Chapter 5: Celia's Talent

The second day of Lord and Celie's adventure.

At Celia's strong request, Lord finally decided on a goal.

That is to find the gathering place of the human race.

When Celie asked him why, Lord responded like this.

"Because I want to teach them magic!"

Since humans in this era do not know magic, Lord does not know how humans learned magic in the original history, but it does not prevent him from promoting this process.

"The first thing to learn magic is talent, and secondly, you need magic power within you. I don't think humans have such talent."

Celie said coldly that learning magic in this world is not an easy thing. The elves are the darlings of nature, born with magical talents, and even their lifespans are almost infinite, so it is unlikely that they will die of old age.

Therefore, the elves were able to stand at the pinnacle of the mythological age and become powerful beings that even the gods had to pay attention to.

Looking across the entire world, only the Skywings created by the gods themselves and the demons born from monsters and possessing higher intelligence can be compared with them.

So Celie was a little disdainful of Lord's words about teaching humans magic.

"Humans do," Lord replied confidently. "Am I not the best example? I believe that as long as humans can use magic, they will definitely have a place in this world."

In fact, Lord is still conservative.

Because the gods were no longer around, thousands of years after the end of the mythological era, humans had already stood at the top of the world, and humans could be seen everywhere.

Even the Demon King of the Demon Clan was defeated by brave warriors of later generations.

This is enough to prove that humans have this potential, but Lord does not intend to tell Celia about this. After all, even if he tells her, the other party may not believe it.

She would only understand these things after she witnessed the power contained in the human body with her own eyes.

In response to Lord's confident statement, Celie chuckled and stopped talking.

In her opinion, Lord was one of those people who was extremely lucky. He accidentally awakened his magical talent and accidentally learned to use magic, but this did not mean anything.

Day three of our adventure.

The two encountered the first monster on their journey, or to be more precise, a group of monster wolves with purple and black hair.

In the past, when Lord encountered such creatures, he could only run away, or find an opportunity to climb up a tree and wait for them to leave before coming down.

But now, my Lord, times have changed.

He has helpers around him.

Celia raised her hand and an arrow of light flew out rapidly, piercing through a demon wolf accurately.

"You can also try the magic you learned before."

What Celie was referring to was naturally the light arrow magic that Lord had previously learned from her, but the opponent's light arrows were more appropriately called arrow rain.

While Lord was using magic, Celie carefully observed the flow and control of his magic power.

In fact, among the elves, Celie is also one of those with particularly strong magical talents. Most of the elf magic can be mastered by the other party as long as it is demonstrated in front of her a few times.

Lord took a deep breath and began to cast magic according to the flow of magic he had observed from Celie before. Since he had cast magic once before, he cast it smoothly.

But in Celie's eyes, his magic flowed in a completely different way.

That was a completely different way of magic flow from when he cast the same magic. That was why the opponent could use the light arrow technique with a completely different effect.

More than a dozen light arrows appeared in front of him, but they were smaller than the light arrows released by Sailiai. As he waved his hand, these light arrows shot out in a fan shape, covering the area where the magic wolf was.

"This..." Celie opened her eyes slightly.

Because she was caught off guard, she did not observe the man's magical power and was knocked unconscious by him.

Now that I saw it with my own eyes, I was shocked again.

Although the power of each light arrow was only half of the one she cast, the lack of quality was made up for in quantity.

The demonic wolves surrounding them were shot into sieves in an instant, and the purple-black demonic blood flowed on the ground, causing the grass to wither.

"One more time!" Celie requested.

"But there are no monsters anymore."

"It's okay." Celie cast a detection spell and took Lord to a demon bear. "Use magic on this bear now."

The demon bear roared when it saw the two of them, and then rushed towards them. Lord did not dare to be distracted at all, and immediately released the light arrow technique again.

But this demon bear is obviously much smarter than those demon wolves, and even its defense is much stronger.

Facing Lord's rain of arrows, he first stopped abruptly and then rolled sideways, avoiding most of the attacks. Only two light arrows pierced the opponent, leaving a not-so-serious wound.

But the pain still angered it, making its eyes turn blood red, and it rushed towards the two people much faster.

"Hey! This guy's skin is too thick, it doesn't seem to be working!"

