Or is it that only Confucian practitioners with a sense of righteousness would be like this?

The master of this valley, the will of the valley, hates Confucian practitioners?

……

The long and narrow Tongtian Valley seems to have no end. The longer you walk, the more cramped it feels.

Fu Yuan also gradually felt his lower back begin to heat up. Thinking of the effect of Tongtian Valley, Fu Yuan knew that this was because the Qi in his body was being activated and began to circulate passively.

Ordinary people's Qi has no "intention" and no intention, so it moves passively.

The Qi of an alien contains his own "intention". Although it can be aroused, he can control it independently.

Needless to say, Fu Yuan's Qi was completely subservient to his own "intention". As soon as he moved his mind, the Qi that was being pulled calmed down.

Chen Duo suddenly spoke up and said, "I'm practicing Qi."

Fu Yuan said: "Let your mind follow your Qi, don't worry about anything else."

Guan Hua had been silent since the sword attack. He now asked, "You seem completely unaffected?"

Fu Yuan smiled and said, "The general of an army can be taken away, but the will of a common man cannot be taken away. Whether I can succeed or not is up to me to decide!"

Guan Hua was silent for a moment, then said, "Who was that old senior you just asked me about?"

Fu Yuan asked curiously, "Aren't you unwilling to tell me?"

Guan Hua said: "I really can't tell you, but I can tell you where to find him."

Fu Yuan understood and said, "Then what do you want to know?"

Guan Hua asked, "How can one cultivate the great and noble spirit?"

Fu Yuan shook his head and said, "Buddhism says 'observe the precepts and practice cultivation'. Practice is auxiliary, and the important thing is 'precepts'. Similarly, 'maintain the will and nourish the qi'. Qi is auxiliary, and the will is the main thing. Maintaining the will will give rise to the great spirit. Using the will to nourish the qi is the great spirit!"

Guan Hua Bu Di asked: "Where is the Dharma door?"

"There are many methods, and each has its own explanation." Fu Yuan sneered and said, "I remember it should have been announced to the public through Tan Yutong."

Guan Hua frowned and said, "What I want is a method that follows a step-by-step approach, not something like 'virtue, righteousness, and trustworthiness' that one always has in mind."

"Really? Then I'll make one for you."

Fu Yuan thought for a moment and said, "The Great Learning says: 'If you wish to rectify your heart, you must first be sincere in your intentions.' When you first establish your resolve, you must be sincere, your words and your heart must be consistent, and you must not deceive yourself or others. Therefore, the first step requires the word 'sincerity,' which means sincerity."

Guan Hua's face turned cold. How many people were stopped by the word "sincerity"?

Apart from anything else, if a Taoist practitioner is sincere, he will already be considered a pure-hearted person and a genius in Taoism.

Fu Yuan said to himself: "Cheng Zi said: To focus on one thing and not be distracted is respect. So the second word is "respect". Respect means to be respectful.

"With awe in mind, as if facing an abyss or treading on thin ice, gather your body and mind, and dare not be distracted!"

Guan Hua said coldly, "How can you find liberation by toiling away your mind and body? How can you be free and at ease?"

"That's why it's Confucianism." Fu Yuan chuckled and said, "If the mind is distracted, it will be scattered and unable to gather. Focus on one thing and let all distractions go. Only then can you see your true nature. So the third word is 'one'. 'One' means single-minded."

Guan Hua couldn't help but clench his fists and walked forward with his head down.

Fu Yuan followed along, continuing, "The Book of Changes says: 'Stillness and stillness lead to understanding. Only when the mind is still can one see the true nature.' Hence the fourth character, 'still.' Stillness means a settled mind. When the mind is like still water, all things become apparent."

The fifth character is "emptiness." "Empty" means emptiness. If the mind is empty, it embraces all things without clinging to them. If one can be empty, one can accommodate; if one can accommodate, one can communicate; if one can communicate, one can transform.

