They were heavy, just pushing them open felt like he was trying to move a car up a hill.

*Creak..!*

Yet he persisted, and with a single creak the doors opened wide.

Almost instantly Xavier and the Anastasia's hair swayed backwards along with their clothes as a strong gust of wind crashed against him and Anastasia.

And when he saw what was on the other side of the room, his eyes widened.

Viera and Elaine be seen sat down quietly before the butler with their butts on the floor and legs crossed.

There was a strange flow of energy circulating around them. The energy felt the same for the both of them but worked in different ways for each.

Xavier slowly and quietly stepped into the room alongside the Anastasia before closing the door. They made as little noise as possible as to not distract his mother and sister.

Upon moving closer, Xavier noticed the objects floating before Viera.

"Reconstruct..." Viera quietly muttered.

One of the objects floating was what appeared to be a metal cube, the moment she spoke the cube instantly compressed itself before expanding into a different shape. While taking the shape, it moved in the shape of a puzzle, some parts of it outlined rotating left and right.

The butler and Anastasia watched with surprise at the phenomenon occuring before their eyes as the cube took it's shape.

*Click!*

With a click, the cube's reconstruction was complete. Viera slowly opened her eyes, only to find a metal knife floating right before her.

Her cheeks grew red from excitement as she quietly panted. "I did it..."

The butler showed her a kind smile before giving her a nod. She proceeded to look over at his mother next to her and watched as she too released a bright glowing light from her heart.

The light pulsated rhythmically, warming the surroundings with every throb.

Her eyes were stuck together in a frown, an exhausted expression grew on her face as she struggled to maintain it.

Viera prayed for Elaine's success as she watched, she could feel that her mother's ability was powerful and that it would be extremely useful.

*Throb* *Throb*

With every throb and pulsation, the light grew warmer and in size. The light which had been around her heart had now enveloped her entire body as her hair began to flow upwards.

'That light... It's a divine element... But what ability?' Anastasia wondered.

*Throb!*

With one final throb, a golden wave burst across the entirety of the room, pulsating through them as it did so.

Xavier looked down at his body, a golden aura had coated it. He swung his arm a few times, before doing some stretches.

'My body feels light... Like it's overflowing with power... And my hunger... It feels slightly '

Xavier wasn't the only one who had felt it. Anastasia, the butler and even Viera could all feel the power coursing through their veins.

[All stats have temporarily increased by 25%]

[Your defence has temporarily been fortified.]

[Ability uses temporarily consume less energy.]

[Your regenerative prowess has increased.]

[Your hunger grows weaker...]

'Holy shit...'

The moment Xavier moved to open up his status to check on his newly buffed stats, a new notification rushed in.

[Buff has been cancelled.]

Confusion spread across Xavier's face once he read it.

'Huh? Why was the buff cance-'

*Thud*

The moment Xavier asked the question, his mother collapsed right then and there before his eyes.

"E-Elaine...!?" He called out in a worried tone

"Mum?!" Viera yelled out from beside her.

"Looks like she just overworked herself.." Muttered Anastasia after conducting her check-up.

She quickly got up and put Elaine on her back before walking towards the staircase.

Xavier at first was hesitant to let her go with Elaine just like that after they had finally met again, but he knew it was for the best that she got some rest.

"Brother? How long have you been here? And are you feeling better?" Viera asked in a rush as she suddenly hugged him.

"Yeah, I'm feeling great." As he returned the hug.

The two released the hug and Viera quickly got to jogging over towards Anastasia. "I'll go with Anastasia to put mum to bed then I'll come back! Wait here for me." Said Viera

'Eh? She knows the maid's name? How long was I out for?'

"Do you want me to go with you?"

"Nope, you can stay right here with me, we need to have a chat." Said the butler with a smile as he placed his hand over Xavier's shoulder.

Xavier watched Viera and Anastasia left the room with Elaine on their backs, the two were happily chatting to one another before the doors closed behind them.

"When did they become so friendly...?" Xavier asked. "And more importantly... How long have I been out for?"

"They became friends while you were recovering. Despite how she feels about you, Anastasia seems to quite like your sister."

"And if I were to make a guess, I'd say you were out for about a day. You slept through the night and morning, and now it's night again." Said the butler.

Xavier was dumbstruck. 'I slept for that long?'

Him losing consciousness was without a doubt his biggest weakness as of now, he needed to find a way to deal with it and soon.

"Why don't we have a seat?" Asked the butler as he snapped his finger.

The moment he did, a platform was created behind both him and Xavier at a height perfect for them to sit on.

Xavier sat on the platform and so did the butler.

"So, what exactly were they doing down here?" Xavier asked

"They said they desired to become stronger to not be a hindrance to you, so I offer to show them how to properly use their abilities. I also taught them a bit about the evolution energy inside of them."

Evolution energy, it was the source of their abilities powers, that much was obvious even for Xavier, especially since the system had explained it.