Lord quickly looked at Celie beside him, only to see that she was still immersed in the flow of magic power she had just observed, as if she had not heard Lord's words at all.

Lord was getting anxious. He grabbed her hand and tried to retreat, but Celie's body stood still like a rock.

It was not until the demon bear rushed in front of the two of them and Lord could even smell the beastly stench coming from it that Celie finally spoke.

"Just a monster!"

With a raise of his hand, Lord's rain of light arrows was a perfect replica, even more powerful, and directly penetrated the entire body of the demon bear.

The demon bear, pierced by so many light arrows, naturally died and fell directly to the ground.

"Awesome!" Lord clapped his hands quickly.

He truly deserves to be the most powerful magician in later generations. After just watching it a few times, he was able to perfectly replicate his own magic, and it was even more powerful.

Now my plan to curry favor with someone powerful is more promising.

Elsewhere, however, Celie looked at the fallen beast and shook her head, "Not enough! You can't kill a god like this."

"Hmm? Are you saying anything?"

Lord felt as if he had just heard some extraordinary speech, so he had to pretend to be stupid and asked.

"Nothing. I will teach you more powerful magics. You must transform them into magics that are powerful enough to kill any creature."

Sure enough, what I just heard was not an illusion. The petite master in front of me actually had such thoughts.

This really surprised Lord.

However, when thinking about later generations, the fact that he could think about how to kill a god in the Age of Gods is indeed in line with his character.

"When you find humans, accompany me to a place."

Celie offered, but her eyes held a hint of excitement that was hard to conceal.

Chapter 6 As long as you are alive, you have to do something

"where?"

"In the western land where the gods fell, there is not only a fallen god, but also magic that can kill gods."

Gods are immortal, and this is a concept accepted by all living things in this world.

Just like the elves, they simply have infinite lifespans, but can still be killed by external forces.

If an elf is killed, it will die.

A very simple truth.

Gods cannot be killed, at least not by any magic known to date.

However, there is a fallen god in this area. Even the elves cannot know the exact time of his death. The divine power released after his death covers the entire area, and no magic can detect the scene inside.

After hearing about the place where the Western gods fell from other elves, Celie has always wanted to go there. Now that the opportunity is before her, she must consider whether this is her only chance in this life.

Lord was stunned: "The place where the gods fell?"

What's with this name that sounds like the final copy?

Can gods die? However, judging from the plot's later development towards the end of the Age of Gods, this is indeed possible.

Celie's lips curled up slightly. "It is said that all creatures that have gone in never come out again. Are you afraid?"

Lord shook his head: "No, I'm just curious, why do you want to kill the gods?"

Celia's smile became even brighter. It was her purest smile, without any disguise, and completely sincere.

"Because magic is meaningless if it's not used to kill the opponent, and the same goes for gods."

This is too twisted, is this the master from the Age of Gods?

It was hard for him to imagine how the other party would view the world entering a peaceful day after the Demon King was defeated and the human race won the victory over the demons in the future.

This is probably the scene he least wants to see, right?

But what does this have to do with him? He won't be able to see what happens thousands of years later anyway.

He did not have an infinite lifespan like the elves, and there was no magic in this world that could prolong one's lifespan, otherwise Xinmei would have used it on him long ago.

After all, human lifespan is too short. Even if I spend my entire life with Celie, it would probably be just a short adventure for her.

But Lord now doesn't want to think about these things.

He stood up and stretched: "Okay, let's go take a look. I don't have anywhere else to go anyway."

But he still added, "But at least we have to wait until the humans of this era learn magic."

Since he came to this world, he had to do something. As long as he was alive, he had to do something for the weak human race.

He is very weak, and the only offensive magic he can use so far is a light arrow, but he is already stronger than most humans.

He didn't know how humans in the historical and mythological era learned magic, but he didn't mind being a pioneer.

"This era? Why does it sound weird?"

"Ahem, slip of the tongue. To be precise, it should be my compatriots in this era."

Lord hurriedly explained that he didn't want to reveal his identity as a time traveler, and he would even take this secret with him to the grave.

Fortunately, Celie didn't dwell on it. She just looked at him and nodded gently: "Okay, we'll leave tomorrow."