The last character, "Ming," means brightness. Once the light of the mind is revealed, it is the time to see the true nature of the mind. At this time, the mind is illuminated within and responds to all things without, reaching all things.

The viewer turned a deaf ear to the painting and just focused on moving forward.

But Chen Duo murmured softly: "Sincerity, respect, unity, tranquility, emptiness, clarity..."

Fu Yuan turned around and said to her seriously, "These six words must be practiced step by step. First, be sincere and don't deceive yourself. Then, be respectful and reverent, as if you were respecting an elder. Then, be single-minded and don't be swayed by things. Gradually, you will enter a state of tranquility, like still water. Then, you will reach the state of emptiness, where all things are embraced. Finally, you will gain enlightenment and see the light of your original mind."

Chen Duo seemed to have realized something. His mind moved according to his will and his thoughts followed his Qi, and he gradually entered into a state of sudden enlightenment.

Fu Yuan smiled, took Chen Duo's hand, and led her forward.

The man who was looking at the painting turned his head and took a look with a complicated expression.

Fu Yuan chuckled and said, "I told you long ago that you should have "virtue, righteousness, and trustworthiness" in your heart. If you don't believe it, who can you blame?"

Guan Hua snorted, spit out the name "Nason Island", and walked forward in silence.

……

Finally, after passing through a long canyon, the group arrived at the entrance of a cave. It was pitch black inside the cave and nothing could be seen.

Looking back at the canyon, Fu Yuan couldn't help but sigh: "It's truly a masterpiece of nature, beyond our ability!"

Guan Huachaonong asked, "What? What did you see?"

Fu Yuan said casually: "If you plant flowers with care, they won't bloom; if you plant willows by accident, they will grow into a shade."

Guan Hua was stunned: "What does it mean?"

Fu Yuan didn't explain, and asked, "How do we get inside the cave?"

Guan Hua understood that it was another deal, and said coldly: "The cave is well connected, just follow the main passage and stay out of the way!"

Fu Yuan nodded and said, "If you plant a willow tree unintentionally, it will grow into a shade because of the will of heaven. If you plant flowers intentionally, they will not bloom because of human nature. The difference between human nature and the will of heaven lies only in the word 'heart'.

Just like this valley, it was formed by the way of heaven, but it was formed by the way of man. The difference lies in the word "heart".

Having said that, he didn't elaborate further.

Guan Hua groaned and took the lead into the cave.

Fu Yuan took Chen Duo's hand and quickly followed, and then it was the turn of others.

The cave was pitch black, and one couldn't see one's hand in front of one's face. Guan Hua, for some reason, didn't light a lamp or a torch.

At first, Fu Yuan was able to rely on his hearing to distinguish Guan Hua's footsteps, but as Guan Hua deliberately confused the footsteps, and the people behind him disrupted the sound...

After walking for only about half an hour, Fu Yuan stopped, stood there for a moment to concentrate, and then took Chen Duo and changed direction.

He knew where to look at the painting, but at the same time he also sensed something in his mind.

Since Guan Hua was deliberately making trouble, he would just follow his own feelings.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, we came to an open area in front of us. A ray of sunlight came in through the crack in the cave ceiling and shone on the center of the open area.

There happened to be a stone platform in the sunlight.

On both sides of the stone platform, there seemed to be a phantom sitting opposite each other and discussing.

An old Taoist priest and a Confucian scholar, their figures were ethereal and their appearance and clothes could not be distinguished, as if it was just an illusion of light and shadow.

A voice echoed from the darkness: "The way of heaven and earth is eternal and unending. All things have their place and each is content with their destiny..."

"Who can think of it better than controlling it with animals? Heaven's will can overcome man, and man's will can also overcome Heaven..."

"To be born without possession, to act without reliance, to grow without domination..."

"People are born to fight, to fight for fame, for profit, for wealth, for power..."

"The laws of nature are unpredictable. They do not exist for the sake of Yao, nor do they perish for the sake of Jie..."

