant war goats pulling his divine chariot were first raised and then heavily lowered.
This seemed to be a horn, and behind him, whether it was the main battle or ordinary life-type Slavic gods, they all tapped their weapons together.
The low shouts of the Slavic gods and servants became unified, gradually converging into a heart-shaking force—as a signature thunder pierced the eardrums of all remaining Aztec beings, a bloodiest massacre that left no survivors began.
The entire Aztec pantheon was in a state of chaos. They left their buildings like ants encountering a flood and fled in all directions, but how could the speed of two-legged mortals be faster than the Slavic gods and servants who drove various divine vehicles?
Clumsy escapes only delayed their time of death for a moment.
The first to be slaughtered were actually the fastest-running mutant jaguars. This kind of beast, mixed with a little thin divine power, would be a great weapon in the mortal army, but unfortunately, they were facing a group of Slavic avenging gods who had regained their divine power.
A rain of ice crystals fell, and the fastest-running group of mutated jaguars wailed.
A jaguar the size of a lion, with its head cut off by sharp ice crystal shards, was tottering. The part above its neck was like being beheaded by a guillotine, leaving only a blood hole the size of a small water tank.
However, the blood hole not only spewed out scarlet flesh and internal organs, but also a few human hearts that obviously did not belong to the jaguar. These semi-real hearts spurted out like a fountain, polluting the avenue within a dozen meters.
The mutated jaguar, without its head, staggered forward a few steps before crashing to the ground, turning into a pile of minced meat. Finally, ice flowers bloomed in each piece of minced meat, completely burying these cruel beasts.
