He stretched out his hand and shook hands with Yin Li.

Yin Li simply shook hands with him and let go.

Harry looked lost, staring at his hand blankly.

Caroline brought everyone back to the point, "How about we go into Diagon Alley together? This is their first time seeing the magical world too."

"Oh, sure." Hagrid pulled out his pink umbrella charm. "From the dustbin, three blocks up and two across, there it is."

As he spoke, he knocked twice on the brick wall, and a small hole appeared in the wall, and then a wide archway slowly formed.

The scene was indeed shocking, especially the dust falling from the wall.

Yin Li couldn't help but fan away the dust with her hand.

Behind the archway is a cobblestone alley with various shops on both sides.

Many wizards in robes walked on the cobblestone streets, including many Hogwarts freshmen like them.

The magical world is thus presented before everyone.

Harry looked at this shocking scene and had forgotten Yin Li behind him. He followed Hagrid into Diagon Alley. The novelty shops on both sides of Diagon Alley were indeed dazzling.

Caroline also led a few people through the crowd to Gringotts.

As they walked, she introduced: "Gringotts Wizarding Bank is the only wizarding bank in the British wizarding world. It is run by goblins."

Hayden keenly extracted the word "only", monopoly banks can make money.

The main door of Gringotts Bank faced Diagon Alley. A white stone staircase led to two shiny bronze doors. Next to the doors stood a goblin in a scarlet and gold uniform.

After entering the first door, there is an inner hall, and further inside is the second silver door.

There were words engraved on the silver door. Yin Li took a look and saw the words: "Enter, stranger, but beware of the consequences of greed. Insatiable demands, seeking gain without earning it, will be met with the most severe punishment. Therefore, if you attempt to take a portion of wealth from our underground vault that never belonged to you, thief, you have been warned. Beware of the consequences, not treasure."

Then walk further inside and you will see a tall marble hall.

Hundreds of goblins sat on high stools behind a long row of counters, weighing coins on copper scales, examining gems through eyepieces, or scribbling entries in large ledgers.

Hayden and the others were also seeing this kind of scene for the first time, but there was no surprise or shock on their faces. They did not look around like Granny Liu when she entered the Grand View Garden, but just looked straight ahead at Caroline who was leading the way.

Yin Li looked around at these novel things in curiosity.

Those goblins are really hard to describe in words.

Caroline and Hayden exchanged their British pounds for some magical currency. British magical currency consists of three different coins: Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts. These coins are made of gold, silver, and copper, respectively. 29 Knuts equal one Sickle, and 1 Sickles equal one Galleon.

Pounds can be exchanged for magical currency, and there is even an exchange rate between the two. These goblins will definitely not let the pounds sit idle, but will let them circulate. In other words, these magical worlds have business dealings with the ordinary world outside.

Thinking of this, Hayden became more thoughtful. He even felt that his father should have some business related to wizards.

After exchanging some money, Caroline took a few people to go shopping.

Caroline asked Lin Wanrou to take Yin Li to Madam Mokin's robe store to buy a uniform first, because it required measurements and custom-made products, which was a bit time-consuming. She and Hayden went to help Yin Li buy a crucible, a telescope and other miscellaneous items.

"Then let's go, dear." Lin Wanrou took Yin Li's hand and walked towards Madam Mokin's robe store.

She pushed open the door and saw two little boys standing inside, trying on robes at the back of the shop.

Before Lin Wanrou could speak, Madam Malkin already knew why they were there. "Are you going to buy Hogwarts uniforms, dear? Go over there and try them on."

Harry looked up quickly when he heard someone else coming. He really couldn't stand the boy next to him.

Standing next to Harry was a pale, thin young man.

Lin Wanrou brought Yin Li over. Harry looked at Yin Li in surprise. "Hi, um, Upala?"

His tone was hesitant.

Yin Li said sympathetically, "It's okay, just call me that. Can I call you by your name, too?"

"Of course!" Harry accepted happily.

Lin Wanrou stood aside, leaving space for the three little boys to make friends.

The employee in the store put a black robe on Yin Li to show his height, and Yin Li stood there obediently and let her do it.

Seeing that the two seemed to know each other, Draco Malfoy also spoke to Yin Li, "Are you going to Hogwarts too?"

"Yes." Yin Li heard him speak, looked at him and answered.

Harry felt a little uncomfortable when he heard Draco talking to Yin Li.

Then Draco looked at Hagrid outside the window. "Look at that man. He's a servant at Hogwarts, right? I heard he's a very rude man. He lives in a small cabin on campus. He gets drunk from time to time, practices magic, and even burns his own bed."

His tone was arrogant, and his words were full of disdain for Hagrid.

Yin Li frowned when she heard his words.

Harry said dryly, "I thought he was very clever."

Draco then spoke of Hagrid in a mocking tone and talked to Harry about his parents.

Harry tried it first. He wanted to stay with Yin Li, but Hagrid was still waiting for him.