"..."

The voices of the two were hazy and intermittent, sometimes appearing and sometimes not. One could only see that the old Taoist seemed to be gradually convinced by the Confucian scholar.

In the sunlight, the shadowy figure of a Confucian scholar stood up and declared: "...The country has only been established for a hundred years, and its shortcomings are already apparent. If we follow the will of heaven, the country will be destroyed... But if people's minds are stable, there will be no cholera... I am willing to... establish new laws... to use my own will to represent the will of heaven..."

The old Taoist priest slammed the table and stood up: "I am willing to follow you... to resist the will of heaven... to prolong the country's fortune for a hundred years..."

The shadows changed, and the two seemed to be discussing something and arguing endlessly.

As the light and shadows shifted, the shadows of the Confucian scholar appeared less and less, and most of them were shadows of the old Taoist priests wandering in the cave...

Time flew by, and only the old Taoist was left sitting cross-legged on the stone platform, gradually turning into a pair of dry bones...

At the moment the dry bones collapsed, there seemed to be a roar at the top of one's lungs: "Wang... you lied to me... Confucians are all liars..."

The next moment, Fu Yuan suddenly woke up.

The ray of sunlight inside the cave turned into golden fireworks, filling the entire cave.

A head burning with golden flames like a small sun occupied the entire empty cave. It was like the power of heaven, with a huge mouth opened, biting towards Fu Yuan and Chen Duo.

"Confucian cultivator... damn it..."

Chapter 96 God's Will, Subduing the Demon

Confucianism is not a technique like "Postpartum Care for Sows", which seems to be "nothing", full of empty words and without substance, but once you truly follow it from the bottom of your heart, you will find that it is "useful in everything" and can be used everywhere.

Confucianism is the ability to crack the code of higher thought. Its efficacy lies in enlightening people's consciousness and shocking their souls. This is what all living beings need: merit, fame, wealth...

Confucianism focuses on "intention," and its core lies in "sincerity." When intention is sincere, a certain induction will arise from within oneself. This induction transcends everything, transcending life and death, time and space...

This kind of sensation can be called "knowing" or "awakening" in Buddhist terms.

In fact, ordinary people also have the inspiration of "perception" occasionally. Just like when a person sneezes, nine out of ten times it means that someone is thinking about him, and he feels it. He even summarized the saying "first scold, then think, and then catch a cold".

There is also the saying “left eye twitching means wealth, right eye twitching means disaster”… These are all part of this kind of mysterious induction. They may not be accurate, but they definitely exist!

Recite the name of God and God will respond!

From the moment he stepped into the valley, Fu Yuan had a vague feeling that he was wrapped in a layer of blood light. This blood light represented murderous intent or hostility. It did not actually exist, but he could sense it.

At this moment, facing the golden flaming head in front of him that looked like a little sun, Fu Yuan's feeling immediately turned into a murderous intent that rushed straight into his heart!

Fu Yuan could even sense that the flaming head had only one "thought" at this moment, the only sincere "intention". It felt that it was a sun, emitting endless light, illuminating the entire world, and could also devour and burn the entire world.

At this moment, the flaming head seemed to represent God's will!

Under God's will, Fu Yuan's "will" was suppressed like a candle in the wind, facing the danger of being extinguished at any time.

"bass--"

Fu Yuan drew his sword with his backhand, his eyes emitting a faint fluorescent light, his awe-inspiring spirit surging and rising to an unprecedented level. He whispered, "My heart is not made of stone, it cannot be turned. My heart is not made of mat, it cannot be rolled up!"

He uses words to strengthen his heart and enhance his noble spirit.

At the same time, the long sword in his hand turned into clear light, which swirled like a storm. Each ray of light was like a sword thread, intertwined and stacked layer by layer.

"The scholars must not fail to Hongyi, there is a long way to go!"

While strengthening your own righteousness, you must also reduce the opponent's murderous intent.
