She never looked back, but she always seemed to know what was following her.

She walked in this noisy crowd, but like an isolated island, no noise could disturb her.

That calmness and professionalism miraculously helped Tifa's troubled heart find a sense of stability.

Although I don’t know what the other party’s organization is, nor do I know their purpose.

But at least, this was the first and perhaps the only piece of driftwood she had grabbed since coming to this strange world.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, they turned into a relatively quiet street.

Finally, Busujima Saeko stopped in front of a high-end apartment building that looked ordinary, even a little too low-key and luxurious.

"arrive."

She finally spoke, her voice still calm.

Tifa looked up at the building that was at least fifty stories high, feeling a little confused.

Is this... the base of the organization she was talking about?

Busujima Saeko didn't explain, but took her straight into the brightly lit lobby.

She did not communicate with the security personnel at the front desk, but walked directly to an inconspicuous elevator at the innermost part.

On the wall next to the elevator, she stretched out her fingers and tapped five times in a certain rhythm on a metal relief that looked like a decoration.

"drop."

With a slight sound, the elevator door slid open silently.

The elevator was empty, and its interior was made of cool-toned metal, looking as smooth as new.

"come in."

Busujima Saeko walked in first.

Tifa hesitated for a moment and followed in.

The elevator began to rise steadily, and the numbers on the floor display jumped rapidly, finally stopping at "42".

Walking out of the elevator, there is a quiet corridor with thick carpet.

Busujima Saeko led her and stopped in front of room "4201" at the end of the corridor.

She pulled a black, unmarked card from her pocket and swiped it against the door lock.

"Click."

The door lock is open.

Busujima Saeko pushed open the heavy door and turned sideways to make way for Tifa.

A smell mixed with disinfectant and air freshener, so clean that it was a little inhuman, came from inside the door.

The room was brightly lit, and what came into view was a modern apartment with minimalist decoration and black and white tones.

All the furniture was neatly arranged and spotless, yet there wasn't a trace of life in the room.

This place doesn't feel like a home, it's more like a...high-end model room.

In other words, a luxurious cage.

Busujima Saeko looked at Tifa, who was standing at the door with a look of confusion and scrutiny in her eyes, her face still expressionless.

She placed the black room card in her hand on the entrance cabinet, making a crisp sound.

"Welcome to your new home."

Her voice echoed in the empty room.

"Temporary."

Chapter 154: Fighting Instructor Tifa

Busujima Saeko's words were soft, but like a stone thrown into stagnant water, they resonated throughout the empty room.

"Welcome to your new home."

"temporary."

Tifa Lockhart stood in the doorway, not moving.

Her eyes quickly scanned the room. The minimalist black, white, and gray colors, the expensive yet cold furniture, the spotless floor, everything placed at an almost obsessive precision.

There is no trace of any life here.

There was not a book, not a single ornament, not even a trace of human scent.

This place doesn't feel like a home, but more like a carefully decorated exhibition hall, or in other words, a gorgeous cage used to display "security" and "abundance".

She could sense that there were several powerful auras lurking in this building, each one far superior to an ordinary person and no less powerful than Shinra's special forces.

They are watchers.

Tifa withdrew her gaze and looked at Busujima Saeko in front of her.

The girl who claimed she could help her maintained a detached calm from beginning to end, as if everything around her had nothing to do with her.

"Where is this place?" Tifa asked, her voice a little wary.

"Third-party safe house."

Busujima Saeko's answer was concise and to the point.

"You will need to stay here temporarily until a full assessment of your situation is made. Food and water will be delivered to your door regularly, and the room has all the living facilities you need. Please do not attempt to leave this apartment."

After saying that, she turned and walked towards the door without any further explanation.

Just as her hand was about to touch the doorknob, Tifa spoke again.

"who are you?"

Busujima Saeko paused but did not look back.

"An organization dedicated to keeping the world normal."

She left an ambiguous answer, opened the door, and disappeared into the corridor.

The heavy door closed automatically with a dull sound, completely isolating Tifa from the outside world.

She was alone in the room.

Tifa walked to the huge floor-to-ceiling windows and looked down at the brightly lit city below. Countless points of light converged into a flowing galaxy, stretching to the end of her vision.

Peaceful, prosperous, yet suffocatingly strange.

She didn't know how long she had been there.

One day, or two days.

Time loses its meaning in this confined space.

She did not touch the food that was delivered to her, but only survived by relying on the clean water she brought with her and the body functions that she had trained under extreme conditions.

She sat cross-legged in the middle of the room, closed her eyes, and tried to sense the presence of the stream of life.

However, there was nothing.

This world was like a glass cover that was completely isolated from her original world. It was clean and empty, without any power she was familiar with.

Just as her mind was sinking into bottomless loneliness, the imperceptible sound of machinery broke the silence.

Tifa suddenly opened her eyes.

The pure white wall facing her was sliding silently from the center to both sides, revealing a passage with a cold metallic glow.

A man in a black suit and sunglasses stood at the entrance of the passage and made a "please" gesture to her.

He didn't have any weapons on him, but Tifa could sense that beneath those seemingly ordinary sunglasses were a pair of emotionless, mechanical eyes.

Tifa stood up and clenched her fists.

She did not sense any hostility from the other party, only a mechanical feeling of absolute obedience to orders.

After a brief consideration, she took a step forward and walked into the passage.

The walls slowly closed in behind her.

At the end of the passage is a sunken elevator.

As the elevator descended at high speed, Tifa felt a sense of weightlessness, but her expression became more solemn.

She could feel that she was going deep into the ground, to an unimaginable depth.

"Ding."

The elevator door opens.

A cold air mixed with ozone, metal and disinfectant hit me in the face.

The scene before her gave her heart, which was used to seeing the magnificent buildings of Shinra Corporation, an unprecedented shock.

This is an underground city...it's hard to describe in words.

The dome is so high that you can't see the end of it. Simulated sunlight shines down from above, illuminating this vast and almost boundless underground space.

Countless people in uniforms of different colors walked hurriedly and orderly through the wide passages. Their expressions were serious and focused, like the indispensable gears in a huge precision instrument.

In the distance, giant metal gates as big as mountains were tightly closed, with warning lights on the gates flashing, representing different levels of danger, from green to glaring blood red, emitting a heart-pounding atmosphere.

Further away, there are towering towers, maglev trains roaring by, and even larger buildings extending into the depths of darkness.

Everything here reveals a sense of technology that transcends the times, and an awe-inspiring power based on absolute order.

Compared to this, Shinra Corporation is like a castle built of building blocks by a naive child.

"this way please."

The man leading the way interrupted her shock.

Tifa collected her thoughts and followed him through the busy crowd into a command tower in the central area.

After several iris and genetic verifications, they arrived at an office on the top floor.