So he had no choice but to say, "Then I'll go first."

Yin Li nodded, and Harry ran towards Hagrid outside.

Draco watched Harry leave, still feeling unsatisfied. He asked Yin Li again, "Are both your parents wizards?"

Yin Li didn't really want to answer him. It happened that he had just tried on the clothes. He said goodbye and ran back to his mother.

Hayden and Caroline were already waiting outside the store.

Lin Wanrou took her son to meet them.

Lin Wanrou looked at the two people who said they were going shopping and came back with only a small suitcase. "Where are the things you bought?"

"It's all here, the shrinking spell, magical magic." Caroline said with a smile.

Lin Wanrou repeated, "Oh, magical magic."

Yin Li had almost bought all her school supplies, but there were still some books left. Caroline planned to let Yin Li pick out some books by herself, as books were the most precious treasure.

They bought the books on the list at Flourish and Blotts, and Caroline asked Yin Li to pick out some books she wanted to read.

Hayden was also strolling around the bookstore casually, and he finally picked up some books about the history of the wizarding world.

Caroline looked at the books Yin Li had chosen: "Hogwarts: A History", "The Origin of Magic", "Pure-Blood List", "Modern History of Magic"...

There are many books on basic principles.

Caroline praised, "Oh, no child would want to read a boring book like 'The Origin of Magic'. You are worthy of being my grandson."

Several people took the books to check out, and then Caroline showed Yin Li the shrinking spell.

Yin Li asked: "Then how can I restore it when I want to watch it?"

"Once you get the charm, Grandmother will be the first to teach you the spell to make it bigger. So let's go, our last stop in Diagon Alley, Ollivander's Wand Shop."

The last shop was a small, shabby one, with a peeling gold sign on the door that read: Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands Since 382 BC. In the dusty window, a solitary wand sat on a faded purple cushion.

After entering, the shop was very small, with only a bench, and thousands of wands densely packed from the floor to the ceiling.

Yin Li peeked inside and saw that the store was also filled with densely packed wand boxes.

"Good afternoon, Ms. Grosvenor. I still remember your wand, the ebony one..."

If Ollivander were allowed to continue, he would have too much to say, so Caroline had to interrupt him, "Ahem, Ollivander, I'm bringing my grandson, Euphra Cavendish, to buy a wand."

Ollivander looked at Yin Li with sharp eyes, "So, Mr. Cavendish, which hand do you use?"

Yin Li replied, "Right hand."

Then he asked Yin Li to raise his hand and measured his size, first from shoulder to fingertips, then from wrist to elbow, shoulder to floor, knee to armpit, and finally the circumference of the head.

Yin Li didn't understand why so many measurements were needed, but he still let him measure them obediently.

"Every wand is unique." Ollivander said as he picked out a wand for Yin Li to try.

"Try this with Hickory and Dragon's nerve."

Yin Li took it and waved it, and a beam of sparks exploded in front of him.

Ollivander shook his head and took back the wand. "No, not this one."

"Ebony, unicorn hair."

As he said this, he handed over another wand.

Yin Li waved again, and the things on the table flew up and then fell down in a mess.

"That's it, that's it. Fourteen and a half inches, elm, unicorn hair, doesn't bend."

As soon as Yin Li took the wand in his hand, he felt the magic power in his body surge. He tried to wave it, and silver light emerged from the top of the wand, forming an animal similar to a white fox. It happily circled around Yin Li twice and then returned to the wand.

Ollivander nodded in satisfaction. "It is the wand that chooses its master. Elm wands prefer owners who are elegant, magically proficient, and naturally noble. Wands made from this wood are least likely to make foolish mistakes and can cast the most elegant spells. You will achieve great things in the future, Mr. Cavendish."

"Lend your blessings."

"Nine Galleons."

After Yin Li paid the money, they walked out. He kept holding the wand in his hand and looking at it. It felt so novel. The wand seemed to be an extension of his arm, a part of his arm.

Although Yin Li had bought all her school supplies, the others still planned to go shopping and buy some new things.

Chapter 82 Harry Potter 3

After they returned home, Caroline cast a magnification spell on the pile of things they had bought, "Grow bigger quickly."

Things return to their original size.

Caroline asked Yin Li to try it, and he succeeded on the first try.

But he was not satisfied after his first success, so he conducted several experiments, trying to make the book into different sizes.

The spells were the same, but the effects were different. This was probably due to the thoughts in Yin Li's mind when she cast the spell. Magic is a power of imagination.

Just like little wizards before they reach the age of 11, they don’t understand spells but can use magic to interact with objects.

After Harry Potter had a bad haircut by his aunt, he was worried that his classmates would laugh at him when he went to school the next day. But when he woke up the next day, his hair had returned to its original state. Isn’t this the realization of his inner imagination through magic?

Yin Li realized that perhaps magic really is omnipotent in this world.

As long as you have enough magic power, you can even achieve immortality.
