Dark, dingy, and wet. "Why am I here again?" It was moments like these that Kana kinda wished she actually wore shoes. Having to trudge through the muddy, swampy forest to get to the other side was not very fun.

Before entering the forest, Kana had met up with Elder Ning inside Maryd city. She found it weird to see the same people standing behind him as before. But she didn't question him about it since she figured it was none of her business and that they were probably helping him with something.

Little did she know those same people were following behind her, led by Elder Ning. Each one with different objectives in mind. Some wanted to befriend Kana, others were too scared to go near her yet still curious, and others with less than noble reasons to want to get near her. No matter the reasons they had, they still had to see things through as they all secretly followed Kana from a distance. It was just that they did not understand why they were always being attacked when they took the same path as Kana. It was as if the demonic beasts of the forest were all ignoring Kana and only attacking them.

Kana had been having it easy. This was because she was purposely allowing her death element to flow out in a wider range in order to ward off any demonic beasts. She did not wish to deal with anything that could poison her. This made those further behind prime targets, causing their journey to be very eventful while Kana was more on a leisurely walk.

The only problem Kana had was just the muddy forest floor that seeped between her toes, causing her to frown as she continued forward. She could now use her water element so she could at least wash her feet once she reached the rocky area of the mountains.

Traveling through the thick mud was no fun for Kana. Sometimes she was almost waist deep as she crossed muddy waters. Because of her death element, the demonic beasts within these muddy waters would all rush to get out, and those who could not would end up dying. But this also made it easy for Elder Ning and the rest to follow her. If it was not for the dead fish floating on the top of the water, Elder Ning wondered just how many of the disciples behind him would have died. In times like these, he had no choice but to wrap them all up in spiritual qi and fly over these areas.

At night Kana would find a large rock to sleep on. She had no worries of anything attacking her, so her nights were always peaceful, unlike the disciples following her, who all had to take shifts to keep watch at night. On the fifth day, Kana finally made it through the swampy forest, and the first thing she did was wash herself off before drying herself. Only then did she feel much more refreshed.

She stood at the base of Mofu Mountain. A mountain that got its name due to all the furry demonic beasts that lived on it. While some were furry and cute, they were all deadly demonic beasts. Battles could be heard off in the distance of territorial fights or plain hunting. The mountain itself stood tall and raised high into the sky. So high that the tip was actually hidden in a blanket of clouds all year long.

The mountain had a foresty lower part with many winding paths leading up the mountain, but the higher part was much more dangerous. With steep cliffs and dangerous demonic beasts, the higher up you went, the risker it was. Kana had to get to the top where the wind king ape lived. It was the area where the spiritual qi was most abundant.

Kana was not sure how strong the demonic beasts were on this mountain, but she knew anything from rank five and above would ignore her death element and attack. At least, this is what Queen told her when she spent time with her. The effects of her death element alone would not be enough to kill the demonic beasts off quickly, unlike those under rank five. The difference between the two ranks was like light and day. Rank five was the first of many huge power boosts. Kana herself was on this borderline.

As Kana made her way up what looked to be a small trail carved out by other demonic beasts, she stopped in front of a very familiar plant. "This is…." Egg shaped and colorful…. "Is this planet's version of that bastard plant that caused  me all kinds of trouble when I was younger!?"

Kana did not hesitate to take a deep breath and puff out a ball of dragon breath at the planet. Once it was burnt to a char, Kana put it out and snorted before walking away. She remembered this plant well because it was the cause of her losing her damn virginity to a damn rock! Just thinking about it made her tail curl downwards and her butt cheeks to clench.

Two days later, a group, ragged and covered in mud, sticks, and leaves, walked out of the forest. "I want a bath…." A young woman whined as she collapsed on the dry ground.

"Why do I feel that Kana had not fought a single demonic beast on the way? The only time I saw demonic beasts was when we came to large bodies of water." A young man asked.

"Probably because of her special ability. It warded them off but killed those who were close." Qiao Song replied with a frown. He had to figure out a way to marry Kana and then have children with her, but he couldn't figure out how he was going to do that when he couldn't even get close to her. Even though this was an issue, he still had not given up on making Kana his.

"At least the ground here is dry." Ming Xiafan  Was looking at things in a better light. He at least knew, for now, they did not need to walk through the muddy forest for a while.

As for Elder Ning, he sat on a rock perfectly clean as he looked at the others, shaking his head. But he felt that maybe this journey was going to do wonders for their future attitudes.
